    Super clear tutorial - no fluff and not too long. Excellent!

    Good stuff Doug, like the way you can sequence out with Taipei to external synths so simple to get something going.

    I have used SynthMaster Player with Taipei and it doesn’t work to well. I think Taipei needs to be in improved on.

    Some Questions: I love the loudness Maximiser in app purchase in the mixer section of Gadget 2 to help compress and master all tracks when mastering, how do I route the audio from external synths apps from AUM back into Gadget 2 so it can record all the tracks to one using the ZURICH reel to reel recorder in Gadget is that even possible? Can I change record bitrates to 96khz in AUM ? What’s a good loudness maximiser mastering app compatible with AUM? Thank you so much for all you do, ended up buying two synths haha, and always recommend and praise your channel on reviews!

  • @christianjelic169
    @christianjelic169 4 ปีที่แล้ว

    Any clues on why AUM is not registering Gadget or why Taipei plays Mitosynth with 0 issues yet “any” other ext synth gets 0 response. The audio is jumping on the mixer btw so I’m guessing it’s there, just not coming through. I’m stumped.

    Can you do program changes from Taipei? E.g to change Minilogue patches? I can’t seem to work out how to do it.

  • @AndyChannelle
    @AndyChannelle 5 ปีที่แล้ว

    I think this changes everything. I’ve just added Digital D1 to a project and it works flawlessly. As easy, in my view, as doing AUv3 plug ins, and much simpler than working with multiple devices in Cubasis

    Hey, I was wondering, on korg for mac, can you use taipei to control garageband on the same device

    What's Gadget like compared to Imaginando LK?

    • @TheSoundTestRoom
      @TheSoundTestRoom  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      It’s impossible to compare those two apps, they are totally and completely different types, Gadget is DAW and LK is a MIDI Controller

    Looks nice but it is not working for me . I load Taipei in one of my Gadget 2 tracks, open another Synth App, set this App midi Channel 1 and set Taipei output With the name of this synth and set output Channel as 1. At first looks Ok but as soon as I try to change anything,like the sound of my other synth Taipei stop working and other basic functions in Gadget stop working as well. Maybe some bug with this iOS version or this specific iPad model. Can you share your specific scenario?

    • @DeanWThomas
      @DeanWThomas 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      I recently had this same problem. After everything is set up in AUM as Inter App Audio, Close all your Apps on the iPad. I found that if you open AUM without having any other apps open... then open your other synths from within AUM, the problem goes away. Additionally if you set Gadget up as Inter App Audio and all your synths as AUV3, you will not have this issue.

    Hello li couldn’t have sound from KASPAR iOS synth with Taipei. It seems to have imidi connection but no sound. Can you comment about that?

    I believe the only missing thing for gadget iOs is to send Program change, It would be nice if the desktop version could load vst/au. With this and more quality effect could be a appreciated easy cheesy daw. Mainstream Daws have become so complicated and boring

    Hi Doug, thanks for all your videos, they have assisted me greatly. I have been trying to use Taipai with Audiokit Synth One and iWavestation, but strangely, there is no sound, even though the MIDI output channel is set to 1. Any thoughts or suggestions please?

    • @imjacobyournot
      @imjacobyournot ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes. Make sure to have your App (audiokit Synth One) with background audio out. I’ve been having headaches with this Gadget and I thought i would help out. Now you just have to figure out how to save the actual audio from your Taipei. That one i am struggling with. Every .WAV is a blank sound.

    Hi great stuff
    Although I’m not having much luck setting it up. Followed the video but no joy.
    Does it work with Arp Odyssei or ims20?
    Or am I missing some fundamental setting.
    Thanks

      I'm having trouble too. I want to do exactly what he is doing in this video but it doesn't show how the Gadget session was set up in detail and I can't get it to work. Let me know if come up with anything. Its probably something simple we are doing wrong. lol

      Hi
      I still cannot get it to work. I even purchased the Mitosynth and copied the video meticulously. Very frustrating.

    • @DeanWThomas
      @DeanWThomas 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@garethcole8295 I eventually got it working. I'm by no means an expert but Taepai and AUM together have opened up a lot of new options for me. What part are you having trouble with?

      Hi. Great to hear you finally got it to work. I gave up. Followed the tutorial to the word. Even got the mitosynth. Just no sound at all. Do I need to run it through aum? I’d love to be able to hook up my iPad synths. Especially the arp oddysei. Cheers

    No internal midi routing unfortunately. I don't understand why internal devices don't received midi from Taipei. Please fix this Korg.

  • @jorhay1
    @jorhay1 3 ปีที่แล้ว

    Can you explain why, even though they show up in the output list, some apps work with Taipei and some don’t?

  • @hamerray
    @hamerray 5 ปีที่แล้ว

    Why is it that the Au3 has to be open up in order to work in Gadget 2, where as other DAW programs it doesn’t have to be open up.

    But why the heck am I not hearing anything in Taipei from Sunrizer?
    I see it playing in Taipei cause the sound lights move yet can’t hear sunrizer in gadget damnit..
    Your a good guy but I wish you made it easier to figure just how to connect sunrizer to gadget Taipei please?

    • @TheSoundTestRoom
      @TheSoundTestRoom  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      You can’t play Sunrizer inside Gadget, that’s why you can’t hear it inside Gadget.
      All Taipei is doing is actually playing Sunrizer externally, you will of course hear Sunrizer if you turn on BACKGROUND AUDIO in Sunrizer, there is a switch for this in the top left of Sunrizer, tap that and Sunrizer will also play in the background, so you then go back to Gadget and you also be able to hear Sunrizer and make adjustments to Taipei, but if you press record inside Gadget on the Midi Data from Taipei will be recorded, not the sound of Sunrizer

    • @gracie99999
      @gracie99999 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      The Sound Test Room sorry man I did as you said but still ain’t hearing nada.
      It’s alright I’ll just kissed cause sunrizer got some good sounds..
      So what your saying is once connected properly between the two, I could play sunrizer sounds within a gadget app?
      I see that’s it’s external but whatever the case, I will be able to play nice sounds from sunrize..cause I am..
      Idk man, you too much to figure out I’ll just pass on tailei, no wonder free I can’t use it

    • @gracie99999
      @gracie99999 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Did mean “you” too much to figure out but this issue I’m having.
      I see what you mean that Taipei allows the playing of Sunrizer externally.
      I did turn in background on sunrizer in left upper corner and this button is blinking..
      Then I went into gadget and set sunrizer at channel that was set on midi out I believe in sunrizer and matched it with gadget channel..
      Still hear no sound while play Taipei.
      It did work once setting up another app awhile back, so I know it works.
      Sorry man, this frustrating cause I have some apps I could use in track I’m working in in gadget.
      Peace

      The Sound Test Room awesome man! I’ll be on the look out!
      If you don’t mind me suggesting a way...if possible can you do step by step detailed guidance on how to set up Taipei with Sunrizer please.
      I’m guessing I’m missing something..
      Thanks man!

    If you figured out how to record pitchbend and modulation wheel into taipei from a midi keyboard, that would be a nice followup.
