Hi Doug, It’s important to have quantize OFF when recording these grooves. Some have subtle timing differences that get lost after quantizing. Just make sure you got “Trigger sync” on. Another cool thing: while recording you can even switch between the different styles (breakbeat, disco, funk, etc)
I’ve known about this feature for a long time, and I learned about it from one of YOUR videos. But it’s good to remind people of how good Gadget really is. It could use a good “refresh”, with stuff like randomization and probability, but it’s still a darn good music making tool. Thanks for recapping one of the best features of Gadget!
Bloody hell, how did I not know about that feature? That’s brilliant, very cool. Thanks for highlighting it! Will definitely make use. Gadget is my happy place 😊
I have switch version which has not been updated to my knowledge and does not seem to have this great feature! Maybe I’ll send an email to the company, surely they can do it! were other versions automatically updated to latest version?
That because it now has its own screen, open a drum gadget, you will see three tabs at the top of the gadget, they are, GADGET - EFFECT - PLAY, tap the PLAY tab, it now opens up that screen👍😊

Korg gadget is so good. Thanks as always for your excellent content
Super feature which, as you said, is sometimes overlooked!

Great video - thank you & thumbs up!
Ace feature that might persuade me to give gadget another go Doug. Cheers. Lee

Cool Doug :)
Can you change the note on each drum pad? Example, Roland mc 707 pads only trigger about half the Bilbaos’ pads?
So I bought a whole bunch of Korg Module Pro inapps. Would my Module soundpacks work in Gadget?
Yes
I have Gadget 3 and that button does not appear

Found it. Not a button any more. It’s the PLAY tab
Can I mute certain drum sound when running a pattern?
'promosm' 🙏
