In 'Gas Food Lodging' she was beyond believable as a really sweet lonely girl that was thinking about everyone else first. 'The Craft' is an obvious classic, because of her expressive acting. And there are other movies where she was shining.
She looks just like her mom, a wonderful dancer. Her dad is a gifted musician and plays like 20 something instruments and was a jewelry artisan. A very talented family of artists! I envy her.
True Fairuza Balk fans wouldn't necessarily say she's dark but she does take roles that are difficult, controversial, daring, and stretch ones acting chops instead of roles that are glamorous, brings more money, or a higher status in Hollywood. Kudos to her for not being a sell out.

She knows how to work with a crowd and a rude host, I mean of course this was back in the day, but still, her playful nature and sweetheart attitude can melt everyone. She also has a great sense of humor, I guess she has been ok being off the radar doing indie films and the such. Her charisma and expressive ways work very well any part she plays in and it is what made her so good in THE CRAFT film. I even love her in THE ISLAND OF DOCTOR MOREAU film and that film is not well liked by many and yet you could see her talents as a dancer thanks to her mother being a former dance instructor.
I think that she withdrawn herself from mainstream after her experiences with 'Island of Dr. Moreau' clusterfuck. She had enough of this Holywood bullshit, working with people that have egos bigger than their actual talent and all this big contract slavery that forces actors to work on the movie even when atmosphere is all fucked up and it affects actors' wellbeing. She's a smart woman that respects herself, has artistic sense and she even protects her privacy from the media. Holywood mess doesn't deserve people like Fairuza. She's beyond their bullshit.

I knew if I asked him to play any song on the radio he would, I guess to bless my faith. So I said "ok, Lord play "Come as you are by Nirvana". I turned on the radio and the song started playing right there on the spot, perfectly… I started getting flooded with chills like a waterfall, crying, and trembling. He stayed with me for 10 minutes in my driveway. until I got outta the car. A couple months after that I started getting amazing prayers answered way more often, because it helped me quit doubting when I pray and I was lined up with biblical instructions. It's 6 years later and I still get answered prayers in Jesus name.
