Happy 50th anniversary, Squeeze! Two of the best songwriters ever. And Glenn always amazing in the guitar solos. Their Royal Albert Hall performance about 8 years ago was a highlight of my decade living in London. What a shame though this interviewer didn’t know which was Glenn and which was Chris!
1971 Glasto age 6 yrs old. i dont remember hardly any tents, everyone slept in the main marquee, i remember because i had to step over hundreds of people horizontol on the floor. It took ages to get from one side to the other :-)
Why Squeeze weren’t shown on the BBC is a travesty - such a great band, and one that I’m particularly fond of. Poor show BBC - but I don’t expect anything better. Can’t even get 2 of the best British songwriters since Lennon & McCartney in the right order……rubbish BBC. I’m glad the interview apologised to you - he needed to!
