North Devon has some really tight roads. Going to Croyde bay was very tight from memory.

Thank you so much for your video, what a journey, we went to Pembrokeshire a few years ago didn’t have a caravan then , but we passed a Motorhome on its side on the motorway and a fire engine turned in front of us and we were the last car they let pass before they closed the motorway, learnt later is was closed for four hours, anyway it looks like an awesome site, hope you have a wonderful time and until next time take care, 👍❤️🥂.

We have recently returned home from a 3 week trip with 13 nights in Scotland as part of it but didn’t have to tow along any roads that narrow or winding. You’re very brave. Well done for navigating those roads - that's the one thing that concerns me about taking our caravan down to the west country, even though we have a suitable Sat Nav and I'm a competent driver.

Road works on North Devon link road been going on for a few years complete nightmare as is M4 at Newbury at the moment. Great video you have had good weather this week😎

Hi Keith & Michelle,a great vlog as per usual. We did the same journey last year and I have to say it’s the worst one that I’ve gone towing a Caravan. I found that going back through Ilfracombe was so much easier. Our van is 7m long plus the car, you’re lucky that you had the good weather as it rained every day when we were there. It’s not a place that we’d be going back to in a rush.

Hi there...my goodness your brave towing through Coombe Martin...we went there last year but not with a caravan...!!but isn't it a beautiful place..it took us 7 and a half hours to get home..so you did very well..x

Hello. I hope you enjoyed the site and area. I know what Keith means about tight roads and towing. I'm not keen on them at all and avoided booking a highly recommended site in North Cornwall as the last 5 miles is single tracked. Have a lovely week x

We visited that campsite just after being let out on lock down.
Always remember the road being a bit of a challenge with my 24ft caravan on the back😮
I did fish the onsite lake ,but hardly had a bite all day😂
I also recall that it was probably the only campsite that offers the use of a bath for a small charge 😊

Well done on your journey we've done all that years ago now. But since retiring we only do travel within an hour from home. But on your commentary I heard you say you had a phone call ON SITE, I have worked on building sites since I was 15 , and was wondering if it was that kind of site you meant.

You should love North Devon. Been there many times. Stunning scenery. Beautiful beaches. Lovely cream teas. Nice steep hill and turn into Newberry campsite but once you’re there it’s fantastic.
Think you’ll probably travel across the edge of Exmoor too.

The first time I used an online booking system I somehow managed to book five pitches instead of the one I wanted. Oops!
Fortunately the site was incredibly good about it, helped by the fact it was a bank holiday and they had a list of people desperate for pitches, probably because I'd booked them all.

Well, that looked like the longest journey 😮.
The last few miles did look a tad tricky, glad you made it safely, we were worried when you checked in that both bookings had been cancelled 😮 thankfully not.
The site looks stunning especially in the sun, glad you had a mover on though.
Hope everyone in the crashes were OK but it had a whiff of rubber neckers on the other side.

Hi both. So glad you told us about your booking mistake. Thought it was just us we are also of a certain age. Made a booking to Suffolk just after Christmas paid a deposit and forgot which site we booked. No emails could not find it on our bank records so ended up booking another site which happened to be the one next door. Long story but all sorted now 😅😅😅

North Devon Link road is a nightmare at the moment with all the road works. Lovely part of the country though so welcome to Devon. We've stayed at Mill Park just down the road from where you are. Think Combe Martin has the longest main street of any village in the country...bit of a drag if go in and out that way for trips out but a beautiful part of the county.

Stopped at that site a few years ago when the wolfman and his wolfs were there,really interesting stay,youngest daughter was into wolfs?. 7 hour drive for us loved every minute, now we go to scotland twice a year to visit another daughter and grandson and that`s a 9 hour trip, travel time (only 1 hour flight but what a bugger it was to get the caravan booked on it 😂). Do you normally stop in the coach parking when theirs a perfectly good caravan park round the corner? just saying😂. Enjoy your stay. Mick

We love north Devon, and been many times. The route you took is a nightmare, far too tight especially through Combe Martin.
We found it is better carrying on down the A361 to Barnstaple and approach from the opposite side of combe Martin through Hele bay, you go by the new Tesco Store at Ilfracombe. A bit longer but easier.
If you go again, try Woolacombe sands Holiday Park with sea views, lovey park with very good access.
