DIY no sew curtains from sheets
I don't understand how anyone could dislike this video. This is AMAZING!
becasue not all sheets have the big empty part on the end derrrrrrr
Haters got to hate
This is Ingenious!!! Thanks for the tip. Sheets will be flying off the shelves at Wal-Mart after this. (LOL)
+Cre8vlyMe Lol! Thanks my friend! 😉💕💕🌺xoxo Michelle
Three years later and the sheets are now $16
@@trishcraft That’s some inflation, huh? 😃
O people have used sheets for curtains for years. It's good to see a how to video on this. 😊
Your tutorial was clear, concise, and so well-done. Loved the pics of the beautiful rooms as well. Thank you!!
Having a party and literally neeeded to cut cost for drapes! This was life saving
I made these just this weekend. I took it a step farther and bought dark and light sheets. I sewed a light sheet to the back of a dark sheet, as a liner to help with the sun. They were so simple! And work great! I sewed 4 sheet panels each with sheet liners on each for my living room windows. I spent a total of $40.00 and they look wonderful. So far no one has even thought that I made them out of sheets (my secret). I was curtain shopping and the prices were so expensive, I didn't want to pay that much as we will not be in our house long.
Thank you !!
Wow!! You really nailed it! I love the idea of putting the sheets together! Genius! 💕💕
Candee Rose do you have pictures. I would like to see them
How smart
turned out nice. My mother did that for my bedroom when I was in 6th grade and I did it to my daughters room 8 years ago. A very wise way of saving money. Because curtains that match bedding are usually thin and over priced. i really like the gray and white.
+Tammy B. Jones You are so right about them being over priced! I'm always asking myself why is this piece of fabric $60?? It's craziness. They are really making their money.
awesome i just love my sisters on youtube every time i think of idea one of blessings do it for me... God is so awesome....Blessings my sister
Your home is absolutely beautiful. My husband doesn't think I can get this done in a day. Can't wait to prove him wrong. Thank you for the great tips. I appreciate how concise you are. I will be following your design tips for sure.
LOVE this! Ive been shopping around and I love that IKEA has great, inexpensive curtains, however, I'm now on a super tight budget and this fits the bill and looks beautiful! Can't wait to finally add some color and glam to my living room :)
Thank you so much for this!! I am turning a 10x13 portable building into my TH-cam and podcasting studio. This building has 4 windows that I already stuffed with thick moving blankets and I wanted to buy curtains but the estimate was $600 so I found your video and only spent $20. YOU ROCK, YOU ARE AWESOME, YOU ARE A GENUIS!!!!!
Good luck with your new TH-cam channel studio.
@@Dezinefun Thank you!
That thundering in the back is soooo freaking relaxing!!! I love when it rains.... great video though
I know this is an older video but I thought the same thing...: then I thought I’m I hearing thunder or maybe not 🤣 I love this channel so glad I found her
You just saved me a lot $$$$$$$$$.
back in the whole gosh middle seventies my mom made from sheets a bedspread it was padded on top and then hung over the bed from my sister and then she made curtains and kind of like a cafe style but longer they were beautiful and not only did she make that out of sheets she also made Sun tops you know what the elastic run through and around all over they were beautiful and we sold them at the swapmeet and LA or out in Saugus we sold out made dresses the sundresses it was a hit back then I'm glad to see you did this looks very pretty and elegant.
+Kellie Westley wow! That's so cool that your mom was so resourceful! I didn't even think of making clothing from Sheets. I think I may give it a go. TFS. 😊
Your home is very elegant ❤. Thank you for sharing this with us.
Ive done this. I lov it. So easy too when you want to wash whatever you can just throw these in too, put in dryer for ten n then hang them back up and wrinkles just fall out if yu can leave the window open a bit. Thx for sharing. Beautiful bedroom.💚
Runs to Wal-Mart for sheets! 🏃🏿♀️🏃🏿♀️😍😍
Cynthia Ashley lol
Cynthia Ashley, me as well, and had to travel to three different Walmarts in my area to find the 6 in color I needed. I guess people are hip to this, because all the fitted sheets was in place, but all the flats was sold. 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
Running behind you😂😂
Very easy and cost effective....tfs
Omg this is phenomenal! Thanks so much for sharing this DIY. Heading to Walmart now to pick up 4 packs for twin sheets.
Thank you so much. Now i can use the sheets sitting in cupboard and make curtains for my son.great idea and not expensive. Yay.
WOW, thanks for the tip. I have given up on curtains because they're so expensive. But thanks to you I will go back to hanging curtains.
+SandyD hi Sandy, curtains can be really pricey. I'm glad I could help with this tip!
Thank you for keeping this video so short and to the point . This was SO helpful to me !
I’m glad I could help 😊💖
I've been doing this for soo many years, and it's a great easy way to make your own customized curtains, you can add a touch of ribbons, lace or other cheap fabrics, you can sew( if you like), you can use fabric glue, or use stichery witch( may personal favorite). Thanks sharing and bring back to life, this easy DIY project💖
+Millie Figueroa Hi Millie! My next project for my daughter's room is to add white and teal together and then add Pom Pom trim using fabric fuse! We are super excited! 😉💕💕🌺xoxo Michelle
hope you share, can't wait to see it💖
That hem pocket is BRILLIANT! Because (I think) it might be wide enough to manage a flat cafe rod for a valance look. Good Job! (And heck - I'd probably snip the panel then just wash the things, grab them out of the dryer right away & hang them before they can wrinkle.)
Love this idea! So easy! Thank you!
Love your idea!!! I always purchase twins and Queen sheets at least every other month. So my closet is full of different colors and designs. Thanks Awesome. Fabulous. Looking forward seeing your next design.
I did this in my son's room when they were young , I tried to tell folks it work's 💯
Ridiculously simple! Thank you for sharing, my mind is blown 👏👏👏👏
Great time saver and Money. Fabric is fabric. You could also use those clip on hooks for a more pleated effect. Thxs for sharing.
Great idea. When I was younger my mom did that when she bought her house. I think every room except the bathroom and kitchen has sheets up for curtains and it looked real nice. She coordinated each room.
+dabosslady76cs it sure is a great way to save some money! 😉💕💕
I liked and subscribed simply for this video. I just moved I to the roughest apartment I’ve lived in and I’ve been trying to find affordable ways to elevate it. These curtains will be life changing!
This idea is genius! I love the idea of using multiple colors too! I'm doing this for my bedroom for sure!
Peggy Allen Me Too!
+Peggy Allen Hi Peggy! These curtains are so fun to make! I'm getting ready to make another pair for my daughter's room. She wants teal and white. Luckily Walmart has teal now. 😉💕💕 xoxo Michelle
Oh my gosh! Teal is my favorite color these days! I have to get some. Can you show us the curtains you make for your daughter when done?
You better 🗣🗣🗣🗣
NOW I CAN CREATE EXACTLY WHAT I'm visioning in my head.....
Thank you for sharing
Thanks Ni'Schelle! Glad you like the idea! Save that money! Yessss
You are Tops! I knew I would find an easy and inexpensive way to do curtains!👍🏽👍🏽
Excellent idea!
I love coordinating my master bedrm & bathrm so I make shower curtains with sheets & add a liner. I also do the two toned on the bottom & sometimes on the side of the sheet. Very classy & rich looking yet, so inexpensive. Nice job!
+Lady ZR33 That's a great idea! I'll have to give that a try! 😉💕💕 xoxo Michelle
I had the idea in my head about bed sheets being curtains. You just made it easier for me. Less sewing I have to do.
OMG!! I'm so thankful for creative diy'ers like you who make and share stuff that I can actually do!!!! Now...off to Walmart.
+Teresa Surles I love changing up a lot and making Sheets into curtains allows me to that without breaking the bank. Lol! I'm glad you like it! Happy decorating!
I did this in my living room last month and I also made a longer curtain rod since I couldn't find one the length or the price I wanted 😁. It turned out gorgeous, very cost efficient way to elegantly treat a window. Tfs.
+Jordan Thompson Hi Jordan! I'm glad it turned out great for you especially that curtain rod! I love changing up a lot and I love using Sheets to change up the look! Can't beat that price at Walmart. 💰😊👍🏾💕💕
Dezinefun no you can't and I love it. I am going to try it with a queen sheet and see how long it would be. I like the length of the twin but I think the queen would be even better 🤔🤗
Mrs Michelle wonderful idea, The curtains look very pretty. Thank you for your wonderful ideas. Have a blessing day!!!♡♡♡♡♡
Thanks Sabrina! I hope you're having a great weekend!
Thank you so much!!!! I’m getting these today. 2021 and this video is still a lifesaver 🥰🥰🥰
This will be a lifesaver for me. I need a couple panels for my bathroom to go with my nice curtains I have in there. ThAnk you!

Genius😍 those 9 people need to put their capes on because they're SuperrrrrrrMad 😂😂 how could you not like this !?
Brilliant!!!!! Curtains cost so much this is a definate budget hack. Thanks for sharing
Excellent idea!! We're decorating for fall/winter.. I won't have to change out window hardware.. This is a win win.. And next season, I can do a little embellishment.. I believe I can get three seasons out of these, easy. Then, we'll see about some porch ideas, after that. Thanks so much for sharing. Peace
Wow that is a super smart idea and the curtains look amazing.

I was just thinking about doing this the other day but wasn’t sure how to do it. Thank you for posting this video. Since I live in a trailer, my windows are smaller and I’ll need to cut and hem the bottom.
Dude. You’re a friggin genius
super genius - don't know why i didn't think of this! thanks so much for sharing!
One of the only people I've seen on youtube to hang curtains properly!!!
Properly is the exact way each individual person wants it, likes it, made it. Everyone is there OWN EXPERT! Her ideas are perfect even if only she likes them and enjoys them!! No one cares about your approval! Her ideas are perfect even if she had not done it this way‼️
I've been doing this for years they look great people think I bought regular curtains, they are actually better than some curtains you'd pay $20 for
Thank you, thank you, thank you! I have a bedroom with for Windows. Very expensive to buy curtains for these windows. So for $40 I can do all of them so excited thank you again. They look beautiful
Yesssss ma'am!! You just lowered my blood pressure!! Doing this today! Thanks
OMG (that seems to be most people's reaction, LOL) ---thank you; I've been shopping online and not finding anything reasonably priced!!! this is GREAT!!!!!!!!! SUPER video!!!!!!!!!!!!

You are very welcome! 🤗
Just found your channel. Hello from Australia 🇦🇺 what a great idea and I love how you’ve styled your Home. Thanks for the top tip. I’ll be getting mine from KMart or Target though because we don’t have Walmart yet. 😊
OH MY GOSH!!!! My windows are high and longer curtains are expensive! I am certainly gonna give this a try!!!
Luv yah 🥰🥰🥰was about to purchase some expensive curtains until I came across this thx so much
Glad I could help
This is... brilliant. This saved me hundreds of euros. Found another video on how to shorten curtains, so you can cut them on the bottom and just sew a double hem of 5 cm x 2 = 10 cm. You can also use fabric glue to make hems but I find it stains. One thing though, most sheets are too big. But I don't mind having leftovers on the sides. It's better than cutting them in the width, or I have to clean up that long edge with my sewing machine too. I had this one big window of 225 cm wide so I used two sheets of 150 wide (the smallest width I could find)0 Now I have 3 windows of 120 cm wide so I'm gonna buy 3 sheets of 150 cm wide so I will have leftover on each side when the curtains are open but I don't mind.
Use iron on hemming tape. It’s usually under $5 and means no sewing needed!
Yesssssss! I do this often! Wonderful for pipe & drapes for the length! Awesome!
I just found this tip. Thank you so much. So simple and ingenious and just what I need. Thanks!
Very nice! Great idea. Curtains have gotta outta control price wise... Thanks for sharing!
This is BRILLIANT !!! I Love you !! thanks for such a great tip - never even thought of using sheets
Beautiful ! Thank you always needing a cheap easy beautiful upgrade
...and so easy to wash instead of heavy curtains 👌🏽
Practical, cheap, looks great 👍🏼 👏🏼👏🏼
Omg that's ingenious!!!! Love your DIY videos❤️
Sweet d.i.y. Curtains are pretty expensive per panel. Love this. You rock!🎉 Tfs sweetie. Hugs-Kristina🤗
+Kristina-Leigh Ghigliotti Thanks My friend! 😉💕💕 xoxo Michelle
Gads...your home is lovely....thanks for the tips!
Thanks for this diy amazing idea if your on a budget!
I love this idea! Thanks a million for the idea! My rooms looks for sophisticated with these!
This is a good idea 💡 for we're in a recession right now 👍. I'm going to try to use as a shower curtain to.
Love this! You can make so many things with sheets. I have been making some summer dresses and love them. Your home is beautiful!
+LINDA Veres hi Linda, I didn't think of making dresses from Sheets but I can definitely see how it can be done! Thanks for the idea. 😉💕 xoxo Michelle
I wore one yesterday to see my dad who is in the Veterans Home in Salisbury NC and you would have thought I just stepped out of Saxs Fifth Ave. So funny! With only one sheet you can make several items. Tops are very cool. My husband was amazed! He bought me a new sewing machine .LOL! Wash and dry it first to get the shrinkage out.
Good for shower curtains to when you can't find the style you want. Tablecloths and napkins also. So many choices. Take care! Love your videos!
thanks, finally somebody that gets it right.
Thank you i just moved and im watching videos on how to DIY stuff to decorate my house..Thank you...
Great idea. We got this idea growing up from my childhood
Thank you 😊 I was thinking I'd have to measure to the standard length of 84" and then hem, etc. etc. Your way is best!
Gorgeous and so simple!!
Chilllee, let me try this!! This is a GREAT IDEA!! Tfs love💝💝
I've done that also. I iron when necessary. But what I usually do when I get curtians or tablecloths that are new. I placed them in the dryer for a few minutes. That will knock the wrinkles out and I will immediately hang the curtains or place the tablecloth on the table. Thanks for sharing.
+ansbach74 That's a great idea! I should have tried that also. Would have been much easier than using the fabric steamer. Awesome idea!
Just another tip. If you don’t want to iron or get a steamer you can toss them in a dryer with a wet/moist dish towel and it will pull out all the wrinkles. Just hang them up once it is done in there.
Wow! Inexpensive & elegant!
I ABSOLUTELY love this idea!!! thank you for sharing!!!
Way cool!! Exactly what I am looking for to do in my rental.
Absolutely awesome idea!!!
This is great! Thank you for sharing I’m going to do this in my girls room! ❤️
