In my opinion all Planet Ocean watches are just awesome. I bought the 1st gen. three hand PO 41mm in black and later handed it over to my father when I was after the 1st. gen. PO chronograph in orange which I just have on my wrist and absolutely love. Added an orange Nato strap last week to give it some freshness. The only thing I don't really like at the newer models is the ZrO2 imprint on the dials.

Omega’s movement frequency and sub-second marker MISMATCH is FRAUD. They use 6 and 8 Vibr/Second movements combined with 1/5th sec markers on the dial. The chronograph hand misses all sub-second markers on all of these speedmasters, cannot be stoppoed on any of these markers, for almost 60 years, and no one talks about it. DESIGN FRAUD for profit.

That Omega Planet ocean 9000 series co axial movement is one hell of a great watch. As for Rolex, they are overrated, overpriced hyped watches. The Omega 9000 series co axial is a better movement than any of the Rolex movements on the market.

I own them all including the DSSD JC. I dive with my watches and can easily say the new POC is THE best technical dive watch. The fact that I can push the Chrono buttons under water is next level. I now find my self timing multiple items on a dive like my equipment, motor run time while I am timing my underwater dive with the bezel. I do this so much that any of my other dive watches feel very limited. Build quality of the Omega is top shelf and easily matches or surpasses my Rolex. My POC is more comfortable on the wrist than my DSSD JC because it spreads its weight out better over a larger area on the case back. FYI and has a display case back with 600th WR. Amazing achievement.

I wish it were wearable for my 6.5 inch wrist. I have been eyeing it since the first version came out years ago, hoping at some time it ill get smaller, but I don't think it ever will. I did buy the previous version of the seamaster professional coaxial chronograph (the new one is too large for me as well) and I love it, but it is no planet ocean, though.

Rolex is a fairly decent way to draw views for a channel, but a terrible way to keep them. The longer term sustainability of drivelling on about the same old Rolexs is just boring. There has to be some variety. Patek is not my cup of tea. It's hardly any watch for a wheelbarrow full of $100 bills. Fine for someone. That someone isn't me.

I think Omega quality has improved. You can find deals on used models as many are mass-produced. Go back a couple generations there are bargains to be had. Most are too big and chunky for me but have to give credit when it is due as far as quality. Grey market has many models for less than you would get from an Omega AD. Rolex on the grey market is usually above retail. I have seen too many videos of no watches to be had from Rolex. I used to have some but sold off in the early 2000s but those days you could walk in and buy what you wanted with a 10 to 20 percent discount and were treated very well. John P has a nice video on his experience recently and no customer service and no watches at a Rolex Ad and went to a different store and was treated very well. Grand Seiko I think.

My first serious watch is the Casino Royale Planet Ocean 2500C 45.5 on bracelet. Bought it at the Omega boutique in 2005 for a mere 1,550 British pounds, with the original croc strap and deployant thrown in for free. That was 2005. I then added the original rubber strap, 80 euros at the OB. Today it's valued at 2,500 Pounds / 2,800 Euros.
Last year I bought my second Omega, a Speedy Racing co-ax Master Chronometer 44.25 with all the bells and whistles. Same 9900 movement as the PO Chrono. My most accurate watch, about +1.5 s/d on average. Very cool chrono with column wheel, vertical clutch, 60 hours power reserve. Great deals to be had at 30% off from grey. Amazing value, feels premium.

One of the best watches out there. I scuba dive but use my dive computers instead. Out of the water I wear it and get “Cred” from other divers.
A Rolex sub is not what a diver wears. If you wear a Rolex on a dive boat no one will want to be your dive buddy.
If you want to see what watches professional divers use see the film “last breath”. All divers and support team are wearing Omegas. And they are all sorts of models and not product placement.

The best deals on Rolex at the moment are vintage subs and GMTs as well as the Sea-Dweller 43 and TT GMT Ceramic on oyster bracelet. For under 15k, you can have any of them and your money is safe.

I really think Rolex is on the decline, I myself have a Planet Ocean and I just bought a Tudor Black Bay Bronze yesterday, only old grandpa's want / wear Daytona's. The Milgauss is really the best offering from Rolex IMO. If the new Bond movie ever sets a release date it's only going to further Omega's current momentum.

The chronograph pushers of the PO Chronograph are allowed to be pushed underwater. Not only this latest version but also the former models. These pushers don't have to be unscrewed before being pushed. That would be different if you couldn't use them underwater, to prevent accidentially pushing them.

I personally think Omega are such a better watch than the 'messiah' Rolex. Just look at the styling and attention that goes into the planet ocean chronograph, not to mention that amazing co-axial movement. I do have the exact master chronograph myself and it is definitly the 'lambourgini' in the watch game. I was after a submariner until i saw this 45.5mm monster of a watch. How manly can you get.? Ive seen women wearing submariners but i dont think i will ever see one wearing a planet ocean master chtonograph. Nothing has more presence on your wrist than one of these 'badboys'. And when you take it off just look at thay masterpeice inside. Omega are certainly showing off just what they can do with this timepeice and at a reasonable price too, not to mention the availability. Rolex are purposely making their products hard to get hold of in order to hype the brand name. Shame on you Rolex, if only the general public would go for other high end brands and turn away from Rolex, maybe then they would try to please their clientelle..!!!
