    Can you please make a detailed video on boards you're using a how to connect all the wires. I currently have a cab with a PC and for the same reasons as you, i would rather set it up with a modern console. Having not worry if the controlls work with the rom I select to play is a huge relief.

      @@arcadecraft3923 I have a concept in the works right now for adding 3D Analog sticks that will just screw in much like buttons do. That should help with games that require analog sticks.

    Just wonder would be beneficial to use Analog stick like (ultrastick 360) ? Like to build cabin for consoles but with analog sticks 😉

    • @arcadecraft3923

      Could be. Personally, I only like to use "arcade-like" games that don't require another joystick on my cabinets. If you wanted to do something fully compatible, I suppose you'd have to do something like that.

      Here's a method I know of only because I own one. I recently got a Titan 1 device. Already had a Mame Cabinet. Titan 1 is a cool device. Usually these types of devices you stick the USB controller inside the device. But I discovered you can use any controller that's already plugged in the PC itself. Titan 1 detects any gamepad circuit board if the program cord is inserted in the PC . (not the Titan 1 itself ) Anyway the feature that lets you detect any gamepad already plugged in the PC is called (Max Aim DI). My arcade runs on a IPAC. It can change between keyboard, dinput, and xinput. So I decided to put my arcade panel into dinput mode and the Titan 1 detected it. From the Max Aim DI area I could transform the IPAC to any other game system. Nintendo switch, PS4, PS5, Xbox series S, Xbox one, and, Xbox 360. Since my arcade only runs one IPAC encoder. Therefore only one side will work if it was connected to an actual game system. If I had 2 arcade encoders and 2 Titan 1 devices. Then I'm able to run 2 players on actual game console. But the 2 player method would be set up differently because max Aim di program only allows one controller to be used. Instead of using "Max Aim DI" for the Titan 1. I would have to use the other feature called "xmapper" I would have to program the 2 dongles 1 by 1 separately so they can run on themselves without the need of a PC. Yes Titan 1 works 2 ways. You have program mode that's "xmapper" / And passthrough mode, leaving the PC on at all times to use "max Aim Di". Remember.....max Aim di is for any controller plugged in your PC and only runs one controller. Xmapper is to actually program the device and don't need the PC later. Max Aim DI is actually meant for mouse and keyboard to be used on game consoles but any gamepad already plugged in your PC will translate to actual game system inputs with the USB passthrough cord that comes with the Titan 1. So if you do method 2 using Xmapper with 2 dongles. The dongles would go directly inside the game console, and the 2 arcade USB would go in as well after both units are programmed. The passthrough method for 1 player only. You stick the Titan 1 dongle inside the game console and leave the program cord inside the PC with Max Aim DI running. Look on TH-cam, how to play Nintendo switch remotely. This will show you the passthrough method using Max Aim DI. You don't actually need to buy a Titan 1 if don't want to. There's other devices out there like magic ns adapter or brooks adapters. I would go for the Titan 1 because anything runs with it if you're willing to leave the PC running at all times for the passthrough method.

      Here's a visual but instead of using 2 Titan 1 he used 2 Brooks adapters. This is what you would do after you programmed 2 Titan 1 devices. th-cam.com/video/a1-h0bgmR8w/w-d-xo.html

    I can’t imagine you playing final fantasy dragon quest resident evil those games are meant to be played on controllers these consoles are not to play arcade old school games like the NES was that only had 2 buttons or Super Nintendo that had 6 buttons

    • @arcadecraft3923
      @arcadecraft3923  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Yeah I didn't create this for that reason. Those games are better on the couch with a controller. I wanted a way to have an arcade experience with modern games that I already owned that were conducive to a joystick configuration. They consist mostly of fighting games and platformers. There is more than one way to achieve this of course, but this was the best way for me to get there.

    If your frontend isn't able to directly access BOTH the Xbox and PlayStation at the SAME TIME, it's not even worth it. it's like throwing a gameboy in an empty part of a computer case with a video out to the monitors secondary input... you can certainly do it easily enough and nobody is going to stop you... but WHY even bother?
    Install HyperSpin/Launchbox and pair either one with RocketLauncher. Write, program, and have it call and execute custom scripts/macros and output signals to the consoles as their respective controllers being emulated to control them. Make it send an AHK script that controls the video input to either the monitor or the video in. Then have those macros and scripts paired as command lines to the different game entries in HyperSpin so when you select a PlayStation game it automatically switches/routes everything for you, and vice versa with xbox.
    Now THAT would be a project to justify this... rather than just sticking three devices in one larger device and manually switching inputs/using different controllers and having different frontend menus...

      I can flip UI's with one button press so I don't consider that difficult or not worth it given the fact I own so many titles for both systems.

      @ArcadeCraft great job... I'm about to do the same build especially since I have the ps5 and Xbox x now. I will put my ps4. Xbox one and switch in one arcade but I'm not sure how you switch between each console within and out like the brooks board requires. Can you share how you achieved that?

    • @arcadecraft3923
      @arcadecraft3923  ปีที่แล้ว

      @@anthonysmith3352 Hey Thanks! I use a USB switch on the output of the Brook UFB. That switch has a remote button that switches between two different output USB cables. The Brook UFB decodes the Xbox, PS4 and Switch so it's just a matter of changing the output route with the USB switcher box.
