A few years ago, I was advised by a naturopath to eat 6 times a day, which they used to call grazing. I don't know what the current term for it is. Horrible idea for many reasons including spiking my blood sugar over and over. It's an outdated idea based on comparing us to cows. Now I eat 2-3 times a day, and I can tell by how calm I feel that my blood sugar isn't spiking.
Hi Bob. You're absolutely correct that there is a LOT of bad information being spread by "nutritionists." I didn't start losing weight until I found the ketovore/carnivore community.😂 Now I'm down about 90 lbs. That happened when I ditched fruit and many of the vegetables.
Hi Bob, just wanted to give you a quick update. First week with my Bariatric Rollator. Monday to Saturday I was out in my back yard (Concrete Jungle) starting my journey. Wednesday I could not make it up the stairs to get outside. My legs were too weak to bring the Rollator out. All in all I walked 2476 steps. I may have taken breaks each day between my laps around my back yard but I did my best to push myself a little more each day. The next walking challenge you have I will be ready to participate. I am also taking in a lot of beautiful sun, it is nice to have a little mobility freedom now. I have a long way to go but every day I will work on being 1% better.
Hello Curb, I also have a rolling type “Walker” my biggest problem is that as I walk I lean on it and it hurts my shoulders! Do you have that problem?😊
@@charlestait5303 hi Charles, I am dealing with that issue also. I am going to start some strength training with light weights and the rubber bands. My shoulders are kinda shot from working all my life but I think the pain is also from being so physically dormant for the last 4 1/2 years. There are many good physical therapy videos on TH-cam for strengthening your shoulders and arms. Also, if you have and more adjustments on your walker, try raising the handles a little higher. Core training your mid section will also help with keeping you upright and better posture. I’m just starting from a point of not being able to walk or stand since 2020. 1 day at a time, that’s all we can do
@curbsplitter2338 Hi curbsplitter. Congratulations on starting to walk. Taking that first "step" towards better health is the most important one. I started ketovore/carnivore 2.5 years ago and have lost about 90lbs. I'm a very short, disabled woman in my 60's, so losing weight was soooo daunting. . My advice is to get a little notebook and record your progress. If you walk to the mailbox today write today's date and that you walked to the mailbox. If two weeks from now you can walk 10 feet beyond the mailbox and back, write that down, and so on. Whenever you are struggling or having a crappy day, look back to day one in your notebook to remind yourself of your progress. You will find comfort on seeing your progress over time written on a page. Best wishes to you!🧡🙏🙌🧡
Do the dirt work first. Make sure your building site is at least one to two feet higher than the surrounding area. Drainage, drainage, drainage. Haul in some fill if needed to raise the building site.
Not sure of where I heard it but I heard the A1c could go up because the red blood cells „live“ longer and are thus exposed longer to glucose in the blood.
Hi 👋 Bob , way to go!!! I’m 66 and my husband is 68 and I just had my one year Carniversary on August 30th and My husband has his on October 10th. I feel so much better . I stopped statins too. I’ve noticed a lot of little improvements here snd there. 👏👏👏💪🥩🧈🥚🥓✝️🙏❤️
Hi, Bob. Whatever it is, if it's improving your physical and mental health, your energy, and your strength, just keep doing it. Nutz to the naysayers.
Hi Bob, keep on walking. It is said to be good brain exercise too.

I haven't been here in awhile, but boy, big positive difference in your walking, talking, etc !
I hope you have all the energy you need to get ready for your road trip and some to get started on the Texas stuff once you get there.
Have a good day Bob.
Hi Bob thanks for sharing ❤
Glad you have the opportunity to improve your health span 🙏🏼💪🏼💌

Should have listened longer before posting 😂
