As people probably know, the one fragmentary theme of this Jerry Goldsmith TZ score was put to hilarious use as the 3D theme for SCTV's Dr.Tongue 0:122:08. I wonder if Goldsmith himself was aware of his music being used on SCTV. Love the rest of this score. It's a stark, weird chamber work.
Yes, the CBS promotion department used some of the cues [and one from "A Hundred Yards Over the Rim"] for the "coming soon" promo {utilizing footage from the original pilot episode} seen in the late summer of 1965.

Jerry Goldsmith's music is superb. I think his music alone elevated this particular episode from fair to great. Hear for yourself & see.
