The new 6.7 Powerstroke is very reliable. All trucks have their Achilles heel though and fords can be the emissions bs and dodges have their transmission. Still would recommend the Cummins though because there is a reason they don’t make a new engine every few years.

Use archoil. I use it in my 08 6.4. Went from 12mpg to 16.4mpg currently. Truck runs a lot smoother. 6.4L need to have oil changed every 5000 miles, filters changed regularly and fuel water separator drained.

There are simply two classes of owners who own these trucks.
Those who maintain them impeccably, and those who can't afford them so you get results like that above.
Only thing missing is Red Farm Diesel out of a field pump tank that has been sitting around for 5 years, and some dipshit stealing it to run his truck.

What I love about these(any)new vehicle is that they're all self explanatory. No number crunching necessary. An obvious total rip-off. The consumer knows exactly what he/she needs and these trucks can't do it. You're basically buying something twice. The demands you have for the rig, will kill it prematurely for the price paid. And you fix it, and buy it again. They're just big toys, like an ornament, clean it up, park it and brag about what it can do, but don't really do it, or not for your livelihood. Just brag or work it three or four times a year that's it. (for God sake don't put miles on it!) You should be good. Try calling it out on it's name though, Super Duty, Heavy Duty etc. (Laughing) Stack all your tall profits in the engine/transmission savings , electrical, emissions, suspension etc savings account. Go ahead, buy one of these rigs. It'll be the best time to sit down with your family and say, "you don't have to go to college to be successful."

200,000 miles and it’s worn out? I’ll keep my old 7.3. 200k and she’s just broken in!!!

I'd put on a trac bar and fix the cable and run it.

I know right?!! No doubt he knows his stuff...been watching his videos for the past couple years, but the way he's rambling on about all these comparatively minor issues( replacing rubber bushings, cleaning corrosion on battery terminals and associated area, leaking steering gearbox,) that are actually fairly cheap and easy to fix especially if you're mechanically inclined. He's saying the truck which doesn't even have quite 200,000 miles on it is essentially no longer cost-effective to repair and needs to be condemned. As a heavy mobile equipment mechanic with a degree in diesel technology, I just don't see it the same way.

How much y'all charge to rebuild/renew a 2005 6.0, F250? What is included in that price. Thank you.

I bought my truck with 11 miles on it, now 377k 1999 F250 late model. I'm not trading it in yet.

6.4 trucks would be perfect Cummins swap trucks or DT466 swap trucks!

Perfect truck for a guy to swap that knows what they are doing. If i knew what i was doing i would swap a 7.3 with a ZF6 in it. Get all the modernish amenities with old reliability
