How beautiful you took this video with your Grandma baking and your Grandpa making his comical comments. I love it. We make the same cookies and call them kurabia and unfortunately I have no videos of my parents baking or cooking for my children or my grandchildren as they were funny and wonderful characters also. God Bless You All.
I enjoyed this soooo much, thank you! I'm actually looking for the keto version of these cookies and came across your video. Years, and years ago I married into a Macedonian family, and this video brought me back to his grandmother, and watching her bake. Thanks soooo much was so entertaining! They're adorable! :)
Yasou ~ We made these many years ago. We used Anise Extract and grated Lemon Peel ~ no liquor or almonds. We made them in the shape of a ball. I think our recipe came from Northern Greece - Thessaloniki. Nice video - Thanx for Sharing ~
What did she spoon into the middle of the dough before folding it up to form the cookie, just prior to her putting it on the cookie tray? Maybe chopped nuts??? She did not mention it in the recipe.....? Do you know?
@@thatFINA : I was watching and crying, so touched from all the atmosphere, from you as a wonderful niece and especially when I saw your grandpa taking a nap, just like my dad does, please give them a hug. ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
I love these cookies. I made a lot of them in December. I think that the recipe that my yiayia used included rosewater. There was just one single clove in each cookie, too.
PS, your Grandpa's comment on size and distance matters did not go un noticed on me. My dad's philosophy was more sugar, more better, more fat on food, more better for him, not us. I have laughed so much it hurts. Enjoy them while you can.
What is it that she spoons into the piece of dough before folding it to form the cookie just prior to her putting it on the cookie sheet? Your description in the recipe box does not mention what it is that she's spooning into that piece of dough.....?

Those are butter cookies, can add crushed toasted almonds, all middle eastern countries including Turkey, Armenian and some of those Pappou mentioned.
Land O Lakes is the good butter 😉
Keri Gold also good Irish Butter.
I believe she meant unsalted butter
Are you greek serafina?
1000 cookies 😂 was that enough ? ....
