Try this on for size. I’m one of the many who don’t have a power bill because I don’t have a home. Too much to buy. Too much to rent. I knew this was coming. I’m fine.

Car surfing, couch surfing and caravan park bungalow as an in between treat , when you can.
That's usually how it goes .
I set up a shelter , hidden in the dunes scrub (and my younger sister went OFF at me when she found out , she lost it ).
But I reckon she was jealous because I was living like Storm Boy in a coastal humpy .
      🤣

Every sector of the economy is dominated by foreign private equity corporations most of which pay minimal or no tax and repatriate their massive profits out of Australia. Governments both Labor and Liberal have enabled this transformation through privatisation, outsourcing and lax corporate laws. The cost of living is now almost entirely in the hands of people who do not live in Australia. We are very much a colony like never before.

Power bill is the least of my worry ,,, rent increases are killing me and thousands of others , gonna be sleeping in my car shortly by the way things are going , and lets give GG another 200k payrise next week for doing nothing and the rest of the politicians a 10k payrise yearly . Cant believe Australia has gotten this bad ,,, why i bother voting is beyond me ..

    1. Make lobbying illegal, and any form of donation or gifting an offence. As most pollies best interest is serving their donors, not Australians.
    2. Construct nuclear power plants.
    3. Revise the PRRT tax evasion of LNG Exports which only pull in $2b instead of $70b.
    3. Import construction materials and actually build houses than the standard average every year.
    4. Revert the housing capital gains reduction to stop house flipping, it was a lie.
    5. Break up the supermarket monopoly and extortion of our farmers/suppliers.
    6. Then tax rates can be reduced.
But none of this will happen because pollies work for companies so it will just be all talk with 10 year project that go over budget and never happen with the money disappearing. Vote team red or blue doesnt matter. Most pollies are fake, rich and is the reason why we are in this mess. Main reason is corruption.

We have to use camping solar lights in the house at night, no power in the evenings, boil kettle and fill a thermos! Half cook food and then let turn the stove off to let the, in hope the steam will finish cooking the rest! Last year, turned fridge off and put food into the esky to cut the power ! Wtf has happened to Australia ?

It is the export , import equations that are out of whack .
Australia doesn't even make its own cars anymore . They are all imported .
    That's sad . I think . All taken off shore .
All our fuel and gas is all exported which is also , 🤔 needs to be tweaked a bit .
    I reckon.
Certainly, needs to be audited because I think the Australian need to take their blinkers off , and the way to do that is via educating the population about our energy resources , and what's coming and what's going out show them the sums , and then apply the quadratic equation which brings that tidal wave 🌊 back down to more of an even ripple .
As it is all our manufacturing sectors that are suffering because of it .

This IR reform is a distraction. More important things to sort out first. Corporates and Government don't want the real problems to be headline news. Inflation! Inflation impacts to Regional and Cities would best be served by addressing the core root cause of inflation and the regional and city cost of living crisis. This would be a great opportunity to bring front and centre and explain to all Australians, and yes the Regional folk, as to why we don't have a sovereign fund similar to the US for example in Alaska where the people who own the resources, get paid a dividend annually and or it goes into a sovereign regional and national development fund? Need to vote these politician people out that deliberately avoid or stall or delay any reform or transparency on this. Terrible damage being done with our Australian tax payers subsidizing corporates and getting basically a tiny trickle in return if that. Need Coalition both state and federal to first fix the cost of living crisis that deniers like the Labor and Teals parties will not address. Caused by Corporate Profitering driving up our inflation. Start with the energy lobby groups and energy companies and many others taking our gas and other resources alledgegly for free and allegedly not paying royalties or taxes. We the Australian people own these resources. Why do we get tiny trickle feed profits of alledgedly small smoke and mirrors payments to look like we are getting something from some companies? Compared to Qatar for example, we export more natural gas but our royalties and taxes are way way smaller? Why?

How much Australian infrastructure is now owned by private equity investment corporations ? Their operations are based on debt and maximising returns for shareholders. The infrastructure they buy, is used as leverage for loans, It is another Ponzi Scheme. They also do profit shifting to evade paying tax.

The ALP and LNP are the only govts of gas exporters globally not to reserve local gas, including WA who does and enjoys low power costs. Reserve gas and power bills halve or more. We then transition to gas base load and renewables. Cheap and will get us to net zero. Longer term nuclear may play a role, but i assume you want to solve this power debacle before 2040? Take a squizz at US power prices and US emmissions using this exact policy!
