There are clowns from the EU and there are also clowns from UK. Boris Johnson and Keir Starmer are good examples and so are Reese Mogg and Nigel Farage. On the EU side you have Von der Leyen. EU doesn't hold a monopoly on political clowns. EU in itself is not bad just as UK w/o the clowns is a good place.

    1. The supranational state. The EU is working on fiscal union, in advance of economic union, in advance of political unification. This is spelled out in the EU Five Presidents' Report of 2015. It's a done deal. Economic union (one big economy) is in the Lisbon Treaty, signed and agreed by all member states.
    2. Military unification. Again in the Lisbon Treaty.
These have no democratic mandate whatsoever.
    3. To create the federal state, that no-one but the EU wants or has agreed to, the EU has to destroy national allegiances and a normal sense of patriotism. That's what the immigration crisis is for.

This same war on local control really got going in the USA when President Lincoln invaded and devastated the seceding southern states. The states were understood to be independent countries in the Treaty of Paris signed by King George at the end of the War of Independence. The states were understood to have the right to leave the union. The power of the people of each state got sliced away steadily after Lincoln's invasion. Imagine if the EU had had a powerful army and had actually invaded the UK right after the Brexit vote. Text books would have eventually spoken of the EU's war to save the union and there would be great statues of the EU leaders at the time of the invasion.

@@johnl5316 Interesting stuff, thank you. In that circumstance the EU would have forgotten that it is supposed to be the servant of the people, not its masters. Gordon Brown forgot this when he signed the Lisbon Treaty without the required referendum. Basically, as a servant of the people, he had no right to sign away governmental powers, granted to the Labour Party by the people, to another institution, namely the EU, without the permission of the people. That's why Farage and Tory back-benchers were up in arms, and that's why Cameron called the referendum, to shut them up.
No other member state government has realised this yet, despite there being no democratic mandate for a European supranational state. The western European net contributor governments are run by federalists who all think a politically united Europe is a great idea (and not a recipe for disaster likely to lead to wars of independence, like a giant version of Yugoslavia). The net beneficiary governments of eastern Europe are still happy to take the cash of western European taxpayers. It acts like a giant Ponzi scheme, with the EU buying the loyalty of its poorer member states without even having to use its own money! It can also put its member states' armed forces together under its own command (see European Council's Military Command and Control Structures document, 23rd April 2019), whilst pretending it doesn't have its own armed forces and also not having to pay a single penny towards their upkeep!

well its an interesting proposition to create a super state to compete economically with the usa and china and russia. the thing that the euro state lacks is resources and a strong enough industrial manufacturing base. what does that leave? agriculture? technology? i think the only solution for a country with not much in theway of resources is expansion into the solar system. this requires partnership and technology. we have this in europe. its either that or get sucked into never ending conflict and all the negative effects of that which is sort of where we are now. space is the most logical thing to expand into. there are limitless possabilities for growth and for society as a whole it gives us hope for a great future as opposed to no future

The current salvation of the EU cabal is that the majority of European citizens are old-timers that no longer have what it takes to correct the course of politics.

      Yes Office for budget responsibility.
The government's fiscal watchdog and a publicly funded body report. it has always been argued that the mass immigration the country has been subjected to in the past was economically justified has in fact been shown to be an economic disaster
By the age of 81 the low skilled migrants which have come over here in their millions will cost individually each tax payer £465,000. From the moment a low skilled migrant worker sets foot on British soil they are a net drain on the economy and that is without considering their dependants. . Low skilled migrants are the vast bulk of those who have come to this country.
We have been lied to for years being told that we needed the doctors, engineers and scientists , of the 3.6 million visas grant in the last few years 0.8% went to doctors, 0.6% to scientists and engineers, 12% to skilled migrants with only a small proportion of these being highly skilled.
Only 5% of immigrants are net contributors to the economy as high skilled earners in other words (1 in 20 migrants contributing at a high skilled earner).
Last year only 3% of immigrants ended up working for the NHS, and the highly skilled such as doctors is less than 1%

And nobody wants to work anymore is a meme. Nobody ever wanted to work in any period of time, but at least they used to get paid living wage in the past. Now we can't afford anything anymore even with full time job. Housing is unaffordable. They swamp our countries with foreigners to keep real estate prices high and wages low.

Britain is following orders from the WEF to the letter. Yesterday we closed its last surviving coal-fired power station, also its last blast furnace at Port Talbot, all in the name of “Net Zero” climate protection. We have, in a matter of a couple of decades managed to virtually completely de-industrialise our economy, for the benefit of whom? The People’s Republic of China, of course!
They have thousands of coal-fired power stations and they are building more of them. India, for years a very poor country, is also building them because they want to improve the living standards of their people! So much for protecting the climate!
America also has many power stations powered by coal but they also have large reserves of “shale gas” which they happily exploit enabling energy prices to be half that of those in Britain which also has large reserves of shale gas, the difference being fracking has been banned in Britain!

Dorien is bang on. There is no crisis nor "capital crisis". There IS an EU over-regulation problem, and an EU ideology-driven, unreliable and unaffordable energy problem.. driving business and industry out of business. Fix that (get the EU off the economies back) and 'free market' capital will pour back in, and productivity, opportunity and prosperity will follow. That's 'the free maket' works.

There is the problem of one currency but multiple central banks, which doesn't work. Fudged by the Target2 mechanism which has been broken since 2008, cheating Germans out of 1 Trillion Euro, but yet no one talks about that.

I'm afraid it is about economics
Countries will become bankrupt because of this crisis
And I'm sure the rich will be ok as it doesn't affect them
Many young people can't afford a home of their own jobs pay less and the cost of living is to high
My son is 20 and he won't be able to afford a home of his own and will struggle in
    The future
Even through he has qualifications and is extremely bright he is studying computer hardware and software

Look into ‘how money is created’ what has real value what the role of money is. Only than can you understand the crisis that is always inflicted by governments themselves (aided by croocked bankers)

This has been widely known for 40 years, at least. I first heard this at the high school level in the mid 1980’s.

Was the Commission decision - almost 4 years ago - that required each Member State to give an indemnity to Pfizer, Moderna, etc. - in respect of their Covid vaccines - a form of “State-aid” ? Has there been proper transparency in respect of the EU Commission President’s dealings with Pfizer in late 2020/early 2021 ?
