I’ve been trying to figure this out for hours, your guide is the first one that makes any kind of sense, clear, concise, and without any extra BS. Straight and too the point, maybe the best tech tutorial I’ve seen, that’s definitely worth a subscription. Thanks!
i have a noise cancel filter on OBS, when press "hear myself" on discord to test and i clap my hands it plays but on obs the audio mixer thing doesnt move?? so it just uses the audioi of my microphone without any filters
having a small problem- i had this downloaded and installed already- and everything was working perfectly fine for abit- but about a month later it just stopped workin- I've refollowed ur tutorial a few times to see if something got disconnected but everything was linked like before- I'm confused why its no longer working when everything is still set up the same- help?
followed your instructions here and on another video (same instructions) only issue is when I set discords input to the VB Output, it doesnt pick up my voice whatsoever. no idea why.
Thanks man! One question. Lets say im on Discord with friends and streaming on Twitch and for some moments I decide to mute myself on stream but not on Discord. How can I do that? Because if I mute the Mic/Aux on OBS that is going to mute my Discord mic as well. Thanks for the video!
I haven't tried this configuration with Twitch. You'll have to experiment a little with it. A lot of people usually use VOICEMEETER BANANA for this stuff but I'm not up to date with the process these days.
Can someone help me? I’m trying to do this but for some reason when I click install driver is says Access denied to registry. When I click okay it try’s to open a webpage but then nothing happens and says I can’t reach the page. Is something genuinely wrong or does my computer not support it?
dude i dont know what is wrong with this software but everytime i use the vb virtual audio cable after like 1 day of using it, all the audio that comes through it is just super static-y for no reason! how do i fix this or make it stop happening because its so annoying. I know its not the microphone thats doing this, its the software that makes everything come through it have a bunch of static
It works for anything that allows you to choose which input source you want to use (most things). And yes you will need to keep OBS open as it does all the processing. Sadly there's no other way around it.
I wont get this to work. Used two different computers and have the same problem on both. Sound is incoming to obs. But does not appear in Discord. Someone else with the same problem?
@rk0wnzUu late reply, sorry, but nah, it's weird for me. Sometimes it works. Sometimes it doesn't. I did change the latency at some point but I haven't in a while

Thanks! I really appreciate you taking the time to drop that comment!
I try to keep things as simple as possible! Cheers for the sub!
beast. Thanks for the video !
No problem 👍

It's probably something in Windows that has changed. Hunt around in Windows Sound settings and see if anything is missing it up.
So you have to have monitor On and Obs running so Discord can Pic up the mic right? would you always be hearing yourself then?

Did you figure it out? I haven't seen this issue yet.
I have the same issue
Go to sound settings in Windows and set VB cable as input I think
Thanks man I got it set up
No problem 👍
when i tried to change the mic on monitoring i couldnt find any inputs only outputs
the problem is screen 1 share they can hear my mic in the screen any idea how to solve it i searched but no one knows :(
Thank you very much for the tutorial
You're most welcome :)
For the filters to apply in discord and games, do I need to keep OBS running at all times, even when I don't want to record/stream?
Yes i mention that in the video.
@@Downloadsourcenet Thank you!
@@Downloadsourcenet Thank you!

I dont have the mic/aux what can i do to access it?

Do you have admin rights on your computer?

I have no idea unfortunately as I've never had any problems like this before. It's been nothing but smooth sailing for me.
Will this work in games? like Fortnite. And do you need to have obs open whilst playing for the filters to work?
It works for anything that allows you to choose which input source you want to use (most things).

i just tried this today and when i tested the audio on discord i sounded like a robot. do you know what that is??
That's pretty weird. I've tried it on a few different machines and never had any issues. Perhaps a rogue filter?
Go to sounds then recording and then go to mic and vb cable output properties then advanced and make sure both of their formats are the same
@@Darko22602 in which app?
Did everything and it doesnt work...

Strange! I've tried this on a few computers as well without any issues.
Did u solve ? I choose virtual cable in discord but no voice
I've tried this, but I've been running into the problem where the VB output in Discord won't detect my mic. Any idea why it wont work?
I haven't seen this issue, it pretty much instantly finds it. I would check in Windows Settings and see if it is all listed correctly there as well.

doesn't work, i followed every single step. I can't hear myself in OBS and discord finds the output but doesn't make any noise/sound
if i put it monitor and output i'll be hearing myself, i don't want that
You won't be hearing yourself. If you set it up correctly.

No problem :)
I did this and once I use it on discord, It just goes choppy
What kind of PC do you have? I haven't had any issues but it does increase system resource usage so that might be the cause.
any idea why it has a delay?
There's a lot going so it's kind of unavoidable.
@@Downloadsourcenethow does anyone speak with that delay. It's impossible to form a sentence
Fuuuck I installed the cable thing, restarted the PC and now I have no sound... how can I hear the rest of the instructions lol....
Weird!
same as me LMAO can't hear sound on my laptop had to fix it in setting back to default
it dosent work for me discord just dont detect nothing
You must have configured something wrong.
I cant hear anything from my main monitor
Make sure you have the audio devices selected correctly.
@ thanks for the tips i was able to fix it🫡
I had to factory reset my computer and redo this entire thing again but now it isnt working anymore I dont see the audio input capture
im not getting any noise to mic aux or the audio input capture
Am i the only one that though the voice is delayed abit too much when using this method?
i got this problem too, but i have no clue how to fix it
no audio on pc now
Check your audi configs. They probably changed with the introduction of a new device.
