- My Lextek exhaust system fitted to my GSX8S. Only 300 miles on it so I didn’t rev it over 4.5k. Great value exhaust system, perfect fit, fuelling seems ok but will remap once the engine is run in.
Silencer is their ST1 silencer.
Installation is easy, remove front fairing, loosen radiator (no need to remove), remove 4 header bolts, remove 2 other bolts for the exhaust system, remove O2 sensor.

In the States, a full exhaust (Akra or M4) with airbox mod, filter, and velocity stacks yields a whopping 10 hp and 10 ft-lb gains.

Although this bike has less power than the hornet but this bike sounds better and looks better!
Tuned, it has more power.
i tested both and the Suzuki felt nicer to ride, smoother throttle more stable feeling.
Are the headers Lextek also? I see you have the sensor fitted to them and when I look at their website they don't show this in the pictures or is that more a generic picture?
Yes 02 sensor was fitted.
Came across this looking for an Exhaust for my 8s, this sound really nice without being obnoxious 👌🏼.
Can you tell me did it throw up any engine management warnings/lights and does the downpipe take the OEM O2 sensor?
Also does it run smoothly any noticeable rough spots in the rpm range without a map?

Hi, it is a great quality exhaust, the shorter cans really do get a bit loud though. Bike runs fine, still achieving good mpg so the fuelling js massively off, no error codes, no flat spots. I am getting it remapped on a dyno in 2 weeks time so if i remember i'll let you know how it performs.

@@Vard_1 no modifications required mate, any 51mm exhaust will fit this, i bought the headers from ebay and the can from marketplace as i like the style of the one i have but its discontinued now. I am also in the process of modifying a GSXS1000 exhaust hanger as i dont like the look of the standard peg/hanger
