I have watched about 50 videos regarding this pistol and this is by far the best. It's non-biased, packed full of information and explains clearly why the army chose this pistol. I just bought mine yesterday,I can't wait to take it to the range.
In the 70s I carried a 1911 a lot while guarding the nukes on our ship. I always thought of military sidearms as big rugged guns made of steel with hammers. I'm getting old I guess.
Mike Campbell I know what you mean a solid good metal heavy gun just seems right. Get this though. Glock did a durability demonstration for the Coast Guard a few years back. In one demonstration they dropped a Glock 19 a hundred feet from a helicopter that bounced around on the ground, got scuffed up a little. They picked it up and it fired perfectly. Kind of shocking
Mike Campbell Technology evolves, a 1911 may be beautiful and badass, you have to admit, compared to today's handguns, it is cumbersome to field strip and it's a bit on the hefty side, plus if the hammer is obstructed, which isn't common but possible on a battlefield, it can lead to a malfunction. When going for your pistol in modern times, speed is key. As a backup, when a soldier, marine, etc. runs his rifle empty in the middle of combat, he has to draw his pistol, line up a shot at his target, gun him down as soon as possible, and move on to the next one just as quick because a lot of times, there's another hostile to take out. You also have ammo capacity to consider, it usually takes about three or four shots to the chest or one to the head to kill a man, it's better to have more ammo when taking on multiple targets. The sidearm may be more rarely used in battle than the rifle of course, but running out of ammo can happen, and the soldier has to be able to defend himself, these factors have to be considered and he needs the most effective weapon to use in case of such an event.
Mike Campbell Thank you for your service! It must've been "interesting" to be guarding something capable of destroying a city, and something that caused a lot of fear during the Cold War.
Rocky Elorde bullshit! i would just to have history! at 200$? no brainer! hell i think id buy it just cause of die hard movies at that price! lol! love this sig320 tho, makes me envious with my glocks!
You are ignorant about the issue, which occurred many years ago, a few injuries, had to do with overly high pressure ammo and not the gun. Nevertheless, you are citing a present NON-ISSUE so just keep your big mouth closed. The U.S. Gov't paid for the slide modifications and I would not hesitate to shoot even an F model, nevermind FS, with standard pressure or +p. You need to get educated and stop spreading FUD about a great firearm.
brentfoto Unfortunately these modifications make this aluminum pistol almost as heavy as an all steel cz75b which defeats the purpose of using alluminum.
I bought the 320-C in 9 mm and immediately got the exchange kit for 40 and 357. Changing out the fire control group is very simple and quick. I changed from 9 mm to 40 in in less than a minute on my first try. 40 to 357 is seconds. I got 4 extra mags for 357/40 so I can have one in the gun and one in my mag pouch for all three calibers or 4 for 40 or 4 for 357 and 2 for 9 mm. Lots of flexibility to meet whatever conditions you may need to face. Oh yeah, so very easy to clean. Sig knocked this one out the park and the Army made a good move.
Unless your in state or country with strict gun laws the whole 'modular' thing is a joke. Price to convert, per Sig website : $407. I paid $380 for my used like new p320 when they first came out. The cost of the conversion kits keeps rising! I rather just buy another gun.
Nice thing about the p320 and p365 is you can change the size of the firearm dramatically & quickly to suit your day to day needs. Got a normal, xl, and xmacro grip for the 365xl. If it's a super hot day, I carry the normal so I don't print. Wearing a flannel or heavier shirt? Can carry the XL grip, which gives me a better grip on the pistol and more rounds. Cold and wearing a jacket? I can put the macro grip on, get 17 round capacity, and turn very small feeling pistol into a skinny yet full sized feeling firearm. Only have to buy grips and mags, which I could buy 2 mags each and both grips for less than $400, and I basically have 3 different carry guns.
I didn’t buy an exchange kit, I just swapped out the barrels from 40 cal to 9mm , bought it directly on SIG Website. It works just fine. It was cheaper that way... great video
bought this gun when it first came out. I own a springfield and a M&P handgun as well. The 320 is BY FAR my favorite handgun. Incredibly accurate, easy to take apart, modular, and a fun gun to shoot. I'd recommend it to anyone. Was on the fence when I was buying this gun and almost bought a glock instead.
now we're going to see how these hold up with the modular frame when the get thrown in tac boxes and beat to death in an arms room and with use of regular soldiers (not operators) I love Sig can't wait to see the long term results, awesome channel sootch keep em' coming
Spectre ya with larger orders the manufacturers sell them for less. The recipient goes hey bring it down to 60 and well buy 1mil. Instead of hey lets get a order for 250,000 for 180 a pop.
Spectre Yea, you'd be surprised at how low some guns are for the Army due to how many of them are bought. I've seen M14s around $200 and M249s around $600
The 320 looks very nice and with so many positive comments, it perked my interest, especially with the modularity. I compared it (compact version) with my EDC G19G4. The 320 is about the same length with the same capacity, but its wider, heavier, taller and has a higher bore bore axis. If you will negotiate with your local FFL they can get you some really good prices on Glocks that they can't advertise . The x-change kits are basically the price of another gun so its a no go. I appreciate your very informative video as usual. You still have me wanting to go rent one to shoot, and that might change my mind, but so far, the G19 appears to be a more sleek upgrade to the SIG.
The slide cracks was not due to metallurgy, though, as first believed. Was proven that it was due to the testing team using non-approved, too high pressure rounds.
LOL, the payback for P226. But frankly, I'd say M9 is more sexier looking than this P320. P320 is a bit ugly and blocky. I'd choose M9 over P320, of course if I'm allowed to choose another gun, I'd go with Sig P210.
The Beretta is a sweet shooting gun, the one the military have are just wore out... i have yet to shoot a 320 ,but depending on the trigger the 320 may not be as easy to shoot, having the option i would buy a brand new 92fs and carry it in place of the m9 service pistol
Hadn't seen anyone actually pull out that chassis until now, great way of doing it all things considered; hope to see something similar out of other manufacturers in the future.
Modular systems make a lot of sense for the military or police, but I have no idea why normal people care about the 320's modularity. The frame/barrel/slide combo costs about as much as a full new gun. I'd rather have 2 complete guns.
Pepsiaddicto I live in NJ just took me 9 months for a pistol permit and I'm going to purchase a P320. If I can purchase one handgun that can convert size and caliber with out the headache of paper work and permits huge selling point for me
I served in the regular army and the reserves from '84 to "06. NEvER fired a service pistiol.. I remember the seeing the 1SGTs 1911 that were worn out and the bluieing was mostly gone.
John Ganshow It has a slightly better trigger, what else? Not much. Keep chasing this unicorn of the perfect pistol. the apex in small arms has already been reached. Let me know when they make a plasma rifle in 40 watt range, until then, meh.
Yeah, they are all fairly similar, comes down to trigger, fit and feel, otherwise no huge differences. They will all save your life if you do your part...
Regardless of which side of the isle your on, I respect the Army's decision here. As I custom build my own Glock 22, I understand the need to build on the fly and the P320 provides that. One love.
I own the 19x and absolutely love shooting it. I also own both the P320 compact and the RX full size. I will forever love Glocks but I have to confess that I really like shooting the 320's.
The designations are Mx where x is the ordinal of the item; so it starts at M1 ("Colt 1911" was pistol M1) and goes to M2, M3, etc... Intermediate modifications are sub-designated with Ax, as in M1A1.
IM A BIG GLOCK FAN, FOR YEARS NOW. BUT, I THINK IM GOING TO PURCHASE ONE OF THESE. BEAUTIFUL FIREARM. JUST LIKE THE REST OF YOUR VIDEOS, VERY GOOD JOB SOOTCH.
A large known popular Police Dept.in the State I live in issued the Beretta 92FS since 1988 to officers all the way through the 1st decade of 2000s.In 2010, this P.D. changed to a polymer frame striker fire pistol for new officers graduating from academy.I think it's the S&W MP & changed it early last year to the 2.0 model.
Its a completely different weapon platform. They didn't call the M16 the M14A2 or whatever iteration it was on. Even if it fills the same role, its a different gun, so it gets a different designation.
anmesm58527 correct. The reason when the US Army was looking at replacing the M-16/4 platform and the new rifle was the XM-8 by HK. It eventually was cancelled.
Glock was rejected because they refused to mount an external safety, which disqualified them from ever becoming general issue. Read the report. Only a complete fool would think the P320 is actually better than the Glock 19. Cheaper, sure, modular, sure, external safety, sure, but that doesn't make it a better combat pistol. The Glock is proven. The P320 is not. But the Army doesn't care because they never really use pistols in combat.
craig wentling they were using the 226...a much heavier pistol than the 19. I don't think they completely dumped it...but rather give them the option to use the G19
craig wentling. Yes they did however they are special operations not big army so they can be more particular with choices as well as their firearms are better maintained compared to big army.
357 sig is only expensive because it's not popular right now, but if the military started using it you can bet the prices would drop a lot. Eventually it would only be slightly more expensive than 9mm because it uses a little more gun powder. As far as the military not being able to use HP ammo that's false. They absolutely can use HP ammo. The hague convention in 1898 that banned the use of expanding ammo was never signed by the US and it only pertained to interstate conflicts and not intrastate conflicts. Here's a link www.military.com/daily-news/2015/07/17/us-army-wants-hollow-point-ammo-for-new-pistol-not-for-the-m9.html
there is already a DOD contract for 375 sig the secret service, TSA, and other government agencies use 357 sig and the price has only gone up with that being said the military would have to buy millions up on millions of rounds and at this point there is not an ammunition manufacturer that could fill that request in a desired amount of time and the round would have to be mass produced and bulk packaged so the quality of the round would be degraded and no better than the 9mm they already have stock piled and paid for
Had my 320 for a while and I have to say I am very pleased with it. I can rapid fire it and keep a very tight pattern. Never liked Glocks or Berettas. Just personal preference.
I had my sig p320 for awhile now the only thing i had wrong with it was winchester white box ammo caused light primer strikes it does not happen with any other ammo so i threw that ammo out. Trigger on this so awesome also.
mojo jojo Bingo. you hit the nail on the head. modularity is pointless during firefight or home invasion. a frame without the fire control is just as bulky as full pistol. A modular gun with accessories will never be as practical as owning more than one firearm bc regardless of how many barrels, slides, frames and magazines you own, you still only have one functional fiream in an emergency so be careful accidentally grabbing 357 magazine and try to run it in a pistol configured as . 40
John Wayne Not sure if you understand the point of having a modular system. It's so that you can easily configure the pistol to your wants and/or needs. It just makes it easier to work on. Besides, no one is going to try and swap out barrels and slides during a home invasion or firefight.
rambokicksass77 i understand the concept of modularity but having a 9mm compact gun for ccw and a full size 45 for home defense is still more useful than a one gun that can be both.there is always the chance of mixing up magazines with disastrous results.with two guns i can have one as back up in case it fails or i run out of ammo or i can have one for myself and one i can lend to an unarmed housemate or battle buddy when shit hits the fan.with a modular system all i have is one gun and a bunch of parts that take up as much space as a real gun without any of the capability to actually be used in self defense.mod systems are only ideal in fascist states where civilians are restricted in the numbers of registered handguns they are allowed to own and thus are forced to buy one "swiss army jack of all trades" that has to be transformed to be used into the gun needed at the time. i would gladly pay the extra 200 bucks to have an extra gun instead of just extra parts.
Glock may have been the cutting edge back in the 90's and is still a perfectly good gun today, but the fact of the matter is that, Glocks are now outdated and have been far surpassed by many other designs.
classicMaxReviews How can you say such a thing when the majority of Law Enforcement an other Federal Agencies including the military thru out the world carry What???? GLOCKS!!!!
just because something is technically outdated doesn't mean that it is either bad nor that people instantly stop using it. I love revolvers but i am perfectly willing to say that they are outdated. as i originally stated the Glock is still a perfectly serviceable pistol that as you pointed out is still in wide use across the world. but the fact of the matter is that the P320 design and other modular pistols like it are more advanced in design and are more than likely the way forwards as far as handgun technology is concerned, the army isn't looking for something that is good enough now, or that was the best 20 years ago, they want the best available now and something that will be future proof for the next 20-30 years.
What is this plethora of "modular" Pistols you speak of? This Sig is the only one that has the removable chassis. Also, the "technology" is the damn same. It's a polymer framed, striker fired, Browning cam-lock pistol with a melonite-like coating and stainless steel stampings for frame parts... What is so damn space age about that? It's the same damn shit. Gun dorks are on here acting like this Sig is as big of a technological innovation in small arms as a turbofan engine was over a piston engine in aviation. Small arms have reached an apex, stop acting like these small logistical innovations will equate to a more effective weapon, because they won't.
a good buddy of mine is making the slides in newington NH on Pease trade port .. the trade port used to be Pease air force base.. it is now a fraction of what it used to be as a NH ANG base where i work as an armed security contractor.. end of history lesson
Thats weird man, I have a sig 320 and my wife has a G19 lol. I think the glock transitions target to target faster. Overall though I like my 320 better tho, wife has brass to face issue with here glock.
kill4me I've owned a gen4 g19 and g17. I'm gonna have to disagree. Had too many malfunctions for a brand that's supposed to be perfection! The grip and grip angle are not for me. And paying so much for a gun with plastic stock sights is a rip off! Also brass to the face is a big no no for me, and both were bad about it. especially the g19, happened 5-8 times per mag
Darren сука I owned one that was really awful! And I've seen enough of other people's malfunction too. every time I say something about how bad mine was the fanboy's can't wait to tell me it must have malfunctioned because I did something wrong, but get amnesia when I mentioned the recall and redesigned ejector.
Yea, I guess Glock likes to forget about that little issue with the early Gen 4 9mms having to go back because of the recoil spring not letting the gun cycle. Doesn't exactly sound like perfection.
Chipz there was a recall on the RSA, that fixed the malfunctions in my g17 but not the g19. they redesigned the ejector also but I sold them before that happened.
Purchased the Sig P320 TacOps (9mm) Dec 30, out of the Box I was more accurate with this sig and the 4.4 barrel then with my Glock's (26 &19), but started to notice an issue with incomplete extraction of the spent cartridge. Ran a test with 6 diff ammos, 50 rds ea, 5 new mags, indoor conditions, out of 300 rds I had 32 jams (federal white box 0 issues). have to say so far Sig customer service has been great, sent the weapon back to Sig and it looks like a $6 dollar extractor spring is the culprit, replacing this spring seems to have fixed this issue with the other youtube reviewers, we will see.
I tested the M9 at Ft. Benning in 1983. The 9mm sucked then and it sucks now. I got in a pissing contest with an O-6 Army from D.A.. This testing was done at the US ARMY INFANTRY BOARD@ Sandypatch right next to Ranger Reg.HQ..
Nice update. I'm searching everywhere for a 320c grip module in SMALL, and can't find one anywhere. So, let your viewers know that although the modular design seems like a great idea, if Sig can't supply the parts to meet the demands, their modular system isn't a reality yet.
Glocks have a huge disadvantage because the design isn't exactly friendly to men with smaller hands and generally speaking, most females. The grip is incredibly blockly and lacks ergonomics. When you put Glock pistols up against a gun like the P320 that can be tailor fit to a female service member standing at 5 feet tall at very little cost, its not hard to see why it was selected. I hope the Sig P320 fares well in service
Sold a P250 45 cal. to a bud who was used to the 1911....well needless to say Sig cranks out some good stuff AND somehow i don't think he's at all dissapointed. Thanx for another good vid!
I have heard from a lot of people that another gun that was submitted was the Remington RP9. So the P320 was up against some stiff competition. Also another benefit and probably a more practical use is damage. So if a gun gets damaged, maybe run over by a truck or some other thing and you crack the grip you can get replace the grip and not have to worry about the actual gun being out of circulation. Also it is much cheaper to replace the P320 shell than it is to replace the entire frame of the Beretta.
Not a big fan of Sig at all, mostly due to the horribly high bore axis on their guns, but I'll say this looks a shitload better than a square ass Glock with that horrid fucking grip angle.
Sig Saur's ammo is some of the best 9mm ammunition that I have used in factory ammo, very accurate, very consistent grouping and zero failures, jams, double feeds etc.. in all five boxes (250 rounds), might have something to do with that.
Beretta have nice quality and metal frame....so military change great Berettra quality for cheap plastic pistol (not cheap if they got one for 2k$). I have Beretta Vertec and I'm happy to have one, so solid and reliable.
I returned my P320C the very next day! I thought it felt cheap, top heavy as hell, Very high Bore Axis and the trigger was unstable to me. Right about when the trigger breaks, it feels like its literally going to break! It has a weird squeaky spring type feel to it when you pull it back. The polymer feels like some cheap Lego Plastic. If you tap it or flick it, it sounds hollow, unlike the Glock polymer that feels very solid & strong. I really do not see what everyone is raving about. I took it back and bought a P226 tacops and havent looked back!
It is amazing, the more things change the more they stay the same. The Springfield 30.06 was based on the Mauser and now 120 years later we contract again with the Germans. I am surprised that we couldn't use an American company.
I know one of the gripes with the M9 was the grip size for women and men with small hands. It will be interesting to see how the polymer frame holds up to military use
Thanks for the video. I just bought this gun about three days ago and I haven't had the chance to shoot yet but can't wait. I'm also military so it must be fate.
I love my Glock but I've gotta say the way that P320 sounds. When he racks the slide and the way that takedown pin comes out. It's not pretty but damn that thing screams quality.
At 4:30 some people will not understand about the modular design. The so called lower with the trigger group is the serial numbered part of the weapon. You should turned the pieces around in the video and shown them the lower serial number and stocks to make them understand that.
So, talking to a firearms instructor, he ordered in several of the xm 17 and he said these were tested and put thousands of rounds through them. While other pistols started to have problems this XM was hardly worn down. He also said that the ammo he uses will out do the .40 and the .45...and more the knock down power of the 357 Mag. Anyone know about that??
Luckily I have had mine for a few months and beat the stampede to get one but my thought is that as hard as the conversion kits are to come by from Sig NOW just imagine how few they will have for the civilian market in a month or two.
I just purchased the P320 from Classic Firearms for $419.00 on a Police TradeIn Unissued. Meaning the police purchased the gun but never issued it. Best price on the market!!!

Mike Campbell I wonder if I'm going to be issued an M17 when I go into the Air Force after college. I'm gonna try and become a pilot!
I picked up a full size 40. Cal about a year ago, and I absolutely love it! I think it will serve the Army very well!
Here come the surplus M9 pistols.
LOL
I wouldn't buy one for $200.
Rocky Elorde bullshit! i would just to have history! at 200$? no brainer! hell i think id buy it just cause of die hard movies at that price! lol! love this sig320 tho, makes me envious with my glocks!

I have the P320M18 and I absolutely love it I just added a TLR-7A which is a awesome light
I've never owned a Sig, but this sells me on this model.
U won’t be disappointed
I bought the 320-C in 9 mm and immediately got the exchange kit for 40 and 357. Changing out the fire control group is very simple and quick. This is the best video I've seen so far on the P320 / XM-17. Nice job Don!
I just bought this pistol. Really feels good in the hand and good shooter.
Best video on the P320 I've seen..
It's about damn time the Army got something worth shooting! I'm proud of Sig.
This is the best review on the inter webs that explains the Sig / US Army contract. You nailed it w this one! Kudos.
And I own a Sig P320 and I love it.
I didn’t buy an exchange kit, I just swapped out the barrels from 40 cal to 9mm , bought it directly on SIG Website. It works just fine. It was cheaper that way... great video
I'd swap out my glock 19 for one, but I really like the 33 round mags.
bought this gun when it first came out.
The Glock 19X is a superior handgun; for one thing you have the ability to grip the gun much higher than the Sig; hence better recoil management.
now we're going to see how these hold up with the modular frame when the get thrown in tac boxes and beat to death in an arms room and with use of regular soldiers (not operators) I love Sig can't wait to see the long term results, awesome channel sootch keep em' coming
Is it a very modular unit?
Just bought the compact as my first pistol. I've only bought long guns so far. Shot it, love it, and have no regrets.
reports say sig is selling the p320 to the us army for $207 a unit
Nice
Spectre M9s were around $60 at one point.
new? I doubt it

Yes, +P./+P+ loads. Beretta doesn't recommend those loads in their regular 92 handguns. That's what they developed the Brigadier for.
@@linuxcooldude and that's why I got the brigadier model 😁
Their ingenious modular system just set the bar higher for all the rest to catch up, well done!
Sig's vengeance, Sig made it! Yeah~
LOL, the payback for P226. But frankly, I'd say M9 is more sexier looking than this P320. P320 is a bit ugly and blocky. I'd choose M9 over P320, of course if I'm allowed to choose another gun, I'd go with Sig P210.

The sig p320 is famous for having one of the best striker fired triggers. Only ones that are better are the PPQ and I think a HK.
The P320's trigger is exceptional. It is short and tight and predictable. Out of all of the handguns that I own, it is easily the best.
TotalDbag In your opinion.
Hadn't seen anyone actually pull out that chassis until now, great way of doing it all things considered; hope to see something similar out of other manufacturers in the future.
As a civilian, I think I'd rather just have 2 or 3 guns, than parts in a box I can't use by themselves.
I just bought my P320C for 429 dls brand new, love it ,install the talon grips love it more..
If I can purchase one handgun that can convert size and caliber with out the headache of paper work and permits huge selling point for me
MrRTWestra 9 months! Was that for a firearms ID card as well, or just a permit? I get my permits in about 3 weeks
Cainnech address change for my FID and 1 permit.
I served in the regular army and the reserves from '84 to "06. NEvER fired a service pistiol.. I remember the seeing the 1SGTs 1911 that were worn out and the bluieing was mostly gone.
I think I still prefer the Glock 19...
3rd Gen
Or the CZ P10 C When they show up in the stores...
John Ganshow
It has a slightly better trigger, what else?
John Ganshow
I'd be happy with any of the front-runners, but do so knowing that not any one is a huge advantage.
Regardless of which side of the isle your on, I respect the Army's decision here. As I custom build my own Glock 22, I understand the need to build on the fly and the P320 provides that. One love.
Glock ! Always The Bridesmaid Never The Bride : )
I own the 19x and absolutely love shooting it. I also own both the P320 compact and the RX full size. I will forever love Glocks but I have to confess that I really like shooting the 320's.
It's not going to the "XM" 17 is it? The "X" designation is the trial name right? Isn't it just going to be M17?
Villamor78 M17 as in the adoption year, 2017?
The designations are Mx where x is the ordinal of the item; so it starts at M1 ("Colt 1911" was pistol M1) and goes to M2, M3, etc... Intermediate modifications are sub-designated with Ax, as in M1A1.
Villamor78 yes, like the M9 its trial name was XM-9. So it will be designated M17 for 2017.
IM A BIG GLOCK FAN, FOR YEARS NOW. BUT, I THINK IM GOING TO PURCHASE ONE OF THESE. BEAUTIFUL FIREARM. JUST LIKE THE REST OF YOUR VIDEOS, VERY GOOD JOB SOOTCH.
great overview
A large known popular Police Dept.in the State I live in issued the Beretta 92FS since 1988 to officers all the way through the 1st decade of 2000s.In 2010, this P.D. changed to a polymer frame striker fire pistol for new officers graduating from academy.I think it's the S&W MP & changed it early last year to the 2.0 model.
I'm not a huge Glock fan, but I would choose a Glock over the P320.
The RX model not only has a slide cutout for an optic but it comes with SIG's own ROMEO1 reflex mounted optic.
Is it only the XM-17 until issued then will be called the M-17?
I would think so, that is the typical pattern.
NovaScotiaNewfie yes, they designation "X" is for experimental or prototype. Essentially for test purposes. It will most likely be the M-17 pistol.
The M-9A4 has a nice ring to it.
I carried the Beretta 92 during my 20+ years in the Army. Never cared for it and was glad to see it go
Glock lost to sig lol.
Laird Cummings lol sure it is glock 17 19 and 26
s14duma Glock doesn't have a safety either.
WAY better.
Rolling Stop and dont forget the looks lol
Nice review of the modularity of this offering from Sig.
Bore axis looks like it's a mile high.
Yeah, isn't this modded from the hammer fired P250? Had to have room for the hammer at one point.
So happy and excited they went with the Sig P320!
didnt the SEALS just dump the Sig for the Glock. .
craig wentling they were using the 226...a much heavier pistol than the 19. I don't think they completely dumped it...but rather give them the option to use the G19
I think it was a cost issue
craig wentling. Yes they did however they are special operations not big army so they can be more particular with choices as well as their firearms are better maintained compared to big army.
Maybe because Glock always goes bang on trigger pull
Tim Xero you have no clue what you're talking about.
Nothing is as satisfying as shooting a beretta 92 with actual beretta mags . Every time you go rapid fire we are closer to getting Lethal Weapon 5
If they are going to switch calibers 357 sig is probably better than 40 S&W.
Caliber makes no difference when the Army still uses shitty FMJ Ball ammo in their pistols. 357 sig would just pass right through, same as 9mm.
They can switch to HP if they really wanted to.
Prepare2Survive , 357 Sig is way to expensive for ammo and 40 is a bit too snappy for people that never fired a weapon b4
Here's a link www.military.com/daily-news/2015/07/17/us-army-wants-hollow-point-ammo-for-new-pistol-not-for-the-m9.html
there is already a DOD contract for 375 sig the secret service, TSA, and other government agencies use 357 sig and the price has only gone up with that being said the military would have to buy millions up on millions of rounds and at this point there is not an ammunition manufacturer that could fill that request in a desired amount of time and the round would have to be mass produced and bulk packaged so the quality of the round would be degraded and no better than the 9mm they already have stock piled and paid for
the way that gun comes apart mind blown
No views, first like... wow. Now I know why everyone says "first!" It's like setting foot on the moon! Exactly like that!
Congrats and thanks David.
sootch00 comment 162!! woo I know how ya feel
awesome Sootch
except that we never actually set foot on the Moon!
We did land on the moon. All the conspiracy theorists from lighting to proportion have already been debunked.
Had my 320 for a while and I have to say I am very pleased with it. I can rapid fire it and keep a very tight pattern. Never liked Glocks or Berettas. Just personal preference.
I really liked this pistol when I shot it!
I had my sig p320 for awhile now the only thing i had wrong with it was winchester white box ammo caused light primer strikes it does not happen with any other ammo so i threw that ammo out. Trigger on this so awesome also.
I wanna see the CZ p10c VS the P320......
the CZ is the better gun. The modularity of the p320 is just a gimmick. if someone wants a different calibre they will buy another gun.
mojo jojo It's a good gun for people in the not so free states with gay ass waiting periods.
mojo jojo Bingo. you hit the nail on the head. modularity is pointless during firefight or home invasion. a frame without the fire control is just as bulky as full pistol. A modular gun with accessories will never be as practical as owning more than one firearm bc regardless of how many barrels, slides, frames and magazines you own, you still only have one functional fiream in an emergency so be careful accidentally grabbing 357 magazine and try to run it in a pistol configured as
This is one gun that won't be sold in calif. Thank god i got my H&K usp full-size 9mm. Fantastic Gun.
Hans Blitz Lol i agree
Hans Blitz
Thank you, dude is talking from his ass.
This makes me so happy! Im glad I purchased this pistol a few months ago. Very happy with it.
they shoulda chose the CZ P 09, Cz fanboy here, but Cz makes the best pistols
They break trigger return springs.
a good buddy of mine is making the slides in newington NH on Pease trade port .. the trade port used to be Pease air force base.. it is now a fraction of what it used to be as a NH ANG base where i work as an armed security contractor.. end of history lesson
holy high bore axis batman lol.
Steve_MP5 it is higher than a glocks.i have a 320 my wife has a glock 19.for me the sig is easier to get back on target.
SIG P1935
Thats weird man, I have a sig 320 and my wife has a G19 lol. I think the glock transitions target to target faster. Overall though I like my 320 better tho, wife has brass to face issue with here glock.
I believe he was comparing it to modern striker fired pistols.
cool beans Have her contact Apex about a fix for Btf. I've done it to all my Glocks. Works perfectly.
Just bought one because your original review!
So glad glock didn't win! Sick of fanboy's claiming that it's the best pistol in the world!
Neil Garner So you hate the gun because of the cancerous fans?
Not because of its performance on anything?
kill4me I've owned a gen4 g19 and g17.
I hate Glocks. I prefer Springfield Xdm and mod 2.
I hope the Sig P320 fares well in service
jonnytestnj I just hope it doesn’t get service members killed with frame failures.
Sold a P250 45 cal. to a bud who was used to the 1911....well needless to say Sig cranks out some good stuff AND somehow i don't think he's at all dissapointed. Thanx for another good vid!
I feel like the Sig's plastic is too brittle and it will prove to be prone to breaking. The magic of Glock is Gaston's polymer formula.
Any polymer is going to break down in time. I figured that those parts would be incredibly easy to replace and they would be cheaper in bulk
Yup. Very easy to chip and break. I actually chipped mine with a plastic hammer.
That's definitely an ugly gun.
You have your opinion, but man is your opinion shit
Not a big fan of Sig at all, mostly due to the horribly high bore axis on their guns, but I'll say this looks a shitload better than a square ass Glock with that horrid fucking grip angle.
Not how it looks , how it shoots . Time will tell .
We always always enjoy your reviews thanks!!!
The most ugliest gun ever.
volkmaestro ever seen a nambu?
I still think CZ's are fuglier...
Ugly didn't appear on the list of criteria set by the military. As long as it does it's job...
Check out the Beretta, at 7:12 😉
Jordi Berrett Wat??? Seriously?
CZ-75 is a pure functional beauty.
Sig Saur's ammo is some of the best 9mm ammunition that I have used in factory ammo, very accurate, very consistent grouping and zero failures, jams, double feeds etc.. in all five boxes (250 rounds), might have something to do with that.
I love the sound of bullets hitting steel.
Great videos Sir. Greetings from the Commonwealth of Australia.
Beretta have nice quality and metal frame....so military change great Berettra quality for cheap plastic pistol (not cheap if they got one for 2k$). I have Beretta Vertec and I'm happy to have one, so solid and reliable.
IksinskiTomek They are heavy. You're in pain after a 12hr shift. They shoot great though.
Just picked up my HK vp9 tactical, but this will be in my safe real Soon.. another great video. Thanks.
just picked mine up this week and I love it !!
I'm super excited to get my hands on the fullsize RX model. looks like a beautiful piece of machinery
I know one of the gripes with the M9 was the grip size for women and men with small hands. It will be interesting to see how the polymer frame holds up to military use
Seems like a good choice! Looking forward to actual use results.
Just ordered two magazines. Price for two was cheaper than one anywhere else I have looked. Thanks.
Luckily I have had mine for a few months and beat the stampede to get one but my thought is that as hard as the conversion kits are to come by from Sig NOW just imagine how few they will have for the civilian market in a month or two.
I just bought one yesterday and I love it.
More plastic 9mm guns, brought to you by the hit single, "I can't drive .45"...
thanks Sootch you helped me make an informed decision
I always thought highly of Sig Sauer's pistols. Especially this and the classic P226.
I just purchased the P320 from Classic Firearms for $419.00 on a Police TradeIn Unissued. Meaning the police purchased the gun but never issued it. Best price on the market!!!
PS with Night sights too
Thanks for all the info. Out of the box a great shooter
My Beratta APX also has a modular frame with separate grips. The modular Sig is not any different from the modular Baretta APX.
