Personally, I have always preferred Komaki's style of drumming. I find it more energetic and punkish compared to Yusuke's and I thoroughly enjoy the sound of his snare drum. But in general, they are both amazing drummers and have done heaps for the evolution of Tricot's sound.
Yeah Komaki has more raw style. But I don’t think Yuusuke is the one that made the band sounds change. It’s more of the entire band, I think they just want different sound, something more poppy sound, and I think Motifour also exploring more effect/ambience rather than the riff on their last few albums. I always love entire tricot discography, but their old work has some special place in my heart for sure..

i didn't like jodeki. but every other album is still great. i agree though, komaki was the best era of tricot
