The band consists of 3 female founding members, Ikkyu Nakajima (vocals / guitar),Motoko “Motifour” Kida (guitar / backing vocals), and Hiromi “Hirohiro” Sagane (bass / backing vocals). Right after the current male drummer Kazutaka Komaki joined in May 2011, they established their own label, BAKURETSU RECORDS.
The band develops a very unique world with perfectly mixed elements of pure, fragile but strong vocals and unpredictable song transition. The band’s experimental music primarily consists of melodic post-rock-inspired sounds and complex rhythm reminiscent of math rock (although the members are not conscious of the music genre such as post rock or math rock. They may not even know the word of “math rock”).
Their live performance is far more vibrant and intense than you could expect from their cute appearances and is highly praised by fans and media. In 2012 and 2013, they performed at most major festivals in Japan such as ARABAKI ROCK FEST, FUJI ROCK FESTIVAL, ROCK IN JAPAN, RISING SUN ROCK FESTIVAL, MONSTER baSH, WILD BUNCH FEST, SWEET LOVE SHOWER and so on.
In February, 2014, 3 record labels in Taiwan, Hong Kong and Malaysia released the 1st album “T H E” and in March they toured around 5 countries in “What’s Ochansensu-Su!? tricot Asia Tour 2014”. They will also appear 4 major festivals in Europe this summer and develop their music career all around the world.
After the Asia tour, they did two one-man shows at Akasaka Blitz, Tokyo on March 20 and Umeda AKASO, Osaka on March 27. On March 27, Kazutaka Komaki (drum) left the band and tricot re-started their career with three founding members.

展開の予測できない独特でスリリングな楽曲、それでいて耳から離れない中毒性の高いサウンドに、力強くも可憐で繊細なヴォーカルが絶妙にマッチし唯一無二 の世界観を生み出している。キュートな笑顔からは想像のつかないD難度の変拍子楽曲をまさに「爆裂」と言う言葉が相応しい激しいライブ・パフォーマンスで 披露し現在シーンを大席巻中！！フロアには変拍子に合わせて無理やり踊るチャレンジングなキッズが大増殖中！！
2012年、2013年はARABAKI ROCK FEST、京都大作戦、FUJI ROCK FESTIVAL、SETSTOCK、MONSTER baSH、ROCK IN JAPAN、RISING SUN ROCK FESTIVAL、WILD BUNCH FEST、SWEET LOVE SHOWER等、各地の大型フェスに出演し注目を集める。2014年2月にはアジア３カ国の現地レーベルからアルバム・リリースが決定し、3月には初のアジア５カ国ツアーを実施。続く3月20日には東京・赤坂BLITZ、3月27日には大阪・梅田AKASOでワンマンライブを開催。3月27日、komaki♂(Drums)が音楽性の相違を理由に脱退し、オリジナルメンバー３人での活動を再開。 - บันเทิง

Seeing the crowd grow made me genuinely feel joy
I know right? It's a shame cuz most of them aren't vibing that much but at least it grew a lot.
@@Javid_74 It's less of a not vibing and more being just absolutely awestruck. I showed up to a show where they were opening for a band I was seeing a couple years ago, no idea who they were before and the crowd was the same. There were a couple people there to see just Tricot, but the majority of us just stood there in shock at the creativity, talent, and absolute wall of beautiful sound smashing us in the face from them. People didn't dance like crazy, but everyone swarmed their merch table and the crowd was the loudest for them by the end of the set. One of the only bands I've seen live where I just didn't know what to do with myself, 10/10 would see live again.

Exactly what I was thinking when I watched this.... How the hell do you watch this performance with your feet stuck to the ground and your hands glued to your sides. Tricot max out the awesomeness scale in the performance!

but normally the place in Linz is not to crowded. there is no preorder of tickets there.

dang, this crowd is lifeless. Seriously if I didn't know who tricot was and I saw them play live like this I would have been hype.
Wow! Every time I watch something by these talented women, I am constantly impressed! They have such a great natural groove that it's hard to compare them with anything else around these days. I really like what they are capable of with their harmonies and with "Motifour's" stellar guitar ability (this girl is really so freaking good!) and with the singers sweet voice and the dynamite rhythm section. The new drummer is a perfect fit she's a powerhouse herself and it's a great mix in the end. Can't stop watching these women jam!!! It doesn't get much better than this for me! Very drawn to their style in "Anamein" and the killer groove of "Tobe". I hope they are successful and are able to stick around for a long while.
Their new album releases in 11 days, so it's probably getting better than this \m/

ShadowCrowX It's good for the most part, but it's too bad the audio from another performance is present throughout the entire performance. The audio is going direct into the board, so there shouldn't be this much bleed over from another stage.

I feel it. I've played to audiences like that, (note; our band were not this good) it's frustrating. It takes a lot of work to put a set together, get to the gig etc. Then sometimes the audience stand like dummies. Next gig and it's totally different. Sometimes we outnumbered the audience. Oh well, we had fun. Mostly.
