I noticed the same thing you did ”Great for edging and beard trimming”. For some reason I bet they think you should still buy the cartridge razor (There is also a barely noticed Kung C Gillette cartridge razor too) and use the DE razor for trimming and sculpting. That way they can double their profits (And shut up traditional shavers at the same time 😀)
geofatboy Probably not. All the King C. Gillette products are targeted to man with beards. They have a beard oil and a cartridge razor in this line which also says the same on the package ;)
Well what do you expect, they make more money with selling plastic more so than metal. They could really make some crazy money if they made a full stainless steel DE razor, though I don't think people really want to spend the money to make it happen though.
Thing I love about Geo is that every video he acts like he's talking to a newbie and gives basic information so beginners don't feel left out. Great teaching method.
Easier to remember that way. Listen once, forget after; listen more than once, remember after. That’s why I keep watching his videos. I improved my lathering as he kept repeating in each videos; improved DE shaving etc. He has knowledges I want.
He does a great job. He’s helped me learn how to shave so now I support him by purchasing products from his store. It’s a win win! Thanks Geo. I love this new hobby.
I just bought this one today and well, as someone who grown up without a father, this really helped me out to learn more about how to shave even at my 23 y/o. Thanks man!

Just switched from an electric razor (Philips OneBlade) to this, first time when I try a safety razor, this was available in my country at a great price with a pack of 10 extra blades besides the 5 in the box. Used a Gillette shaving gel and Nivea aftershave balm, both for sensitive skin and the result is great, feeling smooth and refreshed, just one small nick that stopped on its own, no razor burn. Thank you Geo for the informative video on showing the proper technique when shaving with a safety razor. I'm sure there are a lot of young men out there that didn't have a father around to show them this kind of stuff and thanks to you they now know how to shave like real men. Great video, great advice.
@@arslaanpasha3334 yes, you have to change it after 4-8 months depending on your usage. if you don't change, it will still shave but not that deep and it will pull your hair
Thanks Geo, after 26 years of cartridge razors and hate shaving, your video has completely changed my mind I bought the King C Gillette safety razor and love it. All the best 👍
This is my first every safety razor, your video was very informative and very helpful! I went with Gillette because I have used their regular razors before, but needing some assistance with how to set up (properly) and safely use this safety razor your video helped so much! I also really like how you did a complete shave at the very end of the video. Thank you for guiding us through this process and being honest.
I’m a left-handed and I find absolutely no problem with the handle of the King C, it doesn’t slip or anything like that. Fantastic review and video, as alwasy. This video got me into DE Safety Razor shaving, never going back to cartridge razors again.
Great review, Geo! It’s hilarious that they don’t mention anywhere on the packaging that you can actually use it to shave. Lol. Love your videos and I love ordering from your company. Thank you for staying on top of orders in this tough time for us all. I’ve enjoyed getting in to wet shaving during this period. Nice and peaceful!
I cannot believe how quick and easy you make this look, that just glides over your face like butter! Admittedly I only just started with a DE razor and have only had one shave with it so far, so was going very very slow and have a lot to learn.
I'm a lefty. By two months of daily shaving I didn't have any problem with the handle or blade alignment. The weight is heavy, but it's a great plus IMO. Brilliant chrome plated finish and always shining great. Very smooth and comfortable shaving. For my tough whiskers at first it was a little bit mild but then I shimmed it and now it's the most enjoyable moment of my day. Recommend it with sharp blades like the new KCGs or Feathers. Excellent for beginners, cause it's impossible to cut yourself with this razor.
Used this model for the first time ever today (I’m 56 and a southpaw). Really pleased with it. I’ll never use a disposable razor ever again. Just wish I used one years ago. Great video mate. Thank you from the UK.
@@heyitswarriorgb3920 That's not true at all... stop spreading false information you idiot. You're supposed to start shaving at around 14. 15 year olds don't have beards so how can they trim if nothing is there? You're not supposed to wait till you're an adult to first start shaving...
@@HDgamingxbox360HD That's not quite true either, I don't think there is an age where one is "supposed" to shave. But by shaving you're going to prevent clogging of hair in the skin at a younger age. It's also good hygene, since you'll be cleaning your face more often preventing acne breakouts and stuff. @HardCoreHokeyPlyr14 don't dry shave tho
Just recently bought a wet shave kit with a DE safety razor. I also have a straight razor that uses DE blades, but I don't feel like I have the dexterity for it. Absolutely love my safety razor, and used it for the first time this morning. I think it's the closest shave I've ever given myself in 37 years. This video was very helpful in fine tuning my technique. Well done.
Thanks a bundle Geo you’ve reinvented the wheel for me. Forgot how to shave since I got married, had no trouble using my Dads technique, but since 1971, when I married, I must have tried everything from Pal and Schick injectomatics, to open blades, Harry’s, Dollar shaving club, and every new gimmicky invention that Gillette and Wilkinson have bought out. Even a £200+ electric without being completely satisfied, Thought I’d give the Gillette DE you demonstrated a try for a tenner, and using your technique results were excellent, completely sold! Thanks again.
Just bought one of these yesterday here in the UK for £13 on sale, used it yesterday and this is my first DE razor i've owned. Awesome stuff! The cutting action is so smooth and a million times less irritating than Mach3 or Fushion.
Glad to hear that you are getting on well with this razor, I picked myself up one from Asda this morning as I get so much irritation like you from the Mach 3,I’m just Psyching myself up to use it, as it’s a new experience for me and I’m a bit worried about cutting myself with that blade 😬
@@jasonclarke7422 I was the same, really scared and nervous to kind of go at it. The first ten shaves or so, I just went super slow and it took me a while to get the angle always right, so expect a few nicks for sure. I've since upgraded to the Muhle Companion DE razor and it's super nice! This one is also pretty good though still. The brush and shaving soap/cream is super important too, definitely not something to use canned foam on. Gotta lather up a really creamy amount of soap and then apply with the brush for maximum effectiveness! 😁
I purchased mine today and use it really smooth. It's worth the money, I hope Gillette company will bring other models of DE safety razors. Thanks for the video, be safe.
Great shave Geo. I have the razor and have already used it. I used a Feather blade and gave a very satisfactory shave. Thanks for the baby smooth tip. You are very informative and enjoyable to watch. Have a great day.
Thank you so much for your great videos. You have inspired me to take up DE shaving. My father only taught me how to shave with an electric razor. I came across your videos while I was looking for a replacement for my broken Norelco razor. I bought a new Norelco but it just didn’t perform as well as my old one. So I decided to try blade shaving. Since I haven’t used a blade razor since Air Force basic training in 1971, I decided to go with cartridge razors to get my face use to a blade. I am now using the Gillette King C razor except for against the grain for now until I get my shaving technique down pat. I also have a Merkur 34c on order. This is the best shaving thing I have ever done thanks to you. Easier than I expected and so far no nicks. Thanks again for your great videos and keep them coming.
I want to thank you for your very informative and throrough video. I learned a lot about how to shave correctly and realized how many mistakes I have made when I shaved with my razor for the first time. I can't wait to try and use the information I learned on my next shave

I switched to a double edge safety razor 18 months ago and will never go back. I love taking time for my morning “zen” ritual. A great way to start my day. Thanks Geofatboy for the effort and education you put into all your videos.
Cheers for this, I’ve decided to buy one for my first ever razor of this type, I’ve always used a cartridge razor, but after watching Geo, I’m totally converted to this style of shaving!
How have you got on with this razor over the past year? I have just bought myself this razor but I’m almost to scared to use it as I have never used a safety razor before. I guess I’m just going to have to man up and get on with it 😂
@@jasonclarke7422 I’m still using it and love it, I have sensitive skin with a thick beard growth, and I have no more I growing hairs or skin irritation, for the first time ever! So I bought this awhile back, used it twice and nicked myself on the chin and also got very big painful red spots on my neck after. Mind you it was my first time using a DE razor but I’m scared to use it again ☹️
I started DE shaving in 2018 after watching (in part) your videos. I remember watching a video of why you started up your company while scrolling through wet shave videos and given everything going on in the world I am so glad you are still going! I tried this razor and found it great. I had a Edwin Jager DE89, and sadly it broke. I then went out and bought a Parker 96 Daytona. That razor has been a handful! I suspect due to the longer handle and less aggressive blade angle. This one however has been great. Only criticism is the knurling should be extended. My shaving style makes use of the third finger and pinky (DE 89 short has been my razor for a while) and with this it feels slippery in hand. One other point. That shaving bowl is beautiful! Where can I get one? One last point. I've worked from home for near a year and your slogan of 'Have a great shave, have a great day' has reminded me to find some sort or normality and routine, KEEP IT UP!!!!
A friend I made in DE Wet Shave FB page gave me one of those safety Razors as gift ,amongst other wet shaving necessities. Thing is since I got my jagger 89 and a feather blade , I have not used another razor and have tried one other blade (astra green) it was good but not as good as the feather. I try a shark blade next then work my way through the options. Thanks to this video I’ll give KCG razor a try within next shave or two. Thanks geofatboy . Thanks to you and the members of my group I know have the confidence and routine to get a smooth shave with no razor burn,bumps/in grown hair , or other forms of irritation. That’s a first in my life and I’m almost 40.
i really like this razor - the only criticism i would have is the knurling doesnt go all th way down the handle and i find my fingers slipping on the smooth part aside from that its an excellent razor
Thank you for the video! First time in my life I shaved with a DE razor at 29. I bought Muehle 89 with proraso cream , cup for the cream and after shave. 100 euro all. The experience is very neat. I think I had 2 very small cuts but had no problem. The sensation is very good, I am very satisfied. With little practice, we will get better ! Have a good shaving boys.
My dad taught me how to shave with a cart a few years ago. Last Christmas, I returned the favour and taught him to use a DE! If that isn't the circle of life I don't know what is
Hey Geo, great review. This was my first ever DE safety razor, had been meaning to try it for a while as fed up of cartridges. Used it on my head with Feather blades and made the mistake of pushing down on the skin. Let’s just say I had an extremely close shave!! 🤣
Awesome guide!!! Thank you, friend! I was tired of purchasing cartridges and heard these Safety Razors ones are better for the skin overall. Just got these today and wanted to see how these work. So glad I found this video! He is making it look so easy. This is called years of experience! It took a lot longer because I was going super slow because I was scared to cut myself. Worked really well. Now I just gotta figure out how to shave my head with this thing. LOL
Nicely done Sir! It sounded like a really good shave. The audio on your video sounded to me like a Vance and Hines exhaust on a Harley. You just know it when you hear it. Note: I have a two-into-one Fat Cat on my CVO Softail Convertible. I used to sit fascinated when I watched my Dad shave as a boy, so I went back to the Safety Razor. Incidentally, he now uses a Gillette Pro-Glide cartridge. But at least we agree that Aqua Velva is still the old-school bomb! I liked the smell of Aqua Velva as a boy and so I use it every day to finish off a good shave.
Thanks for the review Geo and for the shaving tips. The Walgreens near me had a couple of these in stock when I checked last week. I have my eye on it for sure. As others have pointed out they make a cartridge razor in this brand too which is probably why they are promoting this DE as only for edging.
Thank you, my father was never around to teach me these things so I’m very thankful to guys like you and TH-cam as a platform where I can search for things like this!
Thanks geo fat boy just got my first safety razor and a pack of astra blades I’ve been watching videos to inform myself of proper form and technique. I’m going to get my first shave in about two days with a double edge safety razor using the Merkur 34c 😎. I wanted a razor brag wasn’t too aggressive but also not too dull right in the middle.
I bought the Gillette heritage three-piece razor. The heritage razor models the Gillette 1929 razor and it takes off a seven day Beard growth in one pass.
Thank you so much for this, I'm in my 30s and never really shaved as I wasn't taught how to, now I've started to shave this video has helped me so much. Again big thank you
Hi Geo, thanks for the video. It is good to see that traditional shaving becomes more and more common. So even Gillette can’t ignore it and tries to win market share. The head looks a bit like the usual Mühle or Merkur heads. Which is a good thing.
Wow just bought this exact razor and googled to figure out how to load it. So glad to find this easy and informative video. Thank you so much, years of experience in a few minutes. Now to practice…
Just got one for xmas. Closest, smoothest shave I have ever had. Took bit of getting used to the angle to cut n not scrape. Couple razor cuts on neck area, but that my fault being new to this shave. Can't wait for more stubble, so I can go again 😂 😂 😂
I've recently bought a Norelco electric shaver and still use the Wilkinson Sword brand safety razor as my go to shaving technique for giving myself a closer shave than an electric shaver can.
It's just surprising how excellent a cheap, simple, unadjustable double-edge safety razor can be. This one is just amazing. I'm a very demanding man with a sensitive skin, so when I'm home, I normally use the best safety razor ever made - Taiga. But I often travel all over the world, and for that purpose I always carry the King C. Gillette with me, and it's just perfectly efficient and sufficient. My King C. Gillette always provides a highly enjoyable shave.
I have stayed away from Gillette products for many months now. But curiosity finally got the better of me earlier this week when I saw this on the shelf at my local Walgreens. I shaved with it yesterday and today using a Wilkinson Sword Classic blade. I have to admit that it is a good razor. I really like its weight. I would agree with geofatboy’s assessment with respect to the razor’s aggressiveness - moderate. It’s not going to replace my adjustable razor but it will be nice to use this when I need to change my routine from time to time.
I'm gonna use coconut tree and bush as metaphors. Would it be safe to use this on the "bush" surrounding the "tree." *_Not_* the two fuzzy coconuts, or the tree itself. I mean the fuzzy bush below the tree, when it's started growing after 11, 12, 13 years. Get it?
You could but I would use a clipper with a #1 attachment first. Can be used on all 3 parts. That might be good enough for you. bit.ly/WahlManscaperBodyTrimmerSN
I like how you have a full on 3-5 days of beard growth every time you have a shaving video up not many other youtubers do that. Seems that no matter what de razor that is used they all seem to take all of the hair the first pass, not bad for a cheapy from Gillette.
I picked up this product from Amazon, my first safety razor. Very happy with the shave, i switched to derby premium blades once the 5 provided were done and I find they are overall better than the included gilette blades. It is a heavy safety razor and you gotta be careful with slipping, otherwise great product. Geo shaves with such confidence im not quite there yet.
Got this today and it looks really cool, vintage looking. I really like how sturdy it feels in my hand. Thank you so much for the helpful tips! As an Italian I can confirm that Proraso is super good. 💪🏼

my great grandfather used ustra with inbuilt blade way back in 1888, before shave he used to dip it in hot water & sterlize it with tulsi leaves. my grandfather used ustra initially then he started using double edged razor, he used to tell his kids not to disturb him while shaving as the disturbance can get his hands shaky & cut him which he suffered ocassionally. my father too used the same & shouted @ us never to disturb him while shaving. by mid 90s came double blade gillete razor which was a great relief for all men who suffered regular cuts. then in our times of 21st century started triple blade system which helped us giving noncut agressive fast smooth shaving 🤗🙏

Great review Geo, I live in Scotland so would probably be fairly difficult to get if I wanted one, however, after this virus I’ve promised myself not to buy anything Chinese, we’ve had enough from them to last a lifetime!. I just purchased a Muhle Rocca razor, the matte version, and I’ve got to say it’s a thing of beauty, best razor I have, also have the R89 and R41, so I’m pretty much covered, keep up the reviews though it’s good to see what’s out there, stay safe!
Since i shaved my beard and going with a clean shave look i hafto shave every morning. But after a month or two these Gillette razor that have 3-5 blades built in mp3 player and a calculator are way too expensive in the long run since they don't really last keep their edge. Got reminded about Saftey Razors they seem way more economical in the long run so i got this one waiting to try it out .

After the infamous commercial people said they would never buy Gillette again and they would start using double edge razors. This is Gillette's attempt to get in on the renewed interest in double edge razors. I'm not having it though. I originally stopped using Gillette cartridges because they were getting so expensive. After the commercial though, I won't even use a Gillette double edge razor that's much cheaper.

It may be a tribute but to me it's an insult. He mas produced it in USA, while these guys are making that thing in China, definitely not a fan of that.
The heritage 3 piece box set was an ok step. Head was made by muhle, handle made in USA. Then after they sold well and fulfilled their purchase commitment to muhle and american handle maker, they changed to all chines knock off for this razor. Pretty shady. The heritage at least was good quality parts. Then when they hyped everyone up, they stopped those and got crap from China for more profit on their slave labor there. One step forward, three steps back. Just sad. Probably needed profits to make up for all the money they lost with their last ad campaign.
Geo has hereto made the very best video guide to this outstanding DE safety razor on the net. Engaging, detailed, interesting, very instructive. Great job.
You said ladies. Nice. More and more ladies are discovering safety razors for their legs. Some even shave their entire face for the sleek doll like look.

I watch a lot of videos reviewing products. And this is one of the better reviews of anything that I’ve seen. I guess my only question is is that do you have to use shaving soap to get the most out of this played. Or can you use shaving cream or shaving gel. And which is cheaper of the three - shaving soap, shaving cream or shaving gel.

@youtubesucks Haven't noticed any Gillette man-hating feminist commercials, but I haven' t been using cartridge razors either. I've been using safety and straight razors all my adult life, but haven't been called either a feminist or a macho. I don't think that the way I shave has anything to do with the way I treat people in general or women in particular. PS: I've had very good experience with Gillette safety razor blades. They provide close and yet gentle shaves. So perhaps taking off the ideological blinds might help having better shaves as I haven't found other brands to make as good safety razor blades as Gillette. ;-)
@youtubesucksI haven't judged you, I don't even know you. I use products that convince me with regards to both the quality of the product and of the customer service, if required. An ill-received marketing or image campaign doesn't change the product quality by one bit, so why should I stop using good products because of that? I'm self-confident enough not to let companies tell me what makes a good person and what doesn't. If other people are so insecure that they allow companies to have a negative impact on how they see themselves, their self-confidence and their concept of masculinity, well, I feel truly sorry for them. BTW: I have meanwhile watched that image campaign - it wasn't a classical advertisement at all! - and honestly don't understand all the fuss about it. Are there really men out there who feel butt-hurt because of that? Seriously? Well, you'd best send them back to kindergarden and wait for them to grow up and develop something that is called self-confidence. At the end of the day, I just want to remove my facial hair, and I want to do that as gently and closely as possible without spending a small fortune on razors and multi-blade cartridges that consist 99 % of plastic waste. While I have time to use a straight razor at weekends, I use a safety razor and blades during the week. The best blades happen to be Gillette, so that's why I use them, until another company has something better to offer, preferrably at a better price, too.
don't know how this video come to me, but, i learned how to shave in the 70's with a Gillette double edge razor my gramps had in the early 30's, i still use it today almost 100 years later, that should tell you just how good they were to last that long, a man dont need them fancy 5 blades, one blade does the job

This one has a muhle head I believe after doing a comparison with it to a Merkur and Muhle. Regardless it is indeed a shame the legendary Gillette can’t make their own head for us
They're probably only tooled up to do disposables nowadays. Instead of outsourcing existing heads, they'd have to outsource the manufacturing of new ones. To do that and make them here in the states, we'd be paying at least double the current MSRP. Sadly, this just seems like a cash grab and a hollow attempt to undo the sh*t they took on men in recent past. P&G clearly doesn't care about heritage.
Hi Geo just a small correction. Gillette wasn’t the first to produce the safety razor, he invented the first disposal double edge blade for use in a safety razor. The safety razor was invented in 1762 by Jean-Jacques Perret. The kamfe brothers were the first to coin the term Safety Razor in their patent in 1880. All Gillette did was invent the disposable double edge blade for use in his double edge razor. He is really known for disposable blades if you think about it. Those tapes in the package are so bad they are really not a seal at all.
Thanks geo your one of the few people that got me into safety razor shaving I am 15 and got fed uo with throwaway razors and was looking for alternatives as cartrige razors seemd too expensive so i tried safety and honestly i have no regrets

I noticed the same thing you did ”Great for edging and beard trimming”. For some reason I bet they think you should still buy the cartridge razor (There is also a barely noticed Kung C Gillette cartridge razor too) and use the DE razor for trimming and sculpting. That way they can double their profits (And shut up traditional shavers at the same time 😀)
Hi Bill-Glad you caught that. That was my tongue in cheek way of saying the very same thing. You said what I was thinking.
Might be true.
I wouldn't be surprised if Gillette came up with that "theory" while reintroducing this traditional double-edged razor. 😄😄😄😄😄
geofatboy Probably not.

Glad it was helpful! Thanks for watching and commenting
Really nice of you to review a razor that is not available at your store. It shows that you care about providing an honest review.
You can do it! Practice makes perfect!
Thanks for sharing your experience Kamal!

Used this model for the first time ever today (I’m 56 and a southpaw). Really pleased with it. I’ll never use a disposable razor ever again. Just wish I used one years ago. Great video mate. Thank you from the UK.

@HardCoreHokeyPlyr14 don't dry shave tho
Well done.
Glad I could help-Thanks!
Sweet! Thanks for sharing
@@yeeeha5674 thanks for the advice, before I use this I will get some proper shaving products 👍
Thank Valley John, I appreciate that.
Many thanks for this. First time buying a “fancy” razor and it had no instructions or nothing. This video was great.
You're welcome! I'm glad you found it helpful.

Just shaved for the first time, couldnt have done it without this video. Thank you, much respect !
I've worked from home for near a year and your slogan of 'Have a great shave, have a great day' has reminded me to find some sort or normality and routine,
KEEP IT UP!!!!
Thanks Kameel, I'm glad your shaves are improving. Thank you for your support.
Thanks for the service you provide
i really like this razor - the only criticism i would have is the knurling doesnt go all th way down the handle and i find my fingers slipping on the smooth part aside from that its an excellent razor
Is the razor full metal? Are there any plastic parts?
Thank you for the video!
First time in my life I shaved with a DE razor at 29. I bought Muehle 89 with proraso cream , cup for the cream and after shave. 100 euro all.

Hey Geo, great review. This was my first ever DE safety razor, had been meaning to try it for a while as fed up of cartridges. Used it on my head with Feather blades and made the mistake of pushing down on the skin. Let’s just say I had an extremely close shave!! 🤣
Ouch yeah Feathers are really sharp. The angle matters too, cheers 🍻
All good stuff! Thanks for sharing

Thanks for the review Geo and for the shaving tips. The Walgreens near me had a couple of these in stock when I checked last week. I have my eye on it for sure. As others have pointed out they make a cartridge razor in this brand too which is probably why they are promoting this DE as only for edging.

Hi Geo, thanks for the video. It is good to see that traditional shaving becomes more and more common. So even Gillette can’t ignore it and tries to win market share. The head looks a bit like the usual Mühle or Merkur heads. Which is a good thing.
Hi Werner, you are exactly right-on all counts!

Just got one for xmas. Closest, smoothest shave I have ever had. Took bit of getting used to the angle to cut n not scrape. Couple razor cuts on neck area, but that my fault being new to this shave. Can't wait for more stubble, so I can go again 😂 😂 😂
It gets better with every shave!
I've recently bought a Norelco electric shaver and still use the Wilkinson Sword brand safety razor as my go to shaving technique for giving myself a closer shave than an electric shaver can.
I can't recall the brand name of my other razor but it's made in the UK.
So the safety razor wins again!

Great to hear Gillete has another good razor.... good review!

True Seb!
That razor and blades are produced in 3 different countries. Handle in China, the head in Germany, and the blades in Russia.

WTF are you on about?
youtubesucks aye good one I won’t forget either haven’t bought anything Gillette in a couple years either
Then why are you here watching him use a Gillette product? Get over it...I’m sure Gillette misses you. 🙄
don't know how this video come to me, but, i learned how to shave in the 70's with a Gillette double edge razor my gramps had in the early 30's, i still use it today almost 100 years later, that should tell you just how good they were to last that long, a man dont need them fancy 5 blades, one blade does the job
This razor along with the Heritage is a travesty, the king has a Merkur head and the Heritage has a Edwin Jagger head - shame on you P & G...
At least they're spreading the love around!
@@geofatboy those two do not represent the love of shaving or Gillette's legacy, they represent greed... P & G has the blueprints and rights to some of the most iconic and awesome razor designs ever made - and they choose to put out other companies designs??? They shit all over the heritage of Gillette :(
This one has a muhle head I believe after doing a comparison with it to a Merkur and Muhle.
Greetings! I believe I said "mass produce" regarding KC Gillette. And-Check this out: th-cam.com/video/-IbV_xb980w/w-d-xo.html
geofatboy yes you did. I got ahead of myself! No disrespect intended.
Gotta love shilling for a company that said they hated men two years ago.
Wdym?
Thanks geo your one of the few people that got me into safety razor shaving
I am 15 and got fed uo with throwaway razors and was looking for alternatives as cartrige razors seemd too expensive so i tried safety and honestly i have no regrets
Excellent! Thanks for sharing Peter!
Gillette. The best a non binary apachi helicopter can get.
did you just assume their gender?????
???
As Geo showed, you have to go through 2-3 times to get it done. I have an old really old Gillete that shaves with just 1.
It depends on the razor and the blade.
@@geofatboy ok. Guess i really prefer a razor with a little bit more aggressiveness. With this one, after shaving, i keep feeling like the need to go through one more time. I am using now, the KCG blades that came with the razor. Thx
Gillette razors for every man named Nancy. Real men would use pocket knives and rocks to shave with before they'd ever touch their face with a fantastically feminist Gillette razor!
I never heard of that "riding the cap" technique but always probably used too steep of an angle. Gotta try this! Thank you.
