Kojima was trying to get away from the metal gear series for a long time, he even received death threats when he announced he was leaving. Allow me to play devil's advocate here, what if kojimas firing was actually a plan to successfully get kojima away from Konami and in turn the metal gear series ? What if Konami decided they would be "The Boss", doing what was right in the long run but becoming the villain because of it?

Idk.. I actually think this falls apart when you realize he couldn't help but fill Death Stranding with Metal Gear elements.
Game 1, and he's making Metal Gear trailers for it full of Easter Eggs and nods.
Ds2 trailer comes out and it has factions and has Metal Gears in it that sing songs.
I think he may have felt kind of shackled to it at the time.. but he really isn't moving away from it. He may be trying, but he has not moved on and is struggling really hard trying not to make it another Metal Gear. I think dude was actually just fired and he's in his griefing stages still. 🤷 whether he knows it or not. It's like bringing up an ex during a new date.

I remember reading somewhere that MGS4 was supposed to be the last MGS game according to Kojima but Konami insisted that he make a fifth game. I think Kojima realise that if he stayed at Konami then this would be the the only series he would work on. The guy just wanted a new adventure creatively and he probably wasn’t going to get that at Konami.
Who knows maybe he had pitched the idea of Death Stranding years ago to Konami and they shot it down and just wanted him to make another MGS game.

People be talking like they are Kojima. "Kojima is not coming back!". For me there's a little possibility, he's not angry at Konami. He literally said on record that he is grateful and thankful that KONAMI let him do what he wants. Only people are angry, give KONAMI some credit even just for reintroducing MGS to people. Kojima could come back anytime but not now, he's too busy.

They closed Kojima's studio because he takes too much time and resources on projects, yes it was profitable in the end but probably took a while to make back the 80 million dollar budget for a game that took around 4 years or so to develop. I don't think they said they would never work with Kojima again, they just weren't going to give him a blank check and endless deadline.
I think the remake looks great, it should be fine without Kojima as long as they don't try to change the story, might even be better than if Kojima got involved honestly.

For a remaster such as MGS delta, then I dont think it will make much difference if Kojima is involved or not.
As far as new releases, I will probably wait to see a few reviews before purchasing obviously. But I will also wait for reviews for Delta after the disaster release of the master collection lol.
In either case, I think MGS needs a new direction if they decide to make any new games, they should get away from the whole "Recruiting enemies" part of the game that was introduced in MPO and move more towards how MGS 1, 2, 3, and 4 are played where you play as Snake and sneak through the map with many ways of doing so. Im sure they can go back to that formula and change it up a little to keep things interesting (Buddy system, new cqc styles etc.)

Issue: Konami does not care. Just look at Silent Hill. Pachinko is dying and video games' most valuable trait now is being apart of a known IP, which Konami has plenty of. That's not to say the people working on Metal Gear don't care for Metal Gear. So why the difference between the two? MGS has some original developers working on it and at Konami still. They don't have enough to actually make a game all on their own (they couldn't even do Master Collection alone) but they are there. Meanwhile, Team Silent was gotten rid of decades ago and are gone. Konami doesn't care. The people who made the games care. And that goes for everyone in the industry. No one cares the slightest about any game they didn't work on. That's why remakes are so bad, because they're almost always handled by people who didn't work on the original.

      @sergueileonardoafonin7950 8 วันที่ผ่านมา

Remakes might because the base is there. MGS 3 remake tells the same story (God I hope so). So it should be good by writing standarts. If they don't x up the style of the game, that's a plus as well. If they port the gameplay from MGSV, that's a plus as well. So it might be good because of the already pulled in work. However I don't see how they are going to create new ones. Kojima was a visionnairy. He made the games after concepts like "meme" or "gene". Brought in Hollywood actors and style for cutscenes. Searched for suitable music.
Yes he was terrible at certain things, like being subtle. But without him there's just no soul in MGS.

Honestly, Kojima could've made DS less boring. I mean I get that his work on MGS was impressive but maybe MGS needs a change in direction. Phantom Pain was boring as well. No real story froms tart to finish. unfinished project and lots of other problems. I think despite the fact that Kojima is a legend, people need to stop making him the God of video game industry. From everything I have learned about Kojima, I believe his vision for today's gaming industry is getting a little old because he's so focused on metaphors, and meanings of video games than actually making a fun game to play. For example, in DS, his main selling point was what the game is about: "Making Connections" but through fedex delivery service. Not to put on his shoes but honestly, I think DS could've been a game where you could connect timelines. For example, creating paradoxes by fighting battles in the past to change the future. Something like that. But not just a boring game where there's almost no fighting, but deliverying packages. Sorry for the rambling but that's my two cents on this issue.

So here's how I see this, and I'm speaking as a lifelong fan of this series, started with MGS1 when I was 6 years old.
Personally, I think there's no possible way Kojima will ever go back to Konami after the sheer disrespect they dealt him. He produced arguably their most successful and beloved series and in the end as soon as they felt they didn't need him anymore they threw him out like trash. Konami doesn't deserve his return and I don't think he could ever be comfortable working there again.
That said, since a lot of the people he was beefing with are no longer at Konami (even the CEO is gone now) he may be open to contractual consulting work for them, perhaps assisting with the writing and story or overseeing the development of some new gameplay mechanics or letting them use a new engine of his.
If Konami asks for his help and he has the time and they're willing to pay him I can maybe see some light involvement from him but his days directing Metal Gear are over.

Kojima might be tired of making new Metal Gear games, but it doesn't mean others can't do it in his place. The man's got a unique vision, no question there, but he's not the only one. It comes down to whether if someone can come close to match his vision, maybe even exceed it.
Like Final Fantasy for example, it's doing just fine even long after Sakaguchi's departure from Square Enix. Just because the original IP creator wants nothing more to do with their creation doesn't mean it's the end of the world for it.

Metal gear is not applicable in konamis hands I dont care how far you argue it the story was built and framed from an early 90s to late 2000s vision specifically tied to kojima.
If you think a remaster in konami's hands has half the original identity, premise, and themes without kojima you're just coping, forgetting with how badly konami treated kojima around the time of mgsV and why that specific reason is tied to mgsV being an incomplete mess when konami forced kojima out and retconned half the game and story...

Kojima himself said multiple times that he didn't want to work with Metal Gear anymore since MGS2, so SINCE THEN the franchise should've been at the hands of others, these people are just so out of their minds to the point where they even sent DEATH THREATS to him, because they wanted MGS4. 🤦🏻
If you like Kojima that much, WHY DON'T YOU SUPPORT THE GAMES HE'S MAKING RIGHT NOW?! Bro he's working at 3 major projects, one of them even being the spiritual successor of Metal Gear, so dude, why do you keep bitching around just because he's not involved with the franchise anymore? It's a 1 to 1 recreation.. So it's cool.. Same game , just newer graphics. It's basically a glorified remaster

Portable Ops and MGR both show you can get good Metal Gear games without Kojima. The problem with why it's harder to do that now, isn't because Kojima is gone. Because Kojima couldn't make good Metal Gear games later on either for the same reason. MGS4 was the ending. Metal Gear is over and done. And remakes aren't the answer either. 99% of video game remakes are terrible. The few examples of good remakes are always remakes made by the original creator, because the original creator is the only one who can respect the work that went into the game. Look at every Bluepoint remake/remaster. Developers do not respect something they themselves didn't work on. They feel they have to make THEIR version of that game rather than an improved version of someone else's vision. We can already see that with MGS3R with the lack of any artstyle. "oH bUt ThErE's A fIlTer" and it looks terrible. MGS3 was not simply throwing a filter over a game and calling it a day, it's not that simple. Same as why Demon's Souls remake's filter doesn't work either.
The best thing any game series can get isn't a remake or a remaster. It's preservation. There's a reason remakes of paintings, movies, etc all get scrutanized rightly so and have their originals remembered. Gamers want video games to be recognized as art, as it is, but only because they want their hobby to be recognized. But those same gamers don't treat video games like art either, they still only treat it like a product.

Metal Gear without Kojima is like Star Wars without George Lucas. It just doesn't work. It's not that everything they bring on table is a flawless masterpiece. The prequel trilogy was divisive as all hell and not everyone loves MGS V(which ironically was also part of a prequel trilogy) and Death Stranding. But the thing is their vision can't be replicated by anyone else. There is a good reason why everyone hated MG Survive but MGS 3 "Remake" has a lot of good will with it. Because it doesn't try to continue the story of the franchise, it just retells the same story that Kojima told 20 years ago. All the examples that you provided are spin-offs not mainline entries and none of them comes close to Kojima-directed games. So i don't think Konami will continue the story, instead they will concenterate on making remake/remastered games which is a good thing imo.

Kojima is not a good storyteller. There, it needed to be said. The stories for his last two games were nonsensical. I was embarrassed to even sit in front of the TV watching the phantom pain and death stranding. The trailer for Death stranding 2 is ridiculous. His game designs and Innovative (though not quite complete) game systems are enough to deal with these lousy stories, but he offends me with those stupid plots.

No! Listen It's not time to move on, And I think you're failing to understand the reason why some fans are upset, I'm not upset That kajima is not making this game, He didn't move on He was fired, There's a couple of times in your video where you said he left the company He didn't leave he was forced out, But that's whatever I'm upset Because he deserves credit, Konami Did not invent this game They may own the IP and they can make as many metal gear games as they wish But Kajima Deserves credit Every single time they do With a created by hideo kajima Tag I don't want it buried in the credits I want it I want it upfrontupfront It's the same crap they did When they released 5They buried his name, It's like taking more to the rings And not once mentioning JRR Tolkien The creator Deserves credit! And as a fan I will defend his credit, I'm not interested in a metal gear solid 3 remake I think the original still holds up on it's own Just because you paint it with fancy graphics And maybe some new mechanics That will probably upset the balance of the whole game Is it much of much of a selling point on me But I will not support a company That does not give it's creator Credit, All this is a giant Cash grab It's very obvious I don't support this So no I won't be moving on He is the creator of this game He deserves more credit Then he is getting My opinion Konami wants to sell this game Better to holder fans They would have least tried to reach out to him and get his involvement not in the creating process not making the game But just support And putting his name front and center, I'm happy David haters getting work He's a great talent But he's not a good enough selling point for me Kajima Deserves All the credit

We didn’t need kojima he didn’t want to make metal gear anymore for a long time, went over budget and put things in his game for shock value but ended up not doing nothing and look where it got him paid out and making boring games with Sony kojima is overrated he should have stayed in his place and kept going but when you’re one of the highest paid video game creators you tend to get a big head about it look at Todd Howard I’m glad metal gear is coming back if it was still in his hands we would’ve had never gotten another one until Konami gave him a billion dollars just to get off his butt but hey at least it’s over now he’s making boring walking games and David Hayter is back as Snake
