you're right about not needing diazepam because you can use cigarettes instead and it won't actually kill you either so you don't have to worry about your health being super low. not only that but you can run out of diazepam whereas you can't run out of cigarettes, and since your health is super low already you're not going to sacrifice health to use them.
We all know that the only consequence of smoking is the ability to see laser defense grids and a very slow drain of health that can be easily fixed by eating some rations. (Hope the Surgeon General does not play video games 😅)

To me ketchup + getting rid of Johnny would be leaving a trace (if the main bad guys didn't know you're around I mean), but the wolves would not matter

2 things. 1. You could off use the Ocoloct grenade in the canyon. No disturbance there. 2. You could off waited Grey Fox to appear to get you off the prison and quickly get the clothes and get out.
I would argue that the Ocelot grenades aren't "needed" under your definition. You're only supposed to pick up number of an item you need, no? Ocelot can be defeated without grenades, therefor you should only have grabbed the amount you needed to beat the tank. Unless I misunderstood, and you're allowed to pick up and use any number of them because they are needed for the tank. Edit: Wouldn't it be easier at the prison escape to just wait for gray fox to release you? No disturbance
god the amount of times i had to continue because of me trying to punch mantis..... te nightmare it was to track him... but i managed to do it and honestly im surprised at how many bosses are outright unpunchable, and those are; Ocelot, he literally is not phased by snakes punching Wolf, i know it should be obvious but with weapon swap on the GOG version i thought i twas possible and it is not as the second your I frames run up you're nearly stunlocked until your back behind the line. Raven, ok to be fair if you can punch the cybernetic enhanced soldier and damage him surely a wall of muscle should be punchable and much like ocelot he's not even phased by snakes punches. obviously the tank, the hind, and REX are unpunchable as if they were then i have several questions that need answering. so in short you cant beat the game using only CQC but let me tell you it was fun trying to.
It bothered me that you let the dogs notice you once you had Sniper Wolf's scarf lol. Technically they are enemies and you took them off their original routes sooo

I've been around for this long, and I've NEVER seen anyone use grenades on Ocelot. I was always worried the grenades would set off the wires.
