- Last time we did a Ghost Challenge run in Metal Gear Solid 3. Let's see if we can do the same thing with Metal Gear Solid.

to think her health bar depleted only toggles the kill barrier off, its the cutscene trigger that actually kills her and yes the trigger is active during the fight and the kill barrier is surprisingly thin compared to the comm tower one that spans the entire room.
in randomizer runs if you get box C early and card 6 then you're basically good to go as the truck is outside of the boss fight trigger but wolfs bloodstain is still there and if you proceed into the blast furnace and come back her body will be there. not to mention with weapon swap on the GOG release you can just skip the Hind, Four Horsemen 2.0, and Wolf 2 using 2 instances of the weapon swap. honestly it breaks the game but for challenge runs utilizing glitches and exploits can make them possible
This was such a good video. I can't wait to see this challenge done for the rest of the series. Maybe Twin Snakes or MGS2 Next
In the radio tower with the cameras, I have seen someone shoot the cameras with the Stinger. They creeped as close as possible to the cameras on the left side of the stairs, then aim all the way up and destroy the cameras with the splash-damage from the missile.
The "V" in MGSV is the Roman numeral for the number 5.

doood I literally just started playing mgs1 again today and I see this. Can’t wait to watch
you're right about not needing diazepam because you can use cigarettes instead and it won't actually kill you either so you don't have to worry about your health being super low. not only that but you can run out of diazepam whereas you can't run out of cigarettes, and since your health is super low already you're not going to sacrifice health to use them.
24:00, doesn't Gray Fox come to rescue you if you fail to both hide under the bed and use the ketchup? He certainly does in the good ending when you keep resisting torture.

god the amount of times i had to continue because of me trying to punch mantis..... te nightmare it was to track him... but i managed to do it and honestly im surprised at how many bosses are outright unpunchable, and those are;
Ocelot, he literally is not phased by snakes punching
Wolf, i know it should be obvious but with weapon swap on the GOG version i thought i twas possible and it is not as the second your I frames run up you're nearly stunlocked until your back behind the line.
Raven, ok to be fair if you can punch the cybernetic enhanced soldier and damage him surely a wall of muscle should be punchable and much like ocelot he's not even phased by snakes punches.
obviously the tank, the hind, and REX are unpunchable as if they were then i have several questions that need answering. so in short you cant beat the game using only CQC but let me tell you it was fun trying to.
I've been around for this long, and I've NEVER seen anyone use grenades on Ocelot. I was always worried the grenades would set off the wires.
I will just use Stealth Camo and called it a day

You should've waited for the ninja to rescue you in the cell, so you didin't have to kill Johnny ...
Johnny will know that you are escaping if you waited for the ninja. So it’s better to kill him without him realizing it.

It's quite challenging to me when playing Twin Snakes. But I can never beat the Game as a Ghost.
the cutscene before the ninja fight freaked me out as a kid hahaha, i was like 9 when i got the game
Am I missing anything? The elevator? doesn't open after I fight ocelot, am I softlocked?

To me ketchup + getting rid of Johnny would be leaving a trace (if the main bad guys didn't know you're around I mean), but the wolves would not matter

I could do that, but decided not to for a more challenging run.
how did you just run through the lasers? (before the first raven encounter)
Timing is the key. There is a very small window that will allow you to cut through without stopping.
