Sure you can check the transmission fluid the dipstick is right below the antifreeze reservoir that you were touching or you took the top off of it's just a tight space
I have a Nissan 2013 Sentra with 155k mileage. Do you think it is advisable to drain and refill my transmission fluid? I haven’t done in 2 years and the Nissan dealership doesn’t recommend it due to slippage.
You could do a 1/2 change To prevent slippage, replacing the fluid with all new can cause the CVT to jerk or slip more, but a half change with a new filter is the best bet if your looking to change it. You could also add like a transmission additive like a Lucas treatment to help. the dealership might not recommend it because they would do a full change and possibly flush the system and without the extra grip of the old oil, it can cause the transmission to slip more and damage it or reveal issues that you didn’t have before. It’s hard to tell I have a 2013 Nissan Sentra with 155,000 miles on it as well and there’s no dipstick to tell you what the quality of the transmission fluid is which makes deciding whether or not to do it a little more difficult. If the fluid is dirty burnt or low and doesn’t have any metal shavings in it then adding some transmission fluid or doing a half change and replacing the filter could help. The manufacturer recommendation is every 30 to 60 K Miles. So if you’re above that since your last transmission fluid check or change and you’re having issues, I would definitely look into it some more. The only thing you can do is have them look at it again or to jack it up and see what’s going on inside the pan and then make your decision from there. Having it changed or looked at it again is probably a couple hundred dollars and a new transmission is probably 3K.
Thank you, that was so helpful!! Can you please answer a question? I have a 2017 Nissan Sentra SV and I replaced the brakes and rotors mid November, and they’re already bad again. What could be the cause of this? I’ve never had a car where I’ve had to replace brakes within 4 months again! Help!
you can ask the person who works there. give them your car's make and model and engine size maybe. I always do that and they help me with that for free of cost.
Why do you people listen to TH-cam or’s. You can check the transmission fluid on this vehicle. There’s a fill plug and drain plug on the bottom of the transmission.
4:45 dude i just changed my cv axles and need to know if i need to top off my coolant just let me know where the transmission tank is on this car from hell lmao Some guy said u can open it with a flat head
1. Check engine oil it should be clear brown. Dark brown needs a change. 2 .Coolant 3. Windshield washer fluid 4. Brake fluid Others things you should get a mechanic. Not recommended to do it yourself
Its not easy to check the coolant level for this Sentra as its very deep and its very hard to see the level and colour of the colant ..its very hard compare to other cars where bottle is clearly visible..please five some tips to check the collant level?
Just open up the radiator cap when car is cold. Fluid should be all the way up to the radiator cap. The reservoir is just extra fluid when car warms up. You should also see the blue coolant at the reservoir when removing the cap. The reservoir does have an overflow hole in case you overfill it.
And the trans fluid ...and the freon? How do you check freon??? Why state in the video description you are going to show trans fluid check and freon check if you know damn well you're not going to do either???
@@lard1892 Transmission is sealed, he said only mechanics should check transmission fluid, it is tricky. He said you cannot easily check freon, only mechanics can check this, likely you need specialized tools and equipment, you don't want to bleed system
What happened to the transmission oil check?? that’s the reason I’m here it says on your cover oil and Fluid,, if you’re not gonna be thorough Quit acting like you know what the hell you’re doing because you don’t
If you were paying close attention he said you can’t access it because there isn’t a transmission fluid dip stuck means you can’t check how much or put it in without taking it to a mechanic I know because I’m got a 2019 Nissan Sentra
I'm on the side of the road learning soo much

Transmission oil?
Nissan doesn’t want their customers to change transmission fluid on their vehicles. Complete BS.

Did you replace them again? Was it done properly the first time around? Maybe the slide pins weren't cleaned and greased properly.
Very nice elaborated
Does this video work the same on a Nissan Sentra 2016 SL?
I subscribed as soon as you called the oil coca-cola vs apple juice.
Brake fluid low is not necessarily leaking. Brake fluid naturally gets low as the brakes wear.
GOOD REVIEW & GOOD CAR.
