    Some may say this is basic info, but so many new campers heading out find theses type of videos so helpful. Great video just found this channel.

      Yet, one of the challenges with this "basic info' is there are so many different systems. For example, in this video, he made no mention of a city water bypass valve. Not properly adjusting the valve could result in serious damage to certain RVs when connecting to city water.

    OK, this is probably the dumbest question ever but... after you're hooked up do you just leave the water running? Keep on only when you're actively using water? I'm sorry this is such a dumb question. Lol

      Not a stupid question. I’m new to this and wondering same thing😂

      @np984 camped this wknd for the first 'real' trip. Good times! Lots of written but it went well. :) once you're connected to your faucet, regulator, filter, fresh water hose to the camper, ensure the switch is fully on city water. Turn on the faucet and voila- internal plumping works! Leave it on for the entire time you're hooked up - I turned it off at the faucet when we were not insite though, just in case something crazy happened. Lol. When ready to leave the site, turn off water at the faucet, unplug all your water accessories, and that's it. :)

    I use a 45° angle fitting with a shut-off valve on the end before the RV connection... it works well for spraying off things and helps avoid that face-full of water when disconnecting

      Correct, it's optional. In an effort to keep these videos and short as possible I did not include that step, however for those that are interested it's as simple as attaching it inline. Thanks for watching.

    How do you use water filter on Potable Water/Tank Fill connection?

    • @VogtRVWorld
      @VogtRVWorld  ปีที่แล้ว

      Good question. I depends on how your unit is plumbed but generally speaking you would want to filter the water going into the potable water tank. -Mike

    I connected my water hose to my RV and it's just not letting water in. Totally weird. There's a watchumcallit inside at connection. Not sure if that has something to do with it. We've been living off the the holding tank... But it does water out. . we keep refilling the holding tank every day. Plz help 😢

    Does your city water hookup full the tank?

  • @ryannies3926
    @ryannies3926 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    My 2022 jayco has a "city water connection" on both my city and fresh water. Therefore, I can't just slide my water hose in my fresh water tank, is that normal?

    • @VogtRVWorld
      @VogtRVWorld  ปีที่แล้ว

      That's interesting - I've noticed that on a few select models, both Jayco and other brands. I assume the reason for that is because the fresh water tank is located where filling it by gravity isn't practical and it therefore a pressurized fill. Appreciate your comments. -Mike
