Met my wife in DR 2 years ago. Married last April and found a beautiful apartment in Santo Domingo este. My rent and utilities and a month worth of food are $607. In America, the same situation is almost $3,000. I'll be moving to Santo Domingo este beginning of December permanently. The quality of life is better than America. My neighbors is good i walk freely with no problems, at night in don't walk I drive not to risk anything other than that I love DR folks see me and know I'm American and have made me felt welcome. I'll take what DR has over what America has become and will become with trump in office. Thank you for the video and your time, sir.

America will be fine with Trump in office. We Dominicans love Trump and a lot of us voted for him. But I agree, I love this over the current state of the US

@stizz_ai_eth you need to put the crack pipe down. How fast folks forgot trump failed last presidency. I live in your beautiful country. If you did research, trump is banned from many places, including the Dominican Republic 🇩🇴 fool. Yes, folks have expressed their thoughts, and no one likes him here. He has done nothing for folks of color but takes away from us or got rid of policies that help us. Out of all ethnic groups, your country just got done with dictatorship not too long ago idiot 🙄.

Here are some reason to live here. Those being me has an American living here for 10 years now.
1- corruption, buy your favors if needed.
2- dollars go far as prices are higher here for basic stuff.
3- move to an isolated community of you don’t like the noise and motorists.
4- even though Dominicans copy everything from US , i ain’t never seen a bomb go off, or a school shooting etc..
    My ten cents 🙏

Everything depends on where you live. I have lived on the North Coast in Sosua. for eight years. As an American, I feel totally safe here. The Dominican people are very kind and helpful. Everything is cheap, compared to the US. I spend less than half of my Social Security on an average month. I intend to live the rest of my life in the DR. I cannot speak regarding the capital. I would assume you have the same issues that you have in big cities worldwide.

I don’t agree with pickpocketing outside of the resorts. My ex husband was white and lived in Santo Domingo with me and he was never robbed. The key is not to show you have money or show your possessions. That is what put people at risk of being robbed. Actually, a lot of robberies happen because peopke are bragging about their income, social status, etc.
