If you have mold it's a bad construction problem due to lack of proper material used. I'm from Jamaica and our homes legally have to be made from cement, sand and steel. The sand has to be a certain kind and the cement mixture has to be a certain consistency. Buildings done to code never has mold. It seems your state not holding builders accountable. It can cause respiratory issues.
@@TheDominicanRoute it seems the DR has poorly constructed homes. Mold should not happen if they use the right kind of cement mix with the proper sand. Jamaica has some of the best concrete homes in the Caribbean and they don't get mold. The climate is the same as the DR. Mold can cause respiratory issues. If it's on your stuff it's getting into your body. You can't see it. That's probably why the place is so cheap. How did it pass building inspection If there was one.

Yo seriously, U and I have the same attitude. I like your vibe, we just don't give AF. U got yourself a new subscriber with me. 👍 PS: I never leave comments but it iz what it iz.
The main idea of moving abroad is to minimize your expenses while living a more comfortable life. Im hoping you are living in Punta Cana or some other nice areas because for 5k, I will stay in the states.
I may stay here forever in this spot . I’m so comfortable here and Happy . I’m hoping you realize one day Your opinion is not everyone’s . Stay in the states 🙌🏽 . I may still live here after I have millions . Happiness is within not A Punta Cana or Las Vegas Upscale 💪🏽 Thanks for you comment I’m happy as Shit !
The 5k is a one-time payment to invest into the property you live in. From then on, it's $350 a month. In NC, renting a 3 bedroom in crappy condition is $1500 easy. Sure you can find cheaper but it might be worse living conditions. Jersey 3 bedroom apartment rent is about 3k in the hood. Sure, you might find it for 2k, but you get the idea. You can't beat $350 a month
Thank you so much for your kind words we are working hard on getting better and better every year. Two deposits and first months rent that’s how it usually is. And credit checks it depends on the apartment complex store Owner some check some don’t.
Brother dont discourage people saying $5000 you need to live in DR that amount of money is to live in cities like NY or LA i am sure you can live in DR for less than that and you will save money from your pension to do or buy anything.😊😅😂 Blessings!
Spot on… our apartment came with nothing, not even lightbulbs 😅… I have a 3/2 in Cuidad Real 2, Santo Domingo near Patio Columbia. We pay $400 month. You we exactly right about having to buy all appliances, ac’s, hot water heater and furniture. You told me $15k when we talked last year for everything including 3 rents upfront. If I was to guess, I would say around 12k? I will try to total everything. Anyway spot on video…
What's wild, I came across a new construction apartment adverted as a long term rental. In the video, I noticed there were no appliances in the kitchen. Dude, what's the deal on kitchen appliances. "Yeah, you are required to provide, customized to what you like." I'm thinking to myself, who the hell travels with a damn fridge? Seems common practice out there. I need to double check my purchase contract to ensure appliances are included. Believe it or not, Germany is even worse. Your kitchen is an empty space. Not only must your provide appliances, but cabinets and countertops also. When you get your a/c, mold will no longer be a problem. Keep the closet door open and let the cold air circulate throughout your apartment. This will eliminate the moisture. Ensure you get units with a dehumidifier feature. For days when cold air is not needed but you still want to reduce the humidity. Thanks for the video Homie.
Excellent info! I’ll be buying that moisture eliminator for sure. Just don’t think i can do it overseas though ( different type of lifestyle and security plus I think convenience)

You are a near neighbor. My wife takes me past that water tower when she picks me up from the airport. Our place is not far from the Air Force Base off of Autopista Rafael Dominguez.
Awesome Hello Neighbor . Thanks so much for Following and your comment. Yes I know what area you are speaking of you all have the Christmas lights over there every year. 🙌🏽🎉
@TheDominicanRoute I myself am American, and my wife of nearly two years is Dominican. My wife lived in Boca Chica when I met and married her. Her son joined the Air Force, and she wanted to live close to the base so that she could drop him off and pick him up when he went on or came off of duty. They took me to see the Christmas lights on base last year. Unfortunately, my visit this year is short, and we won't be seeing the lights this year. I want to bring my wife to the States for a couple of years until I retire from my work, then move back to the D.R. to enjoy retirement.
Having the gas supply u safely installed, its worrying. That should be in a secluded enclosure with a roof and locked access. As a Dominican i don't trust that. The other thing is that water heater. Very worrying that open flame, with pipes running close to the batteries, plus the C02. That's a portable water heater BTW.. Very poorly installed... 😢😢
Thanks for your positive comment . I’ll get a Detector. Good thing is I have emergency cutoff and these homes never burn 🔥 down 🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾 . Thanks for your comment
That is a great question but 1. mostly it is two deposits and first months rent . 2. Some places do credit checks some places don’t do credit checks depending on what agency or owner you go through. 3. Two deposits and first month rent.
Don’t forget to tell viewers that if you overstay you will have to pay money to get on the plane to leave Dominican Republic if you cannot pay you cannot leave so yes if you plan on long time stay and when you want to leave you will be extorted coming is easy leaving is costly
Thank you very much . The one before we had to share water. 💦 and it ran out very fast. Also, we lived in a regular Dominican area. They played music until 3 o’clock in the morning. 😫 loud.
Can you recommend a realtor are someone to help me find a rental upon my arrival. I know your wife is from there and speaks the language and knows the cities and layout. But I'll be arriving knowing nothing and nobody. Thanks
@TheDominicanRoute it will also lower your AC rates because we actually are physically cooler when theres less humidity in the house and we won't have the urge to turn it on also the unit doesn't have to work as hard.
My First time seeing your Channel, Hope its successful. I had SMP done to my Scalp as well in NYC. Do they offer that in The DR or I need a Touch up in The States? 2. Do you offer Consultations?
I appreciate your video. Thinking of retiring very soon from NYC. you mentioned having $5,000 to get started, do they accept credit cards for payments?
So my question is once you install the hot water tank and you install the air conditioners do you own the home or do you rent the home and do you take your air conditioner hot water tank when you leave?
Great great question. Yes when you leave, you can take everything just like a television or a sofa in the United States just have to have it in the same condition you got it in and that is pretty easy because everything is made out of solid brick. Thanks so much for your question and supporting the channel.
Coach, I just left there November 23rd. I am looking to buy a house in Bani, I am in the process of getting my pensionado visa done before moving there totally. Your place is fabulous! And you and your wife look very genuine. I hope that me and my flaquita run into each other in April 👍🏿.

How about a miniature electric hot water heater.
Great question . I have seen those as well they work good . Just can’t take a Long shower 🚿
Nice house brother. Gett'em
Thanks so much, Brother all the best to you Ryan and your family. Thanks for watching and subscribing.
$5 bands a month seems extreme
Damn that’s 🆕 York 🌃 prices
The topic is not about $5000 a month it’s about $5000 to put into set up cost for your furniture, etc.
$5000 sounds about right . It takes about $13,000 K to rent an apartment ( a closet) in NYC
OMG 😫😫 I would have live in Tint City . 😂Thanks for Comment and Supporting the channel
You welcome , always nice to hear from you. Happy holidays to you and family.
You forget a UPS ..so your internet doesn't reset if you work on online.. important.. Good work 🤙🏾
Thanks so much. 🙏🏾🙌🏽
How do they do rentals compared to the us??
3x’s the rent??
Credit check?
1st & last months for deposit??
Etc
That is a great question but 1. mostly it is two deposits and first months rent . 2. Some places do credit checks some places don’t do credit checks depending on what agency or owner you go through. 3. Two deposits and first month rent.
@ is the deposit topically the rent amount or something lower??
Don’t forget to tell viewers that if you overstay you will have to pay money to get on the plane to leave Dominican Republic if you cannot pay you cannot leave so yes if you plan on long time stay and when you want to leave you will be extorted coming is easy leaving is costly
Yes I already did but I’ll do it again thanks so much for your comment
What is the brand name of your water heater?
Elite
Excellent video. Thank you! If I may ask why did you leave the hose you had?
Thank you very much . The one before we had to share water. 💦 and it ran out very fast. Also, we lived in a regular Dominican area. They played music until 3 o’clock in the morning. 😫 loud.
@ I meant the house you had the two floors. I think you had a businesswoman on the first floor
@ I think it was a two family house
BROOOOOO!!!!!!That is a nice pad!!!!!!
Thanks God Bless 🙏🏾 We are truly Blessed
Can you recommend a realtor are someone to help me find a rental upon my arrival. I know your wife is from there and speaks the language and knows the cities and layout. But I'll be arriving knowing nothing and nobody. Thanks

How much to live in a upscale area in Santo Domingo.
Around $ 800 and up 👍🏾
Would a dehumidifier be a worthwhile investment for you?
Thanks so much. That’s my next investment. Someone else told me the same thing. I will try it.
@TheDominicanRoute it will also lower your AC rates because we actually are physically cooler when theres less humidity in the house and we won't have the urge to turn it on also the unit doesn't have to work as hard.
Great video! So, when you leave the apartment, do you take all of the items that you had installed?
Thanks so much . Yes You take everything with you . Sell it or install it in your new home
$5K is easy. I'm all in. I'm ready to drop at least $15k to $20K. I want to be comfy.
Awesome let me know if u need help 💪🏽

do you filter drinking water or buy??
We buy all our Drinking water 💧 👍🏾
I appreciate your video. Thinking of retiring very soon from NYC. you mentioned having $5,000 to get started, do they accept credit cards for payments?
Thanks so much and yes some realtor agency do yes 👍🏾
You can live in dr comfortable with 2000 a month with your own place and car ! And save around 500 a month
Yes 🙌🏽 you can
Instead of buying an extra bed why you didn’t install an a/c unit?
Great question we got a new bed because this one is much more comfortable . A/C can wait . It’s December. The other day it was hurting my back.
This had white spots on it, but Domenga had to clean it😂😂😂😂
Exactly 😝😝😝😝💪🏽
Hi coach hope you and your family are doing ok , where to get the moisture eliminator ?
Same here I hope you all are doing well. I got mine off of Amazon. You also can go to target and get it.

@@TheDominicanRouteI want to rent a few apartments to do air bnb
Are you asking me or telling me?
Coach, I just left there November 23rd. I am looking to buy a house in Bani, I am in the process of getting my pensionado visa done before moving there totally. Your place is fabulous! And you and your wife look very genuine. I hope that me and my flaquita run into each other in April 👍🏿.
And Walter, thank you so much. I wish you all the best as well. Yes, we will definitely link up soon . Happy holidays.
5000 is not enough I spend 8 to 10k
I believe it 🙌🏽 I’m just speaking on the low end my budget 🤣and a lot of others 🤣. I have seen people come here and get their apartment and only have $800 left . They had to get an ice cooler and a blowup bed until the next check . 🤣🤣🤣🙌🏽 thanks for your comment. Thanks for watching. Happy holidays🎉.
@@TheDominicanRoutetrust me it took me one year to furnished my three bedroom apartment. The last thing I bought was air condition. It's no joke It's expensive because I didn't want to buy something that only lasted for a year. And now I can move anywhere in a empty apartment and cheaper
How far are those aparments from the downtown? Can u get a taxi and uber?
From downtown it’s about 20 minutes no traffic 40 minutes with traffic and yes, you can take a Uber or a taxi or a bus
30 minutes and yes, you can take a taxi or Uber
@@TheDominicanRoute Many thanks, look forward to visiting soon.
