GameStop is doing what they can to survive. The days of making a sustainable profit only selling physical games are over. I would say that if they are going the way of selling collectibles, then they need to go all in on that.
I did not expect to see them selling 360 games. It honestly sucks that the Gamestop retro "Stores" are just a single shelf in their normal stores rather than a separate store location full of old games.
I miss going to gamestop, you use to could buy a game an return it within 7 days if you didn't like it, I would beat the game or play till I ran out of time an return it for a different game an repeat, free gaming in the old days.
The problem is less than a third of the store is video games. Now most shelf space is reserved for random anime or anime adjacent stuff or other various trinkets that no one is going into a gamestop to buy. Then the register happens: They tried to sell you free dlc on gears 4. (All levels are free after its last update and you are only missing a small exp boost). You're already a pro member, if you weren't, they'd have made you say no 5 times to joining the program before they would let you check out.
Sad times same as Uk with GAME no official game stores left. Loved going in to have a quick game on kiosk and check out new and great used deals. Nothing quite like it Will miss the day when we all go digital for everything
i used to live in UK back in 2004-2005,Game was my favorite store i remember going to it early in the morning to get games on release day, games like Gran Turismo 4 and Resident Evil 4!Good times.
Game stop the most nostalgic place on earth I would go when I was a kid and my dad told me only chose a few Ps2 games from the used section and I couldn’t be anymore more happy now that I’m 28 and ballin I go back from time to time to buy things and just put them up on my gaming shelves in the man cave as trophy’s stuck in the past when it comes to video games game boy color game boy advance sp Nintendo 64 you name it that’s how I started now it’s Xbox series X the switch some shii dosent change it just gets better with time to bad this has to end one day
@ both I live in a small city in Kansas a place name dodge city the game stop I would go to would be a hour away in a city name Garden and yea another gem was Hastings that place was amazing closed when I was in highschool
I don't like when I see talentless clowns make their little prank videos on GameStop and say the employees are miserable etc with the comments backing them up. The world is super negative today, abut at the same time 99% +of these dudes online randomly insulting others will never get on video chat for a roast battle against me
"Would you like a 2 year protection plan?" 😂 Love that one
Working at EBGames in 2005-06 was a fun job.
I visit my gamestop once every couple months. I always find older 360 games that i buy and play on my xbox one
Over half the store isn’t even freaking videogames!
maybe because half of the gamer community are buying digital products :D
beats the UK, GAME has like 2 shelves of games, rest is random tat.
@@QyranthYou’re correct, but I would say it’s a lot more than half.

Yeah reminds me of how they were before the pandemic.

Same! Free rentals. I would beat them quick also and swap out 😂
Man I used to do that with so many games back in the Xbox 360 days. Takes me back to the good old days of gaming
Can’t wait to visit this video in 10 years even tho you recorded it like if it’s 2008

How is this store still in business?
Bc it still make money dummy
My thoughts exact..
Cool video
Did you catch any issues of their discontinued magazine in there? Could be a hot collector item
I didn't see any. However, I do have many of their magazines from 2017, including two from this year. Maybe I will make a video on them.
1:13 I'm afraid to ask what a GameStop branded keyboard would be like.
About to visit a GameStop also in 2024 since a while now
Half the store is THC vapes
Sorry y'all this comment made no sense

Everything in the store is misaligned…🤣
