Coming back to this video, guhhh. I want to try both the Prestige LTD and the Monarch MK3. I don’t think I could really determine which I’d prefer, especially owning a Xenns Top already. I think I would want something different, but I wouldn’t want to pass up spectacular bass, which the Monarch MK3 seems to have.
Thanks Fresh! Fantastic IEM for gamers, but the cost is steep. Appreciate the insightful review. Sadly, can't afford it at the moment. Keep up the great work!
I'm glad I've found your channel. How I was not subscribed yet? This is exactly what I was looking for. I was between Monarch Mk3 and Prestige LTD for music AND gaming. Most channels talk exclusively about one or another, your channel talk about both and the ones I was interested, very very nice. It helped me, thanks! 😁
Great review! And can you give a quick comparision of what each does better than the other xenns top vs monarch mk3 (soundstage, details, resolution, imaging, etc) for music listening only.
Another excellent review Sir! I can't THANK you enough for recommending the Yanyin Canon II. In my opinion its vastly superior in sound quality in game compared to my old and broken Vulkans. The Vulkans triggers my migraine for some strange reason. Another question Sir. Are the Monarch MK3 a step up in sound quality in game compare to the Yanyin Canon II? Because I'm curious about the electrostatic technology. I've been following Crinacle and according to him (for music not gaming) electrostatic does not really add anything to sound, you can't hear any difference. Thank you again, I'm always looking forward for the next iem review. Keep up the awesome work.
i love watching ya vids, but when i checked the price i was like whelp ain't no need to keep looking cause I'm damn sure not spending that much on headphones. lol
Thieaudio- Monarch MKIII was my true favorite IEM until I got in the Effect Audio- Gaea! I think it wins on every level and is way better on female vocals. You should give it a try.
Hello Fresh Reviews, new fan of your channel and I have been binge-watching a lot of your videos, I had a question regarding IEM , do I need a dac/amp? I know with headphone people highly recommend it if you are getting a fancy headset but with IEM also are they the same? I am new to audio side of youtube. I guess my question is would I need a DAC or IEM if my IEM range is from Yanyin Cannon 2 to Monarch MK3, i.e (Mid to High end)
Great reviews man! I bought the Truthear Zeros and Tygr 300r based on your reviews and really enjoy them both. I am very new to IEMs/hi-fi audio. If you had to say, what percentage of the way does the Zero get to these MK3s?
As someone with expensive and cheap iems there is literally no reason to spend 1k on iems strictly for gaming. The solid budget options will do you just fine. The only way to justify a purchase like this is if you’re buying them for music, movies, etc. in addition to gaming. If you just need a solid iem for clicking heads get something from the budget or mid range list.
I still have my MK2s and the shell is definitely a source of pain but the musicality of it was unbeatable. When gaming with them I found the soundstage to only present in front of you the width and precision was good but it simply wouldn't image well with audio behind me. Very curious to try these now. Sounds like it fixes both problems I had with the MK2s.
The only thing i hate with iems is when u talk ur voice resonates so much in ur own head, is this also the case with open back iems ? Like the raptgo hook x Much love nice review
Yo fresh thank you for all these reviews for gaming iems. I bought Yanyin canon2 based on ur review and it far exceeded my expectations for its capabilities to capture the precise location and the resolution of the ambient sound. I wonder if it is worthy to upgrade to Monarch MKiii from YY canon 2. YY canon2 functions so well as a gaming iem but i’m still looking for a bit of more edge in the resolution/locational accuracy/ambience/etc. Does Monarch mkiii have that bit of clear edge over YY canon2 in your opinion? Only gripe i have with YYC2 is a bit of heavy bass boosted sound. It gets a bit tiresome overtime. Many thanks!
@FreshReviewsYT have you tried the thieaudio hype 2? For about 300$ they call it the baby monarch mk2. I only heard a sound demo which isnt the most accurate thing but still, i liked the sound signature and i wonder if theyre good for gaming. I was saving for the xenns top but idk if i prefer the warmer sound the hype 2 provide.
Hi Fresh! huge fan of your content, I discovered you like a month ago. For competitive gaming how much of an upgrade would it be if i bought the Monarch 3 instead of Yanyin Canon 2? I can afford the Monarch 3 but i want to avoid unncecesary spending. Would you say its a 20% or 30% upgrade? etc..
Thanks now i gotta sell my mkii and upgrade… My problem with the current model is that it’s amazing but it doesnt suit my library as best it could because it lacks midbass
Tempted to splurge on this because it sounds like a blast, but I’ve never owned an IEM before, nor do I know my preferred sound signature. I wish there was a store I could visit to give these a spin. 😅 Is there a good way to determine if an IEM will fit your ear shape? I haven’t had great luck with a lot of basic earbuds.
Why havent you compared it to GL AMT 16? I think you must compare them both for they are both in ur “HIGH END” Category right? Havent heard the GL AMT16 on this vid.
To be honest my head was spinning from testing different ear tips in different games for what felt like 20+ hours so I limited the review to this and the prestige, both being new and in the same family it seemed more important. what I can say is I prefer the tuning of the mk3 more. But the AMT is a very unique experience still.

Disregarding the massive price difference, Is this Monarch mk3 much better than Simgot EA1000? In areas of clarity, separation, 3-dimensional airy sound in the treble, spacious and smoother but brighter sounding treble?
Hey Fresh, have you ever tied the spinfit w1's with these? I recently got a pair and have been trying to find the best tips... will try the sednaearfit lights soon.
Have good weekend:)Are you going to review simgot EM6L??Your input on this set for gaming would be helpful..Simgot actually saying great for gaming 🤷♂️
If they made this in a CIEM, i’d get a pair in a heartbeat, but theres no way I’d spend over $600 on a set of IEMs that aren’t custom molded, not when stuff like the EJ07 exist
Any other aftermarket tips other than the sednaearfit light's and the comply's you'd recommend? They all seem to be either sold out or won't ship to my country unfortunately. (mostly gaming here)
Great review thanks! I have owned the MK2 for about 2 weeks but had to let it go due to the fitting issue. Glad that they adjusted it and also the new faceplate design, love it. Can’t wait to try it, currently using UM Mest MK2.
i own the mest-ii as well, the only reason that kept me away from the monark is the size. the mest-ii is so comfy for me. wonder how the iii gonan fit.
You don’t, for instance you could easily rock out to them with an apple dongle on your phone. But for pc gaming I highly recommend a nice amp dac to power them. Cleaner better power and a more efficient dac = win
I want these......might get these as my endgame. gotta wait for some more reviews and pick a faceplate.....just got the dunu sa6 mk2 a month ago aswell....damn what a hobby this is :P
Hi Fresh, I just bought these per our previous conversation with your affiliate link :D quick question, I am looking at the YuLong DA11 ES9038PRO for the DAC/AMP combo. A bit pricey but want to do these IEMs justice. Does this look solid and is it compatible? Thanks!
Seems like it should be great! Don’t necessarily have to go that expensive though! I would check it sound news or passion for sound have tested it and have reviews for it. Unfortunately I haven’t tried the unit personally
@@FreshReviewsYTI couldn't find a review but I don't see any red flags other than the price (plus I love that it comes in red). Do you have any personal recommendations for DAC/amp for the MKIIIs?
They're IEMs man, why would you buy 5 watt amp for a thing you can drive with apple dongle or straight from phone jack. 😂 geez louise. Even couple hundred milliwats are capable of blowing these up. You really need to study how headphone amplifiers and DACs works if you think you need DA11 for iems.
Hey Fresh! Love your content, man. 🔥 I've been following your reviews for a while now, and I think it would be amazing if you could do a review on the Meze 99 Classics for gaming. I've heard great things about their sound quality and comfort, and I'm curious to know how they perform in competitive scenarios. Keep up the fantastic work, and looking forward to seeing more awesome reviews from you.
If you are looking for competitive gaming and positional audio, definitely not the way. If it's casual gaming and for more sound effects, OST type stuff, then definitely.
I'm between this and the 64Audio U4S.... What are your thoughts? I'm looking mainly for a more diverse/universal IEM. I listen to a lot of hip hop, atl rock, ambient, electronic, punk music.
do you use dolby atmos headphone or any other form of channel virtualization for competitive gaming or do you just stick with stereo? Also, could you recommend a DAC/AMP that supports Dolby Atmos Headphone compatibility? Thank you
@@FreshReviewsYT So even with just stereo you feel that you're getting excellent front and back queue placement? That's amazing. I never experienced that on stereo. I always relied on DSP so that in games I could set it to 7.1 instead of Stereo or Headphone which would ultimately give me that front and back channel distinction. I suppose some games, when set to headphone, already come with the built in surround sound that simulates front and back channel. I would definitely prefer to run my IEM in stereo mode since Dolby Atmos Headphone runs in 16bit per channel and I'm simply not a fan of that.
Great review! might be an idea to almost create a separate tier list for products that fall into the category of "money is no object" than a tier list where price to perfromance ratio is still kept in check.
How do these stack up to the GoldPlanar 16s that you have ranked as #1? I'm either going to get this or the GoldPlanar 16s, but I'm curious on your final two cents comparing the two IEMs
@@FreshReviewsYT more special in the sense that it feels more unique because there's less of them out there/the unboxing process? I guess in terms of sheer performance for CS and Valorant, money aside, are the GoldPlanars substantially better? Not to say the Monarch's aren't great. I really enjoy the colors on the Monarch, but if the GoldPlanars are noticeably better for FPS, I would make the purchase. Any feedback would be much appreciated. Thank you as always!
Despite the high price point, would you say its good value for money, or would the xenns top or orchestra lite for example be better value for money (excluding budget IEMs)? In other words, are they worth the big price difference?
God damn i was eyeing the mk2 for a while but with it being bad for gaming kinda turned me off as I wanted an all in one solution for my iem This review makes me wanna spend some money and I just recently bought hifiman arya and my wallet is not prepared 😂😂
Could you compare imaging and sound stage when compared to orchestra lites? I love my lites and am interested in these but is it a huge difference especially in games like battlefield and EFT.
How do you feel about the Truthear x Crin Zero OG vs TinHiFi T2/Tin T3? I've been hearing a lot about the T2 but unsure about the T3. My goal is to just play valorant mainly with the iem of choice.
Hey I just bought these I’ve been using the kiwi lite. Do you think you hear more on Apex with the kiwi lite since there is hardly any bass. Also what’s a good budget dac to push the mk3 I’ve been trying to see which one I hear more gaming cues between the 2
I have a question about the monarch's fit for Fresh or any1 that has it, since a lot of other reviews mentions its beefy size and I have a rather small to medium ears. In comparison, I have the crin zero OG and it fits nicely for me with no pain and that is an IEM on the larger side as well.
I thought my end game was Maestro SE, but had serious fit issue and ear pressure issue. So was looking for an alternative. Is MK3 similar fit like Xenns Up?
Nice and ergonomic like the top but the shell is larger in width. For me they’re just as comfortable as the top but I’m not sure how they would be for others. That’s unfortunate to hear about the maestro also. I’ve had my eye on those
Hey how do they compare to the HiFiman Arya Oraganic or something else in this price bracket? I have this headphone and I’m wondering if it’s sounds better then this?
I actually just bought the mangrid tops to upgrade from my moondrop katos so hopefully it’s a decent upgrade. Idk if I could justify the price of these ones tho lol
I just purchased the Xenns mangird top today. I'm upgrading from Truthear Zero. What ear tips are you going to use. @freshReviewsYT what tips do you use with link
@@FreshReviewsYT for sure imma check out the tops once they come in. I’m pretty hype I was between the kiwi lite and the tops but I feel like I’d want more bass so I went with the tops

The one thing that should help me out is the proof of delivery picture the driver took shows my package was left at the wrong address. I'm going to be mad if I have to take a 530 dollar loss.
Whats a good IEM for 100$ or less for good imaging comp fps + immersive sound for singleplayer games? Can be over that price tho if it seems worth it. Ive tried s12 pro and was kinda disappointed in them, couldnt really pinpoint footsteps that well.
Yo fresh you are friggin awesome! We talked a few weeks ago, thanks to you I bought the orchestras for gaming purposes and I am lookin for an iem for music only (dont wanna bother gaming with a kilobuck iem). I was legit looking at the moonlight ultra last week but lack of reviews made it hard to get an idea of its sound signature, then looked for comparisons between mk3 and prestige, again for music purposes, and your review covered many questions I had regarding all 3. I know you are leaning towards gaming here but I trust your taste so I will ask anyway, for music purposes, if you have to listen to "the weekend" and similar genres, would you pick the mk3 over the prestige? I will pair it with both wa7 3rd gen (make the sound warmer) & questyle m15 for portable use. Thanks a lot, you are the reviewer we all need! Cheers mate!
@@FreshReviewsYT oof, volur looks rad ngl, to ur ears, do they justify the extra price compared to the mmk3 soundwise (bass, stage, vocals) & comfort wise? cant remember if u compared them on ur review back then :)
@@FreshReviewsYT hey couple more questions, can BTR5 drive them? And getting third party tips shipped to India where I live is very difficult and expensive so I'm considering using MK3 just with stock tips so is it worth getting it if I'm only going to use it with stock tips? I'll try to get third party tips but I just want to know that thank you!
Just for gaming? Or are you going to use it for everything. If so, if I listened to both in a store I’d personally end up buying the mk3. That’s me though
@@FreshReviewsYT I was looking to get a set for both everyday and gaming. I am in the UK and unfortunately don't have any store that provide any demo units that I know of so I relies on reviewers like you to help me make my purchasing decisions. Am guessing what I am really asking is the price to performance, are the performance difference between the Monarch Mk3 worth the Extra $400+ compare to the Xenns Top?
Diminishing returns.. the difference between the top and mkIII is not going to be huge.. it's like a 10% difference at most.. is that worth an extra 400$ to you?

Would you still consider the Gl AMT 16s to be superior compared to the MK3?
Gaming / Music
I wouldn’t say superior no. They’re both great
If it's casual gaming and for more sound effects, OST type stuff, then definitely.
how close is that base compared to the 7hz timeless base?
Im addicted to the 7hz timeless for synthwave.
I'm between this and the 64Audio U4S.... What are your thoughts? I'm looking mainly for a more diverse/universal IEM. I listen to a lot of hip hop, atl rock, ambient, electronic, punk music.
Haven’t tried the 64, but what I can say is your library seems to fit the mk3 well
do you use dolby atmos headphone or any other form of channel virtualization for competitive gaming or do you just stick with stereo? Also, could you recommend a DAC/AMP that supports Dolby Atmos Headphone compatibility? Thank you
I just use stereo
@@FreshReviewsYT So even with just stereo you feel that you're getting excellent front and back queue placement? That's amazing. I never experienced that on stereo. I always relied on DSP so that in games I could set it to 7.1 instead of Stereo or Headphone which would ultimately give me that front and back channel distinction. I suppose some games, when set to headphone, already come with the built in surround sound that simulates front and back channel. I would definitely prefer to run my IEM in stereo mode since Dolby Atmos Headphone runs in 16bit per channel and I'm simply not a fan of that.
Great review! might be an idea to almost create a separate tier list for products that fall into the category of "money is no object" than a tier list where price to perfromance ratio is still kept in check.
ill consider it, can also move the 'entry'
How do these stack up to the GoldPlanar 16s that you have ranked as #1? I'm either going to get this or the GoldPlanar 16s, but I'm curious on your final two cents comparing the two IEMs
The gold planar are much more special of an IEM. I love both though
Really depends what your needs are and budget. For me it’s worth it because I’m going to use them for a ton of music as well
God damn i was eyeing the mk2 for a while but with it being bad for gaming kinda turned me off as I wanted an all in one solution for my iem
This review makes me wanna spend some money and I just recently bought hifiman arya and my wallet is not prepared 😂😂
Could you compare imaging and sound stage when compared to orchestra lites? I love my lites and am interested in these but is it a huge difference especially in games like battlefield and EFT.
Bass would help
Do you have a link to the eartips you recommend for the mk3? Talking about the Comfy Foams.
Comply foam tips can be found on amazon for a reasonable price
@@FreshReviewsYT true, which model did you use? the 400 or 500, round or oval, etc :)?
How do you feel about the Truthear x Crin Zero OG vs TinHiFi T2/Tin T3? I've been hearing a lot about the T2 but unsure about the T3. My goal is to just play valorant mainly with the iem of choice.
Zero.
Hey I just bought these I’ve been using the kiwi lite. Do you think you hear more on Apex with the kiwi lite since there is hardly any bass. Also what’s a good budget dac to push the mk3
I’ve been trying to see which one I hear more gaming cues between the 2
The new do400 is pretty cool. I hear great things about the fiio k7 as well
I have the monarch 2 at present
I’m very happy with the sound, it’s the perfect treble for me
Mk3 treble is it fatiguing or same as mk2?
Not fatiguing at all
I have a question about the monarch's fit for Fresh or any1 that has it, since a lot of other reviews mentions its beefy size and I have a rather small to medium ears. In comparison, I have the crin zero OG and it fits nicely for me with no pain and that is an IEM on the larger side as well.
If the zero fits you should be ok
@FreshReviewsYT Just purchased the Xenns mangird top, what tips do you use.
Spinfit w1
I thought my end game was Maestro SE, but had serious fit issue and ear pressure issue. So was looking for an alternative. Is MK3 similar fit like Xenns Up?
Nice and ergonomic like the top but the shell is larger in width. For me they’re just as comfortable as the top but I’m not sure how they would be for others. That’s unfortunate to hear about the maestro also. I’ve had my eye on those
I use the KZ x HBB PR2 and was impressed for the price for gaming
hey mate, i love your videos, i'm playing mainly valorant and apex, what are the best iems for 300$ budget?
I’d suggest a little higher - Yanyin canon 2
Either the Canon 2 or the Orchestra Lite
@@FreshReviewsYT do i need a dac/amp? Right now i'm using my headset directly to the wave xlr.
Hey how do they compare to the HiFiman Arya Oraganic or something else in this price bracket?
I have this headphone and I’m wondering if it’s sounds better then this?
Haven’t used the organic
I actually just bought the mangrid tops to upgrade from my moondrop katos so hopefully it’s a decent upgrade. Idk if I could justify the price of these ones tho lol
I just purchased the Xenns mangird top today. I'm upgrading from Truthear Zero. What ear tips are you going to use. @freshReviewsYT what tips do you use with link
See how you like the top first!
@@FreshReviewsYT for sure imma check out the tops once they come in. I’m pretty hype I was between the kiwi lite and the tops but I feel like I’d want more bass so I went with the tops
@@FreshReviewsYT my Xenns mangird top was delivered two days ago. But DHL delivered them to the wrong address. Now they trying to recover my package. The one thing that should help me out is the proof of delivery picture the driver took shows my package was left at the wrong address. I'm going to be mad if I have to take a 530 dollar loss.
@@melrexmelrex update?
Hey, is it possible for us to get a list of all your dac settings in these reviews ? for instance the filter setting etc on the dx3 pro +
Default on the dx3 pro +! And when using the bifrost, default as well
I have the zen dac v2 do you use the mk3 in balanced or unbalanced
Balanced when I can.
Do you still like the Equate Plus V2? Would you still recommend it?
Yes and yes
Whats a good IEM for 100$ or less for good imaging comp fps + immersive sound for singleplayer games? Can be over that price tho if it seems worth it. Ive tried s12 pro and was kinda disappointed in them, couldnt really pinpoint footsteps that well.
Have a ton of videos about some good ones. Can also look at the description in the videos to see the up to date budget list
@@FreshReviewsYT yeah i apologize should have went through your channel more, thanks!
I definitely enjoyed the mk3 more and the nice benefit also is they ALSO slap for gaming
Thanks a lot once more!

enjoying the mmk3 to this very day!
u still using ur set or u moved to a better one up on the hifi ladder?
@@heeku_ I want them back, I let mine go when I ordered the volur
@@FreshReviewsYT
oof, volur looks rad ngl, to ur ears, do they justify the extra price compared to the mmk3 soundwise (bass, stage, vocals) & comfort wise?
cant remember if u compared them on ur review back then :)
Hey, do these sound as good as you're describing with just stock tips?
Yes of course. Gaming improves with the tips I recommend though
@@beyondtheuniverse999 I would try the stock tips first to see how you enjoy them. They’re ok, just add a little more bass
Can you review the hyperx cloud 3 next
Can you please compare these to the mk ii.. since they drop in price in the used market
Mk2 is heavier in the bass. It’s also got a shell design that is quite a bit more uncomfortable. For music the mk2 is magical
@@FreshReviewsYT Which would you say you enjoy more for music? Mk3 or Mk2 . Especially for vocals
Are the gains on the Monarch MK3 really worth the price difference from the Xenns Top?
Budget around 400$ What DAC would you recommend for DT 900 pro x and XENNS Top, I am using GSX 1200 now.
Either a schiit or topping stack
do you have discount code for mk3 ?
Do you prefer these over the Oracle MK2 for imaging?
I did
Oye, something to look forward to IF these go on sale during the fall sales...(paws crossed). Sheesh you've been smashing the reviews out my friend. Greatly appreciate your efforts and time for our benefit. 🤡 WOOF! ❤

Great review as always! Don’t tell me I need to switch away from the AMT16 already
@freshreviews how does it compare to the amt16?
@@tolgaysahin7618 sounds like a better all rounder than the amt16, amt16 is pretty meh for music.
