Hi Fresh Reviews, thanks for your awesome reviews on all the products. The gaming focus is particularly great, considering the significant differences between using headphones for music or gaming. Hey man just wondering what attributes make the Top better than the Hype 4? Is it the imaging or detail or seperation? Thanks in advance. Love your review.
Lots of people here for escape from tarkov; myself included. Also these tarkov players should be using a compressor to make tarkov less loud on the bass but im sure these headphones will still be good with a compressor.
the community aka the "freshies" want that sweet hunt showdown testing ;)) Great review. not a fan of the canons 2s bass, too light for me. hype 4 is on the wishlist now.
Hey @FreshReviewsYT what amp/dac would you recommend for around $350 or less? I’m running the Xenns tops and kiwi ears orchestra lites. For gaming use mostly only
Thank you very much for this awesome review! I was looking forward to the review of these since you mentioned the hype 4s. I currently have the Kiwi Orchestra Lite's in combination with a Schiit Magni/Modi - stack. I followed your recommendation for the Orchestra Lite and was amazed. Now I want to upgrade my audio equipment again and was wondering what your thoughts are. The new setup would primarally be used for competitive gaming (valorant, CS2) and music listening on the side (mix of various music genres). I am unsure if I should pick the Topping A90D/D90SE stack or the DX9. Leaning towards the DX9 though. Since I am undecided on the iem aswell (Hype 4 or Monarch MK3) I was hoping you could elaborate a little bit more on the differences between the two iems for the pricepoint. I am ok with spending the money on the MK3 if it is a tangible difference. I want you to get a proper kickback from Linsoul so i was wondering if there is anything I should be aware of when using your affiliate link. Thank you very much in advance for taking the time to answer and all this awesome content! You introduced me to the world of iems and I love it :) Keep it up and have a lovely weekend!
Thanks for keeping the work up and trying to provide insights on the "best" IEMs for every price range :) What is the device that you have on the left under your monitor with the knob and white light bar?
@@FreshReviewsYT Thanks a lot for the quick response! Had a look in the meantime into your setup video and saw it there! :) One question about it, is the knob only about the output volume from the microphone or is it used for audio volume? Background of my question is, I got the Fiio K9 AKM, sounds nice but would like to place it away further away from me but still would like to have a knob to control the audio :)
@@chris93r Thanks a lot, also figured out, that I wouldn't be able to control the volume of the DAC anyways with any kind of external control. So will just mount it under my desk :P
Damn I was hoping there would be a clear winner between the Canon IIs and these. I think im leaning towards Hype 4s since i listen to a lot of bass heavy genres for music.
Thank you so much for another fantastic review!! Got the Kiwi Ears Orchestra Lite recently and they're absolutely insane for Apex, I think for the MID-range wall hack category he's the one that makes more sense, since is considerably cheaper than the rest. Also Based on your reviews, I got the Artisan Raiden and again, thank you so muchhhh for this haha, what's your recommendation in mouse feets for this pad? Currently been rocking the GPX with default skates.
Awesome review. Question, is the monarch mk3 worth the money compared to these, is the a big enough difference to justify the purchase? Also, as I already own the simgots, is there enough difference to justify the price of the hype 4’s? And, any chance you go back through your list to test all on the dx9?
I'm glad the Canon II is still up a bit compared to the Hype 4. I've just bought my II's, and I would hate to see it that much outclassed 😂 Just to know, do you play Overwatch? I play it a lot, and I'm still not sure if it fits on a arena-style game sound, or if it's more open, similar to battle royales. Still, glad to see this review, and I'm glad I chose the Canon II, as I like a more tamed bass. Thanks for all the insights!
Great review. I plan to purchase either xenns Top, hype 4, or Monarch mk3. Have a few questions for music listening only: 1. In what ways is Monarch mk3 better than the hype 4? 2. In what ways is the monarch mk3 better than the xenns Top (unless you feel the xenns Top is better, but if so why) 3. Rank the 3-4hr comfort between xenns Top and Monarch mk3 (scale of 1-10 where 10 is the most comfortable)
1. Driver performance and detail. 2. The top is still better than both for gaming 3. Comfort is almost the same for me, but the top will generally be more comfortable for most.
@@FreshReviewsYT Thank you. So the Top has better imaging and soundstage. But the Monarch has better detail (not by a lot). Is that correct? For music you would go with the Monarch mk3? But most certainly the Top is better than the Hype 4 for music?
Noob question: what happened to planar magnetic type IEMs? 7 htz timeless and similar? They were all the rage a year ago but im seeing less coverage of them. They not suitable for gaming?
Nice review! Maybe I’ll roll my kiwi ears orchestra lite into the hype 4 one day. Unpopular choice, but I’d love to hear your top choice for Overwatch 2.
I just noticed that your gaming gear list in the description is not the same as the one on the "What Did I Keep at Year's End?" video specifically the mousepad category. Might need to check on it. Aside from that, nice review as always Fresh :)
I’d love to know what you think of these headphones on Warzone! Would be amazing if there was a spreadsheet breaking down preference per title/music type. I know that’s a lot of extra work but just a thought. Unreal video. Beyond happy with my canon 2s
Hey @FreshReviewsYT what is the name of the purple cable that you've attached to YanYin Canon 2 ? Also, if I already own the YanYin Canon 2 is it worth upgrading to Thieaudio Hype 4 ?
Hi, I got the Sennheiser 560S from your recommendation a couple months ago, I love them! I was looking to get into IEMS again, and I am in between this options for Gaming/Music: Hype 4, Monarch III, and the Xenns Top. Within those 3 which one is best general all-rounder in your opinion? Budget doesn't matter, my music playlists have a lot of variety, and usually oriented towards E-Sports in the gaming spectrum.
I am close to buying new IEM thanks to your reviews , i play a mix of all games but the thing that stays consistent is that i always have music in the background , from what i could gather through your reviews i was considering the Linsoul Simgot EM6L but am not sure if i should just take some more money into my hands and get the Kiwi Ears Orchestra Lite instead since both are in your WH list. What would u recommend ?
Hi Fresh Reviews, thanks for ranking all these IEMs and specfiically for FPS gaming too! :) I would've liked to get the Xenns Top, but in my country they are very difficult to get. I can however get the Kiwi Ears Orchestra Lite normally. Would you say they're good enough compared to the Xenns Top for FPS gaming, or should I just wait and see if they ever make the Xenns Top more easily available here? I'm already used to gaming with Beyerdynamic DT 1990 Pros.
@@FreshReviewsYT thanks for answering! also you cannot hear what youre saying because you cannot use the audio feedback from the wave xlr as youre using the topping?
The canon 2 sounds amazing lissening to multiple reviews but for EU this is really hard to get them! What about plugin them in? I can put the jacks into the pc or use something external?
I would love for you to test these in PUBG both Yanyin canon II & the Hype 4s ! Awesome review you made me get the kiwi lights but I sent them back and got the canon II. The lights were awesome for PUBG .
Hey Fresh, do you purely use the wave XLR to power your mic? And the streamdeck to use as a fader programn? Im currenlty using a go xlr mini and would love ot get a dedicated amp/dac stack to drive IEMs and headphones for the best experience. I wouldl love to know how you're routing everything!
I’m looking to grab a DAC/AMP set up to drive the Monarch MK3 over my GoXLR mini. Anything you would recommend? Or is the topping DX3 plus a good option?
Thanks for the review, would you put the Aful Performer 8 close to the Hype 4 and Canon 2’s in terms of depth perception, imaging and separation? I can find the Canon 2 and Performer 8 for $250-$300 on the used market, having trouble deciding which to go for.
Is it worth paying an additional £160 over Kiwi Orchestra Lite for FPS competitive gaming only or it's a bit overkill? With a focus on sound separation and precision with imaging, the bass is not as important.
Will you do review for Simgot EA500LM? Really curious to see how it would perform compared to EM6L gaming-wise since the latter is a top contender on your budget wallhack tier list. TIA!
Ive been watching your reviews and ive honestly been loving them, but one question that I have is if you‘d pick over ear over Iems / what is better? Ive only recently gotten into this, and thought making these choices would be really easy but its been really hard to decide between iems / over ears. Im currently thinking of just getting the hype 4s to game and listen to music with, but I wouldnt want to come to regret that decision if over ears ended up to be far better. Would love to hear your opinion. Thanks 🙏🏾
Hello there, your reviews have always helped me to decide my mouse and mousepad. Now I'm planning to buy and IEM for gaming. I mostly play competetive call of duty, battlefield and campaign games. My question is : 1)Which IEM will be best under 80$ 2) is Truthear X Crinacle Zero or Truthear Hexa still worth it in 2024?
Do you use any type of extension cable or aftermarket longer cables for your iems? All the iems that I have come with ones that are too short to reach my dac/amp setup. Thanks!
How do you think this compares to the Monarch Mk3? I am thinking of saving up for the Monarch, but recent reviews are telling me that Hype 4 is just 10% away from the Monarch. I am thinking of ending the IEM hobby with this purchase and I could already buy the Hype 4. However I am still thinking of saving up for "the big one".
Hello, Im in the market for IEMS that have clean audio like you describe about the kiwi orchestra, light open and airy but not bright and sharp and less bass but noticable in a way, for streaming purposes I do game and play music (ambient and destiny 2, COD) games Do you have any recommendations?
Pubg pc has a directional shooting drill in training mode. It's based on hearing gunshot coming from the correct direction and tallys the score at the end. Could be useful for getting a score to compare iems for
A wireless set of Headphone (wanted this most) or any kind TWS or gaming ones that works with PC gaming. I feel like cable are the best with AMP but I would love to owned a great gaming set with wireless capability too.
Based on your knowledge sound wise only the Hype 4 vs Harmonicdyne Zeus Elite. Is there a big enough difference that in your opinion to go one or the other for gaming?
Both are very good. I think the options between the two should boil down to your preferences for IEM vs headphone. Personally between the two, I think I’d go hype 4 personally. The hype 4 is a very special iem. Fun, great for music, And just generally bad ass in most titles. If you decide a headphone is best for you though, the Zeus elite slaps
Just got Kiwi Orchestras, have Raptgo Hook X HBB. I thought the hooks were heavenly, but the Kiwis truly are a step up for gaming. Using my Ifi Zen DAC/Zen Can Amo stack to add the base into the Kiwis. Are the Tops, Cannons, or Hypes that much of an upgrade compared? I feel like the DD would take away some of that wall hack clarity.. Thoughts? For strictly sound footsteps no immersion or music
I bought Yanyin Canons 2 a few months ago thanks to your video! i quite like them but now I'm left wondering if upgrading to XENN Tops or Hype 4 would make any sense? Mainly for playing warzone as for music i use my open backs, thanks!
They’re already so good tbh. For gaming the percentages are very close. I’d only recommend side grading if you’re really just itching for something new. I do find the tops still slightly ahead.
Hey Fresh! Jzst for curiosity, how do you like that Vaxee pad for apex? I just ordered a Gamesense Radar(2023version). Also the new Vaxee PB 2023 looks pretty good. Keep up the great work.🐐🐐
Damn, looks like this is what I'm looking at for an upgrade, if only it came in red. The monarch mkIII looks like it will do everything I want, but that cost 😭
Any recommendations for someone with tight ear canals? I watched your review of the kiwi ears orchestra lite and that made me wary of the nozzle size "issue". How is the nozzle size on these (the Hype 4)?
If you really wanna test IEM for gaming, you should review them while playing Hunt Showdown, this game is soo damn good for sound compare to AAA title like apex etc
My moondrop blessing 2's broke left earbud broke less than a year after buying them. Left earbud quieter than the right earbud. Tried troubleshooting and still doesn't work right. Smh waste of nearly $400
cod mw3s servers are so shitty id actually beg that you dont try it, been grinding on lockdown quads/warzone and holy shit, the amount of times the host server crashes out is insane, in the middle of a heated gunfight for control it all just stops and lags and the game just turns into a chat session lmao, nice to see the hype 4s are serving you well, i might upgrade from the quintets though (eithee canon 2 or hype 4) grwat video as always, hope to see more, cheers!
Great as always, would love to see Tarkov benched in some reviews! Also coming from pc37x (open backs for a decade), where should I start with IEMs to not be disappointed? EM6L? Canon/this? And what's the floor for improvement from 37x.... 900 pro x? Zeus elite? Thanks for the perfect content for a lot of us!
Just bought the Hype 4. I can't wait. I would love it if you didn't mind doing a tier list on IEMs for The Finals. I love this game. Also, as far as cables and ear tips which ones are you using?
i’m new to the iem game, so other than the IEM itself, is there certain equipment I need to pair with them to connect with my computer? or is the aux port fine?
Great review, I play Escape from tarkov, I have hard time to decide between Kiwi ears orechstra lite or Yanyin Canon 2, I don't know what would you recommend me for this kind of games.
After some tests if that can help anybody else, the orchestra lite are incredible in Tarkov, You can pin point the ennemies even from far away. The only bad point are the original tips, bad sound no bass bad imaging, I had some old Final Type E tips and that was like night and day, but they fall of very easily . I've heard some good things about the SpinFit W1 for the orchestra lite, need to try them...@@FreshReviewsYT
Do you recommend these or the Yanyin Canon II? In my country the Hype4s are about $75USD more than the Canon II. Would any of these be a good upgrade from Truthear x Crinacle Zero (Blue)? Use case would be for music and gaming
Xenns has been there for a very long time. I wonder what is going to take it down. what do you use to hear yourself in the iems when your on comms? I hate that ear plug feeling when you talk.
I look at the frequency response curve and The Hype 4 have almost the same audio curve as the Xenns Top, are these two comparable since they don't have the same config, one is a 2 DD 4 BA and the other 1 DD and 8 BA
So, in this price range, the xenns top is still king? Also, what tips do you recommend, and would the hype 4 be an upgrade from my hook x? Love the review and keep crushing it
hey man just wanted to if you still recommend the zen dac v2 for gaming? Im currently on the fiio k7 but it adds too much base and im looking for one that improves more soundstaging
Can’t thank you enough for recommending Kewi orchestra lite it is phenomenal, great job 🙏 Have you ever use Bose quite qumfort 20i !! I know it is old but what do you think about it ,and again thank you ❤
Hey I am loving your content, I love how you also take gaming into consideration when reviewing IEMs. I just had a couple of questions regarding your IEM Wallhack tier lists. How far off are the different budgets from each other? For example the number 1 in budget (em6l), how close would it be to the number 1 in mid range (xenns top)? Is there a big difference in sound positioning and sound stage? Or is it only a difference in quality?
On my tier list, the Em6l would be about a B, and the xenns top an A for competitive gameplay. For music, the spread is further for my tastes. The em6L is a great IEM.
@@issa3632 I’m working on a large spread sheet. It just got delayed because of my second child being born and being pulled in other directions with time. I promise I’ll work on getting it posted soon

Hey @FreshReviewsYT what amp/dac would you recommend for around $350 or less? I’m running the Xenns tops and kiwi ears orchestra lites. For gaming use mostly only
Well I just saw your recommendations in your description, after reading review I went with the smsl c200
You introduced me to the world of iems and I love it :)
Keep it up and have a lovely weekend!
I’d save the money and stay hype 4 over mk3. I like having an all in one unit right now. Love the dx9
@@FreshReviewsYT Thank you for taking the time to help me out!
Just bought it and can`t wait. Hope you get a good share from Linsoul :)
@@chris93r most importantly, just hope you enjoy and the recommendations I pride myself on work for you
Hyped 4 Hype 4. Most likely will get mine in early Feb but its defo worth the wait
Thanks for keeping the work up and trying to provide insights on the "best" IEMs for every price range :) What is the device that you have on the left under your monitor with the knob and white light bar?
wavexlr for a microphone
@@FreshReviewsYT Thanks a lot for the quick response! Had a look in the meantime into your setup video and saw it there! :) One question about it, is the knob only about the output volume from the microphone or is it used for audio volume? Background of my question is, I got the Fiio K9 AKM, sounds nice but would like to place it away further away from me but still would like to have a knob to control the audio :)
@@Raw6H The knob is used to control the mic. :)
Definitely the hype 4 then
Thank you so much for another fantastic review!!
Orchestra Lite’s are ridiculously good
@@IMF1821 hell yeah my brother!!
Awesome review. Question, is the monarch mk3 worth the money compared to these, is the a big enough difference to justify the purchase? Also, as I already own the simgots, is there enough difference to justify the price of the hype 4’s? And, any chance you go back through your list to test all on the dx9?
Worth it over the Em6l particularly if you also want that bass experience and resolution for the price. It becomes more than JUST gaming.
I'm glad the Canon II is still up a bit compared to the Hype 4. I've just bought my II's, and I would hate to see it that much outclassed 😂
Just to know, do you play Overwatch? I play it a lot, and I'm still not sure if it fits on a arena-style game sound, or if it's more open, similar to battle royales.
Still, glad to see this review, and I'm glad I chose the Canon II, as I like a more tamed bass. Thanks for all the insights!
Much ❤️
Great review. I plan to purchase either xenns Top, hype 4, or Monarch mk3. Have a few questions for music listening only:
1. In what ways is Monarch mk3 better than the hype 4?
2. In what ways is the monarch mk3 better than the xenns Top (unless you feel the xenns Top is better, but if so why)
@@FreshReviewsYT
Thank you.
None I’ve tried are remotely decent for gaming other than the zetian wu heyday
@@FreshReviewsYT whoa 😳 good to know ✅
Nice review!
Oh let me check it. Sorry. I might have copy pasted the wrong thing
Hi fresh, could you possibly do a gaming iem ranking regardless of price and just performance alone? Thank you in advance
Its Tripowin Zonie

Hi, I got the Sennheiser 560S from your recommendation a couple months ago, I love them!
I was looking to get into IEMS again, and I am in between this options for Gaming/Music: Hype 4, Monarch III, and the Xenns Top.
Within those 3 which one is best general all-rounder in your opinion?
Budget doesn't matter, my music playlists have a lot of variety, and usually oriented towards E-Sports in the gaming spectrum.
I like the hype 4
@@FreshReviewsYT Sold 👌
You should take a look at the Tanchjim Kara, it's along the lines of the Aful P5, but cleaner sound with better imaging and $40 cheaper
If I had to choose one, I’d go for the lite.
Thanks for the reviews.
I was going to buy it if it was better than Xenns Top... too bad.
Are you going to review the Hype 10 too ?
Eventually!
Thanks for the great review!
I know this is a gaming focus video, but how does the Hype 4 compare to the Top for general music listening?
It’s been awhile since I’ve used the top. Going off memory, more bass and a bit warmer of a set.
Oh 100% good enough. They’re close in percentage points
@@FreshReviewsYT Thank you so much for your quick reply. ^^ Time to order them! Subbed to show my support!

Yes I do. Works great
@@FreshReviewsYT thanks for answering! also you cannot hear what youre saying because you cannot use the audio feedback from the wave xlr as youre using the topping?
The canon 2 sounds amazing lissening to multiple reviews but for EU this is really hard to get them! What about plugin them in? I can put the jacks into the pc or use something external?
Can put them in direct but it sounds better with a competent amp dac
@@FreshReviewsYTah ok, which one do you suggest? Still thinking about hyper 4 or the canon… the canon looks stunning!

how are the cannon 2 in pubg vs the kiwi you had? @eclipsedwarrior?

Hey Fresh, do you purely use the wave XLR to power your mic? And the streamdeck to use as a fader programn? Im currenlty using a go xlr mini and would love ot get a dedicated amp/dac stack to drive IEMs and headphones for the best experience. I wouldl love to know how you're routing everything!
I use my amp dac and stream deck separately. My wave xlr is only for my mic
Yes anything that is or was in my top 5 is very good and close
Is it worth paying an additional £160 over Kiwi Orchestra Lite for FPS competitive gaming only or it's a bit overkill? With a focus on sound separation and precision with imaging, the bass is not as important.
3:18 pause. “I could have 4-5 guys around me, doing different things, and I never felt overwhelmed” 😂😂
Ahahahaha giggity
Hey can you give me a brief how an iem like this or any of the other compare to headphones? spesfically the 560s because I own it.
Do you include wz in your thoughts on this IEM ?
Awesome review Fresh!!
I appreciate it!
Will you do review for Simgot EA500LM? Really curious to see how it would perform compared to EM6L gaming-wise since the latter is a top contender on your budget wallhack tier list. TIA!
Yea!
@@FreshReviewsYT You're the best!
Thanks 🙏🏾
I think IEMs and headphones are at a point performance wise that you should really go with what you would prefer comfort wise.
@@FreshReviewsYT thanks a lot, then ill give the Hype 4s a try 🫶🏾
Hello there, your reviews have always helped me to decide my mouse and mousepad. Now I'm planning to buy and IEM for gaming. I mostly play competetive call of duty, battlefield and campaign games.
My question is :
1)Which IEM will be best under 80$
2) is Truthear X Crinacle Zero or Truthear Hexa still worth it in 2024?
Purple Zero for sure
@@FreshReviewsYT you mean the crincale zero Blue one my friend?
Do you use any type of extension cable or aftermarket longer cables for your iems? All the iems that I have come with ones that are too short to reach my dac/amp setup. Thanks!
I don’t right now. Mgiht be able to find some good ones off aliexpress
What would be the best IEM (budget) for Rainbow Six and The Finals?
How do you think this compares to the Monarch Mk3? I am thinking of saving up for the Monarch, but recent reviews are telling me that Hype 4 is just 10% away from the Monarch. I am thinking of ending the IEM hobby with this purchase and I could already buy the Hype 4. However I am still thinking of saving up for "the big one".
This hobby never ends, don’t fool yourself. You can definitely stop for a while but it never ends hahaha
Once we take the pill, there's no turning back xd
The hype 4 value is great
What about for tarkov. What would be the best iem for that?
How close is the Simgot EM6L to the midrange top 7 in your opinion?
he mentioned in a video that it comes close to the orchestra lite.
Fun, great for music,
And just generally bad ass in most titles.
They’re a decent enough upgrade for sure
Keep up the great work.🐐🐐
Great pads yea
Damn, looks like this is what I'm looking at for an upgrade, if only it came in red. The monarch mkIII looks like it will do everything I want, but that cost 😭
I am a warzone only player. I hope you could include that as one of your titles
Any recommendations for someone with tight ear canals? I watched your review of the kiwi ears orchestra lite and that made me wary of the nozzle size "issue". How is the nozzle size on these (the Hype 4)?
Much better
If you really wanna test IEM for gaming, you should review them while playing Hunt Showdown, this game is soo damn good for sound compare to AAA title like apex etc
I’m going to buy it
test hype's 4's in escape from tarkov

Start with the Em6l for sure. It’s a banger. If in a tight spot, I can also recommend the qkz hbb, truthear Crinacle zero blue, or the 7hz sonus
