- It’s time to talk about The Bouncer.
Square’s first international release on the PlayStation 2 in 2001 is a shining example of the artistic excesses of the era, prioritization of style over substance, and an insane story that defies explanation. In other words…it’s a wild ride.
This video will provide a brief history of the development of The Bouncer, a detailed review, and insights on what it’s like to play in the modern era. If you’re a fan of Square Enix games like Final Fantasy 16, Final Fantasy 7, Final Fantasy 14, or other JRPGs, there’s plenty to dig into here. Hope you enjoy the ride!

Loved that game a remake of that would be fire
Personally this is one of my favorite games, got to play it really young and really enjoyed the characters and gameplay, to this day im still a fan and recently picked up a copy for another run at this gem, if you didnt wanna be Kou Leifoh when you were a kid your childhood was lame 🤘🏼
Same.
I was a very sad teen😢 I got it day one
This is still one of my favorite games of all time. I know it’s become kind of fashionable to shit on this game but man was it fun when you understand some of the mechanics! If you beat this game twice in a row the third time you fight a secret version of the boss! Kou’s circular upper cut is the best fighting move in any game‼️ Combined with the rag dolls physics that move was its own air juggling combo‼️
The ragdoll physics are SO fun. Absolutely ridiculous, never got old.
I love this game i did a video on the rare bouncer sion statue. I even made his jacket 😅
