  • In this video, I show you how to set up a real anti-lag system on a Subaru and possibly other cars. This can be done for cheap, all you need is a switch, or button, and a relay. You also need some way to modify ECU tables like ecuflash, romraider, or cobb.
    Here is the link to the forum post where I got the idea:

    The iat temp comp pulls timing from the main base timing table so calculate your lc timing off that number also set your lc timing cut hesterises to 25 rpm swing like 4400 max and 4375 so it doesn’t bounce as much. Helps a ton

    I'm trying to understand what is going on here. Are you flat foot shifting and it keeps the boost up or does the boost stay up no matter where the pedal is at? Is it basically creating engine resistance via ignition at a strange moment?

    • @SWSpeedCo
      @SWSpeedCo  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      It doesn't really matter where the pedal is. The way it works is it retards the timing so much that when you floor it the car doesn't accelerate because the timing is so retarded but it still generates engine load which causes the turbo to spool up. So when you let go of the button and the timing goes back to normal it accelerates with full boost. Hope that answers your question

    • @SWSpeedCo
      @SWSpeedCo  หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      I'm sure it can be done on other vehicles, the limiting factor is weather or not it has a tuning table that varies ignition timing based on intake air temp. If you can find that table and edit it there is a pretty good chance it will work

    Have you run into any issues with this ALS? does it damage your turbo and put a lot of load on the engine block? I want to do this, and planning on showing my tuner.

    • @SWSpeedCo
      @SWSpeedCo  ปีที่แล้ว

      It's not the safest thing. I wouldn't recommend doing it with a stock turbo. I've heard the ball bearing turbos are better for handling this sort of thing. I haven't had any issues with it yet.

  • @masubi5784

    On the relay where did you wire 87 to? pin 30-iat to sensor,
    pin 87a iat to ecu, power, ground, pin 87?

    • @SWSpeedCo
      @SWSpeedCo  หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Pin 87 doesn't connect to anything, you are just using it as a point of disconnect if that makes sense. Normally with 5 pin relays your devise runs through 87 and 30 so when there is no power the circuit is opened and your devise is off. Then when you flip the switch it switches from 87a to 87 and closes the circuit and turns your device on. In this setup 87a doesn't connect to anything. What I did here is the same but flipped since we want the circuit to be closed all the time when no power is applied to the relay we use 87a. Then when we apply power it opens the circuit and makes the ecu think the iat is -40 since it is no longer connected to the sensor

    not antilag. this is another 2step

    • @SWSpeedCo
      @SWSpeedCo  8 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      It isn't exactly antilag, but it isn't 2 step either. 2 step is quite literally a 2nd rev limiter. It functions the same as a rev limiter by cutting fuel at a specified rpm. What this does is retards the timing to allow the turbo to spool up which just 2 step won't do. Hope that explains it better, thanks for watching.
