But it is just what I have been looking for to help to get up off the floor, out of the car, or low chair which requires strength to left one’s body. Lauren, thanks to your workouts I feel in control of my life again. I am 23 years old and suffer from chronic pain and hyper mobility. My muscles became even weaker during quarantine, and I sustained terrible injuries at the beginning of last year trying to get back in shape. Exercising became excruciatingly painful. I couldn't seem to find a routine that would help me recover my strength and restore my flexibility as well. Now, after a month of doing your weekly routines, my joints don't pop as much and I definitely feel much stronger, but mostly, I feel happy and young again. Your channel and all that you do is an absolute game-changer for me!
How good it is to have a specific plan for the week! I wouldn’t have chosen this workout on my own - it’s on the verge of “I can, I can’t.” But since this was included in the plan, I had to forget about my “limitations” (77 years and 70 kg) and see it through to the end. And I did it! And everything (the warrior pose is not very good) worked out! Thank you so much Lauren! You are my powerful motivator!
I want to thank you for making these videos...I was looking to get back into fitness and every single beginner video I bought or watched and attempted was simply WAY too difficult as I was trying to come back from an injury.. Thank you so much for this gentle and whole body workout Lauren. I strained my back a week ago shovelling snow and am just able to start moving again, and this was perfect and easy to modify for my needs.
Wonderful workout, I thought while doing the exercises while standing. But exercising on the mat was so uncomfortable for me. But I completed them because I realized that without Lauren’s charm I would never do such difficult but very useful exercises. And judging by the feeling of lightness in my body after the workout, I did the right thing in not giving up doing these exercises. Thank you so much, Lauren! You are an unrivaled motivator!❤❤❤❤❤😊

Good morning Lauren Always trying different videos of yours. This one was challenging. At my age I don’t move that way much anymore. I got through it and will do it again. With all the new discoveries regarding exercise you and your joints will be in much better shape in your 70’s than I am. Back in the day the rigorous jumping and heavy weight exercises did a number on joints. Not focusing on your body movements. Keep up the good work.
What a great workout. I'm not a senior but definitely a beginner. This combines stretches and strength. I felt it the next day but in a good way. Thank you for these videos. I will be doing these daily now. I also shared with my mom and a couple friends!

I love the variety, working my body in different ways. Recently I've become interested in Calisthenics and was pleased to find this workout on your channel! I have to say, it was the toughest I have done but I think this type of workout is really beneficial - can we have some more please?? You're so welcome Martha. Those side planks are tough! Even if you just do one it will still activate those muscles and work on building strength. Don't give up!
I’ll be so glad when I can get back to doing some exercise! My sciatic nerve is flared up pretty good and I can’t do much except some walking and even that bothers me (especially after)! I’ll be doing this little workout for sure!
Hope it feels better soon! I recommend a figure 4 stretch laying on your back if you can. Or maybe foam rolling if you have one. A tennis ball is also good to massage in there.
@@SeniorShapeFitness Oh my goodness, that foam roller hurts so bad…lol! I have been doing the figure four and it feels really good! My son bought me a percussion gun and that feels good…I believe it serves the same purpose as the foam roller and they both leave bruises on me…lol
@@nattywho the gun is great! But I hear you, I think rolling and the gun can be painful too! Be kind to your body. Also look into maybe taking a magnesium supplement
Hi Lauren, love your workouts. I’m 74 with Parkinson’s and find 90% of the workouts accessible, especially barre workouts for balance and to counter peripheral neuropathy. However I find floor work difficult. Could you for convenience assemble a playlist- All standing, no equipment needed? Thanks
Good one. I had a tough time on the floor ones laying on my side. I'm not sure why unless I was positioned incorrectly, I definitely have some padding there but I couldn't stay there. Odd for me, I never would've thought those would be most challenging!
It seems odd, but we actually need to work on our balance even on our sides. Bend your bottom leg at the knee a little more and that should help stabilize you more :)
Well this was fabulous! Side planks were barely off the ground, but still, I loved it. I've had horribly achy lower legs and feet and shin splints these last few days, and walking and yoga weren't helping. I know they say rest, but I think strengthening helps more. I always feel better when I do these body weight full body routines, just wish I was disciplined enough to do them more regularly. That's a request for another routine or two like this if possible please. Or are their some pilates routines with squats and lunges in? Thank you for what you do. You really help!

Finally found the balance of my senior needed exercise. Question since seniors are your specialty, do you do specifics to those with osteopenia osteoporosis issues? It’s more common even now to younger ones. Thank you.

Hi Vishnu! I would suggest 2 times a week. It's great to alternate with your other activities. Ideally, maybe just once a week and do a strength training with weights on the other day. That would keep you in a really well-rounded plan.
Whoooohooo Push ups ! YES ! At 17:27 I say to myself, " Whew for a second It thought she was going to combine the two...."At 17:35 it became reality.... I thought I was going to die" Thats hard but worth it. Good workout !
@@SeniorShapeFitness Hey did this workout again .... I did the push ups on the wall but was way too easy... next time gonna do the push ups on the floor . This is a good workout. My arms and legs were shaking !!! Course I had skated for an hour earlier but this is a workout you get your moneys worth for sure.

I feel so sad that this one was just too difficult. Squats are okay, lunges not too bad, but those reverse tabletops were just too much on the shoulders and wrists. I’ve been working out steadily in varying intensities for the past year but just couldn’t manage this one. I’ll put this one in the back burner and maybe try again in a few months. Or maybe not… 😜

Hope it feels better soon! I recommend a figure 4 stretch laying on your back if you can. Or maybe foam rolling if you have one. A tennis ball is also good to massage in there.
@@SeniorShapeFitness Oh my goodness, that foam roller hurts so bad…lol! I have been doing the figure four and it feels really good! My son bought me a percussion gun and that feels good…I believe it serves the same purpose as the foam roller and they both leave bruises on me…lol
@@nattywho the gun is great! But I hear you, I think rolling and the gun can be painful too! Be kind to your body. Also look into maybe taking a magnesium supplement

Good one. I had a tough time on the floor ones laying on my side. I'm not sure why unless I was positioned incorrectly, I definitely have some padding there but I couldn't stay there. Odd for me, I never would've thought those would be most challenging!
It seems odd, but we actually need to work on our balance even on our sides. Bend your bottom leg at the knee a little more and that should help stabilize you more :)

Well this was fabulous! Side planks were barely off the ground, but still, I loved it. I've had horribly achy lower legs and feet and shin splints these last few days, and walking and yoga weren't helping. I know they say rest, but I think strengthening helps more. I always feel better when I do these body weight full body routines, just wish I was disciplined enough to do them more regularly. That's a request for another routine or two like this if possible please. Or are their some pilates routines with squats and lunges in? Thank you for what you do. You really help!

Finally found the balance of my senior needed exercise. Question since seniors are your specialty, do you do specifics to those with osteopenia osteoporosis issues? It’s more common even now to younger ones. Thank you.

Hi Vishnu! I would suggest 2 times a week. It's great to alternate with your other activities. Ideally, maybe just once a week and do a strength training with weights on the other day. That would keep you in a really well-rounded plan.

Whoooohooo Push ups ! YES ! At 17:27 I say to myself, " Whew for a second It thought she was going to combine the two...."At 17:35 it became reality.... I thought I was going to die" Thats hard but worth it. Good workout !

I think the only other videos that I have done push ups on the wall were NOT pilates. Maybe he posture video? or the Cardio & Strength Osteoporosis friendly workout.
next time to save a workout, make sure you "like" the video by giving it a thumbs up, that way you can find them easier because TH-cam will keep all your liked videos for you.

I feel so sad that this one was just too difficult. Squats are okay, lunges not too bad, but those reverse tabletops were just too much on the shoulders and wrists. I’ve been working out steadily in varying intensities for the past year but just couldn’t manage this one. I’ll put this one in the back burner and maybe try again in a few months. Or maybe not… 😜

Day56 not gonna lie, the side planks plus lifting the leg were a touch too much for me, managed a couple, struggled, stuck to lifting the leg. :)
