@@somerandofromoregon, Pepsiman just broke into Nerd's basement and didn't stop turning Nerd's stuff into Pepsi. The Nerd on the other hand, has some major issues. The obvious one is his explosive anger problem in older episodes. The other obvious one is that the Nerd is an alcoholic, who drinks like a gallon of Rolling Rock every time he rage quits or gets extremely frustrated. He's was also disloyal to Pat at one point in one of the episodes that discusses about Nintendo Championships for the NES, just because he wanted to get his hands on the golden cartridge Pat happened to own. Because of his issues, the Nerd is ranked lower than Pepsiman. Also, the reason why Nostalgia Critic is ranked lower than Pepsiman is because he was trying to kill the Nerd when they were fighting.
Let me clarify: Shadow, is not a villain, nor is he evil. He is at the very least, an anti-hero who almost always fights for the greater good alongside Sonic and friends.

Metal Sonic is classic but i think Shadow will always be one of my favorite Antagonists for Sonic.

@@nintendoboy3605 No. At least I don't think so. However, it's gotten many poor reviews over the years. It's one of my favorite childhood movies of all time and to this day, even as an adult, I still love the CRAP out of it. It was also many 2000s kids childhood.

@@wolfenden9805 Part of the problem is that Shadow's namesake game depicts him with maximum edge, so the writers probably look to that game for his character.
Since it's literally called "Shadow the Hedgehog." Which is a shame, since Shadow's true character has really only been shown in SA2, Heroes, and 06.

Well, Dark Gaia is an elemental that is bound to Earth by its nature, so unfair comparison...also keep in mind, it breaks Earth through only brute force and telekinesis.
Rouge isn't really a villain. She's mostly neutral. Plus the best love interest to Knuckles. Also Omega isn't evil either, he becomes a good guy later on. Shadow is also neutral, but does do good things at times. I also don't think Chaos is completely evil either

I completely agree. Rouge, Omega, and Shadow are considered the Anti-Heroes in Sonic the Hedgehog lore. Chaos is a literal deity in the same lore, only obeying the commands of those who control him, i.e. Dr. Eggman and Knuckles' tribe.

Ok I can understand shadow and rouge being on here Shadow (blowing up half the moon) and Rouge (stealing the master emerald in Sa2 could count as Knuckles villain.) However if this is the case Knuckles should be here two because of Triple trouble/ as well as 3 and K
But Omega was never a villain (if it was because he fought Sonic well then Tails and Amy would also be villains.) So that’s my thoughts on that.

Also most of Infinite’s weaknesses mentioned are not true.
Forces never mentioned the limit of Infinite’s range. Also if the Phantom Ruby doesn’t work when removed from Infinite how comes Eggman can use it just fine.
The prototype weakness is true however granted there’s a limited amount of them of which Eggman and Infinite destroyed majority of.
Also I don’t remember Chaos Zero causing earthquakes. The image showed was of Earthquake created by Perfect Chaos. That is Chaos’s strongest form.
Lyric didn’t dodge Sonic’s spin dash he blocked it. Also he was the first to block Boom Sonic’s spin dash. Not normal Sonic.
Also Tails and Knuckles weren’t in their Super forms when fighting Metal Overlord. They had Super shields. Which are not as strong.
Ok now that errors were addressed I will mention some missed villains.

Fang the Sniper/ Nack the Weasel/ Jebora.
Eggman Nega.
The villain from Tails Sky Patrol.
Gerald Robotnick.
Biolizard / Final Hazard.
Gemeral. (Who turned good but hey Shadow is in the video.)

And that’s every error I noticed and missed villain I could think of.

Omega has been a hero in every game he's been in.
Rouge is more neutral then anything else, working as a government spy while treasure hunting.
I guess Shadow counts, but only for SA2, and he becomes a hero by the end once his memory returns. Most of the game "Shadow The Hedgehog" didn't even happen as the true ending discredits all of it as a way of having the final story be different from all the other endings.

This list has a huge problem. Rouge, Shadow and Omega are NOT villains. They're anti-heroes. BIG DIFFERENCE!

Time Eater is Eggman, so he does not count.
Arthur and Merlina are also invincible with the Scabbard, and have control over armies.
Iblis has power, but no brain. Mephiles has both, and Solaris IS both. Iblis and Solaris should not have been here.

@@theminecraft2516. Watch it, Minecraft! I do know about Shadow's past with Maria and Gerald. Omega was programmed to do that, and it never happened. Rouge and Shadow were a little more extreme in SA2, but Rouge was faking it and Shadow was going through a rough awakening.

Rouge was a spy for G.U.N as she worked with Eggman but her morality was a shade of grey, Omega was never a villain...and Shadow definitely was in SA2 until his redemption.
In the past occurrences of Gaia's awakening, it would destroy the planet, that came out of Professor Pickle's mouth, Eggman just did it for it.
The primordial form of Time Eater debatably should be on the list, Eggman only improved upon an existing entity...
Sonic is the real Arthur and the one fought is an illusion created by Merlina.
The trinity of Iblis, Mephiles, and Solaris all deserve placement and I don't understand your explanation of why they don't.
Eggman Nega is smarter than Eggman, and that's about it. Also debatably not quite canonically relevant.
Emerl =/= Shadow, Rouge, and Omega
I'm certain Shadow called himself "Ultimate Lifeform" after he shitcanned Zero in the precursor to Forces.
Shadow innately has chaos power, that's irrefutable, the emeralds enhance that, but without them he still can employ Chaos Spear, Burst, etc., as well as simply taking off his inhibitor rings. He's definitely not just Sonic.
Let’s not forget the fact that lyric was beaten by boom sonic who is the weakest version by far, and other villains bellow him can do so much more on a universal scale
Shadow and Rouge are some how on her despite not being villains yet Fang or the Hard Boiled Heavies aren't despite being villains.
Fang doesn't appear in any story driven game.

Chaos nor Mephiles is more powerful than Shadow. Current Sonic in base can defeat Perfect Chaos and Shadow is able to defeat Mephiles. Honestly Shadow should be in the top 5. I think Metal Sonic is to high he should be under time eater and shadow as sonic and him later surpass him. Sonic gets much stronger in later games.

The Biolizard was distressed and feral, Gerald was the villain behind it as Eggman(s) were the villain behind Time Eater.

Metal Overlord can also use Chaos Control without having a Chaos Emerald! It is a rare Attack, but he does this and if you don't react fast, you'll be immobile for 20 Secounds! At this point, you may loose the fight, as the Rings you've collected will be very low already and you can't even do something against his other Attacks.

Chaos 0 is not evil but was corrupted by Rage and hate by the echidna tribes and Eggman. He is a Chao protector.

Shadow was using Eggman to fulfill Gerald Robotnik’s revenge, but thanks to Amy and Maria true goal, he know what his true purpose was and joins Sonic to save the world.
Even in Heroes without his memory he still believes in himself to be a Hero.
Don’t you ever mention Sonic 06, where Omega was meant t trap Shadow, 06 was trying to be a reboot thinking that UN created Omega to trap Shadow due to Mephiles. I hate that game as it is.

Shadow is a Dark Hero who helps those in need but takes protecting the world seriously, he has a soft spot for his allies and he treats Sonic as a equal fighting Allie.

I hate to say this, but Shadow, Erazor Djinn, Black Doom and yes even Infinite definitely outclass Chaos when it comes to power. They have accomplished feats of beating and nearly killing Sonic which is something that Chaos couldn’t do, with and without the Chaos Emeralds. Plus Sonic easily beat Perfect Chaos even in his base form, in Sonic Generations.

In Sonic Adventure 2, Shadow did, in fact, die at the end. Every other Shadow's appearances are clones as shown in Team Dark's ending of Sonic Heroes.

I'd honestly rank Merlina higher, given that she single-handedly stomped the shit out of Sonic (before he gained the power of Excalibur) while some of the characters ranked higher in this list needed help to beat Sonic even in his base form.
Chaos has no right to rank above her tbh...
Sonic's power is in constant evolution, there are 13 years between the Perfect Chaos fights in Adventure and Generations, and two between Black Knight and Generations...in the time between Adventure and Generations Sonic became powerful enough to beat the god of destruction in base without breaking a sweat, he was either at or approaching that level of power at the time of Black Knight and still got effortlessly shitcanned by Merlina.
I have some criticism!
Dont get me wrong, I like your videos and I am trying to help with the algorith as well.
So here it goes:
-Merlina should have been way higher on the list, with the scabbard she was immortal and beat the shit out of modern Sonic, the same modern Sonic who beat Perfect Chaos in Generations without needing to go Super Sonic and that still had a transformation(Dark Queen) on her sleeve to fight a modern Sonic empowered with the Excalibur.
That alone should place her above Erazor(who lost to modern Sonic despite his immortality) without his transformation and Omega, let alone any adventure villain.
-Omega would beat the Deadly Six with no difficulty, he was able to kick Mephiles's ass in 06 before he transformed and his future timeline counterpart beat modern Shadow(without Super Shadow of course) just after Iblis was released, meaning about the same time as his present timeline counterpart helped with the defeat of Solaris.
-Erazor transformed state was much above Infinite
While Phantom Ruby could create enemies on par with modern Sonic, make him faster than him plus sightly altering reality, and Merlina's magic allowed her to create a expanding pocket dimension that was going to take the entire arthurian world, Erazor's transformed form devoured the entire universe of the Arabian Nights and claimed to have became the creator to the point where he was going to recreate that world in his own image and then move on to the next(Sonic's world).
-Infinite is far above Black Doom
Doom in his Devil Doom form was able to keep up with post-adventure Super Shadow, a pretty good feat yes, but like mentioned above modern Sonic is on par with his adventure Super Form and Infinite beat him.
Not only that, but Sonic in Battle(which I believe was after Shadow the Hedgehog? Forgive me if im wrong) defeated Emerl with the 7 Chaos Emeralds who was going to wipe out a star system, and Infinite himself was able to create fake suns with his reality warping abilities...meanwhile Black Doom was threatened by the existence of the planet-destroying Eclipse Cannon.
-No way Chaos is above Shadow, or any of the mentioned, Shadow even at his game of debut was able to become Super Shadow(thanks to Sonic's help) who, while unexperienced, was still at adventure Super Sonic's level after the same Super Sonic beat Perfect Chaos, and now he's on par with modern Sonic and his super form who fought Solaris.
-No way Mephiles is above him either, Shadow beat him even when the guy was powered up by 2 Chaos Emeralds.
His only chance would be if you considered Solaris as a extension of him which would put him way up in the list but even then Super Shadow was able to heavily damage if not destroy his body in the past, same for Super Sonic in the present and Super Silver in the future, the issue was that he had to be beaten in these three timeframes at once and he would regenerate so his consciousness also had to be destroyed by the three working together, but powerwise the super hedgehogs are above him, so only ranks higher if you consider that all these abilities make him more difficult to beat.
-No way Iblis ranks this high on the list lol, he was beaten by Silver multiple times and that same Silver had his ass kicked by Shadow, he may be immortal sure but so is King Arthur, Merlina with the Scabbard, Erazor... you get the point. And Mephiles was the one who single handely absorbed him! Yeah he used the emeralds, but if you're counting Perfect Chaos that's just fair, besides absorbing the power of Shadow in his restrained state through his shadow put him above the same Silver that kicked Iblis's ass.
-...I'm not going to comment on Lyric, nope, not a single bit. Moving on...
-Metal Sonic's placement is...messy.
If we use just Metal Sonic's normal form that was equal to classic Sonic he would be at the bottom of the list.
if we use Metal Overlord from Heroes(which seems to be what you're going for) he would surely be above Chaos, Devil Doom and so on, pretty much the strongest of the dreamcast era, but below Time Eater, Dark Gaia and so on.
A modern era Metal Sonic on the other hand, if equal to Sonic still, would place him on par if not above Shadow without his super form.
Now a theoretical modern Neo Metal Sonic going Metal Overlord would be the strongest Sonic villain ever, no doubt about it.
Being equal to modern Sonic and having the data of him, Shadow and the others upgrading his power to above theirs and then going to his Perfect Chaos-like form on top of that would easily place him above even Solaris.
Sonic Heroes's Super Sonic couldnt really harm him let alone beat him on his own, hey thought him to be invincible with Eggman saying their chances were too small, it required a three-super forms special attack to DEAL DAMAGE to him and only after using it MULTIPLE TIMES they were able to beat him. In the modern context imagine a villain that required the three super hedgehogs(like Solaris) and couldnt even be harmed by them(unlike Solaris), thought to be unstoppable and that required these three to perform their strongest attacks at once multiple times and in perfect sync in order to beat it...yeah that's how terrifying Metal Sonic can be, Sonic better be glad that the guy has been chilling ever since the events of Sonic Heroes.
-Dark Gaia is more than planetary, like sure HIS BODY is planet size and he easily can rip continents apart, but his true power is being able to control ALL negative energy, guy can suck Chaos dry!
His most powerful feat in my opinion is being able to deal damage to modern Super Sonic and make a shield that he cant simply break through, which is a lot.
But once the shield was broken he was easily headshooted by Super Sonic ending the fight, so he's not THAT strong, as in being above Time Eater who took two Super Sonics to beat and that could eat the timeline given enough time.

Eggman was the one that harnessed that time creature and turned it into his invention so technically he should be higher
We don't know HOW eggman did that,he maybe attacked it by surprise,and since it was still a living being,he killed it and took some of its body parts and put them on a robot (yes,it sounds gross,but it seems like thats what he did in the final boss fight) Maybe Eggman attacked a weak spot,or attacked by surprise or attacked when something else weakened the time eater,we can't scale eggman to it if we don't know how he did it,plus if he could do it alone,then why does he need the time eater for?

Shadow was technically the only villain on this list who actually beat sonic. (Other than infinite and Mephiles). Even so, Shadow isn't even a villian.
