Which Sonic the Hedgehog character would survive Squid Game? 🦑
Season 2 of Squid Game is confirmed, and the 2nd Sonic movie nears its premiere (with a 3rd on the way). People are getting excited to see both franchises return for their next big outing. Because of this, we believe now would be a good time to merge them together to answer one question: Which Sonic character would most likely win Squid Game?

Metroid characters good to evil and Mario characters good to evil should be worked rather then a who what if thing when it comes to surviving the Squid Games.
If Sonic didn't die at Honeycomb, he would've died at Marbles. Sonic would much rather die himself than let his friends die

Everyone knows that Tails wouldn't get eliminated on round four by manipulation. The reason for this is that Eggman got eliminated in the brawl can't play a 2000 IQ move on Tails like he did in Sonic Adventure 2.
He wasn't eliminated-
He survived to glass stepping stones-
Dr Ivo Robotnik (Dr Eggman) is stronger and quicker than he looks, he able to break a wall of solid ice with his bare hands and has out run Sonic multiple times. So I think he would go out in marbles or the glass stepping stones
i would say the glass stepping stones he would go as eggman has tricked tails and other characters numerous times before so could get all of the marbles however his weight would be his downfall in the stepping stones

Eggman is cetainly stronger then any human could ever be, but without any machines he wouldn't stand a chance in a straght fight against anyone besides the other humans (even some of the weaker characters like Amy and Charmy have more combat experience outside of mechs and are likely physically stronger then he is, heck the Team Chaotix ending in Sonic Heroes actually had Eggman getting beat up by Charmy)
Dr. Robotnik has too big of a target on his back and he's too chubby to be great at stealth.

I know what you mean but there is an option if that shadow can take his shoes off and go through Red light Green light by being patient and is not one of the most slowest characters without the air shoes so he can make it through

As much as I love Silver, I think he would’ve died at the marble game. Mostly because how naïve he’s been established to be, like Ali. If he was paired up with someone like Shadow or Rouge, they would’ve taken advantage of him.
Speaking of Rouge, I think she would’ve won. Mostly because of how Sonic X portrayed her, but she’s been shown to be charming, smart and manipulative.
She or espio would be my oveal pick to win

I do have one notable disagreement: I don't think Silver would make it past Marbles, and I think Rouge absolutely would. Silver is extremely naive and Rouge is a skilled manipulator. She'd most likely lose on Glass anyway so it's not a big deal, and even if she didn't she definitely can't beat Shadow in a fight. Espio maybe, Shadow no.
Same with Tails. He can’t be manipulated, AND he can put up a fight.
@@girlyrandomgachagirl5953 Tails _can_ be manipulated specifically by Rouge, but otherwise it's more than possible he'd make it through to the end. I'm doubtful he could beat Shadow, though. Espio, more than likely, but Shadow is a hesitant maybe at best.

Most of the characters eliminated in the same round have quite the similarities here.
This was also quite a tough decision, they tried to not simply trusting on the Ultimate Life form, only to find out everyone else is literally flawed in some way to get eliminated all up until Glass Stepping Stones, and his final opponent was none other than Espio, who is just him but weaker overall

Rouge losing the marble round like she isn’t the ultimate scammer / female manipulator in the sonic universe is wild.
i'd say they got the order of survival for Rouge and Silver mixed up, claiming the naive kid would have a better chance to survive a game where manipulation gives a big advantage then a thief who frequently uses her smarts and looks to manipulate people is pretty laughable.

Honestly, an Espio vs Shadow Squid Game finale would be epic to watch. Both show true combat skills and patience to take the other out. However, many of Shadow's powers come from the Chaos Emeralds, and according to the rules, he won't have them. I still think Shadow would win, but it would be much closer to 50/50 than the video says it will be.
Not entirely true, Shadow is capable of using some of his chaos abilities to an extent without a chaos emerald. I think because of his connection with the power of the Chaos emeralds he can still teleport short distances.
Shadow is basically guaranteed to win because he can't die. Yep, that is canon. Shadow can't die. For this reason alone, I feel Shadow would be disqulified.
Tails would’ve made it till the end… those examples were so random and unrealistic. Tails is smart, he’d figure out which panel is which.
I agree. He might have even won the final game itself if he was an attacker due to one thing; flight.

I don't think he would have won the fight at the end tho, expecially if he'd end up against Shadow. Sure he held his own against Shadow in Sonic Battle but that was when Shadow was in a weakened state, plus Shadow was effortlessly able to beat him in Sonic X (without using any of his Chaos powers by the way, just through brute strenght).
@Flame Not much of an excuse. If anything, it meant he was actively trying to stop Shadow but still failed because he just didn't have the strenght to stand up to him.

One concept I have for the squid game is which mercenary/assassin/bounty hunter.
Such as the TF2 team being the first nine and then branching out to other well known characters such as Assassin’s creed, The Witcher, Agent 47, etc.
Yea though they would have to be strict because they could add a for instance a tenno since they are by technically a assassin and the tenno could just win since well they cut down army's in minutes

Honestly for Red Light Green Light though I agree that Cream and Tikal wouldn't make it wouldn't be because they would be panicked or scared. I think they would be upset and crying and begging the people at the squid games to stop the senseless violence. Tikal would have her arms stretched out saying "greed is our enemy. Once you have it you'll always want more" and then get shot through.. again. I'd also imagine that though maybe some characters would be able to get through without thinking too much about what happens with others (or think they can be saved by winning the game) I think Chaos 0 if Tikal was shot would go after the people making the game. And be disqualified though not killed because remember bullets con't hurt Chaos.
I say Silver would win. He has shown to be excellent as remembering what is thrown at him, he could use this to predict what the next game would be. He would also pick a lower number because he tends to put others first later on, on top of that he has learned alot from experience about manipulation, so he could possibly be ready for what the enemy tries to talk him into.
Silver is a lil dumb tho

@@claykuperus THIS! That's a factor i noticed they completely glancedover during marbles, Silver would very likely die at marbles because he shouldn't be that hard to manipulate (not as gullible as Knuckles, but he's still rather naive which would still make him easy to manipulate).
Also silver: tried to throw a punch at shadow despite knowing shadow uses chaos control and himself having a chaos emerald of his own

-RED LIGHT GREEN LIGHT-
#30th - Charmy Bee: The feisty young bumblebee actually found the idea of he and his friends and foes captured behind their back just to compete at some children’s games. However, he was so stuck in the moment he missed the first red light and tripped over, getting shot and revealing the stakes of the game.
#29th - Big the Cat: While Vector exclaimed “man down”, The large oblivious cat turned his body around trying to figure out what that gunshot sound was, only to be shot dead without even seeing the bullet
#28th - Tikal the Enchidna: The figure of royalty to the Enchidna tribe is a peacekeeper, and is unable to take well to seeing gunshots fly across the floor, foolishly trying to make a run for it
#27th - Cream the Rabbit: Knowing absolutely no better, Cream follows the enchidna princess’s idea and becomes another early casualty.
#26th - Sticks the Badger: A few red lights later, Sticks continued to charge head first towards the line only to face plant trying to stop for the red light and is shot already having hit the ground
#25th - Storm the Albatross: The first Babylon Rogue died for pushing his own cardio to its limits which still wasn’t enough to pass this game having been used to traversing by hoverboard and all
-HONEYCOMB-
24th - Chaos Zero: 3D Sonic Boss number 1 failed to even hold the cookie or needle and was the first to break the shape just from dropping it.
23rd - Zavok: The large leader of the deadly six falls quickly having chosen the Star shape and has little luck carving the shape with his large claws
22nd - Infinite: Eggman becomes frustrated to see most of his goons fall so easily during this game and calls them out for being “weak-tempered”, as he carves the circle shape out of the cookie fairly easily. The jackal had already been teased by some of the resistance and Shadow about how long it took him to cross the line in the last game, causing his anger to get the better of him.
21st - Sonic the Hedgehog: The titular hedgehog unfortunately does not quite have the dexterity that the other animals have. He and Jet deliberately continued their rivalry after the latter struggled to keep up in the last game. Both picked the star shape and one got a little too cocky about his speed first
20th - Jet the Hawk: There goes my pfp :( Jet laughed hard to see the look on Sonic’s face after he broke the cookie, only to have broken his own shape soon after.
-MIDNIGHT BRAWL-
19th - Amy Rose: Soon after game 2, the animals did the same thing they did last time Sonic was out of the picture, form the resistance. With the lack of sleep and food driving everybody nuts, Amy decides to accuse Eggman for things that wouldn’t have happened “If Sonic were here. The two get into a heated argument and is soon choked by the doctor to fill the unsatisfied void of catching that blue hedgehog himself.
18th - The Commander: The rest of the resistance came to realize that humans tend to require more food than most of the animal species within the forces. Shadow gets the first last laugh on the commander who blamed him for his family’s death.
17th - Gerald Robotnik: Eggman’s old man takes a hit from Espio sneaking very effectively behind the beds
16th - Dr. Eggman: Tails, Rouge, and Shade went all out on him in the name of vengeance. Even with his massive intelligence, it just comes to show that soon enough, the game was bound to sort out the humans from the animals completely cleaning one side off.
15th - Maria Robotnik: Knuckles foolishly thought she was one of the targets and killed her, mentally breaking Shadow once again and boosting his determination for the rest of the game
-TUG OF WAR-
14th-12th: Mephiles, Black Doom, and Chip: Chip was out of familiar allies to find leaving him an odd one out to work with some of the antagonists to the worst entries in the series. The three could not work together providing an average amount of strength and a fairly easy pull with a bit of team spirit. Silver, Blaze, and Shade were able to get the last laugh on Mephilies even if it meant killing the charming helper from Unleashed
-MARBLES-
11th - Knuckles the Enchidna: “Easy to Manipulate” has always been one of his common character traits from the start. Somehow only three competitors eliminated their opponent when 11 went into the game and Knuckles unfortunately was one of them, being partnered with the bright young fox that the two usually get seen with Sonic.
10th - Rouge the Bat: Shadow’s partner in this game fell to a quick trick of manipulation when the idea of gems were mentioned to be lying through the neighborhood set while Shadow swapped out the marbles with rocks. It may be stone cold but remember, he saw Maria die twice.
9th - Shade the Enchidna: Being partnered up with Mighty, Shade managed to let her history of being manipulated into major deeds repeat itself despite Mighty not being the absolute brightest remaining competitor
-GLASS STEPPING STONES-
8th - Wave the Swallow: Having outlived the other Babylon Rouges, the swallow has been building quite an ego of her own and ultimately culminated with it as the first number picked for the game of luck and a freakishly keen eye
7th - Mighty the Armadillo: Being too confident in his strength, Mighty had no luck telling apart different types of glass
6th - Vector the Crocodile: Team Chaotix makes it as far as here with Vector having made an attempt to figure out which glass was tempered but failed due to the lack of detective gear
5th - Blaze the Cat: Fortunately Blaze was not afraid to sacrifice herself because she picked a number right in the middle and fell soon after Vector
4th - Silver the Hedgehog: Following Blaze during this game, Silver also died on a heroic sacrificial note being an optimist but also a realist
3rd - Tails Prower: The fox was able to distinguish the tempered glass leaving him and the two animals behind him the surviving edge. Soon enough, the lights went out and Shadow physically pushed him to test the final row of panels.
-SQUID GAME-
#2 - Espio: Being certain finalist material, the only thing that can stand in Espio’s way is an open field and a rival that can detect him. Oh wait, both of those unfortunately happen for him.
#1 - Shadow the Hedgehog: The ultimate lifeform lives up to his name! If it weren’t for Maria dying in the midnight brawl and his failure to protect her, Shadow would’ve picked a lower number in the stepping stones as he has shown to have some ego. However, he had that determination boosted since the midnight brawl which makes his victory pretty understandable
I honestly see this as being a very realistic way it would play out, the second Maria died Shadow had won due to the determination boost.
Silver honestly should have died at marbels for basically the same reasons as Knuckles, plus they really underestimated how clever Rouge is.
Considering the closeness Silver and Blaze had, Silver could also be eliminated for trying to save her, but that's just me

I'm still happy Espio got as far as he did.
My only real objection is that I find it weird that shadow wouldn't fall in the bridge, he always is talking about how he's "the ultimate life form" and he takes that with big pride

Squid Game Kills
Round 1: Red Light Green Light
30-29: Charmy and Sticks ran without stopping and were both shot dead by the doll
28-27: Big and Storm got distracted during the red light and got shot
26-25: Cream and Tikal begged the guards to stop the games but that failed and they got shot
Round 2: Honeycomb
24-23: Sonic and Jet tried to race each other to see who could cut it the fastest but that failed and both were shot
22-21: Zavok and Infinite found the game stupid and both formed an alliance to try take down guards but little did they know the bullets were strong enough to kill both of them
20: Chaos couldn't start the game and was shot when time ran out. These bullets killed him unlike normal ones
Round 3: Midnight Brawl
19: Amy was an easy target for Mephiles so when no one was looking he used his magic to kill her and hide before anyone else noticed
18: Maria When Shadow was fighting off others while protecting her Mephiles snuck up on her and killed her while Shadow was distracted
17: Gerald was hunted and beaten by Black Doom for making Shadow and thus being partially responsible for his plans to dominate the world with the black arms being foiled
16: Dr. Robotnik was ganged up on by all the heroes to get him out the picture since they thought he was a threat
15: Commander was beaten to death by Shadow when he realized Maria was dead and thought it was him who killed her
Round 4: Tug of War
14-12: Mephiles, Black Doom and Chip got pulled by players and dropped to their death
Round 5: Marbles:
11: Knuckles being paired up with Tails was outsmarted by the bright fox in rolling the marbles in the hole and thus got shot
10: Rouge sacrificed herself for Shadow after he tells her about Maria's death back in the midnight brawl, she is shot as a result
9: Shade was told to search for birds by Mighty while he hands in her marbles, then she got shot
Round 6: Glass Stepping Stones
8: Wave went first and failed on the second row of glass, thus falling
7: Vector suddenly remembered all the money on the line and tried to go straight to the end without thinking and thus fell
6: Mighty made it to the next tile and tried to use his ground pound ability to figure out the sound of the normal glass to the tempered glass so he went to the other side to find out what the sound made but he sadly ground pounded to his death
5: Blaze had picked a low number to be with Silver but after realizing the deadliness of the game, she reminds Silver she agreed to save the world at any price and thus went to reveal more tiles sacrificing herself in the process
4: Tails was scared by Shadow to go next and as time was running out Shadow pushed him to the next panel causing him to fall
3: Silver while he had made it to the end he looked down to mourn Blazes death but as the tiles exploded he was impaled and fell down to join her
Round 7: Squid Game
2: Espio used his invisibility to try making it to the Squid's head but Shadow used the footsteps to find out where he is and push him out of the court, being shot afterwards
The Winner: Shadow
Nitpicks:
Amy had an invisibility power in Sonic 06 so she could be stealthy. Even if it wasn't enough to pass the midnight brawl they should have put that into account.
I feel that Zavok would have passed Honeycomb. He may be impatient but he can breath fire on command and could use that to get the cookie out, kind of like Flame Princess from the Adventure Time Squid Game.
Black Doom would have died in Honeycomb thanks to his large size and only have 3 fingers on each hand.
Silver would have died in marbles because he is naïve and wouldn't be willing to take out a life.

*Bold to assume that anything that The Squid Game could throw at the Sonic cast would actually hurt them*
Bullets would. None of the characters are immune to bullets.

@@sonicmastersword8080 They already bonk their bodies aganist robots to break them, that should be more hurtful than any bullet could even dream of being
I know Sonic was eliminated in the Honeycomb challenge, but I feel like he’d be able to outrun or dodge any bullets and find a way out of the room. He wouldn’t be in the game anymore, but I doubt he’d be able to be killed very easily, especially by a normal weapon like a gun. Now, that doesn’t mean he’d leave everyone. No, he’d sneak around like he’s in one of Eggman’s bases and sabotage the game before anyone else could get killed.
Plus, I’d also like to mention that Amy, although she’d still likely be eliminated during the brawl, she would not take too kindly to the game if Sonic were to die. In fact, she could even be eliminated before the brawl by attacking the guards if she doesn’t get held back. If she’s still raging, she could get a few good hits in during the brawl and tear up the furniture to use as a weapon since she is pretty strong. I mean, her hammer is very heavy. This could mean people might attempt to eliminate her faster since she’s an uncontrollable threat. It would depend on the circumstances as to how she would go and even if she would go.
First, I loved this video and second, I think you should do star vs the forces of evil or the owl house for squid games because both seems really cool to do
I'm hesitant between Silver and Tails for this one.
Silver dies at marbels for the same reason Knuckles does.
@pokemon trainer Gold Yes he does, Silver has been noted in universe to be very naive and has been tricked by an obviously evil bad guy in the past so it's not hard to see him being tricked by any of the characters who are smarter then him. Such characters (not counting the ones said to die in previous rounds) include Tails, Espio, Shadow, Rouge, Vector (he may be clumsy, but it's hard to deny that he's a brilliant detective who can figure out major plot twists before anyone else does) and probably even Blaze if she needed to.
@@robmacher3253 He's not that easy to trick. Ever since 06 he has never been manipulated since.
@@-the-light-572 That's because 06 is one of the only games where he has actual plot relevance. There's the rivals games where he knew about Eggman Nega ahead of time because he went back in time to stop him specifically, Generations only has him in a random boss fight and he does nothing outside of it and he had a fight with Infinite in Forces and did not much else worth noting. It really doesn't change the fact that characters who are smarter then him could still trick him pretty easilly if they needed to.
@@robmacher3253 the only reason that case is indeed true is because Sega did not really care about the story nowdays, infact I believe once Sonic movie 5-6 comes out there would be something otherwise (assuming that he appears in the fourth film)
And don't even think about bringing up generations that game was just to celebrate the 25th (?) Aniversery.

Not only that, a lot of what I predicted came true:
• I guessed Tails would die in the Glass Steeping Stones
• I guessed Amy and Dr. Eggman would get killed in the Midnight Brawl

You forgot to factor one thing into the glass stepping stones, much like Bowser in the smash villain squid games, Vector would break all the glass platforms he'd stand on because he's insanely heavy (he weights 200 kilograms, or about 440 pounds).

Amy can box and can use hand to hand combat to fight, she slapped knuckles without a care in generations and sent flying if he is supposed to be as strong as sonic is fast then that says alot about how far shes come she also has super speed and is good at using her words to help others see a new perspective. Also she grown past her more "annoying" interpretations and has matured so I don't think she would be take out like that.

Just because of how smart he is, and even if it wasn’t a strategy he would’ve stayed back just cuz some times he is a wimp or it was a strategy. I honestly feel bad for cream and charmy. Charmy probably would have been dragged into the situation by vector having no idea what he is getting himself into since he is 6 and would panic after seeing someone get shot or seeing himself get shot. Cream is worse cus her mom isn't here and would be terrified like she got literally kidnapped as a 6 year old and if someone got shot would scream and be scarred for life if not dead

If we include Pokémon they have, Cyrus, he shows no sympathy whatsoever (most villains show no sympathy, so a shared trait), but he has Palkia (in masters) so he would be able to control the area with Palkias control over space for each test, giving him his desired arena and putting others in bad locations. He is also smart with skills as a tinkerer and possibly the only one to achieve his goals, finding the distortion world, a place without spirit.

Even without Pokémon on their side, I still would think Cyrus would win. While Giovanni is strong Pokémon wise, I think he would be fail since he is too trusting (trusted Ghetsis ,who then betrayed him in masters) and he is prone to giving up early, committing suicide or hiding away after losing a couple battles to a kid, when he still could control Team Rocket while in hiding. As for Maxie and Archie, going of their Oras versions, they trust blindly in their plans, leading to their legends creating rain and droughts far greater than they thought. I could see them thinking up a plan for one of the games, but when something happens they didn’t foresee, they would be blindsided and wouldn’t be able to come up with a counter solution. Their rivalry could also get in the way, leading to them trying to sabotage each other, increasing both of their chances at failure. Ghetsis probably would last a while as he is smart and manipulative, however since he is probably the oldest villain, he wouldn’t do well in any physical games, and while he is the only villain to harm a person on screen (taking Lillie hostage), he did it to a child who was taken by surprise, both factors that wouldn’t happen in a fight. I have no clue if Lysandere would do well as I don’t know how smart he is, but I would guess he may be stronger than the average person, however he is reckless, going ahead with his plan, even though it most likely killed him in the process. Guzma could probably be manipulated and I don’t think he is smarter than the average person, but I may be wrong, although I think he would definitely be stronger than the average person. Lusamine, going of sun and moon, may stand a chance as she is manipulative and smart, since she was able to keep the aether foundations main goal of obtaining Ultra beasts unknown to the public while creating new Pokémon (Silvally), with the same ability as Arceus, a God. She probably would let personal matters or beauty get in the way, resulting in fights or arguments though. Team Yell have no real Villain while Rose isn’t that smart if he thinks dealing with an event that will happen in 1000 years, right then without help. As for Cyrus, I would think that he has the intelligence to do well in any game that requires intelligence, and he probably would be able to think of many plans that he can use. I would think he would be above average in strength since he used to tinker with machinery, meaning he would have to carry around heavy equipment and do hard work (if he didn’t have Pokémon help). I think others stand a chance, but I personally think Cyrus would win, even without Pokémon.

I would say Tails would have a higher chance then Shadow at surviving the glass challenge. Because unlike how you said there was two times Tails was manipulated. Shadow's ego would have put him at a higher risk of going ahead of the others if lines like: "if YOU'RE the ultimate life form. YOU should know what glass is safe." Followed by: "why not go ahead of me and prove it?" Pluss, as you mentioned before. Tails is smart. The show and games show that he can see the small details that others can't. So he'd be able to notice what glass to step on. And in the final fight after Shadow falls? Tails may have the disadvantage in abilities. He has the patents and awareness to at least put up a worthy fight if not barely win.
But, Shadow in the games has been altered so many times. I think he is talking about 06, Heroes and SA2 Shadow, so, no, Shadow isn’t that gullible as he was smart enough to manipulate Eggman.

When he gets compared to Sonic(outside the Shadow game) he jumps to most challenges to prove he's number one.

When writing the script for this, I noticed how, when analyzing each game, Silver's abilities/skills could actually come in handy in many different scenarios. As for why Chip made it as far as he did, it seemed likely he could actually make through Red Light Green Light if he really focused on the task at hand, which he showed he could do when fighting Dark Gaia. For Honeycomb, with how small he is, he would probably have an easier time making small cuts. In the Midnight Brawl, his small size and his ability to fly would make him difficult to hit in most cases.
Hopefully that helps it make a little more sense.
@@silverstorm323 They did make a notable error for Silver with marbles tho: they forgot to take into acount how naive he is which makes him rather easy to manipulate. They basically got the survival order for Silver and Rouge in reverse.

I feel it would be more likely for sonic to lose later on. He can be steady and patient even though its not what he's known for but haven't seen that from jet so he would definitely lose there.
And I think rouge can manipulate others a little bit easier than others can manipulate her. So its highly possible she could make it to the glass section at least.
