I am definitely keeping it when I return to work. Thanks to Beardbrand for their inspirational & informative videos, like this one.

This is the first time I've grown my beard out in my 30s, the last time was about 10 years ago. Started growing it the first day of lockdown and I'm 8 weeks in so far. Loving the videos you guys are putting out!
That's a lot of positivity to all the beard growing people. Thanks Greg. I actually started to grow mine before the COVID madness in January. I am enjoying all the new stages of length and have to say, sometimes these beard videos were the only motivation that kept me going.
I noticed a large improvement in my beard between 34 to now 38 , and I agree 100 percent about letting it go because at first it can look patchy and thin I’m spots but once it fills in it looks much better. So my advice is do let it go at least 3 months and push three the times that make you want to shave. It’s worth it 👍
I have also started growing my first beard now at 18 years old and just over those 4 weeks it has changed so much from looking really weird to looking like a full on beard . Really happy about that
Nice - now you can get an idea for what things will look like in month two. Then, in month two, you'll have an idea for what things will look like in month three and so on. 😉 -Sly
Hi Greg. I'm 32 years old and on March 6th I started working from home due to the outbreak (I live in Europe). Since then I let my beard grow out. By now it looks amazing. I never realized my beard had such potential. It isn't perfect (yes I have some patches), but that doesn't bother me. I just like the overall look. Especially my mustache and goatee are astonishing. I'm proud of the first result and will keep it growing. Thank you very much for your positive attitude and inspiration.
Im an Italian American I have been MOSTLY bearded since 1994 when I was 16 a few times I shaved the sides and kept a goatee grew a few Van dykes, french beard, clean shaved etc but mostly fully bearded at different lengths. You can see my beard volume in the few videos I put on my channel years ago my beard has been pretty much as thick as 16 as it is now at 46 except, I didn't have the Connection around the Goatee area until I was about 25
I am 48 years old, and I am growing my first beard. I started on may 11th, 2020, taking advantage of the quarantine. I have always had issues growing my beard, because I have a very patchy one, not like Keanu Reeves, but a little bit more than him (I guess) I just bumped into this video and seems great to have moral support, as well as visual material to watch and to encourage ourselves to keep going, and go further from our usual 30 days growing period. I must admit that, this is the first time I had go this far, and I am already happy with what I am looking at. Thanks Greg for your advice and for sharing your beard-knowledge with us. At 47, first time beard has come in well though more grey on the sides than expected. Wife hated it at first but now loves it. Keeping it short and neat and trimming to around 14mm on the face and around a 12mm under my neck. Love it!!!
I’m 30 and have grown my facial hair before but I’ve never gone over a month and always ended up shaving it all off by week 2 or 3. Now, for the first time in my life, I’m going to grow it out until I’m satisfied with how it looks. I’m super excited and I thank you for the video and the tips. #coronabeard
Hi, this is my 2nd beard ever. 1st one I grew for a few years in my early 20's. Now, with lockdown, growing one again. I'm 67. Two major things I have noticed. Back then in my 20's it was very patchy and very dark, now it's almost white but no patchiness at all! My profile photo was at 5 weeks. I'm going to keep it growing, then have it styled when we are all out of lockdown. It has had lots of compliments. Michael
I’ll be 50 this summer and this is the first time I ever grew my beard out. It’s been challenging. But I do like what I am seeing since I started April 1st
Growing my first beard right now also , I feel like there are many flaws but many of my friends have gave me positive feedback and I’m going to keep growing for now , taking it one week at a time
Love the positivity! I’ve been watching your vids and beard brand vids for a while now! I’m 32 and just now growing my beard only for the 2nd time, I’m loving it!! I’ve done all trimming and care by myself based off of watching the beard brand and your videos! Much love! Keep up the good vibes!
Great beards guys! I’m growing out my first proper beard during this quarantine too. I’m 6 weeks in. It’s not perfect but it’s mine and I love it. If you’re in your late teens or mid 20s and your beard is far from perfect, don’t worry, I couldn’t grow anything worth snot until around 26? And it’s still getting better and better. I think my beard will be fully mature around my early to mid 30s. Beard on gents!!
Good advice - your beard will look different as you grow in age and time. You just gotta have fun in the journey and learn to love the beard you can grow today. 🤜 - Sly
This is the type of comment I was hoping to see. I'm 21 now but I have only goatee. Every male member in my family has full beard. Your comment really gave me hope.
Rahul Yogi thanks! Glad I could offer some hope. You’re still so young. I remember trying to grow out my first beard at 21 and it looked awful. Just awful. I kinda gave up at that point and then probably 3 or 4 years later it started to take more form. I’m 28 now and I think my beard is good enough to grow out! But I still have good and bad beard days but overall I think it looks good. If you want you could try using minoxidil for about a year and see what happens to you.
@@jackkelly3697 I will wait for 3 more years. If I couldn't grow more than goatee at that time then I will use minoxidil. I have heard that with age beard quality and thickness improves.
Thank you for the feature Greg, first ever beard at 37. Took a lot of convincing to get the wife on board but she loves it now. Can’t wait to see what the beard will look like after a long while.
I am 15 and quite suprised how much hair I have on my face in 5 weeks of growth. I have been watching beardbrand videos quite a bit since the beginning of quarantine. Thanks for the vid Mr. Berzinsky!
My beard is 1 month old and people are prone to tell me I look like a terrorist, despite the fact that my beard is in fact groomed. The disrespect is infuriating
I had patchy beard 1 month in, 2 months in, 3 months in. Better but still could see the patches. At about 4 months the patches are gone. Moral of the story, don't give up. I nearly did but my beard now looks full. It just took me a lot longer than most. Keep going and keep growing. Every day is better!
Great video Greg. At 44, I’m in my 6th week of growth (first time trying in over 20 years) & have been documenting with pics. 1st major milestone is to grow to 13 weeks and then grow beyond... I really think I’m gonna need close to a year to get what I want. For me it’s gonna be all about time & length. Beard on Brutha you have a great one 👊🏽
Your beard is epic as always. But I'm not crazy about the massive mustache when you're talking through a 'hair curtain.' I'm wondering if that's a common opinion of other ladies. But I like to see a healthy smile. Mouths are so expressive and when they are too covered, it diminishes the overall look. You have good looks in spades, but you take it to the next level when the mustache is a bit shorter.
Ladies don't care about your beard nearly as much as other guys do. Girls tell me I have nice eyelashes and eyebrows probably cause those two are a part of their daily routine but guys don't give a shit about it and only talk about my somewhat stubble/beard
I'm still just this side of 40, and I'm still getting more beard hair... I have been able to grow a great beard for years, since my early 20's, but I consistantly keep getting more and more beard hairs as I age. It's a very interesting thing.
I’m 33 and I have never grown a beard for longer than three weeks.. I’m on week five as of yesterday and I don’t hate it anymore.. All of the sketchy patches have filled in enough that I feel confident for the first time in my life. I’m going to give it four months at least and see how I feel. It’s exciting!!!
50 years old....had a goatie for a few years....but now growing a beard for the first time. I think it is here to stay! Thnx for the great vids! Greetings from the Netherlands.
I have had a beard on and off for the last 30 years. Usually when I don't have one, use a beard trimmer on no 0. Never really clean shaven. I don't really like the look. Feel a bit like a women.
I couldn't grow a beard in my 20s. Much better when I turned 30,then connected. very even and not patchy. Far thicker now. I usually have facial hair on and off, done that for years. Letting it get longer at the moment , no where to go. Re profile picture.
This is the longest I’ve grown my facial hair. I never thought I could grow a beard. but now that I’m at the 2 month mark. It’s really starting to fill in. The patches are covering themselves up.
I’m 62 and started my full beard just 2 weeks ago. It’s not my first full growth but it’s been 20+ years since the last one. I had a solid beard back then with only a very small patch on my cheeks near the moustache that became less and less noticeable as the beard grew in. Here we are 20 years later and those small patches have filled in with new growth so no more patches! So my beard has continued to thicken into my 60s and it grows fairly high on my cheeks so it’s full with high coverage. The only issue is that it’s now mostly gray and I think I’d like it better if it was just all gray. Can’t wait to see it in another month or two!
I am growing my first beard as well. I am 29 and I am surprised that it is growing thicker than I thought and my friends tell me that I look good with it. I wouldn't have grown it if it wasn't because of your advice, so thank you 🤘🏻
I happened to have shaved off my beard one week before corona hit and I'm at about an inch of growth at six weeks. Letting it go as much as I can without losing my "executive" look.
I'm 37 and 4 weeks into growing my beard. First time growing it mainly because I always had to look professional and didn't have time for the "awkward stage". I've got about 3/8 inch so far and full coverage. Wish I had done this long ago!
Hi, I am 65 and have not worn a beard for many years....since my late 30's. I am now, as the quarantine gives me the chance to let it grow. It is now 30 days and filling in nicely - I am liking the gray also.....I am now balding and buzzing my hair, so I am looking forward to the results. Love the videos about beard care encouragement. Jay
I got to a similar point with my beard my previous semester of university but the sides always embarrassed me since they extended and curled out a lot, so i trimmed it down. letting my beard go wild in quarantine though gave me the confidence and opportunity to try taking down the sides and leaving the bottom long. Holy crap what a difference.
Good day Greg! I’m 55 yrs old and growing my 1st beard goin on 7weeks and do have less on my side but more growth up front but I’m goin all the way and letting it grow.thank you for the confidence and challenge I do appreciate it.
That sounds like me. I’m about 8 weeks in right now. About same age. Very thin on sides. But 2 bald spots on either side of chin are starting to get covered by longer hairs. I hope I can hold out for another couple months and see what it looks like.

Hi Greg, will you doing a second part of this section? I missed this one, and i'd like to have the oportunity of sharing my #CoronaBeard and receive some sugestions.
I’ve had a beard on and off (mostly on) the past 7 years. I mostly sport a short beard, but I haven’t touched mine in 8 weeks. It’s grey and wild and I’m feeling it!
8:24 I was exactly like that, i kept looking at beards online and saying mine looked like crap. Now i don't even bother thinking about it. I grew accustomed to my beard and since mostly everyone has complimented my beard, i stopped worrying. Don't worry guys, the patches will eventually disappear if you have enough follicles on those areas. The patches on the sides of my soul patch started showing sigs of coverage at about 5 months. I started to see small hairs, now while its not fully covered, the hairs are 1/4 long, so i know its gonna get covered. Stop comparing your beards to others, it only makes you miserable and causes stress and as we all know, stress isn't good for beards :)
I'm 53, growing my first long beard. Also, have never had hair this long. I confess, if the barber shops were open I probably would have gotten it cut by now. Not sure I can handle the longer hair, but l'm liking the beard. Just have to figure out how to make it look presentable for work.
been growing my beard for 5 years and I am 24 now got a full beard 5 years ago it was a pachy mess so don't give up keep on letting it grow out the patches will fill in with time and patience
Im 20 years old im start growing my beard, there is still a lots of patchy area in my face. But its unique im chinese and realise i have beard, its not perfect but i will keep and growth my beard. Thanks greg!
Incredible positive vibes here. Grew my beard for my the duration of my partners pregnancy with my daughter, it was ok at first but 7 months in it really filled in and I loved it. I shaved it off the day she arrived. I was elated that day but felt a little naked for the first few weeks. Fun journey though.
I'm finally embracing that I am not a sideburns/cheeks guy, but I can grow a hell of a Hollywoodian. I keep my hair clipped close, so it looks put together. I'm 45, so it's getting no better...
Great video GB! I'm on day 49 and loving my beard. Its long enough to be messy but too short to style. Looking forward to the 90day mark. All the best 👍
I’m really surprised looking at these beards. I’m 20 years old from India and my beard is similar to the 30 year old at 6:42. I’ve grown my beard for at least 4 months now and I’ve got it trimmed a little. But I’ve noticed that the growth stops or is unnoticeable. Is there any way to make it grow longer or is it how beards work?
A lot of people’s beard have what’s called “Terminal length”. A lot like the hair on your arms don’t grow to a meter long. The same goes for beards. Some people can grow beards very long but some the hair stops growing after a certain length, or it just slows down compared to how fast it was growing. And yes, genetics has a lot to do with beard growth and thickness. But there isn’t anything you can really do about it to change it unless you can manipulate DNA. Keep growing it out and keep the trimming to a minimum. You can usually tell you are reaching “terminal length” if the longest part of your beard looks thin compared to the rest and it just isn’t growing very fast like it use to. Just trim up the ends to make it look full again and see if it grows any more. Much love!! Hope this helped!!!!
This video was really uplifting! It's not the first time I grow a beard, but I'm taking it to new heights with Minoxidil during these corona times. I've noticed some effects already, and it's exciting to see how thick it can become. I'm 31 and I'd say my beard is quite dense, but still has more potential. It's a bit sparse on my cheeks and soul patch area, but thick enough for a full beard to work. I'm going for a combination of a longer van dyke with a short beard elsewhere, with very careful/light trimming while growing it out. I've grown it for almost 7 weeks so far, and I'm suspecting it will take at least 5 months until the goatee reaches the length I want (longer if I fuck up trimming... it happens.) I'm really proud of my beard and I love caring for it.
Growing a beard also takes time for you to get use to seeing yourself in the mirror. In the beginning you will criticize your look but over time you will grow to accept your growth pattern.
I started late, currently about 2 weeks, a bit less. Itchy phase. Going to push through it and get a nice beard. Good luck to you guys also trying to grow a beard!
@@smoke6534 Some areas are still not as covered as I'd want them to be. No more itchiness though so it's just easy to let it grow. I do use some beard oil and shampoo/conditioner so maybe that helps with the itchiness. My mustache is definitely getting annoying, might have to trim it soon, for some reason the middle of my left and right mustache is growing down, making it look like some kind of vampire fangs, it's ridiculous.
My facial hair came in super fast. At 12 I was super patchy. At 13, my mom made me shave my patches. At 16 I went hiking in the Rockies and noticed how huge my beard was. At 18 I was able to grow a full face of hair.
Repent and trust in Jesus. Hes the only way. We deserve Hell because weve sinned. Lied, lusted stolen, etc. But God sent his son to die on the cross and rise out of the grave. We can receive forgiveness from Jesus. Repent and put your trust in him. John 3:16 Romans 3:23❤❤😊❤
Nice, I am a little over a month into mine. I did not get any facial hair until I was almost 30. I have a full beard now, just a very late bloomer. The big 40 is coming up fast; no gray hair and no baldness on top thank goodness.
My dad has a corporate beard. His journey was: clean shave until early 20s goatee (no stache) brief clean shave corporate beard, occasional no stache or trimmed to nearly stubble but always had hair on cheeks and chin and jaw usually on upper lip.
aged 48 and growing out my beard for the first time. Only two weeks in. I'm half oriental and never been able to grow sideburns - it'll be interesting to see what happens after three months or so. Have a look at some of my YT videos to see how thin my beard is!
I've been growing my Corona beard for 3.5 years and it's only 9". Granted I get almost 1/4" trimmed of length to reduce transparency every 8 weeks. I'm 48 going on 55 (feels that way any how). If your older like me maybe try some supplements. I started to take biotin (didn't see much improvement) about a month and a half ago. Started taking collagen peptides about two and a half weeks ago and it seems to be working. Now I take both.
I'm 61 years old and about ten weeks into what Greg calls a 'first time beard'! I guess every cloud has a silver lining, even lockdown. The days I wake up and hate it I will resist the urge to shave it off. Let's see where we are in another few weeks.
Greg, I know that you are a latebloomer when it came to growing a full beard as you told me this yourself. I have one question and I hope I get an honest answer. I know you didn’t use minoxidil to stimulate your beard growth. But are you by any chance on TRT? I am 39 and considering it myself. As my testosteron levels are dropping fast. If it did help you with getting a full beard that would be an awesome bonus.
You're worst critic is yourself. Don't worry about your beard guys. Any shade is good shade. Just clean it up and maintain the bold areas and you'll be fine.
One year later and Corona is still a thing. But at least now it seems like we can see the end of it. I have grown my beard out for the first time. It has taken a few months now and I too have patches that i wish i didn't have. Every other day I'm thinking of trimming it, but every other day I love my red beard. So far I'm keeping it and my stash is getting pretty cool. I just hope that time will take care of the patches. You are a great inspiration for new bearders like me. You rock Greg, you majestic silverfox🤘
My beard right now at 27 years old is a huge difference to when i was 24 (last time i grew out my beard a lot) and i was so suprised. It's a lot thicker.
I’ve been growing it since late October with three maintenance trims. I was thinking about just leaving the way it was in March, but have decided to keep it going. Working on six months after starting with a full beard at 1/2 inch. Kind of glad that quarantine has forced me to just wait though my Brio does tempt me at times.
Started growing out my beard since I got laid off because of the virus (March 17) first time growing it out.. recently got beard oil, balm and wash.. I like it and my wife loves it so its not going away anytime soon!

@Ed Gein I dont get that reference but I'm pretty sure it's different for everyone. I've not had a single ounce of soy with low to medium coverage after 7 weeks.
Joshua Carter soy kills testosterone in men
Jamie Hitchman this has long been disproven, soy does not decrease testosterone. It is a common myth
Joshua Carter it’s not true, don’t listen to him
Joshua Carter Well it’s myth, soy = phyto estrogen, it lowers testosteron. To much of it cause man boobs, more fat, and hormone disbalance.

My Arthur Morgan looked like this by the end of RDR2 :)
Respect.❤
Michael
Looking good ma dude! Keep it coming
Awesome beard sir. 👍
OneGloriousBastard Thank you Sir!
Judge Doom Kind of you to say so my friend !
I love how he always comfort us patchy bearded guys and push us beyond 30 days ❤️
Lock down was the best. Really enjoyed the peace, quiet and empty streets.
There's only one word to describe this guy...
MAJESTIC!
I’ll be 50 this summer and this is the first time I ever grew my beard out. It’s been challenging. But I do like what I am seeing since I started April 1st
Growing my first beard right now also , I feel like there are many flaws but many of my friends have gave me positive feedback and I’m going to keep growing for now , taking it one week at a time
Started my corona special beard ... Let's see how it goes
Graig is what I expect god to look like 💯... Someone please get him in a movie 💯
Graig...? 🤦♂️
This guy easily could have been in game of thrones
agreed

Rahul Yogi it definitely does my friend
Thank you for the feature Greg, first ever beard at 37. Took a lot of convincing to get the wife on board but she loves it now. Can’t wait to see what the beard will look like after a long while.
I am 15 and quite suprised how much hair I have on my face in 5 weeks of growth. I have been watching beardbrand videos quite a bit since the beginning of quarantine. Thanks for the vid Mr. Berzinsky!
My beard is 1 month old and people are prone to tell me I look like a terrorist, despite the fact that my beard is in fact groomed.
The disrespect is infuriating
I have my beard for more than two years and really changed my life for the best!
Greg's such a chill dude, he can just talk to you and all your problems would disappear
"Near the end of the pandemic"...."over in 8 weeks"..."2 weeks in"....

I'm still just this side of 40, and I'm still getting more beard hair... I have been able to grow a great beard for years, since my early 20's, but I consistantly keep getting more and more beard hairs as I age. It's a very interesting thing.
Mine has got much better in the last few years.
Hi, also growing my beard for the first time ever with almost 44 years. Where can I send the pictures?
Today marked my 3 months of my first beard. Definitely love it and looks alright, I guess you can say it’s growing on me 🙂
From 21 to 22 years old, I went from hardly any facial hair at all to a full thick face full of hair. It will come in at some point. Patience is key
bro most arabs gain beards easily 😊
I am growing my first beard as well. I am 29 and I am surprised that it is growing thicker than I thought and my friends tell me that I look good with it. I wouldn't have grown it if it wasn't because of your advice, so thank you 🤘🏻
I can’t grow as thick a beard as this handsome gent, but his videos have given me the confidence to rock my patchy beard. It’s my unique plumage

I’m 27, This is my first time growing and it’s super heavy under my chin and so thin on my cheeks but I’m really liking it
Hi Greg, will you doing a second part of this section? I missed this one, and i'd like to have the oportunity of sharing my #CoronaBeard and receive some sugestions.
I’ve had a beard on and off (mostly on) the past 7 years. I mostly sport a short beard, but I haven’t touched mine in 8 weeks. It’s grey and wild and I’m feeling it!
Nice!
-Ben
This has helped me a lot with my confidence I was beginning to consider shaving it off but I'm going to keep it growing
When i was 18 i had a beard like the guy talking it started at age 13 now i am 34 and its getting grey for 40 %
8:24 I was exactly like that, i kept looking at beards online and saying mine looked like crap.
Started feb.14, 2020, mines is about 2 months and still looks same Length I would call mines a Corporate beard.
Right on, man - the Corporate Beard Style is a good looking style. 😎 -Sly
U make all of my beard dreams come true
Im 20 years old im start growing my beard, there is still a lots of patchy area in my face. But its unique im chinese and realise i have beard, its not perfect but i will keep and growth my beard. Thanks greg!
Incredible positive vibes here. Grew my beard for my the duration of my partners pregnancy with my daughter, it was ok at first but 7 months in it really filled in and I loved it. I shaved it off the day she arrived. I was elated that day but felt a little naked for the first few weeks. Fun journey though.
im in my 60s with a big beard you my friend are awesome
This guy is fucking awesome. They don't make Men like this very often.
Greg is one of a kind

I grew my 1st time beard now in quarantine
I started late, currently about 2 weeks, a bit less. Itchy phase. Going to push through it and get a nice beard.
Good luck to you guys also trying to grow a beard!
How is it now a month in?
Dang I wish I had your genetics, I'm 27 and patchy 🥲

Started my Rona beard March 18 and it's now turned in to my second year beard
I tried to grow one for almost 3 weeks. Had a really patchy neck beard and mustache. 21 is not ready for me yet.
Keep watering the soil, keep feeding it, keep giving it plenty of sun and it will grow.
Nice, I am a little over a month into mine. I did not get any facial hair until I was almost 30. I have a full beard now, just a very late bloomer. The big 40 is coming up fast; no gray hair and no baldness on top thank goodness.
My dad has a corporate beard.
His journey was:
clean shave until early 20s
goatee (no stache)
brief clean shave
corporate beard, occasional no stache or trimmed to nearly stubble but always had hair on cheeks and chin and jaw usually on upper lip.
He now has medium-heavy stubble most of the time
This is a really good video idea
aged 48 and growing out my beard for the first time.
Usually, I trim my beard and shape it up, but I'm very happy with just letting it go! A bit surprised with what is starting to show!
Under my lip I notice I’m growing new hair that didn’t have before
Greg, I know that you are a latebloomer when it came to growing a full beard as you told me this yourself.
I'm 18 and i was growing my corona beard for 20 days unfortunately i couldn't resist the urge to shave my beard. Here i am starting to grow it again
