For fonts that have glyphs/extras such as tails, is there a way to access them in XCS? I have been designing in Silhouette Studio when I need to use the glyphs but would love to access them in in XCS as then it would be easier to modify my texts. Thanks!
Hi, The only way I can see to access the glyphs is to use the alt key, so you would really need to know the number assigned to each glyph you would like to use such as 'Alt + 0176' etc. You just need to go to the text tool and then hold alt and type a number then release and you will have a glyph. You could try a few different numbers and keep trying until you know which ones you want to use and write them down or see if you can find out there alt number somehow? Thanks Gav
Actually I have just found a way for you: If you are using a windows computer then just click on the windows icon on the bottom left and start typing 'character map' and open this little program up. Once open then choose your font and click on the glyph you want and then look at the bottom right of the little program window and it will show you the alt number to use!
Thanks so much for all that you share. I've learnt so much from you.
Thanks for watching 😀
Is there a true single line font witch looks a bit like arial. It would take a lot less time to score the text
There are a few single line fonts yes, they normally come with a CAD or CAM program but most of them aren't really very nice to be honest.
