- How to engrave on clear acrylic with a diode laser? Watch this!
You don't need a CO2 laser and it can easily be done with a few laser engraving tips and tricks with the Xtool S! diode laser.
Christmas Sale until 12/26. Get the S1 here: bit.ly/3RoXB2T
So far I've tested out basswood, plywood, black acrylic, clear acrylic, cardboard, card stock, and leather. With a little testing all have turned out great. I would highly suggest do test samples on each piece of material and thickness prior to doing the real thing. "It will save you tumblers"

**Important steps when engraving clear acrylic with a diode laser:
-Use a backer of some sort (I like black card stock)
-Focus the laser to the bottom of the acrylic
-Low settings
-Quick wash
-No touchy!

Happy Holidays, thanks for a great year!
We've done everything from tool reviews, go kart builds, ton of welding and finished off with some engraving.
What do you want to see more of?
This is content made by a guy who has endured way too many drug out, long-winded tutorial videos and decided to be the change he wants to see.
Good work, man.
Thanks, appreciate it!
Thank you! Any idea where to get the acrylic sticky backing that you mentioned?
Thanks!
Any idea where to get the sticky paper to put on the acrylic after drying?
Hello, can you tolde me exactly what is the paper that you use it please?
Thank you
Thank you so much for this video! Is there a reason to put a piece of plywood under the cardstock? Could it sit on the baseplate instead?
Yes it can but I like the plywood because sometimes it will be a little hot and bleed through the paper and kinda makes a mess on the plywood.
Thank you very much after so much searching for what I wanted to know! Do you think that someone starting from scratch is better to opt for an engraver with an integrated camera to facilitate niclavoric series? Type M1 or P2...thanks for your time to answer me!
Not sure what a niclavoric series is but I would say if you plan to do multiple things at once then yes the camera would be beneficial and save time. If just doing larger or one or two items at a time then the S1 is great.
Thanks for your kind reply
Thanks for showing this.
I’m still trying the wood, i hope to try clear later. did you also cut this on the S1 ?
I usually do this on my CNC with a diamond Drag bit then I can also cut it out Can we use the S1 to cut away the Cast acrylic but you don’t need
Right on with the diamond bit. The S1 being a diode laser can cut dark color acrylic but not clear.
Thank you
Hello, You think the 20W may do this? Or is it exclussive to the 40W
He uses 15 percent so im guessing the 20 watt at 30 percent would get the same results
@@Swiftstyle Thanks I will try that...
@@cubansli3099 wondering if you tried with the 20w? Did it work?
@@lisafarris9832 No, I purchased a K40 CO2 Laser to do this work. Had to many issue with the scratching and paper burning on the plex.
@@lisafarris9832 I used a 10w 25/235 and it came out pretty good.
Unfortunately I forgot of I use black marker or just card paper lol
HOLA ME GUSTARIA SABER COMO SE LLAMA EL PAPLE QUE PONE DEBAJO DEL ACRILICO GRACIAS
Es cartulina

HI THANK YOU. WHAT KIND OF STICKY PAPER
WHY ARE YOU YELLING
500 mm per second or per minute?
500mm/second. Keep in mind that is max speed and most engraving jobs need to be done slower.
@@-DIYPRO- wow ok. This is to keep temperature down?
@@sblack48 Im guessing so, otherwise itl go through I think
