I came back to watch part of this one again so that I could make a slotted divider for my essential oils. Looks like it should work well. Thank you for teaching me skills that I'm able to combine and use in other projects!
I just watched all of your content and I must say this is the best how to xtool info I have found so far in all you tube! Thank you and Keep 'em coming!
Hi, It just depends on your material thickness really, I would suggest measuring the thickness of each material before cutting, as all materials have a tolerance meaning they could be thicker or thinner than advertised. But I have found over the years that is just as easy to cut the slots out at the advertised thickness and then give one a very light sand in the middle if its a bit tight, but normally they go together quite well without. Thanks Gav.
Hi, Yes you can with the star but I just wanted to show you how to do it on all items such as the tree where you can't just copy and paste and rotate 180. Thanks Gav
I am having a problem with the subtract. I got it to work on the first star after multiple tries but it will not work on the second star. I am follow exact directions. Any help???? Thank you 🙏
Hi, If you have problems with the subtract function then all you will need to do is: Right click on the Rectangle and go to 'Arrange' then select 'Bring to Front' which should work. All this does is make the rectangle on top of the star so it knows how to cut them out of each other. Thanks Gav

Thanks for watching 😀 It really helps me to grow my channel, As long as people watch then I will continue to make these 😀 Thanks Gav
Do you need a bit of tolerance to allow them to slide together?

I don't know if I am missing something , but after you create the slot on the first star, can't you just copy and paste it the rotate 180.
