At last someone has reacted to this version. The "are you high?" section has always been a wonder to me. It must have been mind blowing to have been there. My favourite band for over 40 years. Love it.
Thank You!! I remember renting this VHS video & watching it on a 27 Tube TV. I was completely blown away. I have yet to see any MAN sound like HALFORD live. 2023
My wife used to tease me and say that I really show my age with my music taste. Then after hearing Priest enough to start really listening she fell in love with them and Rob's voice. Now she is a huge fan and I catch her watching Priest videos without me, confirming she is a true believer.

The metal boys from Birmingham. Before they made a name for themselves, they regularly played around clubs and pubs in Birmingham city centre, which meant I was able,to see them on numerous occasions. I for one was delighted when they landed a recording contract and then began taking their music to the masses. This song is one of their finest..no keyboards..just pulsating guitar riffs and thundering drums. Sabina..a happy looking reaction..savouring the ground trembling groove.
Yes, a definite classic that they don't play too often anymore. However, I got to see them at Power Trip in October in the desert that's the Coachella Valley. They brought it back; they had to play Desert Plains in the desert!!
This was my favorite band for many, many years and I have seen them live seven times. Rob would hit notes, These super powerful, perfectly pitched, bell-like resonances that would hurt your ears. An aural weapon.
I'm 56 and to hear Rob Halford sing in the 80's was incredible. His vocal range made your ears bleed , lol. Amazing to say the the least. You cannot imagine unless you were there. LOVE your reaction. It was so AWESOME to hear this back then. Thank you for appreciating the true talent of the 80's because it will NEVER be duplicated.
Oddly I actually prefer his voice now more than then. His aged 70s voice sounds more metal to me and works for a lot of his songs better. I much more prefer how he sounds now doing Green Manilishi than he did way back when
I love old Judas Priest! This is your second video I have watched. I really enjoy your unique style of adding written commentary instead of interrupting. Super cool concept, and I look forward to watching more of your content. Thanks for all of your hard work. I appreciate 🙏 it. Sorry that I am just now finding it. Iron Maiden & Judas Priest are the ones that made a Metalhead out of me back in the 80s! Never seen this live version,it was nice to see them in their prime!Good choice!!!Next Judas Song suggestion : The Sentinel - An absolute banger!!
Thanks for the nice trip. The whole album "Point of Entry" is very good. The Priest "Live" album is one you would probably like, or British Steel, Unleashed in the East, etc...We won't see another band like this in our lifetime. Long Live JP!!!
the Fuel for Life tour, Dallas TX, is the best place to "REACT" to Priest, it's literally Judas Priest in their prime, and not just Halford, but the whole band. Halford hits the highest note ever recorded of him in "Love Bites" of that show, it's a G#6
My first concert was Judas Priest in 1981. When Rob rode his Harley onto stage for the encore, it was a totally mind-blowing experience. The concussion of the noise was like getting punched in the chest
One of my top five bands of all time. This was filmed in Memphis in 1982 I believe. I saw them a year later on the Defenders of the Faith Tour. Then later on Painkiller. Check out Victim of Changes live at US Festival 83. The best 🤘
This band has always mastered its heavy metal. Their albums are all a logical continuation of the creation of this band which has always evolved without copying anyone. With honesty, it will endure over time.
I wish you could go back too, I feel so blessed to have been 18 in 1982, the amount of metal greats I was able to see in their prime was just a gift! Great reaction, thank you!
I went to this show in Baltimore in 82 opening for Iron Maiden. Sounded even better live. Judas Priest is in my top 3 favorite bands of all time. ALL HAIL THE METAL GODS!!!!
Hey cool a reaction video that wasn't Painkiller haha. I saw this tour. It was amazing. They really sounded incredible. There was a kind of echo in the little arena. Amazing. One of my favorite concerts I've ever seen and heard in my life
this version is probably the most played tune on my laptop,i was in a band with origal members of subhumans and disorder, both legend uk punk bands and we found a new singer who is quite metal, punk but classisally trained in opera,so the first thing i did was sent her this version to practice for our first ever cover i cant wait to hear her version, halford was in his f££kin peak when he sung this, its a masterclass in range in metal vocals, bless up!thank u!xxxx
I saw this tour live back in 1982 in New York City and it was insane all the shows are, you hear his voice but you feel it it comes from within you in your chest just pounding
You're video just came up on my feed. We metalheads are a passionate bunch. I am 52. I first heard Judas Priest when I was 11. NEVER stopped listening. Ever. Metal got me through some bad times. What I want you to know is the Holy Trinity of Metal....they are 3 vocalists.....Bruce Dickinson of Iron Maiden, Rob Halford of Judas Priest and Ronnie James Dio of Rainbow/Black Sabbath and then his own band. The music never left my body and I have branched out to other genres of music as I have become older, but heavy metal will always be home and the most important.
Hello Sabina, i hope you had a wonderful christmas time. Thank you for this reaction. That was the best performance of this song i could find on youtube. I loved this song so much 20 years ago. I think you enjoyed it also
The first time I saw them was in February of 78 when they opened for Foghat and I would turn 13 a few days later. No leather then. Then they came back 6 months later touring for Hell Bent for Leather and they were wearing leather. I've been fortunate to see the 17 times but haven't seen them since the Epitaph tour. I got a guitar pick from K.K. from that concert.
@@markwilliams6394 Quite the days! If he remember correctly I had the choice of seeing this or Van Halen at the Syracuse Carrier Dome. @Daniel Casey Yes, it was a good times back then. I still have the ticket stub for the JP/Foghat show. It cost $6.50 back then and that was $1.50 more than the Styx concert the month before. I saw Van Halen in 78 also. They opened for Black Sabbath.
Yep Judas Priest is absolutely 💯 heavy metal and try exploring maybe some 70s Priest songs like Victim of changes or Beyond the Realms of death. Bangers 🔥
Great reaction! I love the Priest getting the recognition they deserve! I have been to a lot of shows, and the only other two voices that effect me like this are Ted Neeley of jesus Christ Superstar fame, and Canadian harpist Loreena McKennitt. In a live performance, their voices literally go right through you!😳
Great choice of video. I'm 60 years old and saw this Judas Priest concert tour in 1983 in Phoenix Arizona USA. This was the "Screaming for Vengeance" tour. The lead singer Rob Halford lives in the Phoenix area and I've seen him around town and talked to him a few times. His voice is one of a kind and you are right I would love to join you in the time machine and live the 80's heavy metal scene all over again. It was so much fun and exciting. The screams are hard to do. I can do them sometimes. I played in bands in the 80's that never went anywhere. It's fun to sing along to these fun songs. The Judas Priest version of Green Manalishi also has some great screams in it and so does Victim of Changes. Check them out too.
My favorite band. My first exposure to them was in 1980. A local band would play the Green Manalishi. British Steel was released. I would warm up my trombone before band class with Breaking the Law. Point of Entry came out soon after. I was in love with Desert Plains and Solar Angels. Then I learned about Unleashed In The East, Hell Bent for Leather, Stained Class, Sin After Sin, Sad Wings of Destiny and RockaRolla. So much great music! Posters covered my walls. Then Screaming for Vengeance came out. What??? Bought my first studded wristband after that. Got to see them live for the first time in 1985 on their Defenders of the Faith tour.
First time I saw them was on their Screamin for Vengeance tour. Loudest show I've ever been to. Amazing how KK and Glen could change leads so seamlessly.
This brings memorys from my more youthfull years without the grey hair and evenings at the youth hall with friends and a few bears. Thanks for this. Good times. Love from Sweden.
I saw them on that tour in the 3rd row, they had several dozen Marshall Amps in double stacks, when they turned that on, we looked at each other and laughed as we knew we would have our heads blown off! Clean volume though, it was a rush and they were experts at using it. Head rang for a couple days. Try Sinner or Victim of Changes from the same show, they killed it in Worcester, MA when I saw them, the best of the 7 or 8 times I saw them in the 70s & 80s. One of the very best. Enjoy! 🎵🎸🎤🎸🎶
I saw them about two weeks after this performance in my hometown. I was 17 then. This was definitely a highlight of the show. This tour was supporting their album "Screaming For Vengeance".
Judas Priest created the look of heavy metal, wearing leather and studs all the way back on their 1978 release, Killing Machine (renamed Hell Bent For Leather for USA release) which has remained the staple to this day, as well as helped pioneer the twin guitar attack which really beefed up the sound. I've seen Priest 5 times, the earliest was the Turbo Lover tour, and then finally just 2 months ago. They still sound good, but nothing compares to when they were young and completely on fire.
You described it very well! Delicious & YUMMY guitar solos! That was a big part of Metal in the 80's. You had to have very melodic & satisfying solos by your guitarists. It was just one of the staples that marked the time period for this genre of music.
Sorry, but Judas Priest was never underrated!Rob's Nickname is 'Metal God' ! He didn't get the title because he wasn't noticed!Till this Day they are an absolute 'must know' for every Metalhead!Judas and Maiden were the two who basically started the genere of NWOBHM.
@@-Heavy- Nah, They weren't always a Metal Band ( Early Seventies) and they do not get Radio play, in which they should. Black Sabbath are the Creators of Heavy Metal and some would say the Beatles wrote the first Heavy Metal Song, ( Helter Skelter). But I Love The priest! Rock ON!
Priest rules, this video brings a tear to my eye, I used to have my amp sitting right beside the stereo and I would jam with Priest every morning before school.

I saw them on this tour, and if I'm not mistaken Iron Maiden opened up for them. I know they played together on one of the tour's back then. Back in 80s the The Priest was on fire every time I saw them. Both bands still rocking today.
I actually got to give Bruce Dickinson pre and post show massages in Brooklyn 2-3 years ago, and we talked about this tour. He couldn't praise Priest highly enough, saying they were absolutely legendary night after night. I think it's possibly one of the greatest metal tours ever, both bands still young and absolutely blazing on all cylinders. I am seriously jealous!
@@choppingpenguin I remember after seeing Iron Maiden's full set, turning to my brother and saying, dude that's only half of it. We still got Priest coming on. It was definitely one of the best shows that I ever saw. And I got one of Bruce Dickinson's WestHam wristbands and one of KK's pics. I was in the third row center.
Just my opinion, but cooking for family and friends is so much more of a gift than just buying someone some knick-nack - you're creating something unique and sharing it with them which usually means more than just handing them something that anyone could do. Much more personal. And Copenhagen is a beautiful city - I was fortunate to be able to play there in '89 at Ungdomshuset. Merry Christmas!
This was during the Screaming for Vengeance tour.I saw them live, and Iron Maiden was the opening act. 1983. They are unbelievable live. But to appreciate their greatness, listen to the studio version of the songs, then live.... Very close. Also, try Beyond the Realms of Death off of Stained Class album.

I have seen them live a few times. Awesome experience.
Excellent singer vocal. Judas Priest Live at Memphis Tennessee 1983. Amazing classic Priest. Greetings from Las Vegas N.V. 👍🎼🥁🎼👍!!!. Excellent channel 🎼🎼🎼🎼👍👍👍👍
That's why their called The Metal God's !!!!
I was at the Painkiller concert in 1990 and it felt like an Earthquake, especially when he rode out on the Harley. This was a ballad.
My second concert I ever attended was Judas Priest on this tour. What an amazing experience.
Hi Sabina, I saw them live just a few years after this, they were great, the song I remember most is Turbo Lover. You should check it out.
Saw them live in Stockholm, 1984, super concert. Rob Halford has an amazing voice
They were the ones to the look of metal with the leather and studs kick ass band he'd 72 still singing you can't kill metal keep rocking
Yes, Judas Priest (and for the most part) all of 80's rock concerts were ELECTRIFYING
Rob Halfords vocals are 2nd to NONE! Period!
Awesome!
When I was in a band, this was a great song to play.
Greatest metal band ever
I resonate with the cooking part 🥰. I totally understand your feeling there.
I saw JP in 1980 and a couple of other times in the early 80s. They were at their peak then and truly amazing.
Lucky you!!
Eu também nunca tinha ouvido está música.. estava procurando algo novo.. e achei essa linda pérola. Essa é pra ouvir muito alto no carro. Bons momentos para você

Love Priest. Saw them in Detroit last October (2022) First time I saw them was on the Turbo tour, also in Detroit. I want to say 1986 or right around there.
