Hi Austin John! Thanks for all the Pokémon videos! I’m breeding for some shinies and had a question. Does breeding with two of the same Pokémon yield more eggs than a ditto and a Pokémon like older gens?
The rate of eggs is faster. The "like" each other system is still in place. Two of the same species will be faster than a ditto. The benefit of the ditto though is the flexibility and breeding capabilities of it.

i wish i had seen this video b4 i fought the Titans myself as i got told u can't catch them so i never tried to during my 1st playthrough of the game killing them all, then i later found out about the Titan badge and i was furious that i had been lied to.
I initially did not know that you could catch the titans after defeating them. So imagine my surprise when I came across Great Tusk just standing in the middle of the desert before the post game. I called him Manny, and he is a powerhouse team member when I faced the elite four :)
Wait so if you accidentally killed it…it won’t respawn?
7:31 I loooved seeing Orthworm for the first time! It’s a worm! It’s a train! It has little gummy hands!
Question, why the manual save? Just incase the game crashes? Also is there any perks with just having a few Pokémon on a team? Great video, thank you!!
Its in case you defeat it by accident, then you can reload your save.
@@juanpablorosas7056 ahhh makes total sense. Thank you!
I like that you also say "Get in the ball, Nebby!" When a Pokemon is being stubborn.
Is the all 6 on titans random like the norms? Or based on what lvl you are at in game. Caught one, but was not all 6.
I'm glad I'm not the only one who says "ohh critical capture everytime I get one"
I saw the paradox donphan chilling in the desert and thought it was a bug. Started a battle with him and accidentally killed it :(
Did the same to klawf...
Austin, I love all the videos you have been making for the launch of Pokemon Scarlet/Violet. Keep up the good work!
@@commiewhacker4033 thank you! I was lucky to get a foreign sprigatito in surprise trade so that should help speed up that hunt, or at least fewer picnics. Have a great day!
Yes but with egg power the difference is negligible
@@tomusmalleus I got 5 freaking Sprigetto's last night from surprise trades. Also got a Lv 100 Shiny Iron Valiant with 6 perfect IV's in a surprise trade....
@@ItApproaches yeah that's a hacked mon. don't use it in online play.
Ahhh! Only yesterday I noticed that Donphan randomly sitting there after I beat the titan. Was trying to throw balls at it, with no result. I thought it was just a game bug! 😂
Guess I’ll have to travel around the map again, and catch all the titans I’ve left behind. 😛
Thanks for letting us know. 👍🏼
That Shiny Klawf is amazing, I thought it would be green but that's way better! (Also I Really Like Green Shinys No Shade To Them)
i've been wondering why you cannot get Dodonzo with Tatsugiri on this titan hunt. either way, glad you had time to make this video.
I wonder when he’s gonna do the “best Pokémon for raid’s” video. I’ve built up iron hands and iron valiant but I’m still not quite sure what else I should build
spoiler, hands is OP
Future Donphan was a pain to deal with when it was still a titan so I went to terra raids to grind on EX candies to make a team strong enough to take it down.
I've auto battle grinded up to 40 before the second gym 😂
I love seeing you get so excited about seeing a random shiny pokemon. It's so real, and it reminds us that you are a true fan just as we all are. Keep on keeping on, Austin!
Just started a new Pkmn Scarlet file. While getting three gym badges, three titan badges (also using Great Tusk on my team), and two team star badges, I have found a total of eight shiny Pkmn (four caught, four evolved, shiny Bronzong is also on my team). This video and the Legend of Zelda Totk is making me a subcriber now, as a way of thanks for being helpful when guides were needed.
Austin you are missing another fast travel point at 8:02
Right below that Eevee event flying raid there is a nurse joy girl at a pop up pokemon center. If you heal your pokemon there it becomes a fast travel point.
thank you!
7:39 "Does he have early bird as an ability?" LMAO Good one Austin
Fun fact, you can only catch previously caught Pokémon with a crit capture, aka it’s just the caught Pokémon animation in this game
Damn. I never would have gone back to do this if I hadn’t seen your video!! Thank you thank you!
i have a question tho. are they one time catches or do they come back after some time? asking cuz there's no Titan mark on mine and i'd like to get them
You need to put them in your party to have the mark
That shiny klawf definitely deserves a like
Dude, I JUST passed the worm when I got the notification for this video. THANK YOU!!
Question, are critical captures garunteed on this gen now?! I have had crit caps fail lots over the years but it seems across the board on TH-cam that there's a suggestion that crit caps are garunteed?! Thanks in advance!
I don't have a confirmed answer, but an anecdote. Today I've had multiple crit captures with luxury balls, (lowest capture rate type of ball), and they haven't failed yet. So if not a guarantee, it at least significantly increases the odds.
@@gagglez I've had the same in this gen, every crit caps I've had has worked, but I've failed hundreds in swsh so I don't know what the answer is!
@@NerdySideUpPodcast I believe that if you capture a pokemon you already have, it will play the critical capture animation, even if the capture was not critical.
Just save in front of pokemon you want keep reloading if you don't catch in first ball
This was so helpful!!! I beat Bombirdier and it was just chilling on the mountain. I kept trying to encounter it but nothing happened. I thought my game was glitching lol.
Can you still get them after finishing the game because I'm going to the places and not finding one at all.
Definitely awaiting that Masuda ditto video
So is dodonzo not catchable as a Titan?
He wasn't the titan I think - look at the lil fishy guy's special ability - he controls the Don by jumping in his mouth.
I live for your videos! Like I sleep to TH-cam and unsurprisingly I always awake to your videos
Is there no ex-titan for Dondozo?
Apparently not, can anyone confirm?
I can confirm there is'nt one.
The actual former false dragon titan is the tatsugiri, the dondozo doesn’t get an ex titan form.
oh c'mon Orthworm is so cute :) and I really like its design as well
As the rules said, I liked the video! :D
Oh that Bombirder is a titan!? I found it earlier and ignored it when I couldn't throw a ball at it, thinking it was bugged out
What if you kill them? Can you do a second battle?
Unfortunately no
@@amj.composer FFFUUUUUUUUU
@@ofisblagoevgrad6424 how many?
I never fought the klawf titan post game and it never showed up. Did that happen to anyone else?
Kinda sad the Dondozo from the False Dragon titan fight isnt also available. Still this is a really cool mechanic
As a woman, I can confirm, I like big pokemon.
I'm a big Pokémon
Can't wait for the Masuda ditto video. Really need it.
You missed the Dondozo it is in the location of the second fight with the False Dragon titan and has the sociable badge
Neither of the false dragon titans will spawn for me, why is this happening?
Aint that a normal Dondozo with a random mark?
@@diegotimon4570 Yeah, it's just a regular one with a random mark. Tried hunting it down on a whim, but it wasn't there.
Grats on the blu boi! That was fun to watch.
I was so confused why I had to click A to encounter that tatsuguri so I just killed it
The rule is a like before the intro starts! You put out bangers every time my dude!
So I encountered my first ScVi shiny on my second playthrough right at the start of it. Just a shiny azurill jumping through the brush.
I thought my pixels were going haywire 😂😂
I really want to catch iron treads because I want a strong ground tera type. However when I caught it the first time it's steel tera. Fortunately I didn't save and I was thinking maybe if I try again it will be ground tera. Thankfully when I caught it the second time it's ground tera. 😍
You know you could've just change its Tera type, right?
So far I've gotten 4 shinies. I was kinda angry because 3 were oldies, but got a Scream Tail on my return to the crater in the post-game.
Ngl, i would have prefered to be able to swap our riding pokemon at least between the 2 legendaries since majority of us would have traded the extra one for a different version legendary. Would be a nice bonus if we can ride on cyclizard as well and maybe even other different riding pokemon.

@@AustinJohnPlays Thank you 🙏🏾
The random shiny reaction & the sound effect cracked me up 😂
Tatsugiri instantly became one of my favourite and the fact that it was my first titan without knowing about titan before, and it saying Ai! Titan! (I titan) was awesome
I like the video as soon as it starts 😂😘
