Austin is the new updated version of those old Pokémon guidebooks. Thank God for the internet. A lot of gen Z and Alpha gamers won't ever have to know the struggle of trying to figure out how to complete a game with little to no help. Part of me will be jealous of that, but I'm mostly glad this fountain of information exists.
There was the big leak of SwSh 2-3 weeks before the game with all the G-Max pokemon that I covered (not rumors, real leaks.) and that was from a Guide book that got out early. They're not making that same mistake again sadly. Sad not because of the leak stuff, but because I LOVE those books. I have a Bookcase in my house that is just a LOT of strategy guides, Holes, and the Harry Potter Books lol

The reason Pawmo needs to walk to evolve is smarter than you think. It's because it's an electric type and it's learning the revive move. Pawmo has to gather static just like you have to charge up a defibrillator in order to shock people back to life.
Fun fact: even if it doesn't affect the pokemon, Primeape's Rage Fist will still "attack" and count towards it's evolution. I used it in one battle against a lvl 2 lechonk and was able to evolve right after (I used an ether in the middle of the battle)
You can also get a Gengar by trading an NPC in Levincia a Pincurchin. When you give her a Pincurchin, the NPC will give you a Haunter who will evolve into Gengar.
So finizen evolves, with the power of friendship, into a pokemon that can transform into a superhero if they are allowed to go back into their pokeball to do a quick outfit change.
I'm gonna do that but my party already has a lot of ghost types so I dont think I'll use it much. Skeledirge, ceruledge and annihilape. I love annihilape

Just a note for scovillin, it DOESNT need to be level 30, i caught one at 15 and evolved it at 17 by skipping to eastern area 3 and picking a fire stone off the ground. Also the circle in the middle of the electric gym town is a great place for the walking evos!
Ya mine was level 22 or so and I had a random fire stone maybe from a den but I saw I could just evolve it. Cool we got are grass fire. Did saw it had two heads plus was kind of dragon like so thought we were getting a Snapdragon pokemon.
I actually really like that feature in Legends Arceus in which your pokemon won’t evolve until you want it to evolve. I wish this feature was in Scarlet/Violet. Kinda makes the everstone useless though. Also, I think Girafarig should have evolved by learning or using the move reversal.
6:25 Pawmot does have a signature move, but it's not Revival Blessing (Rabsca also gets it). Its signature move is actually Double Shock, which is basically an Electric-type Burn Up.
Never was huge into Pokémon but these last 2 games have made me a huge fan I finally see why people love the series the fighting is fun and building a personal team and beating other guys teams is so much fun
As for the Nemona battle, I think she battles you before a gym if you go for the badge "out of order" even though there is no order. She battled me before a gym to make sure I was ready for the leader, which was kinda nice because I beat her but felt a little under leveled. Went back out to train a few levels and did fine with the leader.
@@Golladan that could be the case, but after playing some more I really do think it's about your level and the level of the gym. If you're under leveled, she battles you before. If you're over leveled, she battles you after. I did the bug gym and grass gyms first. Then I decided to do the water gym next and she fought me before I did that challenge. Go to fight the water guy and I would have been really under leveled if she hadn't battled me, giving me exp and giving me a hint to maybe grind some more. I was still a tad under leveled for the water guy but I was way better off than I would have been before realizing I needed to grind more. Then I did the normal gym, the electric gym, and the psychic gym, all of which I was either over leveled or on par. She fought me AFTER the psychic gym instead of before. I think this was because I was on par with the levels for that gym so there was no need to fight me before to give me an exp boost. I could be wrong but even her dialog before she fought me before the water gym was like "let me make sure you're ready for this gym". If I were to do the gyms again, I would have done bug, grass, electric, water, normal, then psychic. But I did the water 3rd instead of 4th so I essentially did it "out of order" and the game was trying to help me correct that in its own way by helping me level up BEFORE the gym and not after. So my theory is it's based on your teams levels compared to the gyms levels on whether she fights you before or after the gym.
@@reiniamajiki4179 It's not based on level. It's based on badges. She will always fight you before the 3rd gym regardless of which gym you do or which level. She will battle you after the 5th gym, which is when Geeta will be present and give you TMs for Tera Blast, though she will show up before the fight and say she needs to switch up her team. She will fight you before the 7th gym. I was overlevelled in all instances and she still fought me like that. Austin experienced the same thing here, where Nemona fought him before the normal gym when he did it as the third gym, and after the normal gym when he did it as the fifth gym.
Damn that last Evolution not only looks super cool, evolves from an already cool Pokemon from my favorite Gen but ALSO is pretty complicated to do...I LOVE it xD
The bisharp evolution is modeled after Shogi, a Japanese chess like game. That is why the evolution is sitting down, seemingly looking over a board or table. The crests, that's a thing in shogi. You can defeat high ranking pieces, to promote your own crests which represent soldiers and infantry, in a war. Figured not many Americans would catch onto that so, your welcome

I’m sure somebody’s already mentioned this, but a good way to find a Rockruff with Own Tempo is to make a Pokémon with intimidate your party leader. Since intimidate immediately goes into effect when entering an encounter and Own Tempo counters Intimidate, if you encounter a Rockruff and Intimidate doesn’t activate, that Rockruff has the ability
Own tempo Rockruff works on in game dusk time. Easiest way to find one, run a pokemon with intimidate and fight all of them until one doesn't lose attack from it.
The best thing about Tandemaus is that is has the ability Pick Up, so one day I was just checking to grab what they picked up and apparently it was 2 kids. They of course can't afford to pick up things for me now, instead they just keep a lot of berries in their mouth. PS. it was a perfect Pokemon for Parental Bond, it would have been amazing.

Pawmo-Pawmot evolving the same as Bramblin and Rellor makes sense if you remember that the Pawmi line are hamsters or mice. Hamster wheels. Makes perfect sense to me that running would be involved.
I think the 1000 steps is the Pokemon's actual steps (it took less distance with Rellor than with Pawmo) Also just Level when you think you walked far enough and, chances are, you've walked more than enough.
Bisharp not only evolves by the pack spawn method I was using my bisharp (with leader crest) and got bored of the bisharp spawn method. Anyway, mine evolved at level 68 by defeating a Weavile (solo) by Glaseado Mountain (not a single bisharp w/crest defeated)
Honestly they could use the Moon stone for Umbreon, the Sun Stone for Espeon and the Shiny or Dawn Stone for Sylveon, with or without knowing a fairy move. Make them all stones. More consistent. Especially since they haven't been adding new Eeveelutions for the 3rd gen in a row (which annoys me as I'm in the camp that wants all types). EDIT: what is annoying me about the let's go feature is how slow most pokemon run. So they can't keep up with you even if you don't ride your xxraidon. Annoying in general if you just want to walk around with it, but especially so for the evolutions where they need 1000 steps, which reset if they return to the ball.... I didn't know it reset until I was already in post game, had used Pawmo A LOT with the let's go feature, but it still had not evolved and I looked it up to double check...
For Kingambit I found it easier to find Bisharp with a group of Pawniard at a specific waterfall/river in Area Zero (obviously later game) by running back and forth until one spawned in, never found any in the bamboo area for some reason

FOR Pawmo....... running in a circle with the right joystick all the way left or right and pushing forward on the left joy stick makes you run in a circle. a full circle is roughly 13 steps or so. i counted it as 10 and ran in a circle 100 times and that evolved pawmo if you want to take the guesswork out of it.
FYI Bisharp needs to defeat all 3 pack spawn Bisharp consecutively (without battling/defeating any other pokemon in between) in order to be able to evolve into Kingambit. May have been a glitch for me, but if anyone else is having trouble with that one this worked for me.

I did the Lycanroc dusk form. It needs the ability own tempo and you need to lvl up to lvl 25 or higher at sunset IN GAME. Primeape learns rage fist at lvl 35.
I'm a few days late, but I figured I'd drop the info here anyway, just in case. I just caught Palafin in a five star raid, so for those of you without Pokemon friends, you can obtain it without anyone else.
Kirila+Male/use Dawnstone----> Gallade Sneasel+RazorClaw/lvl at night----> Weavile I dont know if its been mentioned but you did forget a few pokemon here. I know they can be found in game, yet most of these guys can but still. Edit: swapped around and added info
tbh i like that the special evolutions get crazier and crazier every gen. game freak and tpc are aware that info travels so fast nowadays and that pokemon is a large community now that they rely on that for us to crack their ridiculous codes in this game
For Lycanroc-Dusk, you are correct, you need Own Tempo and Level up after 25 during Dusk time IN GAME, you can check if its dusk by pressing Y to open the map. In the top middle of the map it will have a sun (for day), a moon (for night), or a sun with orange background, this is dusk. :) it only lasts a few minutes so make sure you got them rare candies ready haha.
I was very satisfied with this video and the directions were very clear to understand. I just wish the creators took advantage of the auto battle gimmick and let us level up our Pokémon that way that didn’t require an extra step, but if you do auto battles the whole time to the level your Pokémon evolves your Pokémon will not evolve and you have to catch another one of that same Pokémon.
For the next games, Pokémon Zig and Zag, in order to evolve Gizgaz into Gazgiz, you're going to need to play with 3 other players, while running a 1000 steps with max Friendship while holding an RNG Stone, which has a 1/2048 chance of being detected by a Pokémon with Pickup, during the first 5 minutes of a new day, after it learns/has 4 specific moves (2 of which are exclusive egg moves) and ONLY the Frenetic Nature, with its Hidden Ability, Female only, and finally, only the 4-toed variant instead of 2 or 3-toed. (Unless they're male and 3-toed, but then that needs Frisky Nature) Do all of this in Slalom Village on a Tuesday (IRL), holding the Switch upside down, and bam! You've done it!
For Pawmo, I found it the easiest to just tilt both sticks to either the left or right, and run in a circle. If it doesn't evolve after the next level up, I just go back to running circles…

Tip for the walking ones, if you go in the water they get a little Ballon to stay afloat and it can keep up with your max swim speed

Yeah, I got a fire stone from making progress on the Pokedex and it worked straight away at level 20 or something.

For the Dusk rockruff there is one in the wild that's terrasteralized just catch it and look at your pokedex.When the sun is orange the time is right.
Update: after the 1000 steps for pawmo you have to level it up in order to evolve it, and it can’t go back into the ball, that’s very important**

For Pawmo you're running with them as training so they can get stronk and earn that fighting subtype. At least that's how I interpret it.

Tandemaus also evolves when leveling by beating an opponent in combat. For me it didn't evolve in the back because I leveled it with xp candies.

I love that they kept the integrity of the weird thing that is dunsparce. They added nothing except an extra body part and I love that.

Just a note: Flip Turn is not a signature move! Other pokemon can get it. Mostly fish.

I think the 1000 steps is the Pokemon's actual steps (it took less distance with Rellor than with Pawmo)
Also just Level when you think you walked far enough and, chances are, you've walked more than enough.

Bisharp not only evolves by the pack spawn method
I was using my bisharp (with leader crest) and got bored of the bisharp spawn method.
Anyway, mine evolved at level 68 by defeating a Weavile (solo) by Glaseado Mountain (not a single bisharp w/crest defeated)
Wait really? That's weird maybe I should just wait to see if that happens for me because I'm struggling with this evolution

Honestly they could use the Moon stone for Umbreon, the Sun Stone for Espeon and the Shiny or Dawn Stone for Sylveon, with or without knowing a fairy move. Make them all stones. More consistent. Especially since they haven't been adding new Eeveelutions for the 3rd gen in a row (which annoys me as I'm in the camp that wants all types).
EDIT: what is annoying me about the let's go feature is how slow most pokemon run. So they can't keep up with you even if you don't ride your xxraidon. Annoying in general if you just want to walk around with it, but especially so for the evolutions where they need 1000 steps, which reset if they return to the ball.... I didn't know it reset until I was already in post game, had used Pawmo A LOT with the let's go feature, but it still had not evolved and I looked it up to double check...
Also near some ruins with tinkatons past evolution and bronzongs you find so many sinistea’s but I think that’s the other area you mentioned.

Own Tempo isn't the hidden ability. It's a special 4th ability they added to allow for Dusk Form to exist.

For Kingambit I found it easier to find Bisharp with a group of Pawniard at a specific waterfall/river in Area Zero (obviously later game) by running back and forth until one spawned in, never found any in the bamboo area for some reason

FOR Pawmo....... running in a circle with the right joystick all the way left or right and pushing forward on the left joy stick makes you run in a circle. a full circle is roughly 13 steps or so. i counted it as 10 and ran in a circle 100 times and that evolved pawmo if you want to take the guesswork out of it.
Holding both sticks to one side is a great way to evolve walking pokemon
FYI Bisharp needs to defeat all 3 pack spawn Bisharp consecutively (without battling/defeating any other pokemon in between) in order to be able to evolve into Kingambit. May have been a glitch for me, but if anyone else is having trouble with that one this worked for me.

So I just found out looking for gothita that sinistea spawn right outside Zapapico at night! So its a MUCH easier (and hilariously convenient) was to get the Malicious Armor for you Violet folk!
I did the Lycanroc dusk form. It needs the ability own tempo and you need to lvl up to lvl 25 or higher at sunset IN GAME.
Primeape learns rage fist at lvl 35.
For Pawmo to Pawmot… After walking 1,000 steps in Let’s Go mode, I had to get Pawmo to level up one time before it would evolve. Just a heads up! 6:09

Pamomo: I walked 2 laps and gave him a Rare Candy and he evolved. Bramblin and Rellor only required one round.
But Lakitu said 3 laps to finish the race! Lol

tbh i like that the special evolutions get crazier and crazier every gen. game freak and tpc are aware that info travels so fast nowadays and that pokemon is a large community now that they rely on that for us to crack their ridiculous codes in this game
The first Rockruff I caught in the game I don’t remember it having Own Tempo but it ended up evolving into dusk form at sunset in game
Right after I learned how to get Kingambit, I found one in the next tera den I went to. Nabbed it there and moved along, lol.
For Lycanroc-Dusk, you are correct, you need Own Tempo and Level up after 25 during Dusk time IN GAME, you can check if its dusk by pressing Y to open the map. In the top middle of the map it will have a sun (for day), a moon (for night), or a sun with orange background, this is dusk. :) it only lasts a few minutes so make sure you got them rare candies ready haha.

I was very satisfied with this video and the directions were very clear to understand. I just wish the creators took advantage of the auto battle gimmick and let us level up our Pokémon that way that didn’t require an extra step, but if you do auto battles the whole time to the level your Pokémon evolves your Pokémon will not evolve and you have to catch another one of that same Pokémon.

For the next games, Pokémon Zig and Zag, in order to evolve Gizgaz into Gazgiz, you're going to need to play with 3 other players, while running a 1000 steps with max Friendship while holding an RNG Stone, which has a 1/2048 chance of being detected by a Pokémon with Pickup, during the first 5 minutes of a new day, after it learns/has 4 specific moves (2 of which are exclusive egg moves) and ONLY the Frenetic Nature, with its Hidden Ability, Female only, and finally, only the 4-toed variant instead of 2 or 3-toed. (Unless they're male and 3-toed, but then that needs Frisky Nature)
Do all of this in Slalom Village on a Tuesday (IRL), holding the Switch upside down, and bam! You've done it!
For Pawmo, I found it the easiest to just tilt both sticks to either the left or right, and run in a circle. If it doesn't evolve after the next level up, I just go back to running circles…
I assume it works with the other ones, too
DO NOT use Thief when doing the King Gambit evolution. You will steal the Leader's Crest then it will not count.
