Adam your videos have 100% helped my angling. I took off all the Ronnies and went to a simple lign aligner rig and just had the best fishing of my life. 6 over 30 Over 27 fish caught in just 2 sessions. Thank you for your tips. My best saying now is: "Am i catching because of or inspite of"
"remember guys keep it simple, its not about bulky over cluttered rigs and rigid resetting booms " From the guy who brought you the double hinged multi-stiff sawn-off double albright knotted multi-stiff D rig with hand sharpened hook in his last video . LOL . The biggest takeaway from an Penning film seems to be contradiction . Looking forward to the winter tactics video though, maybe its going to be jägermeister on his tiggers this year.
I use this same rig tipped with a piece of plastic corn for years never changed it once simple 15lb soft coated braid size 6 or 8 depending on fish and a piece of sillocone on the bend of hook to trap the hair that is it or if you want to get fancy and some shrink tubing or hook aligner no more than 3 items of tackle caught endless on pressured waters all over the UK and bottoms if its weedy make the hook length longer same as silt not hard don't follow the trend save your money 😉
Mr Penning is spot on. Keep it simple has been my way for years. The more different things you try the more chance of it going wrong. These new "scaffolding rigs" aren't for me at all. Floater fishing is the best way to catch carp when conditions are right there's nothing better.
AT LAST!!! Someone going ‘back to basics’ (like I’ve been fishing successfully for years) & also not trying to sell the latest, unnecessary gadget rigs & kilos upon kilos of the new ‘special bait?’ & brightly coloured, over glugged/additive treated hook baits. Anglers are their own worst enemy falling for all the tackle companies bullshit hype ~ as the saying goes, tackle/bait catches more anglers than fish. I salute you Adam for being ‘real’ & honest in this video, unlike the others who think we’re all stupid, brainless fools, & don’t like it when you have the nerve to challenge their hype. 👍🏻👌🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
Another brilliant video, couldn’t sum it up better myself👍🏻 I’m still using the same rigs I used 30 years ago including braid as a hooklink & they still catch carp. Keep up the good work - tight lines bud😊
In just a year Adam has changed his whole outlook on carp fishing, going right back to basics. Only a year ago it was all about stiff short multi rigs, now its KD style and ultra simple. I do like Adam, but this does confuse people I'm sure.
Back into carping after 40 years the line strength & rod test curves shocked me at first as compared to my old 1&1/4 pound glass fibre rods that would bend double but absorb any pulls from the fish As for Ronnie rigs ……….. brutal ironmongery
Great video with lots of useful info. Thank you! I do a lot of lure fishing as well as carping and braid gives such a better connection. Makes total sense to use it for floater fishing too.
Id not been fishing for a few years when I went last week I thought I was at a remote control bait boat convention .I roll up with me rod and a tub of worms and clean up .
Awesome video CARPology and Adam. Bit of a contradiction on the rigs from your last video, that double Albright, stiff multi thing you made was probably one of the most convoluted rigs I’ve seen tied 😆
I never understood the hi viz pop ups I know they work but when I have to use a pop up I have always used the matching pop up to the feed so your not alone on your thinking
Great vid, just getting back into carping after years away!! Are you using this helicopter or inline? So much confusing stuff out there now nice to see some basic sensible angling 👍
You can feed the seagulls off? 😂. Have to hold my hand up, I'm stuck in the times with the mixers and would rarely use a pop up, suppose I'll have to give it a whirl if it's hard going!
Am going to give you a bit of criticism mr penn you saying about the braid been the best for floter fishing lol that you need to strike an be conected and you rarley miss and you go n miss 3 times at the end anyway great vid pal inspirational as allways buddy 👍👍
I do not mean to be picky but why would you show a video of fishing which no one else could do . Braided mainline is NOT ALLOWED in Suffolk water park so why use it. It is clearly stated in the rules. Othet than that a very informative film from a guy that had my respect until he broke the RULES!
Out of all the big poster carp anglers, this guy and Terry Hearn I can listen to for hours 👍

That's the biggest load of common sense I've heard for years vey well done mate

Always a pleasure watching Adam.
Adams videos on hear are by far the best on TH-cam pure tuition and help thanks guys keep em coming 👍
Another inspiration video from Adam
One of the best TH-cam videos I have seen this year, if not ever! I think A LOT of anglers need to watch this, great work Adam and Carpology.
Another brilliant video, couldn’t sum it up better myself👍🏻 I’m still using the same rigs I used 30 years ago including braid as a hooklink & they still catch carp. Keep up the good work - tight lines bud😊
Good little lake that one😉

It’s a basics video u muppet
Couldn't agree more, keep it bloody simple. There's a reason rigs have been over complicated........💰💰💰💰
This blokes been around forever I remember him on carp crew years ago with the greatly missed Kev Green.
That's been my go to rig for ages. I fish it snowman style caught loads of carp. Nice and simple
Epic stuff thanks Adam and Carpology
100% true mate!! Keep it simple
Love the videos Adam cuts straight to the point very informative as always
Been fishing this way for donkeys years and it caught me loads of fish even a 74lb mirror 👍👍

Basically one of the rigs I've used for years and the ESP hooks size 8.
Great video very helpful for me
@@carpologytv thanks!
I found Sticky Krill floater often broke apart when pushing a needle through.
Another informative watch Mr Penning. I was fishing like that 30 years ago but have got lost in all the new rig hype like so many others. 👍
@@carpologytv you say that yet I guarantee your rig boxes are full of complicated rigs 😂😂
Thanks as always Adam, great tips
And Joe for bringing this to us 👍
Joy to watch. Master

I’ve still got 4 reels of multistrand and a tube of kryston anti tangle gel!!
Great tips Prof Adam
Great angling 🔥🔥👍🏻
Happy Friday
Always found waiting for the float to move rather than striking every time you THINK the fish has eaten your floater hooks way more fish
I never understood the hi viz pop ups I know they work but when I have to use a pop up I have always used the matching pop up to the feed so your not alone on your thinking
Nice one guys!!
great video....which model of the Penn Rival reel are you using ?
Haha so true you don't need to fill it in!
Great video! Loving the simplicity of the tips… what length rods and type of reels were you using for fishing on the bottom? 🎣🐟
Enjoyed that very much! What would the lead set up be with that rig Adam showed?
Running rig with rig tubing or inline should work well with it mate
What's the black boilies?
Great vid, just getting back into carping after years away!! Are you using this helicopter or inline? So much confusing stuff out there now nice to see some basic sensible angling 👍
Should depend on the surface fished on
Nash 'Riser Pellets' are the best floater feed you can buy. Absolutely the best surface attractant.
Bread...
Hi Adam what size reel is that please 6000 or 7000
You can feed the seagulls off? 😂. Have to hold my hand up, I'm stuck in the times with the mixers and would rarely use a pop up, suppose I'll have to give it a whirl if it's hard going!
try it mate it really works, small and larger feed pellets
Pop ups stay on well unlike a dog biscuit lol
great video BUT i can not see what you are doing. for us new i do not know what the upper end is.
Am going to give you a bit of criticism mr penn you saying about the braid been the best for floter fishing lol that you need to strike an be conected and you rarley miss and you go n miss 3 times at the end anyway great vid pal inspirational as allways buddy 👍👍
Why was it edited when he caught the Bream I wanted to see it 😔lol 😆😂
👌🏻
