With the up most respect, but its ok if your allowed to use a boat on your water. Im not allowed boats of any sort, baiting spoons, nothing! And it is so weedey floating weed silt cabbage etc. Got to love a challenge 😀 lovely lake your on there good luck for the rest of the season 🙏
Beautiful looking lake that. Nice to see a blank session from a top carp angler for a change. I sometimes watch these videos and get the impression that catching big carp is easy. It's certainly not for me.
Another alternative would be to first locate the Carp, pick ya spots & then put In at least half Kg of particles spread out over each chosen spot ! Within a day or two your spots will be clean of any weed on the lake bed & you will have a near perfectly clean bottom to place your chosen rig on . This method works a treat. The only downside to this is that other angler’s could rock up & fish your clean chosen spots 👍🏼
I respect your determination on such a difficult lake but when it’s this weedy there often is no dril just scooping a big pile of weed en underneath it there’s a carp for me personally I like the drill and the fight.
Bit of fishery management/maintenance for fish safety wouldn't go a miss here. Even some raking and removal of weed by the angler to create safer spot. Dragging fish through weed with a good chance of rings clogging up ect ? Is it really necessary? We all love a challenge but this seems a bit like creating more of a challenge for the sake of it.

I has the pleasure of fishing on tony the owners permission and done really well caught 8 fish in 3 visits not for the faint hearted
