I had to beg my doctor for Accutane after trying everything else for my severe and painful acne. I did the research, and I understood the risks. I don't think this drug is for everyone, but it certainly changed my life.
For the best ??
@@chaimakhalid8178 yes, it really did work for me...I still get the odd pimple, but nothing as crazy as it was before. :-)
I'm on my 2nd month, 2 pills a day now...
@@MsIvargas that's good. Good luck with it 👍
Yep, it is the only solution. For me, it is THE solution. I still have a severe affection and I won't escape from this horrible disease
worst accutane side effect i ever had was chapped lips lol
Same right here!
Me too lmao
lol same
depends on the genetics
My internal organs started bleeding, so it depends on the person….
Caution - I developed DISH (Diffuse Idiopathic Skeletal Hyperostosis) decades after using Accutane, and in researching DISH, prior use of Accutane is listed as a risk factor for developing the disease. DISH causes calcification of the ligaments of the lumbar & cervical spine. It essentially fuses segments of your vertebrae together over a period of many years. At the time I was considering using Accutane, one of the side effects listed was “skeletal changes”. In hindsight, I wish I had not used Accutane. My use was low-dose and relatively short, but I suspect it triggered the disease process.
nah man
This can't happen in low dose and for a short term. The side effects are for high doses ot very long terms. Actually we are talking about vitamin A.
@@analeo9498can u elab?
You likely didn’t get it from acutane
@@analeo9498not true
I have struggled with acne all throughout my teenage years. There were times it got better and times it got worse. I have been on Accutane since April of this year and can say it was totally worth it. My skin texture is so much better then it was before starting and all of my redness and scarring is healing. I avoided Accutane for the longest time due to the monthly bloodwork and extreme side effects. I only had dry lips, and some minor joint pain and that’s pretty much it. This drug works miracles, don’t listen to the bad things about it.
If you are young (teens & young 20s), please don't take this crap! I took it my junior year of high school and I STILL suffer from intense back pain, stiff joints, sore right arm joints, dry skin, and dry mouth & lips!!! I AM 24 NOW 😫
I am young and currently taking this drug. However bad the dry lips are, it’s ten times better compared to the feeling of rushing to the mirror when you wake up to dab concealer on the new cystic acne that’s erupting out of your cheek, not to mention the others that have been there for months and will not go away no matter what you do.
Roaccutane has completely transformed my life and self-confidence and I don’t want to imagine where I’d be if I had listened to the people telling me not to go on it.
So take collagen and omega 3s and hyalauronic acid … it’s not that much money
I took it at 22, my acne was disgusting, and I’m taking it again a lower dose it doesn’t always work the first time
@@Ghost_of_Michael_Collins u could also get liver damage from taking it but go off lol. If u want to take it, fine. Have fun living with the consequences. But it's a reason why it was banned for many, many years. Acne get better after teen years, these other symptoms only get worse with age
I agree with you. I have permenant dry eyes from accutane and Tretinoin cream and it damaged my skin barrier.
I only had a few pimples but insecurity got to me. If I could go back in time I would.
did it affect your height growth?
Accutane affected my mental health very horribly. I was in severe depression because of accutane.
How did it feel
You were probably a loser it just amplified being a loser
@@Proud_Zeke_Follower I was feeling anxious and also low emotions. Depression is rare
I was actually feeling a lot better bc of the improvement I saw in my skin
It took me 5 years of horrible acne to realize it was my diet
what was your diet and what did you change?
Where can I find it online my dr wont prescribe it and im tired of my face looking so horrible its ruining my confidence and its very painful
Change doctor and take little dosage to minimize the side effects
I would change doctors, my doctor gave me the option to try accutane or something different during my 1st appointment (I had severe acne). I tried minocycline with clindomycin gel which cleared mine up considerably, but I've noticed my acne is slowly trying to make a comeback so I'm thinking of getting on accutane since I've heard the results are permanent majority of the time
Women need to learn how to use birth control. There's a 9% failure rate on the pill in common use, but if used properly it's only 0.2%.
Honestly the pill is so specific and certain warnings aren't given like dont take with antibiotics
@@megangerhart3540 Uncommonly used antibiotics. Most Americans will never take them.
Bruh I swear it shrunk my bones width wise. When I was 16 and took it at the beginning I had bigger bones than now. Now I also have low T, probably from accurate
lol shouldn’t have taken the joo pills
PLEASE PARTICIPATE IN THE ISOTRETINOIN SURVEY
Link?
What happened to the medical ethos of do no harm?
Do u have iatrogenic damage from medications,
they’ve been violating that for agesss in the usa
circumcision 1950s-present
*_Anyone else notice the hickey?_*
Where?
Only you
How tf can you get accutane online? I need medical supervision to get my hands on it
Cannot get it online
Yes you can get online
@@keen9603Hey do you know where online you can get it from? Like the website name?
Only the strong survive 💪🏾🪖
1:26 isotretinoin not isotreNtinoin!
I heard that too
I took accutane in 2003 and it made me a complete nut case Also have bi polar so i was a ticking time bomb
Really . What was the changes when you took it. I have adhd
It made me have anger fits. I fell into a state of depression. But it was worse then usual
Just ban it!
Like depression pills
I don't want babies anyway
