16:14 just stand on the on/off switch, hit one of the POW blocks to make the coins fall, dodge the falling coins from above, then use the other POW block to go under to hit the on/off switch
Yeah I thought that too so I tried it
In all my attempts the coins from above hit me, but if you go the left and hit one it works just fine
@@K_amonger I managed to stand on the on/off switch and not collect a coin. I think it's pixel perfect :P
@@gferrol118 if you activate the p switch before it you dont even have to hit a pow. I finished the level with 0 coins so level 43 is possible coinless.
So half of the 90 levels are possible

There are actually some more levels which you can beat:
Job 18 8:22
You can get past the second part without collecting a coin.
At 8:45 you need to jump to wall left of you and do a wall jump
to get to the right of the coins above you.
Job 26 10:34 you need to damage boost and then jump around the coins at 10:49.
Job 33 12:36
You need to grab a spring and jump over the coins at 12:41
then throw the spring up to activate the on off switches.
Do the same thing at 12:48
and you will just have enough time to finish.
Job 64 21:03
Get the mushroom in the second section and jump on the
shorter snake block 21:15 as late as possible. Then you need to do air stalling just before the part with the coins, then take damage so you can run underneath the coins and jump on the short snake block again.
Job 65 21:29
Break the blocks next to the pow blocks, grab them and stack them on the right question block. You're then able to jump over the purple blocks.
Job 87 26:51
Stack as much boxes as possible on the left side of the screen at 26:58 so you can jump on top and skip the section. In the end you can climb up the left wall with the cat suit and make a jump from an offscreen platform.
Job 88 27:14
There is a thwomp you can spin on right before the checkpoint
to get on top of the ice roof and get past the coins.
So we have a total of 51 levels which are possible.

I think this would be more interesting if you used assist parts, since that gives you access to, among other things, exactly one pow, which would allow for some neat strategies.

Hey, Nico. I also tried that challenge with some levels in Story Mode. Then I noticed level 2, 5, 6, and levels with coin conditions are impossible. Anyway, good videos and well explanations!

I actually tried this back in August, except as an actual run from New game to finishing constructing Peach's castle (the rule being that I was allowed to use the coins I got as payment for the jobs, but not the ones I got from the flagpoles).
Using Assist Blocks, I could beat every single level I came accross except for underground coin collection and I actually thought I was making headway until I hit the wall.
I didn't have enough coins to build main hall 2F, and the only available job was Underground Coin Collecting which meant the run was dead.
This is the topic where Ceave really shines

This was my first ever coinless challenge I've attempted, and I had a lot of fun. I didn't realize that levels 7 and 66 were possible, but I was able to complete 26 and 43 coinless. In level 26, you can damage boost onto the spikes, and then jump to the left to gain enough height to clear the coins. In level 43, you can hit one of the pow blocks to get rid of the coins, and later in the level requires you to do a p-switch jump in order to turn some coins into blocks. But great job nico :)

I saw the recommendation for this same video but with luigis help and i instantly guessed that its not possible without luigi. Im gonna watch this anyway xD
Couple more levels that you can actually beat:
- 18 (the winter tree one). You can dodge between all the coins in the subworld as well.
- 26 (low gravity smb1). Damage boost and instead of going under, go over and do some controlled jumps off of the next koopas.
- 43 (dark smb1) if you stand perfectly in the middle of the on/off block you can hit the pow from below and drop the coins so you can proceed. There's another section with coins over platforms but you can p-switch jump off the p-switch on tracks and the coins turn to blocks.
- 64 (blue snake block parkour). when you get to the sub-area pick up the mushroom. Activate the highest snake block as late as possible. Jump up and gp cancel down. Damage boost under the coins and then jump back onto the snake block.
- 36 (on/off switches and upside-down through the pipes). You can jump between the skewers at the start but at the end of the level you have to hit invisible blocks anyway
Good job seeing that on 26... As soon as he tried damage boosting, I wondered why he didn't do that.

For mystery of the haunted mansion you could get Yoshi to collect the coins instead with his tongue
13:28 Couins by using spin jumps. Wall Jumps, and even by jumping on the Bee enemy, but those last coins up there just before the pipe are just impossible to dodge...

Imagine Undodog resets the castle again (or if the mode is played for the first time on the switch), how much of it will be built when there's no jobs left. The only coins you can have are the payments and the goal coin (be careful on smb3 goalcards). Maybe you can use Luigi on levels where coins block you, but clear conditions are no no.
I thought it was going to be hard but it was surprisingly simple
I actually tried to do a similar minimum-coins run right as the game came out, then realised I couldn't get very far from the coin payment barriers (I allowed myself to use items if I got desperate). I think I got to around the 2nd floor with only around 11 coins before the payment barrier hit me.
At the time of your death in level 90, it looked like a muncher falling off the upper conveyor. Since you have a star, perhaps you could land on that in midair & jump to the upper conveyor that way?
Video suggestion:
Can you beat smbwiiU with every level required completed in under 100 seconds (like in Luigi u)?
With tower/castle levels, you must get to the boss in under 100 seconds but, like in Luigi u, you get 100 second extra to beat the boss
6:26 theres a way to get past it, in mario maker if you ground pounded, you gained a little bit of height. If you fit in between the 2 coins and do a ground pound its actually possible
Now I want this game for all the tasks it has. I prefer that over building my own stages. I will try to get this game sometime soon. And I like the challenge for each Mario game about not collecting single coin.

I guess going out in the snow to forage for the supplies to make all that merch explains why our friend looks so visibly perky in the beginning of the video.
In job 85 you can use Luigi's blocks after passing by the thwomp and immediately pressing Parts to add hard blocks right before the thwomp reaches the ground if you fast enough and it won't hit the ? Blocks so by technicalities, it is possible to beat job 85 without coins, just you need Luigi's assist parts to do so.

if you use the luigi tools im sure there's at least a handful of levels that would become complete-able should be enough to at least have more than half the levels cleared.
I had to replay job 9 over again a few times to figure out how to get each key when I first played the game
