@@sagethedumbblob Zelda 1 would also be impossible since you need over 100 rupees to get arrows and the bait item, and at least five more because of the arrows you need to shoot in order to beat the different Gohma enemies and the one silver arrow for Ganon. And that's just on the first quest! A Link to the Past is *also* impossible since you need at least 110 rupees to enter the Dark Palace.

you forgot four entire levels! they added non red coin stars to vanish cap, metal cap and wing cap 2, and the secret level hidden in the garden.
And tge star you can get behind the mirror and the 3 secret stars in the mario, luigi and wario painting levels

I did this run myself, getting all possible stars. Amazingly, there is exactly 100 stars that can be collected without any coins. 101 if you count the snowman star which can't be accessed before you get the slide stars.
Edit: many stars would have been much quicker if you had used Luigi not mario.
Could you not get the slide stars by very slowly jumping up the slide, you can do that in SM64, I'm not sure about the DS version though.
@@ichigo_nyanko possibly, except you can't enter the bottom, and even if you could, the exit area is also full of coins.

A tip for TTM on DS: If you load in one of the later stars, you can climb the tree to be greeted by the owl. Just a tip I thought that I'd share!

But However, For Wario: You Don't Really Need The Mega Mushroom. Instead, Wario Is Strong Enough To Even Break The Rolling Rocks. Also, For One Of The Stars, You Could Talk To Toad Before Entering Hazy Maze Cave. Still An Awesome Vid!

I'm so glad yet another youtuber is acknowledging how broken Luigi's backflip is in this game. It's literally easy mode, it can get you almost anywhere and it's the best movement option by far (it's almost as high as a triple jump!)

Here’s a challenge to try: can you beat Super Mario 64 (DS) without collecting the first star in every course?
Rules:
You cannot collect the first star in any courses. Example: Big Bob-omb on the Summit for Bob-omb battlefield, Chip off Whomp’s Block for Whomp’s Fortress, and so on.
There is one exception to this rule: if doing a run where you cannot glitch to get to Bowser in the Fire Sea before Dire Dire Docks, then collecting Board Bowser’s Sub is acceptable, but should not be included in the Star Count for future Star Doors.
Triggering the star to spawn is allowable. You just cannot collect the first star. This is mostly helpful for collecting other stars in Big Boo’s Haunt.
There are no restrictions for Secret Star or Bowser stages as they usually consist of one or two stars. Maybe an extra challenge could be to complete the game while also not collecting Secret Stars.
I predict that this challenge will be a little difficult at first because a surprising number of stars are locked behind collecting that first star, especially in the first floor levels.
You get Watch For Rolling Rocks by punching them with Wario. The Star is randomly held inside one. You can break them more easily by breaking the black block to get a Super Mushroom.

But here is _the_ redeeming feature. Peach with a Ponytail, all is forgiven in my book.
The trampoline minigame is so good
I think imagining the Coins as enemies makes it far more easier. At least, that’s what I reckon, I haven’t played this/that far yet tho.
