I had 4 armored core games and this one was my favorite by far. For some reason climbing the Arena ranks was way addicting then the story for me. I always wanted a part 2 to this, sadly never came.

I never thought about this a s a kid, but the environments in AC games are pretty ridiculous. Consider the first mission here: the security MTs are probably about the size of an SUV, but the hallways are sized for ACs to move though, and the glass panes in the areas overlooking the botanical area are situated higher than the security MTs are tall, so it's not like people- not in an AC or larger MT- would see the botanical area from those hallways. In fact, _why_ would the botanical area be large enough to accommodate an AC in the first place? It's quite silly lol. Still love the games tho
I played this back when I was in middle school. Tons of vivid memories of playing this while listening to Metallica's Black Album in the background. During this time I was obsessed with Gundam Wing, so all my mechs always had the Moonlight sabe/blade equipped and the really long shoulder mounted grenade launcher. It felt like I was flying Wing Zero, lol
I loved this game had a 4 legged AC named "Heavy Arm" which was red and had gatling gun arms. I was obsessed with Gundam Wing at the time! Made it to second place on the arena with my AC. Awesome reliving this.
I'm still personally offended by 9-ball crouching to fire that shoulder grenade launcher in the intro even after all these years. LUL The most blatant of bullshit there is in the entire AC franchise.
A long time ago I read somewhere (think it was Gamefaqs) that the Raven you play as in this game is supposed to be Leos Klein, the big bad of AC2. Kinda cool if you ask me.
Excellent playthrough. Some if the flying enemt acs could be dealt with better in the garage arena. But is a matter of personal preference. Your ac layout is basically the most logical. The chain gun and small plasma cannon are very powerful and light. The brown machine gun has a lot of ammo, good attack power and gives you a wide scope to attack.
The Arena match between you and Fayde was pretty cool, you two were all over the place but I think I now see why you picked that map. It's really easy to corner ACs who's AI don't jump that much and just boost towards you for blade attacks. Lol you can lose em between buildings. Edit: Favorite Arena match. 1:03:11 I really liked this match.
Last night i saw you playthrough pf Project phantasma, but you didnt played the arena there. I would like to see you battle the likes of Necron or Pale horse.

I died over a dozen times on the final boss. He just kept stun locking me with the sword or turning into a fighter jet and I couldn't hit him.
