I know right, I still love the Pink Morning Cartoon search, having it be a personal project by a woman just trying to entertain her children is wonderful and the fact the search is preserving Ella Flowers' legacy is heartwarming
I have felt that before, I always wanted to find my friends older art by the name of LBPHeroMonster5, since all her art had been gone, All i felt was heartbreak and courage to find her old art again. Just for her and myself.
The song she was looking for is called Jordan, that was savage by Whimper. Local band at that time from Denton. And people want to discount this because the lyric is actually “To hide from anything” not “to try for anything” and the rest of the lyrics she sang are spot on. Also some people say that this band wasn’t listed in KXT the time frame she said. So I thought as well. You have to look through the whole week it comes up and KXT played them but it was later in the week. So idk if she just forgot over time but this has to be it I’ve gone over every song they played that whole week.
Just checked more of her comments, she said its not that song. Many people have suggested it to her. She says it doesnt sound very similar though, so some people think she may have heard a demo version that was changed before its final release. Some people found and linked her a demo which has lyrics closer to her memory but she never replied.
@@DannaBananaQueen Same bro. I used to put hours into the app scrolling and looking at way too much nsfl stuff (people dying, people getting hurt etc) to be healthy. Ever since then I've been better. Social media sucks and I barely use it anymore
My first thought was that it was pulled because they found out information about OP that made them delete the post - like perhaps she was lying about her diagnosis or she was trolling the group, etc. Why do you think it's malicious on the moderators' parts? I'm not arguing with you, btw. I'm just curious why you went in that direction first.
It hurts even more when you realize that some guy probably has the song playing as hes gardening his flowers or something and knows the name of it but doesnt understand how important it is
The sad fact is as of December, the person is most likely dead. I can't imagine the pain of never finding out something that burdened them for so long.
@@taterds7858according to another comment it was the second song shown on the list of songs that were either “dead ends, or received no response.” The comment says it’s name is “Jordan, That Was Savage” by the band Wimper.
the 1st one gave me the creeps. I can't stand not knowing a song - I literally stop whatever I'm doing and I go search it. but if I can't find it in a day or so, a literal pain begins to grow. Which is immediately alleviated if/when I find the song.
same thing happened to me, I looked for REM The One I Love for a year. My dad had changed the station from this song on a road trip. I would be up late at night scribbling lyrics I couldn't read in the morning and combing lyric databases. It was like being musically haunted and then the vessel being shattered. Da da da da...
The HP commercials were due to a partnership with HP for our workstations and render nodes, we literally had this partnership for 20+ years. As for the file path and "101" speculation, that is because rendered sequences are numbered beginning at that frame- there may not be more, it could just be the one frame. Unfortunately, storage directories fill up and are wiped. Additionally, PDI (the other DW campus) has closed. Anything from there is likely gone. However, it's likely they were STILLS, not from an actual sequence, produced for commercial purposes, as custom animation for commercials is under different directories. Things my have changed, but I don't believe we are technically supposed to share/save out our commercial stills, so it's possible this is a screenshot taken using our in-house review suite. Source: I work at DreamWorks, and have done touchups for commercially used stills for two feature films. I'll poke around.
Also, on the Art Station section, Jorge thought that when the artist said "Photo real" meant that it was a photo or something, its not. Photo Real in that context just meant the Camera 3D Model he made had to be >Photorealistic
I'd call this a conclusion to the mystery around the pictures. The originals were made for a promotional purpose as a series of still renders, used by HP for print advertisements, and some of the renders came into circulation at some point.
In regards to the "photo reel" part at 15:41 - it says "I created a photo real, detailed model of their HP camera for shrek to hold." I don't take this to be a misspelling of "photo reel," like you imply, I think he shortened "photorealistic" to "photo real" in his post.
@@pentexsucks43 I disagree. All that proves is that he was typing quickly, so it would've then made sense to shorten "photorealistic" to "photo real." Particularly because this is a 3D model. 3D modelers like throwing around the word "photorealistic," it would be the default interpretation for the intended audience. Especially because the camera definitely fits the definition of photorealistic (almost too well, it looks out of place in the scene to me.)
That Dating Game story is very sweet. I hope that footage of them is found. I can't believe that Spider Man film was actually going to be the first ever Spider Man film before we got Sam Raimi's. Such a shame its lost. I would have loved to seen that. Fair play to that Hollywood author for preserving those pictures.
@@dtxspeaks268 The Nick Hammond films were released in cinemas tho. Besides I think it's silly to exclude a film due to the format it was originally released to. That would exclude films primarily made for streaming services, which at this point seems to be most of them.
When the girl sang what she remembered for the song, it sounds like something from 2000s-present emo/pop punk music. That sequence of notes is everywhere, so I'd imagine it'd be pretty hard to find. My guess is that it was probably some local band who may not have released anything officially. Radio stations tend to do that a lot, especially in the mornings during radio show intermissions.
There is a remote possibility that the recording could have been on a u-matic and that it could have been off a re-broadcast before they overwrote the master. Especially if there was evidence of recordings of other episodes in the season, they could have overwritten it years or a decade later. Of course u-matic was ultra rare to begin with and unstable. Even if a tape was found a decent condition I wonder if anyone that found it would have a working player or know what it was.
Even for a show that's literally designed to get people together, it's still crazy to see that it would cause such a long and happy marriage. Does make me wonder if there's any other long lasting marriages that show created.
At first I was gonna joke that Chuck Barris Productions burned their copy because it might contain some incriminating evidence of Chuck's assassination/drugrunning work for the CIA.. But then I saw Cal's mustache, clearly Chuck was just too damn jealous
I love how there are just communities on the internet that dive head first into the internet to find old and lost things. It’s like digital archaeology
Damn, Bruce Cardozo was ahead of his time. The actor playing Peter in his film straight up looks like Andrew Garfield. Imagine what Cardozo could have done with a modern movie budget and cgi. Literally could have started the Spider-Man film hype.
It's amazing to me how cool these remaining photos of this lost Spider-Man movie look, it's really old but you immediately can tell that the person behind was passionate about it at the time, ahead of his time, really.
@@gjeraldh2989 As Jorge says in the video, it closely follows the storyline of The Amazing Spider-Man #15, just omitting The Chameleon and adding in Gwen Stacey, so if you can find the comic panels online, then you can glean what happens in the movie.
Shot in the dark but the song could be: “The Curse of the Ivory Coast” by Riverboat Gamblers. It’s a band local to Denton, it has a guitar solo and the chorus lyrics are kinda similar. Update 5/24: OP says it isn’t the song. We will find it…one day.
the spiderman stuff is so interesting - I really wish the creator had thought to back it up somewhere, or been more open with sharing the film. it would have made for an incredible piece of both film and superhero history

@@expensivepink7 Serial killer Rodney Alcala appeared in the dating game in 1978 and he actually won the game. On hindsight, some of the things he said were incredibly creepy like when the woman asked him what's his favorite time and he said that his favorite time was night time. Luckily, the woman who actually cose him to be her date survived since when she got backstage with him, he started giving her the creeps so she backed out of the date. In total, Alcala killed at least 8 people, including 12 year old Robin Samsoe. He had also nearly killed 8-year old Tally Shapiro in 1972 but she couldn't testify in court since her parents wanted to protect her from the attention this would gather so Alcala was only sentenced to nine years for assault. He only served two of them before paroled. Alcala also was a photographer. He had hunderds of pictures of women. Some of these are still unidentified. It's very likely that some of these people are Alcala's victims. Alcala was sentenced to death but since California has changed their rules on the death penalty, it's very unlikely he'll ever face the chair or the syringe.
Im almost 25 and have literally never seen that shrek meme before. It really Looks like an ad/promo image made at the time, looks too polished to be made by a fan. At that period in time, it seems like pretty top notch animation/fidelity so it’s more likely that a company with more employees and money made it. Lots of ads/commercials never get aired, or taken down and then disappear.
I am a huge alkaline trio fan and that sounds just like their lyrics, and they're definitely melodic punk. They don't have many guitar solos tho. I recommend checking out their older stuff for something like this, maybe something off Maybe I'll Catch Fire or their self-titled album like Radio, Bleeder, Maybe I'll Catch Fire, or something from their B-sides albums like Remains - I'm gonna listen to their entire discography on my 15 hour car ride this weekend and maybe I'll be able to find something! Edit: my absolute best guess is In My Stomach like another commenter mentioned. It could be Bleeder as well, but In My Stomach has the most similar lyrics for sure. Unless there’s some hidden b side somewhere I have never heard!
KXT 91.7 is "One of the few non-commercial radio stations in North Texas, KXT supports local artists and plays a unique mix of new, local and legendary music that listeners love" Very possible it was some obscure local band somewhere out there in North Texas with one album and 200 instagram followers I worked in recording studios in Detroit for a couple years and despite having big acts in here and there every couple months, It's mostly bands that were a group of friends/coworkers who do this as a hobby and each pitched in some money and time just to create an album together for the fun and memory of it
Quick note about the file name of the shrek image.. all shots at dreamworks start on frame 101 - even if they are just posters and don’t have any other frames.. And the .r extension is because the image format used at the time was a PDI proprietary format - an r file. Thus, .r as the extension. It wasn’t until years later that we switched to .exr files.
re: the "frame 101" situation. I work in animation. often, there will be a "buffer" of rendered frames, from 10 or even 100, so that an editor can go and cut in whenever they please, sometimes a bit earlier than what otherwise would be the "first" frame. They do this in live-action film too: yelling "rolling" to get that buffer, and then "action" after a second or two so they can cut in whenever they need to in editing. In this sense, 101 would refer to the first frame of that shot AFTER editing has been completed, and the excess beginning buffer frames were cut out.
I assumed it's a scene with a fully rigged Shrek, so whilst there may be no animation, it makes perfect sense there's different shots and renders from said "Camera scene"
15:43 For the Shrek mystery one thing to note is that when the creator said "photo real" he might have meant he made a photo realistic model of the hp camera, especially judging by the way the sentence was phrased, meaning there still could be an animation tied with the image.
To me it's not silly getting caught up on a song. I've tried thousands of times to search for particular songs. Some came after years of searching, one remains elusive. So no, it's not silly at all.
I've been looking for an anime I saw on tv as a kid for 20 years now. I try every year with whatever new sites appear, but no luck. I understand too. I have to know.
@@jtarantula3390 I can't remember sadly. I saw it air in Japanese on a channel called AZN in America in maybe like 2000 or 2001. I also watched Record of Lodoss War and Patlabor in similar timeslots in the evening/at night, same channel, also probably same year. From what I can remember there were three or four adult women on motorcycles, in a landscape of a pastel dystopia. Like a huge parking garage-like structure but it looked like pink concrete with teal accents is something i think i remember. Probably some random OVA they showed one time so it doesn't show up in lists if shows aired on the channel since it was probably a one-off. Sounds like a fever dream but i swear it is real, i saw it.
"The Dating Game" one kind of reminds me of a personal case of lost media I hope is found lol. My parents got married in a small town in Mexico and their wedding was recorded on tape. I don't know if any other Mexican families do this, but usually when there is a wedding or Qinceanera, it is recored and then emotional music and flower effects/and transitions are added to sort of make it into a "movie", its very cheesy but I love it 🤣. Anyways now a days its usually made into a dvd and we give it to other family members so they can watch the wedding or celebration. My parents wedding movie was a single vhs tape back in the day and my parents haven't found it. We live in the U.S. and my parents say the tape was in Mexico but no one has been able to find it. I asked my grandma and a couple family members if they have it when I visit MX during christmas and they all say they haven't found it. My speculation is that it probably got lost when my parents were moving from MX to the U.S., they had a lot of junk so it probably got thrown out accidentally. My grandma likes to keep a lot of stuff, she still has my barney toys from when I was like 7 and family photos she won't give to my mom, so my mom thinks my grandma has it and is hiding it for some reason. they don't have the best relationship lol. Not as interesting as "The Dating Show", but I hope the vhs tape is still out there somewhere and is found some day, my parents really want to see it again 😭.
Not this show, but your story reminded me of my graduation video, which my classmates and I were supposed to receive, but never heard of since... 10 years later, we're still wondering if copies, even actual video does exist...))

Just an observation about the Shrek commercial-the still frames are in 16:9, the standard aspect ration for HD television, and while some stations had voluntarily transitioned to HD fairly early in the 2000’s, only something like 36% of US stations were broadcasting in HD by the start of 2009. It’s still very possible that this commercial was distributed in HD, but it occurs to me that instead of being intended for broadcast, it may have been made as a theatrical commercial to be run on the big screen, which is where you’d more often find wide-screen presentation in the early 2000’s. Just an idea.
That would explain why they made a Fiona commercial for TV. They saved the Shrek commercial for the movies. I mean it's not really a great explanation, but I can see some marketing exect seeing that as a good idea.
he's like the internet version of when you ask mom to help you find a toy you misplaced. you can't find the toy, but mom seemingly produces it with magic
15:40 the description refers to the 3d model of the camera. Steve created a photo realistic detailed model of the camera. The render and the scene are probably not made directly by him, as he's credited as just the artist for the camera model.
I like how well Cardozo took his Spiderman film not taking off--he was happy with having made the art whether or not anyone saw it Its a nice contrast to how a lot of unfinished media stories seem to be a downward spiral for the authors involved
The song was discovered before or after she passed away. The Shrek commercial has basically been confirmed by people who work on it and people who know about the files that it was only ever a photo ad. The Dating Game episode is just waiting for time to pass and hoping to find out that someone recorded it on a VHS someday before the couple passes away. The Spider-Man film is pretty much hopeless outside of one of a few people who worked on it having a rough copy saved on their files.
@@Dumbangel Whimper - Jordan, That Was Savage. Everything about it is completely accurate to a t, outside of a couple of minor details, which is why she either denied it or never answered and had people assume it wasn't the case. The date and station it was played on lines up perfectly. There's always a chance it truly wasn't and it was just extremely similar to it or that it was a different cover of it, but it seems very unlikely at this point. I've thought of movies and songs for many years that I've only seen or listened to once that ended up having many moments or writing and tone differences that are nothing like how I remembered it being and despite thinking I knew them 100% accurately. That's how memory works for everyone and especially with wanting to believe it had something in it because it sounds good in your mind and based on other previous songs you've listened to. Most people are pretty positive it was the song and that she just misremembered how it exactly was and, understandably in her situation, refused to accept it. It would suck to be in her position and discover it after years, before leaving this earth, only to realize it isn't what you remembered it being or as special as you thought it was in your mind when they listened to it on that day. It happens all the time with people's brains. If not for that detail then she possibly would've said it was. There's rarely a lost song or a film throughout these Lost Media searches that are 90% to 100% accurate to the original description. The closest to it is the Subway commercial.
As a huge fan of the character, Spider-Man vs Kraven the Hunter is probably the single piece of lost media I want to see the most. I know that it’s an extremely old film with very limited screenings, but I really hope it can resurface one day.
in 2004 I would have been 5 or 6 years old, so take my memories with a grain of salt as I might be misremembering or remembering a later ad campagne, but I do remember an ad with Shrek characters walking through an HP store looking at different cameras. Distinctly, I remember Shrek and Puss in boots walking by, and the characters asking about different needs that they have. Shrek wanted something professional, Puss wanted something lightweight, and Fiona wanted something easy to use. I might be completely off base, but I'm pretty sure this ad existed.
It’s a shame that Marion Stokes (look her up, it’s a fascinating story) didn’t start doing her recording until 1979. But, if this couple’s episode was re-aired anytime after ‘79, that may be an avenue to locate The Dating Game episode that’s being sought.
Absolutely heart breaking just the thought that op will possibly never hear the song again and that it’s just a los cause finding it. I wish the best of luck to them and my heart truly goes out to them.
As a kid, I once saw an anti-pollution PSA that was really interesting. All I remember about it is it was probably made in either the late 1960s or the 1970s (either early or mid-) and there was a sign on the side of the doorway of a stone wall like the ones you'd find on beaches that said "This Beach Unsafe For Bathing". Then, it faded into a shot of a rat walking on a beach and a voice-over saying "Now the beach belongs to him. Beaches should be for people." Can anyone find this thing so I can see it and prove I'm not crazy?
i've seen this topic covered fully before by Whang and i never actually expected you to cover it (albeit in a small part of a large video) as well, it's a surprise for sure but a welcome one
The chosen one has returned! All hail blameitonjorge! I totally get where the OP is coming from. As a lover of garage punk and obscure bands from the 80s & 90s, I have several songs I've been searching for since listening to college radio stations as a teen, over 30 years ago (damn, just realized I'm a boomer lol). I will ask my friend Ryan who was an obscure punk collector and did a punk rawk radio show on 89.7 KYMC in St. Louis. He might have the answer they're looking for. There were two shows on that station from 87-89 that I believe have archived shows on the internet if anyone's interested. "Pipeline Radio Fanzine" and my friend's shows were called "The Super Fun Happy Hour" and "Flying Saucer Attack". edit: I just got to the part where it says the post has been deleted but in memory I'm still going to continue the search for them.
A band named Wirerims had said Glittering-craft's song could be one of their's, which is called "Do Right". They even confirmed that they sent the song to KXT
The Spider-Man lost film is the most painful for me. My favourite character growing up and basically every other professional and fan-made film/game/comic has been archived/saved besides that. It reminds me of a lot of TH-camrs and lost media nowadays but pre-internet days, where they delete them by feeling embarrassed by them being made when they were kids, only to regret it later on. It looked so ahead of its time and I respect the detail put into it that no other Spider-Man film has done.
Missed you Jorge. These are really good. Wish we could find that song...and the ppl on the Dating Game! That would be a historic find. Bet there are millions of films that would be worth seeing. Now we know about this one. Thanks J.
I really felt for the person looking for the song. I heard this song many times back in the late 90s at a grocery store where I worked but could not find out the name of the song or who sang it. Googled lyrics, asked in different forums, etc. over the years but unable to find out the song or finding it again.
It seems like that music post was also deleted on r/datahoarder too. It seems like either (WARNING: This is speculation) the mods are being grade A+ buttholes, the user is known for lying or this is a strange mystery that no one was supposed to know about.
@@bloandon Not that I've seen. Though, I'm too lazy to shift through 635 comments and a massive subreddit for probably one or two posts referencing it.
I'm pretty positive the mystery song doesn't actually exists, or the lyrics were misheard. It also happens sometimes that when your brain doesn't remember things too well it fills in the gaps with other memories, making us remember things like songs "mixed" with other music that sounded similar
Especially considering the OP claimed to have an ‘inoperable tumor’. Most of the time that means a brain tumor. I had a relative pass away from brain cancer and it really fucked up a lot of their personality/senses/memory in the beginning. I hope that’s not the case, but it’s definitely a possibility.
@@bombygriz hmm it's not always brain tumors though. Often inoperable tumors also refer to those where the prognosis of the patient doesn't change regardless of whether it's removed or not. For instance if it already spread and physically the tumor isn't causing clinical symptoms by itself. I'm pretty sure if it was a brain tumor that is causing alterations in the state of consciousness the OP would have mentioned it so, taken it's actually real and not some sob story attached to the post in order to propulse the thread.
I feel like the song could be misremembered over time. My brother and I kept whistling a melody for years and chorus but didn’t recall why or what song. It turns out, it was the title melody of a video game we played in 2006 and we couldn’t find it because we didn’t remember the song and lyrics right. All along both of us had a “wrong” version in our heads. We pulled out the game when cleaning a couple years back and only then realised.
Around 2003 my family just purchased our first computer. I remembered watching the Shrek commercials that Fiona was in it. What’s strange is that the packaging for the home computer was promoting the Shrek HP campaign. What’s even more stranger is that those commercials were everywhere online when I was using the computer.
12:24 - was not expecting a Kenny Lauderdale shoutout. His channel used to be small and I'm glad to see it get more recognition lately. Also, I forgot it was his tweet that made the Shrek mystery blow up 😅
Oh I recognize good ol Kenny. He has plenty of videos of some of the finest anime taste Japan use to make back in the 80s & 90s especially some related to Sakura Girls that was once popular back then. He had a vid about one very rare & very lost media "OVA" that was mentioned only from the record label of the opening song "Fighter" that probably never existed at all
As a big Spider-Man fan, I would love to see that fan film. Kraven is one of the best villains and it would be very interesting to see how they translated him to the screen. It's cool they put Spider-Man's rarely seen signal light in it too. I've been meaning to check out The Green Goblin's Last Stand for a long time but have never gotten around to it. It looks like something a lot of passion was put into as well.
15:46 you might have confused the phrase in this paragraph actually - he means he made a photo real model of the camera to go with Shrek, not just a photo of Shrek with a camera! It’s not a noun but an adjective for the type of model he made for the advertisement. Still it could be only a model and not have actually been made into a commercial.
16:00 As an amature CG animator/ Renderer. Artist tend to use multiple frames for a still image to get the right lighting, angle or particle effect simulation. It can also just be the creator testing certain poses that didn't go into the final product witch is why there are so many angles and different poses of the same concept of Shrek hold a camera. Im not saying that the Shrek Commercial isnt a video, im just saying this as a person in this field.
I'm a huge Spider-Man fan. I've read the Spider-Man Vs. Kraven the Hunter comic. It's really good. I really hope that the film is found. Same with that lost song. I'll try to pitch in as much as I can to help find it.
The third one with the Dating Game is probably one of the most wholesome pieces of lost media. I really hope they find the tape so they can see it again.
I’m not dieing or anything, but there is this lost commercial that I have been searching desperately for. It is now just a memory that my grandpa and I share together. I have spent a lot of time trying to find it, and I’m wondering if it's gone forever. It was nothing special, really, but we used to watch it over and over again. It was hilarious, or at least that’s what I remember. My grandpa tells me all the time that he wishes he could see it again. I was too little to remember important details, like what company it was even for. What I can remember; There was one guy, or maybe two, working on a billboard. They were on a machine (that for the life of me I can’t remember what its called) that I think looked like those ones suspended by wires that some people use to clean the outside of windows on large buildings. I also believe that they may have been talking to a narrator-like voice, but I’m not sure. Anyway, the machine drops suddenly, and the guy on the machine starts to scream like a girl, and then machine stops suddenly, and the guy is embarrassed. This is all I remember, though my grandpa says he thinks it was some sort of insurance commercial.
The lost song segment reminded me that I have a lost song of my own. I heard it in a TH-cam video that I used to rewatch and this video made me go to loom for it, only to discover that all the videos from the channel are now unavailable. I tried searching it when the video was still up and even asked the creator of the video what the song was, but I didn't get any answers. I tried giving people the lyrics but nobody that I talked to could recognize it (I asked r/namethatsong but got frustrated after no results). I really liked the song and it made me sad that I'll probably never listen to it again.
The lost song sounds extremely familiar, which is why I 100% believe the OP has the lyrics wrong. The song in question I believe is from the early 2000s or late 90s.
@@wartortle577 I may be? Curse of the Ivory Coast didn't ring a bell for me. But I truly don't think the OP has the correct lyrics. I understand that need to find that "one" song, I spent ages looking for the beginning of PRIDE by Kendrick Lamar, all because I misheard a lyric and as such none of the youtube results brought up what I wanted. This person has received at minimum HUNDREDS of song suggestions, all of which aren't correct. It's either the lyrics are wrong, or the beat which the OP sings it to are wrong. We know the OP only listened to the end of that song, so for all we know the beginning could be WILDLY different. From what I heard, I am certain that the song she is singing is from that specific era.
I remember when I was in highschool in early 2018 I worked at a Carl’s Jr. And the radio was always on in the store and I heard this song that I can’t find anywhere. The chorus was “stay! We’re meant to be together! Stay! This love won’t last forever!” I wish I could find it but it’s literally no where and I know how frustrating this
a note about the shrek one: the description on the artstation account says "photo real," not "photo reel." a photo reel is a collection of photos, which is the meaning you seem to take it as. "photo real" is a style descriptor for many kinds of visual art, including video and animation, simply meaning they tried to make this rendered thing look as realistic as a photo. so it's very likely that he wasnt saying this was a part of a collection of photos, but rather that it was realisticly rendered, whether it was a still image or a video.
Your reading style gave me an important observation. At first it was annoying, but then I realized that the pauses gave me enough time to absorb the information fully. Now I will try to remember to use pauses when I read.
"Photo real" probably meant "photorealistic" as in the model wasn't just some rough cartoony design, but an accurate representation of the product, which is what I think he wanted to emphasize.
as someone who works for a TV station. They usually keep a bunch of old tapes in a storage with old video. A coworker who has been with the company for 41 years showed me a tape of a recording they did with Selena Quintanilla. I know that's not rare but I'm assuming TV stations would have a storage with a bunch of tapes
omg the KXT Denton one was a JUMPSCARE for me -- literally where I'm living right now and my college town lol. Too close to home! But having trouble finding a somewhat obscure song on a local radio show here makes a lot of sense, as a few of the local channels will play songs by VERY small bands/artists in the local Denton music scene -- which is quite booming. So interesting to see this!!!
Great work as always, blameitonjorge. Whether your videos discuss multiple examples of lost media or are devoted wholly to one specific mystery, you always do an exceptionally commendable job of informing us about them and getting us interested.
My husband had this best friend in high school whose Dad would literally record everything. I mean everything. He had an entire bedroom completely filled with vhs tapes and vcrs, all he did was record everything on tv. This would have been all through the 80’s to early 90’s. Maybe even earlier. I have no idea if this treasure trove of tapes still exists because he passed away several years ago. But, my husband does still talk to this friend every now and then. I’m going to get my husband to ask him if he inherited all of his dads tapes or if they’re even still around.
Oh he'll definitely have something obscure that people are looking for, weird to think that he could be the key to an investigation because he recorded everything constantly
@@Eggplantss we’re in the Houston TX area. And come to think of it he probably continued recording all through the 90’s since vhs tapes were still popular through that decade. I’ll keep y’all posted if my husband talks to him!
Actually makes a lot of sense that Joey Ramone was involved with the Spider-Man V Kraven movie since the band did do a cover of the 70s Spider-Man theme.
Tommy. Not Joey. And by that point Tommy was way out of the ramones, he wasn't even involved in production by the time of the spiderman cover for the Saturday Morning compilation. Tommy was an old school comics nerd though. He likely would have loved the idea.
The lost Spiderman film lives in my mind a lot. From what we can see, it looks really innovative and passionate. The actors all fit their roles so well, and the accents would make them feel so genuine, not to mention the fact that this was 70s New York, an era where the city reached an iconic level of crime and disrepair. You can't ask for a better backdrop to a hero like Spiderman.
Hey, George. I distinctively remember the Shrek commercial. IMSC, Shrek and the gang are posing for pictures and all the side characters are up to antics. Shrek is either annoyed or frustrated. After a moment of antics, the gang are all on the floor or together in an awkward pose. Shrek has the camera off screen and puts it up to his eye to take the picture. As he's doing this (and this is the part i dont remember exactly but recall him saying something) he exclaims either, "Now smile, everyone" or "say cheese!". I remember that this was a while after Shrek 1 came out and stopped airing a year before the second one was announced. It WAS a commercial, but im not sure if it was HP or Kodak or some other camera company. Maybe im wrong but I hope im right because after i saw this video, it clicked in my mind. Good luck everyone because now its killing me to figure out if it actually happened or i was dreaming.
I recently heard some really devastating news regarding Bruce Cardozo and the 2002 Spider-Man film, actually. Apparently there were some executives in Hollywood or whatever, and they had contacted him and offered to fly him down for a cameo. but when he arrived it was a cameo bag.

The song she was looking for is called Jordan, that was savage by Whimper. Local band at that time from Denton. And people want to discount this because the lyric is actually “To hide from anything” not “to try for anything” and the rest of the lyrics she sang are spot on.

Any luck now my friend?
In regards to the "photo reel" part at 15:41 - it says "I created a photo real, detailed model of their HP camera for shrek to hold." I don't take this to be a misspelling of "photo reel," like you imply, I think he shortened "photorealistic" to "photo real" in his post.

@@pentexsucks43 I dunno. I've never heard of anyone using "photo reel" as a phrase before, but "photo-real" is a very common one.
@@expensivepink7 Serial killer Rodney Alcala appeared in the dating game in 1978 and he actually won the game.

I love how cryptic the name of the chapters are. You wouldn't believe how anxious I was once I saw one of the chapters was named "shrek"
Rest in peace to Bruce Cardozo, your masterpiece is still remember, even when it hasn't been seen.
Reddit moderators removing the most wholesome, kind post in Reddit history because it broke an innocuous super obscure rule of the subreddit.
It’s a shame that Marion Stokes (look her up, it’s a fascinating story) didn’t start doing her recording until 1979. But, if this couple’s episode was re-aired anytime after ‘79, that may be an avenue to locate The Dating Game episode that’s being sought.

The Dating Game story is the best thing I've seen all week. So wholesome. I hope they can find their episode!
Beaches should be for people."
Can anyone find this thing so I can see it and prove I'm not crazy?

Lol if you were a boomer you’d probably be retired by this point
Wow, this, Defunctland, and a SummoningSalt video all in one week. Can't get much better than this.

Googled lyrics, asked in different forums, etc. over the years but unable to find out the song or finding it again.
the same song?
@@letsgoaway No.
It seems like that music post was also deleted on r/datahoarder too. It seems like either (WARNING: This is speculation) the mods are being grade A+ buttholes, the user is known for lying or this is a strange mystery that no one was supposed to know about.
Reddit mods being buttholes? That would never happen!
I checked OP’s profile and the only posts were about the missing song. Unless they have taken down their other posts I think they’re legit
Have the mods said why they deleted it? Seems pretty interesting to me that a post with that much attention would just randomly get deleted
@@Feniansmosh Well then, we can cross the lier theory of the list. It's strange how the posts where taken down by the mods...
The amount of times I've misheard lyrics... yeah I don't doubt she got those lyrics wrong and is sending everyone down the wrong track
exactly this
Especially considering the OP claimed to have an ‘inoperable tumor’.
The time Jorge chose to return to his lost media files roots is just about right.
12:24 - was not expecting a Kenny Lauderdale shoutout. His channel used to be small and I'm glad to see it get more recognition lately.
Also, I forgot it was his tweet that made the Shrek mystery blow up 😅
Kenny is the prime source of good content about anime.
Oh I recognize good ol Kenny. He has plenty of videos of some of the finest anime taste Japan use to make back in the 80s & 90s especially some related to Sakura Girls that was once popular back then. He had a vid about one very rare & very lost media "OVA" that was mentioned only from the record label of the opening song "Fighter" that probably never existed at all
Turns out I subscribed to blameitonjorge and kenny lauderdale in the same week back in early 2019.
As an update, the Wicked Witch episode of Sesame street was finally found!
Love this channel so much!!

Really interesting, but sad to see media getting lost, it's pretty much history slipping away...
The “photo real” thing for the shrek one was probably supposed to mean “photo-realistic”
Possibly Geico? Or maybe Farmers
Lost media on Jorge's channel never gets old.
What was the video or poster?
The lost song sounds extremely familiar, which is why I 100% believe the OP has the lyrics wrong. The song in question I believe is from the early 2000s or late 90s.
Some people are saying it could be "Curse of the Ivory Coast" by Riverboat Gamblers. Does that ring a bell to you?
You're probably mixing it up with another song.
Sooo, what's the song? I want to know

I remember when I was in highschool in early 2018 I worked at a Carl’s Jr. And the radio was always on in the store and I heard this song that I can’t find anywhere. The chorus was “stay! We’re meant to be together! Stay! This love won’t last forever!” I wish I could find it but it’s literally no where and I know how frustrating this
I wish people who made movies today were as passionate as this man was
a note about the shrek one: the description on the artstation account says "photo real," not "photo reel." a photo reel is a collection of photos, which is the meaning you seem to take it as.
"To try to stomach things. It just kept getting worse". That sounds like a line from a Touché Amoré song lol
Your reading style gave me an important observation. At first it was annoying, but then I realized that the pauses gave me enough time to absorb the information fully. Now I will try to remember to use pauses when I read.
I can't believe nobody tried to record this at a festival, especially back in the Spider-Man craze of the early 2000s.
"Photo real" probably meant "photorealistic" as in the model wasn't just some rough cartoony design, but an accurate representation of the product, which is what I think he wanted to emphasize.
Considering he also spelled "copyright" as "copy write" I'm not too sure...
The way op sang that song, I'm 100% sure I have heard that very song somewhere as well
as someone who works for a TV station.

The dating game story is the sweetest thing I’ve heard
Now they need to find that tape to top it off
The lost Spiderman film lives in my mind a lot.
