Analog Horror has taken the internet by storm, allowing an entirely new generation of creators to share their unique, low-fidelity passion projects with the world. But I know what you’re thinking: “I wonder what Spaceman Scott thinks about them?” Well, wonder no more, as today we take a look at some of the most popular (and a few lesser-known) Analog Horror series, and rank them based on how much they scared me, entertained me, or made me want to fall in a boredom-induced coma. Enjoy!

We're so thrilled that Angel Hare was included, and EXPLODED at how happy you were to draw it! Thanks for tagging us so we could show up for the premiere and for the incredibly entertaining ride. We'll wear the title of "nostalgic tragedy" with such pride.
Aw I'm so glad you enjoyed! Angel Hare genuinely is something special and I hope that I can put a few more people onto it with this video - you all ABSOLUTELY deserve it!

For Local58, Kris Straub actually made it to be canon with his other horror works like Candle Cove and Broodhollow. It's pretty much confirmed that Candle Cove aired on Local58, and the town Broodhollow is listed as one of the places that the channel broadcasts to. Cadavre is also a comic strip character from Broodhollow, tying everything together.
HE WROTE CANDLE COVE?! I never knew that holy shit. I definitely gotta actually check out all of Local 58 now.
I’m watching this video because I pretty much never actually put any time into watching any of these series but I love hearing people talk about them 😂
@yoshida_michii Definitely read Broodhollow too. (Another fun fact: Broodhollow and Kris's colleagues' work at PennyArcade were featured heavily in the set design for the first season of Peacemaker as well. You'll see a hardcover of the first volume of Broodhollow in the abandoned bookstore where the team are based out of, and the bar that the characters frequent have PennyArcade pinball machines and have episodes of Acquisitions Inc, which Kris animates the intros for, on their TVs.)
HOW DID NOT KNOW HE WROTE CANDLE COVE IM GONNA FREAK THATS SO COOL
If you're unaware, he has a collection of creepypasta called Ichorfalls (a lot of it appears in the comic so it may be redundant to you.) Kris is one of those writers who's work really affects me, so I always get excited when I see his name attached to a project. My personal favorite story to date is "The Fulcrum," though it's definitely more on the comedic side.
@@AnonYmous-ow2eb I believe You Are On The Fastest Available Route is one of the entries on Ichor Falls as well.

Petscop is so important to me and I'm glad to see it get the praise it deserves.
I've written multiple college papers on it, that's how much it means to me
Side note: if you did a part 2 to this, some ones I'd need to recommend are Boisvert and Lacey's Games. Also the work of a channel called "Dr Nowhere", a lot of it is one-off stuff like the Boiled One Phenomenon but it's all done super well
I'm genuinely interested in how Lacey's would rank
I see Lacey's in a similar vein to Urban Spook. Not meaning that it's bad, but that it has a lot of its horror derived from shock. However, it actually has a purpose, as it is meant to convey how child abuse affects us (and also my or may not have implications of substance abuse? not sure on that one). Personally I place it in A
@littykitty040 I would put it in the A teir as well. The series at least executed these topics well, unlike urbanspooks.
BOISVERT MENTION!!! When I first saw a snippet of the series I was terrified for days.
another recommendation(I saw someone mention it in the chat replay) would be the Mikaeli series(you know, the one where you hit a piece of metal 17 times)

People forget that the death screen of fnaf 1 is literally the eyeballs of your character hanging out of the suit your stuffed into. The games have always had some sort of gore or fucked up moments from the beginning.
Also Springtraps like, entire design is pretty gorey, also the FNAF 3 secret screens too
it's definitely not "in your face" about it, like yes they're there, but for the most part it chooses to go for a safer route, especially involving the five children incidents (outside of maybe Into the Pit which i'm REALLY excited about)
It wasn't exactly gory, but watching the crying child in that one fnaf game get his head crushed flat and go completely limp has stuck with me *forever*
@@spiderbug7615 "WAS THAT THE-"
Also the teeth, can't forget your teeth
i haven’t checked out vita carnis in a while, but hearing the audio of the child gave me chills on what might’ve happened. the way vita carnis handles child death is genuinely good because once you hear the audio then it gives you chills and makes you feel bad (more bad then how you would normally feel). god i love analog horror
Honestly, it's what I love about vita carnis. Knowing more doesn't take away from the horror- it's done so well that knowledge makes it scarier.
I'd love to hear your take on White Stag Education. It's not as intense as Analog Horror often tries to be, but there's genuine effort put into it. It's charming.
So, for the part about the "the man in the suit" criticism thing, i think the english translatoon says, "You nuked them" is because it was translated after the uploader received it. Thats my suspension of disbelief for that lol.
Greylock in C tier is heartbreaking for me but givin the reasons why you put it in C tier is understandable
same asf greylock has to be one of the better mainstream analog horror
I'm fine with Greylock being on C, I'm not okay with it being on the same tier as The Painter
I tried getting into it because of how it was being hyped by everyone, and while I enjoy the first episode with the biblical horror and found the miners incident interesting, I wasn’t too captivated by it. The plot seems more like The Stairs in the Woods with random unrelated incidents than a connected plot.
@maddiemare5093 yeah like I appreciate that the creators are giving the story room to breathe but unless you're supplementing it with wendigoon vids then it's probs best to return to greylock when it has more eps.
Dude honest to God, I introduced my ex into greylock 3 separate times completely forgetting about it and hearing different parts of the story thinking they were all form different things
Just that one clip you showed from the Tangi virus, of the doctor explaining her realization of being infected, and the lengths she goes to in order to avoid being turned into something else... I was horrified to a nauseous degree. And I wish I had the courage to watch it. God. What a nightmare of a scenario.
It is very good, though as a fan of Vintage 8 I'm very biased for most of their work
Having The Human Trial and Greylock in the same tier as Urbanspook filled me with immense rage
I wouldn’t have been as mad with them being in C tier if Urbanspook wasn’t there
I agree with human trail and urban being in the same league but with greylock? Heart broken 💔

I will say that , as a newcomer to analog horror viewer Greylock is great but i have the same issues with focussing on what it is happening. I mean maybe at the end ,everything will have sens, but right now we have: imagination become reality , human mutation, acient civilization, spying project. Ep 12 is amazing but it could better as a spread two videoes. Also to much loud noices and epileptic triggers ( in ep 12 is the worst ).
So happy to see Angel Hare - this is one of those shows that I have a deeply personal attachment to and you really summed up well exactly why. It's such a special piece of media
When the guy in the closet in greylock dies, and then the thing that killed him saying in a child’s voice
“it’s a monster!”
Is probably my favorite death in any analog horror, ever.
Just because of the implications alone.
Yeah, it was really good.
Yeah it’s stupidly well done.
explaining fnaf in terms of it being its own genre is a super effective way to describe how the internet has changed the IP into smth beyond itself, which i think is why the later entries were so controversial because they didn’t “feel” like fnaf. which is interesting bc they were part of the franchise but still didn’t feel right, and it’s bc we conceptualize it as a genre! well put, my friend! also i’m 20 mins in and obsessed w this vid already so well done on the snappy start
Agreed somewhat!
I do feel personally with fnaf sb ruin and somewhat with help wanted 2
And help wanted 1 too honestly
I feel it feeelsss more fnaf in a sense? Especially ruin in my eyes, at least compared to the main game fnaf sb
Tho with that said I def agree in that it’s became more than just a property but more of somethin to use as an effective thing overall
Hell I feel the walten files does super well in that.
I do kinda hope when I’m done making my costumes and the series that, it’d feel like it’s celebrating the fnaf franchise both classic and modern as well as doing it’s own thing (pfp is the head of it I making)
Fnaf became Dark souls
people will say Fnaf-like when a Horror Game from a Big Company come in this style😂
Honestly, if fnaf followed a formula of every 1st release was more horror and mature while every 2nd was more kid friendly with less lore than the 1st, we would like it.

Putting greylock in C is a crime
Mendela was almost B
agree, deserving of A/S tbh.
its slow burn and its visuals are the integral part of the series horror imo. It being not easy accessible to everyone like me makes the series better by making us much more curious about the stuff occurring.
It's definitely a personal issue, as in he doesn't understand what Greylock is trying to tell him and just tossed it up to bad storytelling. Like you can see from the way he speaks about all the different anomalies like they're random and not related to the same thing at all. As far as I know all the people I've talked to about Greylock agrees it's a story about a cult serving an ancient god inside Greylock that has a supernatural ability to manifess human imagination. Also he talked about how the pacing is too slow while showing one of the best scene in the entire series that is perfectly paced kinda tells he did not even gave the series a chance in the first place
And Smiletape being in S is criminal that series peak boringness. It's literally just streching the Gabriel smiling picture from Mandela into a full on series
What's more of a crime is the painter is on C along side it. The painter is easily D tier and its weird to see those two in the same tier.
not only do i love this video (aside from how low greylock was on the list but we're not gonna talk about that ❤ [still, you had really good points!]), but i LOVED your own analog horror at the end-- i genuinely can't believe i almost skipped it. the only thing i didn't like about it was the fact it didn't continue and isn't a full fledged series. great video! i definitely need to watch more of your content.
seeing greylock in the same tier as the painter fills me with unreasonable wrath and fury
Somewhere out there, wendigoon is quivering in anguish
and seeing SMILING TAPES ABOVE MANDELA CATALOGUE is just fucked up 😭
Painter should be D tier, but I kinda agree with Greylock in C tier, at most B. Visuals are great, and they did genuinely spook me, but I love lore, and I had little clue to what was going on during the episodes

As someone who is not an analog horror person (on account of I get paranoid reeeal easily with things like this), your tape at the end is really very well done. Loved how you started off by setting up the atmosphere of "something is off here, but I can't tell what", and then used that idea of slowly drip-feeding information and ratcheting up the tension that you referenced throughout the video. The writing was good and the art was PHENOMENAL. Some of the alterations were subtle, but they were all *very* effective. If you made more of this, I would definitely give it a shot.
I cannot describe how happy it makes me to see angel hare in s tier. That series means the whole world to me and has comforted me beyond belief, i only found it back in november but ive watched it so many times whenever i start to feel bad. Gabby is such a warm hug of a character. I cant put into words how that series feels to me. It has healed a lot of deep set religious and childhood truama and ill never stop thanking the east patch for the series.
Everyone always talk about fucktoy cory being just a really disgusting inappropriate thing, but the thing I hate the most about it is that in his infinite wisdom, Urbanspook decided to name him after fucking Spazzkid. I can’t take any of it seriously because my mind is always jumping to about a dozen different Oneyplays/Sleepycabin references
That’s what took my out of Urbanspook in the first place. The name had me dumbfounded and that’s not what a name should do XD
"the victim was found being fucked by corey's dad"
He was siked to go to the forest by his two friends, Zach and Chris. Thats canon

it was surprising enough to make me question if cory's name actually was cory beck since that's a recurring joke on oneyplays and wonder if maybe urbanspook was referencing something else
“Okay so Cardiac Arrest…Viagra…internal bleeding- OOOHHH!” That line alone was gold, definitely gonna subscribe.
The Tangi Virus was accidentally trailed in by the lizard people like an invasive fungi on a boat. That's where it connects with the Orical Project. Orical becomes the shadow guide for humanity, controlling behind the scenes, doing what he must to save humanity from anything that threatens them, including themselves. Then they completely ruin his character in the next video but that's a story for another time.

I'd like to note the censors in Petscop are all revealed in the form of caskets, so I wouldn't really call it lazy. It's also implied that the censors have a deeper meaning since the channel is not actually run by Paul. If you want to learn more about Petscop I'd recommend watching Nightmare Masterclass' series on it!
Oh no, I was enjoying this video. 😥
But to be fair, I think Petscop sometimes requires some kind of "weirdo who is still excited about their PhD dissertation after a few hard years" energy. At least among Internet horror series.
1000% recommend Nightmare Masterclass' series too. The parts where he goes into politics are very small. That turns some people off. I mean *I* was a fan that argued with him over politics lol. As much as I loved Wendigoon, he gave Angel Hare such a hard time because he watched too much analogue horror and was suspicious of such a wholesome series. so I'm SO HAPPY Angel Hare was S TIER for you!!!
Also thank you for the Baroque Hour recco. horror comedy is SO hard to get right and this looks up my alley!
Congratulations for surviving these and thanks for the two hour recco!
Oh I so agree with that. I love angel hare so much, as a kid who had a hard childhood and escaped into the internet, it really spoke to me. I trust Gabby with my life
I think it’s less about him being horror-brained and more about the particular brand of religious he is. The idea that an angel could be both as vulnerable and morally ambiguous as Gabby is not really in line with his understanding of angels and more with his understanding of demons.
What do you mean he gave it a hard time? He absolutely loved Angel Hare, you can see in the stream he wholeheartedly enjoyed it and even the topics of the series hit him pretty hard, I don't think you can say in many more ways how much you love a series than he did on that stream
Now the theories about Gabby herself not being all that good, those are planted there by the series itself and hinted at a lot, moreso than any religious connotation or christian ideas of angels, his brand is to come up with crazy hare brained theories about every thing, he's called a lot of analog horror twists like that
It feels like the first comment was made by someone who didn't watch Wendigoon praising Angel Hare for 2 hours, and I also don't think it has that much to do with a specific religious viewpoint, it's just what the series presents just thinly veiled
Also, he gave Hreylock way too much praise.
@@SerechII let's ignore op for second
Yeah people love to try and find any reason to shit on wendigoon for being religious
TO BE FAIR, I think it's understandable for Paul to censor the real life coordinates of the windmill, especially considering there are clues in the dialog implying he lives pretty close to it. Also some of the stuff that was censored gets shown later in the series in the hallway, like the big rotating red triangle, when Marvin walks through the hallway that isn't there in Paul's version of the game. It is also kinda implied that the other objects are what was getting censored. Tony wasn't struggling to think what to put there cuz behind ever censor there was either really something that would be revealed later or stuff that is obviously something you'd want to censor and doesn't do much for the viewer anyway.
Shockingly, a lot like scp censorship, too, most scp articles redacted with material in mind, but due to the nature of the story and how scp is written, the details have to be withheld.
@@Th30nly0n SCP articles be like: I [Redacted] a tasty burger then went [Redacted] mode all over the [Redacted]
Also you should censor real life locations, otherwise you would see a ton of fans try to go to a windmill which are notoriously VERY LOUD lmao
honestly putting Man in the Suit in A and Greylock in C is so unhinged I kinda gotta respect it.
On a more serious note, since you asked for feedback on your analog horror, it doesn't make sense for a disposable camera to have "had its photos developed frequently." You use it once and that's it, that's what makes it disposable. Similarly why it wouldn't make sense to have the photos developed in small batches. If the camera has been used up, you're left with a single roll of film which would be developed all at once. It would make more sense to have it be several rolls of film, possibly alongside a disposable camera if you want that visual.
I would like to politely request more of your analog horror at the end ASAP. That pulled me in so quick. Thanks so much
The thing is I felt more emotions to 2 kids that die off screen in a car crash than the entire of urban spooks series that was trying to hard to make me……mad?? …..sad…??? I really don’t know

Not everyone is a fan of Greylock, kinda feel like it’s going trough the same thing as MC where it has many faults but people are really hyped about it, which is not a necessarily a bad thing either. It seems that it really is a series a lot of love is being put into, but I agree with the points made in this video. It feels as Greylock sometimes gets too ahead of itself and tries to go big every single episode instead of setting a reasonable pacing. Tbh I don’t care about any of the characters in the series, they all feel as if they come out of nowhere and are just sort of thrown into the plot without any build up. Plus, Greylock uses too much AI for my liking.

i dont see many people talking about it, but i really liked your analog horror at the end! i am not a big fan of analog horror and ive only seen like 2, (its difficult for me to enage with it because i have to give it my full attention so i dont miss any important details.) and while i did dislike that it was mostly just text, i was very invested in your story and would love to see more from it! i liked the sound design and i was very intrigued! if you do post more of it i will definitely check it out! i like that it seems to be a condensed story that doesn’t seem too out of the realm of possibility, and the editing was very nice too! amazing job!!
also i really enjoyed the rest of the ranking video! this is the first video ive seen from you and you are very entertaining! keep up the great work king!

Sat down at 1am and binged this thriller of a video, and then got hit with your own personal series was incredible. Honestly, im hooked on the story you've planned out so far, and the reveal at the end was... genuinley shocking. I stood up inches from my tv just to try and spot the odd frame out in the pictures cause i was that invested in what could possibly be happening. Genuinley stoked to see where you take the story and for the first time finding your channel, Im glad i did. I wanna stay in this loop and i am genuinley excited to see where you take your own series!!
That ending bit of analog horror you made was absolutely enjoyable, it left me really invested in what it had to offer! Small shape you didn't cover Harmony and Horror though, but I'm ecstatic with your ranking/thoughts on Angel Hare since I really loved that series!!^◇^
Something you missed about Petscop was that it wasn't him censoring things it was the family, The vague group that took over the channel afterwards so it isn't him censoring or hiding things because hes scared

Incredible video, so nice to see so much effort put into all of these great series and breaking them down. I'd also nearly entirely agree with the list, only thing I'd change is Walten Files in S tier, I've yet to see another analog horror capture as much genuine dread as they did
This video is fantastic.
I’m going to be saying ‘Bonnie if he slayed’ for ages lmao.
1:12:12 Mentions "nuke" being anachronistic.
Doesn't mention the VHS TAPE that was sent to someone with that word on it as being anachronistic
VHS, or Video Home System, was released in Japan on September 9, 1976, and in the United States on August 23, 1977.
This "vhs tape" with nuke on it was from 1962, literally 14-15 full years before VHS was even 1st released to the public!
*Michael Scott thank you GIF*
I'll be a hater and say I don't understand why people held that series in high regard. I couldn't take it seriously
I think there's a huge contradiction in how you can say Greylock has too many ideas going on and simultaneously hold that Monument Mythos is much better when it exhibits the same tendency. Not saying that your opinion is wrong, just that i think your rationalisation is a bit inconsistent.
Also he's kinda wrong about Greylock having too many ideas, literally everything connects in some way, but they're all framed as different events when they're not.
I don't know enough about MM to speak on it.
The difference is that greylock as boring and monument mythos isn't
The difference is monument mythos is able to center itself around a central theme, and it opens itself up with a much more focused first season.
@@theguardianqueen2628 Just don't talk about the last season
@@heinzmonster well that's the thing though. They had to work up to the last season. They opened up the world after they had a solidly established main plotline.
good video!! really engaging and i think your writing AND set really helped! Loved the pins and the board, thanks for the business expense because it really improved the viewing experience!
My primary criticism for your analogue horror is that you should probably focus less on walls of text, and if you do add them in, have a voice over applied to it. Audio is a huge aspect of horror media of any type as long as it's applicable, you already have a great voice you can use for it, and the audio bugging out when shit hits the fan could do you wonders for the spook factor.
A lot of analogue horror authors underestimate just how many vhs informational tapes had some kind of narration over it. Finding decent voice actors can be hard especially for new series so I get it.
@@mercury5003 Reminds me of how my first exposure to Gemini Home Entertainment was Inside A Mind, and how the narration his videos added really sold it for me. To which I was disappointed that they weren't a part of the official series. Still enjoyed it, but that narration just really added something...
To be fair, it's still a "teaser" sooo, nothing says there won't be voicelines once the full thing is out. It would be hella cool
I didn’t mind reading it, I just wish he gave me more time to read it. I’m a fast reader but I had to pause every time to read them, kind of annoying

Cool to see you post again even if I still didn’t catch it day one due to YT not giving me my notification but seeing as everyone is talking about the rankings and the series’s you did rank, I would like to say that your analog horror stuff in this video looks like a really interesting jumping off point to expand on.
it took me a while to finally get to this video, but MAN your analog horror video was amazing, it had the perfect "something is slightly off" vibe
Thank you for turning me onto Angel Hare! A lot of times I worry the indie horror on TH-cam tends to lean more towards just trying to scare rather than being just purely passionate, and Angel Hare feels like a breath of fresh air in that regard. Incredible characterization, subtle, well done, I wish the creators the best. Hell, part of me is just excited for more horror series on here with subtext and themes you can analyze like a regular short film.
As for series to look out for, it’s young and clearly a very low budget project, but I’ve been really impressed with how clearly passionate the creators are about White Stag Education, and how ambiguous they’ve left things. You can just feel how much they care about trying to do this well, and I appreciate that as someone trying to become a filmmaker myself. It clearly feels like a passion project, and is primed for expansion and meaning.
those are my two favorites!! something about them always felt like it was different than others, angel hare probably because it's less scary and more of a tragic story. passion projects puts it into perfect words, they seem genuinely so thought out and like the creators are enjoying making them
I do love AH and think it is perfect as is, but a part of me wishes it would have done a Wandavision version of animation i.e. step through the different eras.
dude im BEGGING you make another part of your analog horror THAT WAS SO INTRIGUING
i REALLY hope he continues it in some way because it was genuinely intriguing
im actually really happy it ended where it did, adds a lot to the uneasy feeling. but i do hope he commits to a second genuine series
i had such a blast watching this vid !!! love love loved how you explained the different analog horrors n loved your comments. the one u made was also fire, loved the detail at the end of how the person investigating was under distress (seen w how he didn't use punctuation in his notes) n how it was so short n yet so good!!
I loved your analog horror! I liked how understated it was at times, just quietly unsettling, and not showing too much. I don't appreciate that the last photo was developed on my birthday, though!!
I was watching this on a really small device and couldn't tell that anything was off with the pictures in your analog horror segment, and then I couldn't stop laughing at the idea that it was just regular pictures with nothing wrong with them. Watching on a monitor and seeing all the small details of the edit recontextualizes everything, but it's still really funny to think of an analog horror where nothing bad actually happens and it's just totally normal but pretends like something bad is happening.
It was a really well made segment though, and a really interesting look at all those series as a whole. Another great video as usual!
That’s actually a great idea lmao
I had an idea for one that's basically "why is the moon fucked up" but the moon isnt fucked and the guy saying it is is just going crazy or something
I feel you, I had to watch the transition he did of the real-to-altered photo of the playset in front of the hedge 12 times before noticing the monster. I was oblivious to the monster until the third set of photos, and even then it was only for a couple. Definitely going to rewatch it on my laptop lol
PRAYING monument mythos is on this list, easily the best analog horror out there
Hey hey hey! S-tier baby!
I wished he mentioned season 3 and modern day
I was kinda hoping TMK would be on the list.

"The HORNED SERPENT LIVES"
It's always fun getting halfway through an amazing video and looking at the stats to see it's super underrated. I don't know, just comforting there are still smaller phenomenal TH-camrs. I'll be sticking around for sure ;)
Heyyy! Good to see you on my feed again! Watched the whole thing twice. Found new stuff to watch. Thanks! See you in your next upload!
"No Through Road" has been considered the first analog horror by some, I believe
I thought that was found footage horror, not analog horror.
But in hindsight, i guess both aren't mutually exclusive.
@@CalvinNoireat this point found footage and analog horror have kinda molded together, mostly because just having analog elements and just having found footage elements is boring, you either just have text on the screen or an extremely shaky camera running away from something, so they combine both of them to make better content, whether it's analog horror or found footage just depends on what the creator wants to focus on.
@@Monkeylighthouse On a technical level analog horror is a sub-genre of found footage horror
Marble Hornets could be considered too
Gemini is the type of horror that I think about all the time. It kinda haunts your mind, and makes you wonder what dangers lie hidden in the depths of space.
I'm blown away by how fun this video was, as I write this I just finished watching the segment with your own contribution to the analog horror genre. I'm honestly craving more of that series now, you got me hooked with how engaging it is. Watched most of this vid last night and it inspired one of my buddies and I to poke around at making our own tier list of the series' we've watched thus far. Can't believe you haven't covered Bornblo Hornglo. Or whatever it's called. Immediate S tier for me.
This is awesome! I love how analog horror is finally getting the attention it deserves.
Several other analog horror series I recommend reacting to are Rootkit and String Theory TV. Both are criminally underrated!
the walten files is easily my favourite analogue horror series, it’s not even close. the main thing i love about it is that it’s such a deeply human story, which isn’t that common in the sub genre, as far as i’m aware at least. it also genuinely scares the shit about of me lmao. and bunnyfarm is one of my favourite episodes in any analogue horror series ever, it’s so creative. top tier for me.
the faces.
all of the faces in that series stuck in my mind like grainy photos plastered into my wall so i never forget them.
i cannot express how much i love Martin Walls' uncanny way of drawing faces, and his art style in general, it's part of the series that makes things so special
@@AltKaxREAL oh definitely, susan especially in the most recent episode is just. haunting to look at. a lot of analogue horror leans into faces but i think martin walls does it best by a mile.

Ayo I just found this channel but that analog horror series you made for the last 10 minutes, make more of it please. I am completely invested. Everything before that was great as well.
The analog horror you created at the end of the video had my toes curling, that was horrifying! The pacing was just right and the photos made me dread each next one, the story had me really intrigued and I was left wanting to know more by the ending
I love the criticims and praise you gave, even to projects like urbanspook. its obvious you genuinely care about and enjoy analog horror. YES. ITS NOT JUST A TIER LIST. ITS A FULL REVIEW!! great work man.
You can't guess how HAPPY i was, that not ONLY is *MONUMENT MYTHOS* included here, but it also got the S-Tier treatment.
My god, that's like- my comfort show. If i ever make some sort of analog horror in the future, then you betcha It will feature the same vain of wackiness.
That aside, i pretty much agree with most of your rankings. Although, putting _GREYLOCK_ in the C tier is somewhat criminal, all things considered. But i see where you're coming from; The same issues plague the Monument Mythos. So much so, that it's creator, decided to retcon TWO ENTIRE SEASONS.
Welp.. At least, by the end of it all, i could see the main themes of the story, that the creator was trying to tell.
Knowing you based your little AH at the end of your video in Michigan (Muskegon) makes me so happy! I love it when people use my home state as a location for their projects, we need more Michigan love!
I would LOVE to hear your opinion on Baddington's Harmony & Horror. Great job as always!
i disagree with the petscop censorings comparions to scp redactions for one simple reason. with scp reactions it was pretty muvh always clear that the author of the document had no clue what was behind that black bar while writing, while in petscop i am 100% confident the creator of petscop DOES know whats behind each censoring.
you said it yourself that they deliberately removed information to give a sense of a mystery that doesnt need to be solved, and to me those black boxes are another aspect of that.
tbh Petscop's censorship is more frustrating than anything
Nah its like what he said in the video it was good the first couple of times especially whan paul was there but after a while its not effective
@@hhavi0 you do realize this is an subjective comment right?

@@Fangria yeah I was sharing my opinion calm down bro 😭
@@hhavi0 yeah i know that but you prefaced it with "nah, " like you were trying to debunk an opinion with another opinion so i commented on that
I understand with your Greylock critiques, but the point behind all those various stories is to set up how all of these things will come to head. Everything we see there is either abusing whatever makes Mount Greylock the way it is, or are caused as a result of it. Season 2 will most likely show us the consequences of all these different plots converging into one. It’s a fairly interesting way of telling the story imo
Some of the plotpoints are already implied to be connected, like the babies disappearing, both in general and from wombs, is probably because of people's child wishes manifesting thoughtforms.
I like how this comment is trying to make a critical point on something he already covered...

I would really like to see your team work on a full analog horror series. The sound design is amazing, the photo editing is subtle enough that you have to search for your scare and the writing is excellent. A lot of series lack either a terrifying pay off or a good build up while this has both, truly unnerving stuff
Urbanspook had potential but putting it in the same tier as Greylock is an insult to the latter 😭 I do agree that it wasn’t as good as everyone made it out to be. Urbanspook should’ve been in D though.
Unknowingly the creator of The Man In The Suit has been working with a team for a while now, and the newest video is what came of it, "The Ghidorah Suit Incident"
ooooo i loved ur bit at the end. the way the monster was well hidden but compeltely non-present in a few of the photos at random is genius. had me going halfway mad trying to figure out where it was in the photo before i realized it just actually wasnt there, and i still feel unsure
Nice video, sometimes a short description and the reasoning makes me view these series in a different light. Good video, also I liked the lil analog horror at the end, wish it was a bit more subtle and a bit harder to tell but easy enough that you could sense a difference
Genuinely surprised to not see Kane Pixel's Backrooms here, or even mentioned considering it is THE Analog Horror currently. Hell, even The Longest View, though I suppose that's not Analog, is it?
The Bit you made at the end was really good since I didn't see the monster until the Pool picture, and KNEW I had to go back as it'd have to have been shown before.

… after I rewatch Monument Mythos five more times
I really enjoyed your analog horror at the end! I think one of the strongest aspects was actually the ambience that slowly grew as the pictures went on, it was an excellent soundscape. My only critique is that it could have benefited from some narration, so that might be worth a look into if you do more. The story was really intriguing though and I think you successfully created a good short spooky story!
I also really enjoyed the way you handled ranking all the different series, I never felt you were unfair in your critiques and your comedic timing is very good. Definitely subscribing!
I was wishing that this video included "the children under the house" by vintage 8. It honestly has a really unique and creative way of story telling. Unlike the oracle project/the tangi virus, I don't remember it suffering from things that distract you from the main story. I highly recommend it and if this video gets a part 2, I'd love to see you talking about it.
I loved that one, it felt nice for some reason
That one made me cry it’s such a sweet story we need more Analog Horrors that end on a bittersweet note
