Parents, for the love of God, please PLEASE talk to your children about strangers on the internet. That includes online games.
It is not sus to ask what games your kids are playing and who their firends are online
Yes, before they get involved with the Cartel and drug trafficking!!
(In all seriousness the fact it's even a possibility is stomach churning)
Parents don't always have the power though. Did you always listen to your parents? Sadly at some point some kids stop listening to their parents or teachers and do as they want anyway. Kids think they know better when they don't. Mom told me all the time that people I talk to online are probably bad news (they weren't, thankfully, I talk to them to this day, been around 18 years by now) and probably would never allow me to meet up with them back then but if I was particularly rebellious nothing would stop me from just lying about where I'm going to meet up with them.
Especially since these kids are usually threatened by these people that they will hurt their family etc. You can see that in the first girl's case the mom literally forbid her from going anywhere but she left when mom wasn't around.
It's not strangers kids should be afraid of. It's 'tricky people' that they should be told about. The focus should be on suspicious actions, not unfamiliarity.
@@Jhud69There are right and wrong ways to teach online safety. Just saying everyone is evil and using scare tactics doesn't help at all, especially when it's obviously not true.
Growing up I saw a few PSA's and news reports about strangers, texting, and online chatting. At first I was a little scared and figured I'd stay away from that stuff so it never happens to me, but as time went on I eventually started using them like everyone else, and I figured you'd have to be a moron to end up like one of those PSA victims. After all, the PSA's never made everyone out to be evil, they basically just said to think, have common sense, self-respect, and don't be a fool.
I figure if you teach kids about common sense and self-respect early on, their desire to not be seen as an idiot will help way more than being fearmongered by hover parents. Even right now, everyone says "parents monitor your kids", but if you as a kid get frustrated by your hover parent and look up to see if anyone else has the same feelings, you're gonna find hundreds of posts about toxic control freak parents and how you shouldn't listen to them. Then you end up doing something stupid.
As I mexican I would add that most of the responsibility of this issue comes from the corruption at the government and the poverty of some areas. But the media and the politicians target the videogames as the main issue instead of a media to contact the victims, also there is a lot of problems with the "narcocultura" as a form of media that displays the drug cartels as celebrities and role models to the young audience. Good job being respectful and serious about this issue, Jorge.
Yeah, I am Sick and tired of Univision and Televisa's BS Anti-Video game Agenda. They are part of the problem IMO

Free Fire is pretty popular here in México because it can run on low end phones pretty easiliy, which as you can tell, attracts cartels to try and get people on their side, since they don't usually have a lot of money.
I know it sounded pretty classist, but it happens a lot, the cartel prays on poorly educated people as they don't really have lots of ways to have decent income.
It sucks that happens to games like that. It's really awesome to have game creators make games that can run good on lower end devices which makes gaming more accessible to all ages and incomes and not just for those that have the money to afford either an extremely expensive high end pc or one of the expensive sometimes hard to get gaming consoles. While I personally do own a ps5, I also have an old android tablet (Samsung galaxy tab s2) that I love playing Minecraft, XCOM, Terraria, and Don't Starve games on when away from home. Gamers, especially younger ones, do need to be careful when playing online, and no one should accept any real life job offers from strangers in a video game.
I mean, the reason narcos exist is because our ecnomy is so fucked, boys would rather kill their fellow Mexicans rather than let their families starve.
it doesn't sound classist lmao it's quite literally statistically proven that people from lower income backgrounds are more likely to engage in dangerous behavior bc they feel like they have less to lose and the system they're part of has failed them
@@hamilcrossstatistically proven by some low life on a TH-cam comment 😂
It's also very popular in my country Indonesia too since most kids around my neighborhood played it more and even prefer it over pubg
I lived in mexico for two years and in those two years i meet one of our neighbors that lived across the street. The girl told us that she wanted to study for criminology. Then i then came back to the USA a year later my mom told me that her mother reported her missing. My heart dropped even though i didn't know her well. They havent found her but i hope her family is okay.
Just think about it: the girl maybe was very vocal about her wishes and some visionary thought about _putting down a potential threat_ ahead of time. Many kids want to do something about the permanent crimewave but crime reaches them first before they can even try to change their cities, let alone their neighborhoods
I am okay
What part of Mexico was she from?
If you study criminology in Mexico, your already in a trouble, people often make jokes about that career because is a death sentence.
They probably used her holes really good
This, is fucking heartbreaking. What’s even sadder is my friend’s college professor has family in Mexico and his 20 year old nephew went missing due to the cartel. He had his whole life ahead of him.
I'm sorry this happened to your friend's family and I hope this missing person is found
My uncle went missing in Mexico back in 2018 and he was never found. It hurts me everytime I think about him because he was a dork, a nerd, he liked games, and to think he just disappeared just like that? He left 2 kids and it hurts knowing they'll never get to meet his dad ever again. Miss you Uncle 💔

People always talk about how videogames cause violence, but the real problem is the predators and cartel recruiters lurking there.
You’re not very bright, are you?
You have completely missed the point of the argument that video games are linked to violence.
The ‘real problem’ is certainly not ‘predators’ or ‘cartel recruiters’.
Accessibility and lack of education are infinitely bigger than the problems you have stated.
Maybe educate yourself before making stupid statements.
Wonder which country sold them guns and buys their product.
I wonder which nation and government agencies started this
Unfortunately, people also can't do anything about all those criminal elements/abusers (as there are too many), but people CAN pass laws about video games, or try to physically control what their kids play. It's easy for people to demonize the video games and ignore the abusers, the TRUE problem... but the fact is, it's all people _can_ do... outside of teaching their kids about safety properly, I guess.
Ideally, people should think critically, and know that predators can use any media and any platform, and one must be vigilant... but it's easier to just say video games are bad and blame it all on video games. (But to be fair, kids can be hard to teach too. It's easy to not believe something until it happens.)
EDIT: Specifically for the situation in Mexico, maybe vigilance won't be good enough. But if you have a better solution, go ahead and mention it. I don't have a good solution there, but I'd think having critical thinking and vigilance is always better than NOT having critical thinking and vigilance.
@@aquablast3155Funny thing is I don’t see children as the issue in your ideal scenario. It’s the critical thinking on the rest of adults aspect. Being the child of two Mexican immigrants, I have never been to Mexico. But I often see the intense frustration and anger my parents have anytime the cartel is brought up as a subject.
And I get it since my parents lived in Mexico themselves. How horrific these you could almost say, domestic terrorist are.
I am Mexican, born and raised. The cartels bring a lot of pain to Mexican society. Virtually nobody is foreign to the pain they cause. But the real issue is the government corruption that allows them to continue existing, who forges alliances with them, who exploits them to cling to power and conduct business with them. There are endless examples at every level of government, by every administration from the 3 parties who have ruled the country in the past couple of decades. It has gotten so shameless and cynical, that it's impossible to ignore, and leads most Mexicans to apathy.
Don't believe the American sensationalist narratives. The cartels don't run the country, nor are they the biggest problem.
@@CemeteryGates17if EL Salvador can fix their cartel and gang problems I'm pretty sure mexico can do the same but it may take a lot longer as mexico is bigger than el salvador
Always keep in mind when bringing up the cartels that the United States repeatedly asked for the Mexican government to label cartels as a terrorist group as the FBI does with several groups. They refused every single time.
@@DGTelevsionNetwork And they will refuse as long as Mexico is a country, because NO ONE in 130 million wants a US invasion. NO ONE outside the US wants US world police. If you want to help, stop the gun smugglers and get your country to do something about consumerism of drugs. If you want to meddle with Mexico, put economic pressure on allowing cartels free reign. But know that NO ONE in Mexico will tolerate the terrorist designation. It would be political suicide, asking for an armed revolution.
@@damikey18el Salvador’s criminals were all drug addicted junkie bum types. They had 0 organization and laughable firepower. The cartels are paramilitary, extremely rich, and are armed by the USA. It’s not even remotely comparable. Just cause they’re both Hispanic doesn’t mean it’s the same situation. That’s basically a racist statement.
Fun fact and correction: Not even the CARTEL will traffic fentanyl anymore, and will punish those doing so. Puts how crazy fentanyl is in perspective when even the Cartel says "nah, too dangerous."
They would happily traffic fentanyl but it’s attracting too much negative attention which is why they’re claiming to have stopped. I bet every single person the cartel “turns over” for fentanyl trafficking is a scapegoat and none of the real traffickers get punished.
They didn't really stop trafficking fent, it's just a propaganda campaign to make themselves look like good people and be able to scapegoat any accusations, "oh i don't sell fent, it totally was this guy that we handed you over", cartels do this sort of stuff all the time because a population that likes them is less inclined to snitch on them

During my time in the U..S. Army, I spent a summer in the then called School of the Americas in Ft. Benning. I assisted the SF cadre primarily because I am bilingual with my skills as a Combat Engineer to teach military and law enforcement in demolitions. A look at the schools history is a gaggle of infamous alumni from Manuel Noriega to Los Zetas. Did I teach the cartels in military skills and tactics as the students were from Nicaragua, Columbia an El Salvador? Maybe. My point is that all this mess south of the U.S. did not come from a vacuum, you can say at least some came courtesy of Uncle Sam.
It is now called WINSEC and yes you were. I’m very familiar with it…
Yes, our government is at the least indirectly responsible for much of the situation and according to some it may be more intentional and direct than could be explained by simple incompetence. The situation in the middle east right now is another case where we have done more to create that conflict than anyone realizes. Again that could be from simple shortsighted but well intentioned actions or it could be part of some long term plan where they are actually getting the intended results for any variety of reasons. We'll probably never know for sure either way.

Case 5 doesn't really make sense logistically. According to the story the girl was recruited to drive to Mexico from Phoenix and it sounds like she was stopped going into Mexico with the meth in the gas tank, I would expect them to be moving the product from Mexico and into the US. If anyone is caught going to Mexico I would expect them to find either cash or weapons. Maybe I misunderstood the time line but it seems strange if it happened the way it sounds.
I thought this was strange as well...
I was thinking the same, why would they smuggle drugs into Mexico? How did she even get stopped, every time I’ve gone into Mexico they just let everyone in, no passport or anything needed.
Based on my knowledge of the drug trade, this isn't surprising to me, in some parts of the US there's a huge meth problem, The Midwest and Southwest region of the US are notorious for meth labs, US drug gangs would illegally export them, making boatloads of money in black markets around the world, The only thing I'm surprised about, is the fact that they somehow convinced her to do it.
@@OatmealGrillBlazer That used to be the case years ago until the US cracked down on imports if the raw ingredients used to make meth. Nowadays 99% of the meth is manufactured in super labs in Mexico where they can import raw ingredients by the ton. They make the highest quality meth now and import it to the US in either crystal or liquid form. I live in central Texas along the I35 corridor where tons of the stuff comes up from Laredo and the other border towns so we have regular busts of people moving it north to distribute through the country. Normally the only thing going south is cash or guns for the cartels. There is no logical reason to snuggle meth into Mexico, it's not only in greater demand in the US but we just can't make a better product than the cartels now because of how hard it is to get ephedrine here in the States.

This saddens me immensely. I have a feeling that a fair portion of the cartel are actually good people just driven into doing things simply out of poverty. Unfortunately, that is a pattern. Last year I went to Mexico to visit family and my cousin were glued to the game. It’s a very scary thought to think of them as victims like the cases you talked about. Even my uncle would warn them to be safe and would constantly ask who was the voice they’d be playing with.
all of latin america plays it because it can play on lower end phones and it is free. el fri fai alv
Your uncle is doing a great job!
On that last note, it'd be interesting to look into how certain popular war game franchises take money from the us military, which may be why games like that stopped being in any way critical of the military. I recommend spec ops the line for the opposite experience, but its heavy.
the most depressing point about living in a dystopian world as we do is, that human in times of crisis tend to consume more entertainment to distract themself from the world around them...
Always a good time to be alive when I see a video 2 minutes after being uploaded by jorge
Your voice makes these videos so much better
The thing that frustrating me is parents would completely ignore what their children playing with potential kidnappers, educate them with online safety, or just ban Online games completely from the house.
But go on this crusade of "protecting the children" and believing that "They coming for your kids through video games". Because Microsoft sent out an update out to every Xbox, to turn the Xbox it self off when not in use rather than going to sleep. Saving power from being wasted.
Well for educating , some parents barely have internet knowledge themselves (yk some older folks believing anything on social media) and banning isn’t going to help bc children will just find a way. Not that I don’t agree but trying to expand your viewpoint
Been watching your vids since like 2016. Luv it and u.
Love your vids man 💯
Mexico is beautiful, but I'm never ever going to visit
Guess Jorge wasn’t kidding when he said get ready for October
A Blameitonjorge video on my lunch break? Yes please!!!!
3 blameitonjorge videos in one month. I don't know how this is possible, but I'm all for it. I cherish every new video no matter how close or far apart they are.
u got one thing wrong, cartels don’t mess w fentanyl. It’s bad for business.
True
Very glad to see a video by you that isnt lost media! You're one of my favorite channels and I enjoy your deep dives into everything
That said, is there any chance that you will acknowledge the BetterHelp sponsor from the last video? They're a very possibly harmful company and I feel like the backlash was enough to warrant an acknowledgement
attention seeker
Most have forgotten about it by now. Bringing it up would just rehash it and make people who didn't know about it before more upset. Avoiding any allegations and acting like they never happened while continuing whatever they were doing before the allegations is Influencer 101.
@@TheBeastlyFollower Nah, he did the right thing. Seeing how hard things exploded back then, no matter what he said about it, most wouldn't have let it die any time soon. After all, people love to be able to ridicule others when they believe that they have the moral high ground.
It’s always a good day when Jorge blesses us with a new video
ANOTHER VID SO SOON? Jorge, you are *on a roll!*
Last year I came across a couple of accounts with Latino nicknames with [CJNG] and [CDN] clan tags in BF4. I haven't seen them back in BF4 since they're both probably dead at this point and who star in a video where they're unheaded and unlimbed by the opposing cartel.
If you play GTAV online there are still plenty of those clan tags. Be safe out there.
@@erikmiranda4542 luckily I don't play that game anymore due to the griefers. Appreciate it bud, you too stay safe out there.
lol they're just kids putting that as their tags real cartel members don't have time to play video games they playing gta irl already
@@yea9725 you're probably 100% right 😂 I think I forgot to mention they had the emblem with their respective cartel logo, I doubt kids have time to do that. Who knows if they do have time for that because I don't lmao.
This the same dude that got blackout drunk and started punching a table at an airbnb at vidcon saying "But I have 600,000 subscribers" every time I told him to stop. How far we have come!
My bro from El Salvador would play this
This is the real youtube...I feel like I went back in time keep this going this tone is perfect
1. Jorge, plz don’t stop these kind of videos. Yes I still enjoy your lost media / conspiracy videos, but these are also very enjoyable :)
2. Always be cautious when socializing online, and never have 100% trust on anyone (but especially a complete stranger you never met)
some of these cases are related to human trafficking... a bussiness for the wealth, not only drugs related
thank you 🙌
jorge is uploading so much this season 🙏
jorge, thank you for bringing this to our attention. the importance of knowing other languages is not brought to our attention nearly enough, as most of us wouldnt know anything about it unless a spanish speaker was able to share it with us. great vid as always!
I'm a native Spanish speaker living in Latin America and had never heard of any of this before, but to be fair I'm Argentinian so I often don't know about what's going on in the opposite corner of LatAm, news over here tend to ignore that Central America and Mexico even exist.
I've seen ads for Free Fire so I was aware of that game being a thing but I'm pretty sure most kids here play Fortnite... I guess, I'm in my thirties and have no children so I could be very wrong.
He is very much not a spanish speaker. at least not fluent. look at how he pronounces spanish words.
@@Spootprime he has a second channel entirely in spanish….?
We are so up with these uploads
That E-Sports team is no joke, and couple days ago my captain brought it up during an all hands to ask if anyone was interested to join.
3 jorge vids in 1 month we eatin so good 😭😭🙏🙏
This is like if the Bloods and Crips (or other certain horrible groups) started recruiting on Call of Duty
It really shows how much the world is on fire crap like this would ever be possible...
We need better role models in this world, positive influences` right now it seems humanity as a whole is just lost...
I love you soo much Jorge!! I've watched almost all your videos!! You are my favorite TH-camr!! I would love to see you collaborate with Tuv & Gubby ❤️
Crazy topic today
I once read that most movies with war scenes or tanks or anything like that are usually contracted thru the us military. Its too expensive to buy this equipment so they rent it from the military but one of the catches is that the military gets to cut out and gets final say about whats said and how the us military is portrayed
That Night Trap clip is so funny because the point of the game is the literal exact opposite of what dude is saying.
Woo lets go a new video!
Three videos in under a month?? We have been thankful.
To be fair, it's not video games, but people who communicate directly in video games. It's not like playing the games themselves do anything. To that end, any place where people can mingle anonymously is a potential threat.
Mexico ( the state ) sucks but Mexicans are some of the friendliest people on the planet. It's a damn shame that some of the best people we've got are plagued by such violence.
so it's not the mexican people who are in the cartel? that are kidnapping these children
You guys are cool. Makes me hope I can be more fluent in spanish... soy bobo
The Caucasians are predominantly the ones to blame. Nixon, Reagan, Obama and government agencies investing in this war
It's the money . Lots of money involved
BLAMEITONJORGE IS BACK YO!
Can’t help but be reminded of Alicia Navarro’s case, who also met someone online through gaming and ran away.
Jorge has blessed us yet again 🙏⭐️🐐👑
He never fails to bless us with these videos
